I got a flat tire this morning in the pouring rain. Cody came super fast and was so kind and professional! He made sure I sat in the car so I didnt get rained on and was super fast. Was supposed to have my car picked up in 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour I called Define doubt where they coming? They acted like they didnt even know that they were books to pick me up and they told me that it would be a half hour. 1/2 hour beyond the first whole hour that I sat there in a hot car as a diabetic with no food or water. Half hour went by no truck. AAA called me to make sure that I was picked up and everything was okay. They called and said that theyd be there at the total Mark of 2 hours. They went beyond the two hours by a few minutes and finally towed my car. But I was abandoned stranded right on the side of the road because they dont allow the person to ride in the car or drive with the driver. Thats aaas fault. They just leave you by the side of the road now they dont allow for you to ride home with the car. F*** AAA and f*** Fifers

I havent used them for a few years however when I did use them they were very knowledgeable very reasonable and provided the services on time. I just recommended them to my neighbor. A local business that we should support whos been in business for many years and has a proven track record.

AAA called this business to replace a battery on a Class C RV ... they said they do not replace RV batteries as they don’t have the equipment... this is a Ford 450 truck that powers the RV. ... they replaced the battery several years ago but are under new ownership... don’t call or bother with this business...very disappointing..

THIEVES THIEVES THIEVES!!!!!! Absolute worst place in dunedin. I wouldnt trust them to air up a tire. I was involved in an accident 8/6/2020 and my car was towed from the scene. After getting out of the hospital i went to their lot to retrieve my belongings from the car. My car was absolutely RANSACKED and my entire sound system and brand new 200 dollar skateboard were stolen from my trunk, my speakers ripped from the wiring. My car was on 4 different cameras in their lot and they cant “retrieve the footage”. Absolute lowlife scumbags. Gives good tow truck operators a TERRIBLE name.

I was referred to them. I asked if they could install a hitch on my Wrangler after I sheared off a bolt trying to do it myself. They said yes and I dropped it off when they told me to. They had it from Tues afternoon to Friday afternoon and no work was done. They said it was on the lift but when I road my bike over it was not on the lift. I took it home. I’m frustrated. They said they did not have the necessary tool to take care of a sheared bolt. Disappointed.

Great service, great pricing. I called to have my car towed and taken to their shop to replace a clutch. They came in at same price as other quotes and took time out of their busy days to get the job done. Not an easy task as its an older jeep and took quite a bit to get bolts undone etc. Took their time (still only without vehicle two days), did it right, not one busted bolt, and runs great. I cannot thank them enough. Bobby always called back or took time for my call. Never once came at me with upsells to fix all the other stuff that is wrong with my ancient jeep. Thank you!!

Ive recent been using Pfeifer Automotive for my autobody needs. Last year, my truck was in a fender bender and they made the front of the vehicle look like new. This year, I had a nasty scratch on my truck from a mailbox that appeared to jump out behind my truck. The scratch was done professionally with no blemishes. Now for an even more recent misfortune, my wifes SUV engine broke down with a major failure with an internal valve. I was given two options, replace the valve for a lot of money, or spend a little more to replace the engine. This is the worst case scenario when it comes to vehicles and I was experiencing it. So, I decided an engine replacement was the best solution rather than buying a whole new car. I was very impressed with the quality of work done. The engine is so smooth and has not been giving us any issues. And its backed by a warranty. A little piece of mind for the next 3 years! Thank you Pfeifer. If I had to give feedback for improvement is the communication back to the customer regarding any repair time. The vehicle was there for an extensive period of time, but worth the wait to make sure the job was done right.

My 87 year old mothers car would not start. The battery appeared to be dead. I pushed the car out of her garage so that I could jump start it and when I looked at the battery, it was a mess! Acid had bubbled all over the battery. I called AAA and they told me that they would send someone with an estimated wait time of 1 hour and 30 minutes. I no sooner hung up the phone and a representative from Pfeifer called and said the service tech would be there within 20 minutes. About 10 minutes later, Aaron arrived. He worked on cleaning the battery, cables and connections for over an hour. He was able to salvage the cables and replace the battery on the spot. He advised us that my mother should have her cables checked in the near future as they may need replaced. I cant begin to thank Pfeifer and Aaron for the amazing service (and peace of mind) that they provided to my mother. If I ever need to call AAA for roadside assistance in the future, I hope that they send Pfeifer. We were pleased with the service/work provided by Aaron.

