Ice cream was good but way overpriced compared to other ice cream shops in Denver.

It keeps getting better. Amazing flavors at our last visit, including Hatch green chile and sweet corn. Combine them and its a spicy dessert tamale in a cone!

Tried the salted butterscotch and it was amazing. My wife really liked the chocolate. All in all seems like a great place to quell a sweet tooth! The people behind the counter are also very nice and willing to help!

Random ran into this place coming back from agave taco bars. Great ice cream so creamy and smooth. My kid gives it two thumbs up. The lady working was so sweet and took time to let the kid try out new ice cream flavors. Would recommend you to swing by and check them out.

Ice is always consistent in quality and variety. Staff is always helpful. Often a line, but what would expect from a good establishment it is expected.The only negative is the overall cleanliness of the store, it isnt terrible but it could use a little more attention. The waffle cones are also great, and if you can get one fresh off the grill, the mix of warm waffle cone and cold ice cream is almost magical.

By far the best vegan ice cream I have ever found! Even my dairy-loving husband could not tell the difference, the vegan ice cream is that thick and creamy. After getting our initial cones, we had to turn back to buy ourselves a pint! No vegan or dairy free ice cream has come close to what we have found at Sweet Action. I also love that some select Whole Foods stores stock their pints! Looking forward to trying all their other flavors and returning very soon!!

While in Denver we ended up stopping by this place and the Colorado White Russian and frosted animal cookie were so good! It was a fun find. I appreciate their creative flavors.

Do NOT be fooled by what shows on Denver sweet action website. Total fraud. Website shows all sorts of unique delicious sounding flavors. Walked 8 blocks to have something unique but guess what. There were 10 barrels of ice cream, very generic flavors nothing unique at all. When I asked the young man behind the counter where all the flavors were that show on the website he just shrugged his shoulders and said this is all we have. He said the website hasn’t been updated in a while. What a disappointment. I do not understand why people rave about this place. Absolutely nothing special.

My family used to love visiting sweet action. We hadn’t been there in a while and decided to visit. The ice cream was delicious but unfortunately the staff were not friendly at all. This was disappointing because they had multiple signs talking about how they paid their employees fairly and did not expect customers to tip. You’d think the people working there would love their job but that did not seem to be the case. Maybe they were just having a rough day but either way it was not a good experience :(

Heres something cool to think about on this freezing evening in November. Sweet Action Ice Cream is one of our favorites in Denver for over 9 years! Conveniently close to where we live, this ice cream parlor is located in the heart of Broadway. Theres even a rainbow-colored crosswalk welcoming you across the street to this heavenly place!The flavors are ever-changing and quite inventive! Last week I tried the sweet and spicy mascarpone chile blackberry. Of course they always offer more conventional flavors too. Bob recently tried their chocolate compost which comprised of chocolate ice cream with leftover cake and candies. They also carry quite a variety of vegan flavors.They use all natural Colorado based products. All of their packaging and containers are either compostable or recyclable. They even have gender-neutral restrooms! In the summertime the garage door awning opens up to passersby on a hot day!I usually just go for a scoop or two in a cup, while others love their homemade waffle cones. Bob gets a little crazy and orders hot fudge sundaes, banana splits, or decadent milkshakes! Dont forget to take a pint or two home as well!

So my daughters and I were out just cruising around deciding to try different things. I decided to try ice cream this week. So one daughter went with the MANGO CHIMANGO and the other went woth the Madagascar Vanilla beans....both of them rookies..I the seasoned tester went with the salted butterscotch.The salted butterscotch was an Awe to have. When This was combined with a waffle cone and whip cream it created the perfect balance. I allowed them both to taste mine and each others and they agreed my choice of salted butterscotch was dead on. Get out try things....thanks Sweet action.

