Truly an oasis in downtown Detroit. The coffee is superb, the staff are hip and friendly and the vibe is everything that this old punk could desire. The perfect place for an afternoon of java, art making,, book reading or people watching! Oh and the desserts are a amazing and not as spendy as one might expect!

This place is among my favorite in downtown. The vibes are simply all there whether its coffee, desert or a plan getaway from the chaos of the city. But I sure dislike the parking. Its my only complaint that has nothing to do with the shop but it really would make like easier if parking was easier to get to..thats downtown for ya. The service here is next level. The staff knows how to put a smile on your face with top a notch menu. If youre a cheesecake buff, the raspberry one is a hot seller. Overall its a great spot for coffee addicts.

I only passed through quickly one afternoon to pick up coffee for my partner and I. The shop has done a good job adjusting its seating to be Covid compliant. The coffee was very good; no complaints on quality or craftsmanship. I could see myself visiting post-covid to enjoy a latte and a good book. The staff were helpful and attentive, and I got the impression there was a familial bond between them, which always adds to the pleasant atmosphere for me. It lost one star for being a bit cluttered in a few areas, which distracted from the ambiance that otherwise would be very nice. Overall, looking forward to the next time I’m in the area and able to swing through!

Great place at Detroit DT for a coffee break! I’m an espresso addict and their doppio is one of the best in this area!

Awesome Tea selections, Deserts and great coffee. Urban vibe with beautiful view of downtown Detroit buildings. I hope they bring back the live music performance. Their Tea selection is from Eli tea bar in Birmingham.

Five stars rating for this coffee shop. All of the staff are always happy to serve you. Their coffees, foods, services were never failed to impress me. This place makes you feel cozy and homey. Probably the best coffee I have ever tried in my whole life. The decor is something interesting and is a perfect place for the Instagram picture. Highly recommended!

Robert is the best barista ever! He made the best pistachio latte. I showed up bright and early at 7am and he was more than happy to serve a good cup of coffee and have a friendly conversation. Super cool spot and definitely deserves a visit if you are a coffee lover !!

Bought some coffee and a piece of chocolate cheese cake from here on a date. Very nice place clean, nice staff. Bathrooms were clean and nice.

Love the atmosphere, the people, the coffee, and view from a windows front seat. Need to come back when I am hungry as their desserts and pastries looked amazing.

One of the best, smoothest lattes Ive ever had. Great atmosphere to work and the baristas are extremely friendly and down to earth. Highly recommend. Brought a co-worker here and she said the latte was as smooth as butter and its her new favorite spot! We have Starbucks at our building and this is well worth the walk!

The Versailles latte is delicious. Great vibe. They have all the best milk alternatives.

Definitely my go-to spot in Detroit as a local. Service is always exceptional, and the drinks are on POINT. I have yet to try one of their cheesecakes though...my willpower may not last much longer.

Oh my god, the cheesecake was incredible! We got the chai latte and caramel macchiato as well. Not too sweet, but just right. The temperature of the coffee was perfect too - very warm but we didn’t have to wait on it to cool down. The atmosphere in this place is great too … great place to study or meet with friends.

This place is amazing, me and my partner stopped in after walking around for a while. I had the big green and my fiance had a mocha over ice. I love the industrial theme going on an we will def be back. Thank you!

Stopped by this location this evening and was Horribly disappointed with the absolute most unprofessional service I encountered along with my daughter. Someone was obviously having a bad day and decided to take it out on us. My daughter went to enter after a couple as they walked in and the barista in all black with a black hat with bob length black hair, decides to start literally screaming to the top of her lungs that only 5 people were allowed at a time.I have NO problem with any safety measures being in place. I have a PROBLEM when the rules that you’re screaming aren’t visibly posted anywhere in plain sight, then other people begin walking in as my daughter is now being waited on and out of thin air the 5 person quota Disappears.I don’t care what was on her mind. I do care that the Whole world is experiencing the effects of COVID 19, especially customers who Choose to support businesses during this time. As a local and regular patron of Coffee houses across Metro Detroit. I must be clear when I state that Service is 💯paramount for ALL businesses to maintain. No one is exempt from their doors closing.To further add to my disgust the display cabinets were filthy, with gnats flying all over the dessert. Which oddly enough another customer inquired about purchasing a whole cheesecake, and wasn’t accommodated properly. I’ve never heard anyone give a no, the answer should have been although we don’t sell it whole. You’re welcome to purchase what we have in the case as individually priced as is or let me check with management.I guess my expectations are too grand being in the customer service industry for over 20 years. I’m only giving 2 Stars because I want to leave room for improvement. I won’t be returning to this location. I have NO problem taking my money where it’s wanted. If you love being treated with the respect you deserve as a customer, you may want to try one of the many other Coffee houses in town. Excellent coffee and kind service. The seating area is spacious with windows and natural light. I tried the Ethiopian and the Rwandan coffees. I loved the floral and smooth nature of the Ethiopian. The treats looked delicious, but I didnt try one. A true gem for coffee.