My truck wouldnt start so I used the AAA app for roadside assistance. They dispatched Pfeifer Auto Services. The driver called me because the location was unclear to him, I described my location in detail, he said ok, thank you buddy, hung up, and never showed up. I tried to call him back on the number he called from and it went straight to voicemail. Luckily AAA sent somebody else from a different company who had me up and running in 20 minutes. If Pfeifer Auto Service would have been my only option Id probably still be sitting there.

Jared was great. He constantly kept me in the loop as to what was wrong with my vehicle. It was tricky but they were able to diagnose and fix it immediately. This was my first time using them for repairs and I wi definitely recommend then to my friends.

AAA sent them to jump my car which was inside my very small garage. I asked him to please wear a mask (I have family members who are risk for COVID but that shouldn’t matter). He said “I don’t wear a mask because I’m an American and I chose not to.” This is not not political. I’m an American too and I chose not to be exposed to a deadly virus. To refuse to wear a mask when you’re in someone’s home is just disrespectful.

My vehicle was towed in and I thought that I was going to have a problem that cost thousands of dollars since there was smoke coming out of the hood. They kept the vehicle for two days to find out what the problem was. I checked periodically through the day and they always were prompt and honest. There a lot of mechanics out there that may try to find a problem to run up a bill. They could not find a problem and did not charge me a diagnostic fee. I paid nothing. As a nice gesture, they even fixed my key for me. Throughout the whole time, I spoke to several mechanics at this shop along with the office manager. Everybody was extremely professional. These days, it seems as if customer service is obsolete. This shop puts their customers first and I would recommend them to anyone that has car problems. Thank you for your great service!

I was run off the road on my way to work and blew two tires which left me stranded. Stephanie was extremely kind and helpful and sent a tow right away. They were out there quickly and had my car towed to the tire place so fast! Best service ever. So thankful for them. They made a scary situation way more manageable.

In your shop:The truck was diagnosed with a bad fuel pump. Attempts to change did not help. The computer was stated as being bad and a new computer with flash would exceed any repair cost we were willing to absorb for the 2005 vehicle.We paid $169.73 and had the vehicle delivered to the house. Home troubleshooting discovered the vibration dampener separated and affected the crankshaft sensor rendering the vehicle with no spark. We changed the dampener and the sensor and all functions well. Although we did discover the passenger side fuel pump cannon plug was still disconnected. On reconnect it all came up.I discovered the fault at home. Your technicians had a shop and years of experience. I don’t understand how a capable group of technicians did not check for a simple spark to determine fault and instead, immediately went for shot gunning the big part. I’m not sure if this is poor work knowledge or poor troubleshooting but I do know for sure I could not in good conscience refer anyone to a shop that cannot troubleshoot effectively.

Recently had my car towed by Pfeifer (AAA) to their shop for repair . I can highly recommend Pfeifers towing service. Theyve always been professional and competent. From my latest experience though I would not recommend Pfeifer for auto service. I had a small hard-to-find part fail. There was insufficient communication on part lead time. My car was at their facility for over one week. When I picked the car up and lifted the hood, there was trash on top of my battery that I had to remove. Later, I noticed that the fluid Pfeifer supposedly added as part of the repair was barely showing in the reservoir and dangerously low. I recommend using Pfeifers towing service, just dont have them to tow your car to their shop.

I had called AAA because my vehicle batteries were completely drained/dead. The first technician they had sent was unable to start my truck; however the following day Jay and his partner from Pfeifers Towing arrived and were able to start the truck. My problem was not an easy one to resolve as a diesel requires two batteries for which both had no charge. With creative and innovating quick thinking along with Jays determination/motivation not to give up, they saved me a large headache of calling a oversized vehicle tow. Thank you Jay for your extreme determination and for being the diesel superheroes!