Upbeat ice cream joint with a good amount of vegan flavors! The staff all seem like theyre having fun while theyre working and talk to you about all of the flavors you sample. Their flavors are standard and also original, so you can satisfy your picky kid and your gourmet-flavor-seeking friend in one place.Only random small thing to note - the waffle cones are fantastic, until you get down to the very bottom and its pretty solid like a hard rock. Other than that, you get a good amount for what you pay for!

Pretty disappointing really. Nothing spectacular about their flavors, the environment or the staff. In fact the only thing that was actually above average or poor was the waffle cone that apparently are not made there.. I dont recommend it.

It’s the COVID-19 area so things aren’t exclusive but they still get a five start. Customer service on point. Establishment spotless. The flavors were great. I got to try something I’ve never had before and now I’m addicted. It was goat cheese and marmalade. 🔥🔥 if you need something and don’t know what it is it’s definitely ice cream from sweet action.

Great ice cream with some unique flavors. There can be a bit of a line, but it is worth the wait. My favorite flavors include: coffee, Rocky Mountain Road, biscuits and jam, and dark chocolate with pomegranate. Another bonus is that Sweet Action is open late.

Where do I start?! First off, Helen was wonderful and took the time to explain each flavor and offer suggestions. I chose the Stranahans whiskey brickle, mint chip and peanut butter fudge swirl. 😋 The mint chip was my favorite - a very light natural mint flavor - not like the usual grocery store brand artificial mint. The Stranahans was a close second! The service and ice cream both earn an A+ ! I will definitely be back!

Great Ice Cream! Creative flavors and would go back just to try them. The other side is there are no kids scoops. And if you are an adult and ask for a smaller portion they will charge you full price. Want two small scoops its a full price double scoop price. Policies sometimes stray too far from being reasonable and since this isnt the first time, I probably wont be back.

Im really bad at ordering for myself and/or making decisions but when I went to Sweet Actions with my homies for 4/20 I had a great experience. I wish I had gotten the employees name but they were very nice and helpful. Eating out is always a risky experience for me because Im autistic but I felt no pressure, the lovely employee was very patient and nice, and the ice cream was also awesome! I got lemon poppyseed, mango chimoy(?), olive oil (actually my favorite, idk why it hits different), and strawberry chamomile. They were all insanely good and we all had a great time!ALSO THE EMPLOYEES HAVE BENEFITS THERE??????? Sick. Amazing. Wholesome. Great Vibe.

Wow! Just wow. I think we found the best ice cream in town. I could not believe it. I mean there’s good ice cream all over the place and then there’s Sweet Action. I’ll go ahead and say it — best ice cream in Denver, there it is. I got the coffee flavor and the girlfriend got the sweet corn. Both just outstanding. Not a very big variety of vegan flavors, the one flavor that was the option was not a good choice of ice cream at all. Because their was only one fresh vegan option I also tried a vegan ice cream sandwich, which was not a good choice. The cookie was not Edible, it was hard as a rock.

Quite expensive, nearly $8 a double scoop, for plain to decent ice cream. If you’re looking for a vegan option save yourself the time and money and grab a Ben and Jerry’s PINT for half the cost of a double scoop.

Good ice cream, nothing special. Different flavors such as black pepper, honey cornbread, and peppermint patty. One of their freezers was down, so they didnt have a lot to choose from.

Great spot, great open space and over 20 flavors at any given time. Some of the ones to try: stranahans (local gold medal distillery) whiskey brickle, Colorado peach, toasted walnuts brownie, and if you have that vegan friend there are more then 2 options available.

The girl with Red hair and Glasses was really helpful and described the flavors perfectly. I got the Whiskey Brickle and it was amazing. Definitely gonna be back.

My wife, friends, and myself were visiting CO for some skiing. On our way out we wanted to grab some ice cream and stumbled across Sweet Action. It did not disappoint. There are many unique flavors to choose from, as well as some classics. I tried tiger swirl and peanut butter brownie. Both very good! There is a cheap public parking lot behind the shop if you cant find parking on the street. The shop is located in a hipster part of town with a lot of other shops and restaurants nearby.
