I purchased a fantastic sectional from this place. The couple who own this furniture store are very professional, friendly, and helpful. They were able to deliver my couch quickly (I purchased on a Thursday and received it on the following Tuesday) whereas other furniture places I went to had lead times of up to several months. Great experience, great price, great product, and timely delivery. Would recommend.

The most professional furniture store , he came to my house to measure the dimensions and I furnished my whole house’s furniture with him and delivered all my furniture within 7 days ..he go above and beyond to make customers happy, great store, great price and great services with locally owned retail ..

Sigh. So we bought a couch from Tony earlier this year, and he told us that our purchase price included a 5 year warranty (which sounded too good to be true... I think you can see where this is going).We got some dirt stains on the couch while doing construction on our house. Since the couch didnt have a tag with a cleaning code, we called up Tony and asked him what to do, specifically saying that we didnt want to do anything that might void our warranty. He said that it would be fine to clean it with soap and a bit of water, and that that would not void the warranty. Unfortunately, cleaning it with water made the stain, um, significantly worse.At this point I went to the stores web page and saw that our couch is listed as having a cleaning code of S -- dry clean solvents only, no water. I called Tony and asked about the warranty. He said no, a warranty costs 200 dollars, you didnt buy a warranty, why would I give you a warranty for free? He offered to try to fix it if we drove it to him -- unfortunately, were 50 miles away and cant really devote an entire day to this without a guarantee.Im pretty bummed out about this situation, because I wanted to like Tony a lot -- hes a funny guy -- and it seemed like this was a reputable furniture store.My suggestion for people shopping here is to make absolutely certain you have everything in writing. To be fair, this is probably good advice for life in general. Buyer beware, right?On edit: Hi Tony! I just saw your response. We can come by to pick up the replacement cushions tomorrow morning -- sound good? Ive texted you, shoot me a text any time to confirm.Second edit: Since posting this response where he claimed he’d replace the cushions, Tony has refused all attempts to contact him. This is, I suppose, emblematic of his business practices in general.Needless to say, I do not recommend this store. That said, there’s worse things in the world — we’re going to get the couch professionally cleaned, and hopefully Tony’s bad advice hasn’t caused too much long-term damage.This interaction was a good reminder for me to be on my guard, especially when shopping for something like furniture. Get everything in writing, do not trust anything that the salesman says, and i’m even if you get it in writing review the fine print very, very, very closely. The world is full of scammers. So I guess in conclusion I’d say that American Furnishings is a bad place to get furniture, but a good place to get a valuable life lesson

After shopping at Ashley’s Furniture in early July for a sofa bed and discovering it would take a month due to Covid, I shopped here and found an item I absolutely loved. I needed something sooner. New American Furnishings said that they could arrive with it in a matter of days.The product was delivered timely but had a few minor defects. I took delivery/accepted the item, as the store and I both agreed we could patiently wait to get those from the vendor. The time to get those kept getting backlogged, due to Covid, which has affected every business. Understanding it was out of the the retailer’s control and that it was never my intention to keep a defective item past the normal return window, I approached Tony to work together and find a final resolution. I came back to his store, found a custom sofa bed from a different vendor, and ended up leaving with something I liked more than the original. I got a new couch in just a week!It’s rare to find customer service, let alone from a big box retailer like Ashley’s. It’s also hard to a find a reasonable manager to work with a reasonable customer when things go awry. I totally recommend Tony, his team, store, and customer service. He goes the extra mile, is communicative, sets expectations, and is punctual with delivery times.They have comparable items to Ashley’s at a lower price point and items that are unique that I could not find at their competitor. I also purchased a nice quality modern coffee table that is with current decorative trends.Thank you Tony! We will be back for sure. :)

I shopped around for about a month, then I walked in to American Furniture store. Well that was the best move I could have made.Not only did I find exactly what I wanted, but I got it at a great price.Also the delivery was handed so proffesionally.The owner (Eileen) was very patient showing me option after option. I will be buying all my furniture there in the future.

The staff is super nice and friendly. I would always come back here to shop more if I need just because of the personal conn between the staff and customers. I suggest them to everyone in the bay area. They deliver to long distances in bay area for a small charge.
