Customer service was great. Easy to get my order in. Cake was ready on time and I was able to pick it up early. Cake was similar to what I asked for, but the color was slightly off. They did a great job on the gold paint around the top. I had a golden snitch on the top for a Harry Potter theme, but the wings kept falling off. All the other toppers besides the snitch were add ons by me (just to be clear). Also, one wing was textured and the other wasnt. I didnt care for the plain cake board under the cake and wish is was decorated a little. Cake was moist and cookies and cream filling was delicious. The cream cheese butter cream frosting did not have much flavor at all. Over all a good cake, but not excellent. Would give them a try again though.

I love bringing my kids here after school for a cupcake. We order their cakes for special celebrations and birthdays as well! There red velvet cake is to die for! I hate to give them four stars, because we love them so much, especially the local neighborhood ambience, but the bitter truth is that the coffee isnt that great. However, honestly, that doesnt keep us away:)

Had lunch in this cozy neighborhood eatery. We had a quiche and a salad. They serve up deserts, including gourmet cookies, cake pops, and cakes. Our ginger cookie was delicious, chewy and tasty through and through. There are several dining options. You can eat indoors, eat outside under large shady trees, or by large roll up windows. It is very pleasant. We stopped by before school started and this place is crazy popular with kids. I give this place a definite thumbs up.

I’ve lived in the neighborhood for five years and honestly used to love Cake Crumbs. Over the past year, I’ve noticed they are either extremely under staffed or inefficient. I’ve waited over 10 minutes for a latte multiple times and when I just ordered a sandwich to go, it took 20 minutes. I used to love the chicken salad and now it lacks flavor. The service is absolutely not in line with the price. I’m not sure what changed. Hope they can work on their productivity issues before it’s too late.

This is a wonderful coffee shop but the food and baked goods set it apart from others in the area. Lovely location, good service, and delicious treats. Our whole family gets cake crumbs birthday cakes. Not cheap but worth it for a special occasion.

I would not dispute that Cake Crumbs has some tasty pastries. Their scones in particular are very good though they seem to sell out quickly each morning. I believe that they intentionally do not make enough each day forcing customers to come in early if they want to buy them. Their biscuit and jam used to be a favorite of ours but the last 2 biscuits we ordered were as small as McDonalds. They evidently have decided to make them smaller but still charge the same price. Consequently, we no longer buy them. Overall, their increased prices had tilted Cake Crumbs into the unreasonable category.Cake Crumbs is not a pleasant environment in which to dine at. Unless one is fortunate enough to have one of the very young newly hired cashiers, but get stuck with one of the arrogant older women who have worked there for a bit, it becomes a drag even when just ordering. An uninspired, Next, is a familiar refrain. This attitude is adopted by the owner who is also quite arrogant and, the kitchen manager who is quite honestly a jerk. He reminds me of the Soup Kitchen guy on Seinfeld. We have been going there for many years but they have never made any attempt to acknowledge our support. They will never be a to go place like Snooze. But they do have the location thing going for them. There is nothing around the neighborhood to offer competition. Too bad for us all.

Wanted to send my son a birthday treat and I live in Iowa and he is in Denver. I messaged Cake Crumbs first and had a quick response, and then called with my order, big birthday chocolate chip cookie that said Happy Birthday and 6 carrot cake muffins. Ordered a birthday cake. Top ratings for presentation and customer service. Placed the order online, got a call back right away. Cake was ready on time, people at the store were super nice. Cake looked beautiful! The only reason I havent given 5 stars is because the cake was slightly dry, but thats me being picky!!

Cake Crumbs has very good pastries and ice-cream, however I have noticed the sizing of certain pastries get smaller but still remain the same price. At first I thought it was a simple mistake but after multiple visits the pastries remained the same smaller size.Also, some staff is very rude. They do not seem to care about their costumers at all. Not to mention my daughter is a McAuliffe student and they have recently placed rule where only 4 students are allowed in the building at a time and all others have to wait outside while non-Mcaullife students are allowed to go in front of kids that have been there for 10+ minutes. This rule was frustrating for my daughter but now it worries me too because my daughter is sitting in under 50 degree weather up to 30 minutes for a cupcake and since they aren’t allowed to sit inside now either she has to eat outside as well and if they even raise their voices once a VERY rude lady orders them to “go home”. This very unfair and disrespectful no matter what size or age, they are your costumers too!! I want my daughter to spend time with her friends but I am getting worried about her catching a cold while trying to enjoy a sweet treat after a long day of school.