Everyone here is amazing! They stepped up to the plate when another so call mechanic shop failed miserably and completely misdiagnosed a problem on my car. They took care of us, got the problem fixed and got it fixed quickly, along with always keeping us updated along the way. They even went above and beyond to have my car delivered to me while I was at work. I highly recommend them.

I love this shop, I went to a different shop prior and it was a horrible experience and spent 400 dollars just for my car to break down again with the same issue. AAA referred me to tow my car to this shop for an issue. They tried price gouging my girlfriend charging nearly double what 3 other places quoted me. When I asked them to be competitive to the pricing, they said take it or leave it. I left it, and had AAA tow it to another mechanic station. AAA happened to dispatch them to tow my car out of their own lot, and drive it to the other mechanic. I guess since they were upset that they werent getting my business, they dumped my car in some random location. AAA gave them the name and address of the new location, and confirmed it with them. They decided to ditch it in a random place, and told AAA it was delivered. AAA is launching an investigation into revoking their AAA accreditation due to unethical practices. Thanks for trying to screw me over, this review is going to be a stain on your establishment.

I called AAA to tow my car in Clearwater florida to Tampa. Around 12pm. I waited till 5:30,5 plus hours for them to arrive.. there dispatcher during those 5 hours would say things like.. 45 min away... enroute. 6 miles away.... 20 minutes away.. I may have called 15 times and got diffrent answers every time. In 5 plus hours they never showed. AAA finally after that amount of time said I could leave and they would get the vehicle shortly and break there own policy so I did not have to be present, but they would be there any moment. I had waited enough moments and left. As I left 3 minutes down the road here they are and I see them headed towards my vehicle... suddenly to see a u-turn! More than likely .. a call saying the customer isn’t there anymore. No rush! Although I called one hour later to find out my vehicle was not picked up and that the driver had a “truck issue” and he was on his way! And would be there soon.. two hours later I call AAA again to find out if my vehicle was not picked up!! as Iv been waiting for over 9 HOURS!! Then the new pfeiffer dispatcher must not have been filled in on all of the days lies... so told AAA that someone would be there soon.. past dispatcher told them “no rush”!!! I cancelled them as my towing service. I do not want them touching my vehicle . And will spread this truth everywhere I can to make it known how they unprofessional this company is. Iv never dealt with anything this bad before

Is there a Zero start for this business? On December 3rd, 2018, I called AAA to tow my sons car to Sams Club, and the Pfeiffer came round 7:20 pm. The man was in hurry telling me that it is better to fill in the spare with air because it will take more time to tow it to Sams Club as I requested originally. He kept saying that there is a mother with a child waiting for his help. So, he filled in the spare with air but he needed to find the PSI so he entered the car and put it on a reverse and this is when we hear the rumbling. He claimed that my son did not tighten the bolt and he would take it off an redo it for me. After he finished with the air, he unscrewed the bolt which all but one came very easily, he examined the disc and kept saying that there is a bend in it and maybe this is where we hear the rumbling, then with all his force he put the bolt back. He tried again to reverse it and we still hear the same rumbling. Finally, he agreed to tow it to Sams Club and asked me to go ahead of him so I can catch the tires department before they close. I did. Almost 20 minutes later, he arrived with the car at Sams club and told me how bad the car rumbling and invited me to drive it. I declined and he gave me the brochure of his business then he left. The next day, I arrived at Sams Club and asked them to fix the original tire and replace it in its place, and put the spare in the trunk. Sams club technician informed me that they can not unscrew the bolts, plus the rumbling noise. They declined to replace the tire. I had to call AAA again to tow it to Potter Precision in South St. Petersburg. On my way to the mechanic, I received a phone call from Pfeiffer as a followup! Really? In my 20 plus years driving my car, I never received a follow up call for a towing that I requested. Very suspicious! At the end of the day, I received a voice mail from the mechanic that there is damage worth over $900 include labor. I filled a complaint with AAA which they were not successful. Now I am taking it to next step.