This is a fantastic coffee shop with great desserts! The place is relatively open with limited options for individual tables and focusing more on group and running wall bar seating.I actually got a Latte, a Mocha, and a Chocolate Croissant (technically a Pain au Chocolat). The coffees and pastry were great. The pastry was incredibly fluffy and the chocolate was creamy and delicious.The place also seemed to have a very LGBTQ friendly vibe and the background noise was perfectly balanced to not be intrusive.

I LOVE this little place! Came here for dessert on my birthday after Hop Cat dropped the ball. The guys that were working were so sweet and adorable! The cheese cake was amazing, the coffee was great! Can’t wait to stop back by! 🏳️‍🌈❤️

The coffee is off the charts but the environment leaves some wanting. You cant tell its going for an industrial - hipster vibe - but it needs more substance. What its missing in atmosphere it completely makes up for with the quality of the coffee. This place has some very cool mythology behind the extremely young expert roaster. Go in and talk to the workers to get the very inspiring backstory.

Pretty cool place for coffee and desserts. I like the ambiance. Ordered the cinnamon and honey latte. It was good, but I was expecting a bit more flavor. Also got the banana Nutella cheesecake which was also pretty good, but wish it was more fresh. It tasted as if it just came out of the fridge or something. Overall, a nice place for coffee.

Very cool place, they offer great coffee. The honey cinnamon latte is the best with cranberry orange muffins. Try it!

Internet is fast, chi black tea is pretty good, the cold brew is really strong and the vegan chocolate cookies was awesome and had a bit of a spice to it.. huge plus in my book. The music is a bit loud for my taste, Im sure someone will find this more attractive than I did. The crowd is pretty progressive , very friendly baristas. For the ones who care, the restrooms are not genderly divided therefore making them gender neutral. The carrot cake is awesome and also vegan.

Today was my second time inside the Detroit location. I had the Maple pecan cheesecake and a caramel latte that Drew made. Drew was awesome by the way. Great dessert, excellent service. I’ll definitely be back. The location in Royal Oak is amazing as well. Try the Baileys Cheesecake it’s my favorite. !!!

Great vibe, fantastic espresso and even nicer people. Just started coming here but have worked as barista for years in the past. I know good espresso and let me tell you this is the spot. Will be coming here for a long time and they’re super funny and charismatic. Also! Almost forgot... get the peanut butter chocolate cake. I bought two slices for my girlfriend with no intention of eating it as my sweet tooth hasn’t been so sweet as of late. This changed that around. Will recommend their customer service any day. Really appreciated the conversation and was a pleasure to do business with.

This is my go-to cafe for study after I moved to Detroit! It’s very spacy and they have great tea too. The only complaint would be the lighting and outlets,,, it’d be nice if the space get more lights and has more outlets available. However, it’s just because I wanted to study with my laptop and notebooks open. If you’d stop by for just coffee or reading a book, it’s very good. Love the view from the window too. ☆☆☆☆

Its decent I would say I prefer the other location a bit more because this location does not have many dessert options... This one just doesnt seem very lively... The customer service is really great though!

Cool coffee joint. During the pandemic we grabbed our coffee and sat outside. The breeze was awesome. The desserts were even really good. Super accommodating to tweak the coffee the way you want it. Definitely a downtown gem.

Really a very cool place to hang out at if situation was normal. However, you can still enter the café if you wanna order a drink and take it out with you as you walk down the streets. They do have restrooms open for public and do not allow dine in when I had visited a few days back.

While here I had a Rwandan coffee that was the juiciest coffee Ive ever had. Incredibly good stuff, hope to have it again as soon as possible. They host an open mic on Tuesdays but the place is big enough that you can either watch or avoid it if needed. Really excellent place. Also theyve got a funny bird spatula painting, so thats points too.

Dessert Oasis is a cozy gem nestled in Capitol Park. Heavenly coffee, tasty treats, excellent music playlists, and professional staff. You have to stop in. Whether youre editing that video or meeting a colleague, this is the best coffee shop.

Amazing coffee and staff

I have been to Dessert Oasis a couple times since moving to Detroit. The location is large and each time, there were plenty of seats (despite plenty of people being inside). Both times I ordered a large latte (my go to drink) and it was tasty. What I like most is that it is served at a drinkable temperature rather than boiling hot, so you can consume it immediately. I will definitely be back for more.
