Some of the best pastries in town! I especially love the fun flavors in the muffins and scones. I highly recommend the tea lattes. If you dont do caffeine, ask for the vanilla rooibos latte. Great selection of non-dairy milks. Soups are usually ready a little after 10:30 if you need an early lunch.

I came in to dubuque with a craving for coffee, and usually when that hits we head over to a chain coffee shop. That is until I was told Jitterz coffee & cafe offered gluten free options for breakfast. They had a wonderful selection of gluten free muffins that I devoured within seconds of purchase and the coffee was much better than anything i could pick up at a chain shop. I will definitely be coming back again.

One of the best iced mochas I’ve had. Cute little place, it seems like the kind of place that each time you go is a little different based on who has control of the music, and they’ve got some cool artwork on the walls that I’m guessing changes periodically? Great place, happy workers and delicious coffee! They’re also environmentally conscious, trying to reduce waste which is always a plus.

Tried twice to patronize this business. First time they were closed (it was 1pm!). Second try was a Saturday morning at 1015am. Sign said they closed at 11am. Why!!??? Huge line that overflowed outside. Once the line moved enough to get inside it became clear why the long line and LONG wait. There was only ONE employee taking orders, collecting money and making drinks. We bailed. We try to support local and are not huge Starbucks fans. I’m aware the pandemic has impacted lives everywhere (I’ve been without work since April). It’s just puzzling that the only potential busy day there would be no support to manage the heavy number of patrons (20 minutes is an unreasonable amount of time to wait for a line to barely move). Maybe a friend or family member to help out, since the store was only open for a few hours anyway.

Jitterz coffee is the best in town and the scones are to die for! Centrally located in a beautiful building in downtown dbq. Parking is usually easy to find. Stop for coffee while going to the library, Riverlights Bookstore, or The Food Store down the street! The employees at Jitterz are always friendly, and down to earth. I love stopping here.

Every time I visit, my meal is impeccable! The staff is amazing and makes you feel as if you are the only thing that matters at that moment. We have met so many interesting people there and we love the atmosphere as well. The spicy bean wrap is my absolute favorite and everything is made with care and love. If you are new in town or if you’ve never tried Jitterz, you really should. They make their own stuff and it tastes amazing. It’s one of the most unique places in Dubuque!

Best coffee in town! Best scones in town! Best service in town! Ive been going to Jitterz as my preferred coffee shop for about 10 years now and I absolutely love their coffee - it is life giving - it is magical - it is delicious, and not too sweet if you get flavorings, and they have great milk alternatives (shout out to cashew milk)! and the staff always remembers who I am and my usual orders. They have great pastries too - I mean where else are you going to get flaky croissants and GF and dairy free and vegan muffins that are gourmet and made with love! I always look forward to coming here for my coffee because their products and service are worth it! Hence why their can be a wait or line during peak busy hours because everyone else thinks and knows so too! You can always call your order in ahead of time if youre running short on time. They also have incredible lunch options like soups and sandwiches, and other beverages like chai lattes and Italian sodas. My favorite summer drink if I dont want coffee is an orange and vanilla Italian soda - add cream for a Dreamsicle inspired refreshment! I can gush all day about this place! Im so glad that it exists! Check it out for yourself!

Forget about Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts- this is the place to buy your coffee and breakfast. Nearly every weekend we get a cold brew or sludge cup and a couple of Goodfella breakfast sandwiches. Jitterz also had great lunch sandwiches. I recommend the Spicy Black bean Wrap.Jitterz is artsy, has great coffee and food, and they are environmentally friendly. (Which is rare for Dubuque.)Im moving out of state. Hopefully I can find a coffee shop as awesome as Jitterz when I move.Picture of my last sandwich and cold brew!(Um they keep their cold brew in a Jubeck growler- how cool is that?!)

The coffee shop is my favorite locally owned coffee shop in all of Dubuque, and honestly within a 30 mile radius, because I live in Galena and the coffee just doesnt compare. The owner is one of the most hard working, amazing, determined people I have ever met. Ive been coming to this shop for years now. The employees know me, and my drink order, as soon as I come in. With COVID, obviously things have changed, but the amazing owner is still working all the hours to give people the amazing coffee and home baked goods for all of us who need our Jitters fix. Remember to be kind during this time, because you never know what someone is going through. I will always support this amazing business, not just because their coffee and baked goods are literally the best, but because I have never met a more amazing, kind, compassionate person as the owner. 10/10 always

Jitterz is a down to earth, community oriented staple of the Dubuque experience. They serve the best coffee within a 50 mile radius (if you don’t count their roaster in Platteville—they are good too), the coffee is locally roasted, the baristas are skilled, and the owner is a kind-hearted, compassionate, bright and practical woman who takes coffee seriously. She also has a tasty menu that takes different dietary restrictions into consideration, and makes the best homemade scones this side of the Mississippi.Right now, she’s running the shop completely on her own because of the pandemic. I’m so impressed with her tenacity during this time, and for putting in the work to stick around when things have been so uncertain. I manage(d) café in Boulder Colorado that already went under last month because of pandemic conditions...and we had the University of Colorado at Boulder across the street.Anything less than a five star review for Jitterz is either dishonest or just dumb! Love you!!!

Very nice, and quaint coffee shop. Good coffee selection as well as a good array of breakfast and lunch sandwiches. They also have some of the best gluten free bread bread. The staff is very nice and helpful. The overall prices arent bad, sandwiches are a little expensive for what you get, but not terrible. The atmosphere is quiet, inviting, and comfortable. No couches or lounge chairs, but ample seating for guests with tables to do work on. All in all, it is a very nice coffee shop and I tend to gravitate back there very often.

Whenever Im in the area, I dont miss a chance to pop into Jitterz. One walks through the door and get a warm sense of a community hang-out spot. You can find whole families here for breakfast, or a solitary person perusing the daily paper. The décor and ambience are a cross between a bakery and an antique shop (note the bicycle above the door). With tables by the windows overlooking the street, its a perfect spot for people-watching on an overcast day.Im not a coffee drinker, but Ive always been impressed with the quality and variety of their bulk tea collection. On my last visit, however, the Bai Mu Dan (white peony) tea wasnt what it should have been. I also rely on their breakfast bites. While Im not the fan of white bread, the quantity of food in the egg sandwich is ideal and the price is right for a light snack to go with my tea.

My favorite place to grab a cup of coffee in town! Stopped by after being away for awhile and to show my wife. They recommended adding a pumpkin syrup to my chai and it was fantastic. Also made a super minor mistake that I wouldnt have noticed if they hadnt brought it up and fixed it right away. Awesome friendly service and the pumpkin dirty chai is my new favorite thing. Also if your looking for a veggie option their grilled cheese with spinach tomato and a slice of avocado is one of my favorite options in town for a light lunch!

I ordered a Mocha small. I was exploring Dubuque downtown and happened by the place. Coffee was decent. Nothing extraordinary. Staff was polite. I was serviced almost immediately. Cozy little place. Only reason Im rating it at 3 stars is the noise throughout my 15 minutes spent there. I dont mind the noise from other customers, but there was too much noise from somewhere behind the counter. Loud noises of dishes being dropped. At first I thought it was an accident, but it continued for almost the entire time. It felt as though people were carelessly dropping dishes all around.Overall coffee- good, place interiors and seating- good, staff- good, ambience- can be more pleasant.