Its hard to find a mechanic you can trust. Thankfully the people at Pfeifer Auto are great! I had to take my 2009 Toyota Prius in because it felt like it was riding hard and it sounded loud. It didnt take them long to run a diagnosis on it and fix it. Now it sounds quiet and they did it for exactly the price they quoted. Best of all they didnt call me while they had my car at there shop and try to sell me on other problems. We all know what Im talking about. Ive dealt with that too many times with other places.I would recommend them to anyone in the Dunedin/Clearwater area or pinellas county for that matter. Its hard to find a mechanic you can trust. Jared and his team were great.

My mom and i used them all the time for repairs. always charged fairly and did a great job. they sold me my first car (1999 Honda Accord), which was definitely a fixer-upper with +200,000 miles on it.... some of the initial repairs they didn’t even charge me for because the car was already on its last legs. it last me about a year and a half. but without them, i wouldnt have been able to afford my first vehicle or any repairs. eventually traded it in for a 2016 chevy sonic. surprisingly got $1,000 trade-in because one of the components in it was so rare! despite a bad oil leak and engine problems. i’ll always recommended pfeifer to anyone for repairs, especially jared. very caring, efficient, and fair staff. thank you for all you do!

Made my car look new they proformed magic and great service

If I could give a negative star I would. Let me state that this isnt a bitter, get back at them bad review. I simply want to state the facts & let consumers decide for themselves. I called aaa due to a dead battery &had to wait over 2 hours for pfeifers to respond. When the service tech arrived, he sat in the air conditioned truck for another 10 minutes while my passenger and I were still miserable from the 2 hour wait in the summer heat. The service tech could not find a ground as my battery had rubber boots on the battery cables. He cut through the posovtive boot to get a connection, but kept moving the boost pack clamp from one spot to another in the engine compartment looking for a proper ground. Each time hed say, Try it now,. Click-click- click, time after time. The tech inadvertently caused an arch, or, spark, which shorted out my blower motor resistor, a weak link in the electronics. Prior to this improper jump, my a/c was working just fine. After this arching jump, my a/c was not working at all on the way home ( per my passenger as well). I notified aaa motor club who agreed that it was an improper jump, but needed to get an impartial diagnosis by a aaa approved ASE certified mechanic. They sent me to Victory automotive in St.Pete for the diagnosis. After a 3 hour computer diagnosis & evaluation by the lead technician, Kyle, he determined thatby the service tech searching out a ground, he caused an arch, which fried the blower motor resistor & possibly damaged the blower motor as well. aaa motor club agreed with this diagnosis and authorized the repair to be done immediately. As I waited, Kyle came to the waiting room to notify me a wrong part was sent & the correct part was more expensive so aaa decided to halt the repair to try and get pfeifers assistance in paying for their negligence. I was told this could take a week, to take my car home and wait to here from aaa. Victory provided me with an email saying pfeifers tech caused the damage to my car.A week later, aaa notified me that Robert Pfeifer was claiming the problem with my car was a pre-existingcondition. Sounds like a corporate insurance sales rep denying a claim. Jose Morales of aaa claimed that mr. Pfeifer was adamant about denying any responsibility & would not even meet him 1/2 way to get my car fixed. I am a volunteer with project pup, I take my service dog to nursing homes to bring joy into the lives ofotherwise lonely folks. Without a/c in my car, I can not drive to and from nursing homes in the hot summerFlorida heat. Boomer is an austrailan Shepard who is a long hair breed. I made both aaa, and, Robert Pfeifer aware of this. Obviously both Pfeifer auto & aaa place more importance on the $$$$ than on humanitarian issues. aaa said since Pfeifer is an independent contractor for them, I will have to hire an attorney at my expense, and sue them for repairs of my cars a/c. Since Im disabled and live on a fixed income, this is a huge feat. They know this. Keep in mind if you have aaa, and you call them for car trouble, if the contractordamages your car in anyway, aaa will not back you up. And if the contractor is anything like Pfeifer, you are on your own. Especially if you dont have the money to restore your car to its original working order. You can go from a happy volunteer helping others, to a minimally restricted driver due to no a/c, through absolutely no fault of my own.....

Quick Service, Reasonably priced

Driver was very rude and did not know what he was doing. Would not put car in drive way he left on road with all 4 wheels in the road and away from curb. Got in our faces and threaten to beat us and told us to shut up. Had to call cops. Wouldnt recommend this company to anyone.