It was a relaxing place: nice big open wall to the outside and ample seating. The crowd is all ages but high in older/retired crowd. The service was good but they probably were short-staffed when we came. The drinks and food were good.

Bought a cake for my mothers there the cake was fabulous only problem there was not enough lemon curd in the cake considering they did their very best lemon cakes should have more lemon curd and not just a swipe of curd overall the people are very friendly free tentative to your needs and yes I will be purchasing more cakes from this place !Needs to be a little bit more diverse I didnt see no diversity in there at all but the baker and the manager thank you for the cake and thank you for taking the time to understand my complaint my mother loved the cake thats all that mattered to me keep up the good work!

I was good friends with the original owners and this spot is a staple of my adolescence.When Cake Crumbs changed ownership to the current owner, the quality and prices were negatively affected, however the service is always top-tier and the cakes rarely disappoint.Good spot!

Really fantastic bakery! We got a cake here for our 2 year olds birthday party. It looked amazing and it tasted great. Almost all the other little kids parents asked us where we got it. We couldnt have been happier. Our little guy is really into trains right now and they made us this great customized cake. We will definitely be going back here for all our bakery needs for celebrations. When I went to pick up the cake it was really nice on the inside and had a fun atmosphere. The staff was very friendly. Lol I think they could tell I was a little nervous about getting their master piece to my kids party in one piece so they even helped me out to the car. Really positive experience with Cake Crumbs

Got my birthday cake from here! It was a delicious cake, chocolate cake with mocha frosting, such a great combination!! Also got some red velvet cupcakes because they’re my family’s favorite, great ratings on those as well! The service was great and made it easy to order. I gave them creative freedom for decorations and it was very beautiful with chocolate and vanilla stripes, piping, and pearls! The cake lasted for about a week in the fridge too!

Ordered a custom cake from here for a going away party and it was so great! The detail and design was amazing. We got a funfetti cake with maple buttercream and it tasted like eating a pancake. So delicious and moist, I will definitely order a cake from here in the future

For anything custom this is the place to go! My family regularly gets a dozen cupcakes for birthdays from here regardless of any other food for the celebration. Recently came in with my own coffee cup and got a great cup of black coffee and my son got a cake pop; which he love.

Came for breakfast Sunday morning. Crowd is mostly old folk. Food is good and pastries are more expensive then other equally good bakeries. Lovely cupcakes , macaroons were different then what Ive had before - not very soft or delicate, cupcakes are wonderful and they have a wide selection of seasonal treats even though most of it was gone to the morning rush. The inside is loud and outside is full of people and dogs.

I love this place. The staff is always in a good mood and very helpful. The food is delicious, I definitely recommend their red velvet cupcakes and cookie dough ice cream!

My Granddaughter was given a cake from here for her birthday on Sat June 26th. The cake was hard, and dry as a bone. It had so so much frosting in middle way more then the filling. I was very disappointed for the price that her Aunt paid. It was also way much smaller then the actual size I wanted.

I arrived just before 10 AM on Saturday to an already buzzing establishment. The cafe is tastefully decorated with a 50s style diner motif. The pastry cases were showing beautiful cakes and other sweet treats. Only one regular cinnamon roll was left. So, if you are considering visiting you might want to try and arrive a bit earlier. The service was polite and swift, exactly what you need in a busy breakfast establishment.The cinnamon roll itself was great! If you aren’t a huge fan of sweets beware this is tipping the scales for a sure fire sugar high.Overall, I’m excited to return and try their other breakfast offerings. The drink options are as extensive as any you’d find at Starbucks. I definitely recommend trying out a dish or two whether you are only visiting Denver or call the city home.

Had a great kale parmesan quiche at lunch and my daughter loved the Mac and cheese. Everything looked good on the menu, we brought some pastries home and hope to go back again!

As a baker, I am picky about quality, and should absolutely KNOW to plan ahead when I need a cake. As a stubborn and busy person, occasions always creep up and I forget til the last minute... So, I love the quality at this bakery for all the times I dont want to bake our own cakes. They are worth the further drive for me and Im grateful they consistently seem to have key flavors and cute but simple designs. The chocolate here is delish, and I will update on the lemon later today. :)

Needed a birthday cake in a hurry! Cake Crumbs is the only place i could find in Denver that had cakes available without notice! I got the Red Velvet with Buttercream frosting (6+ servings) and man was it AMAZING! 4 layered, moist and that frosting is the melt in your mouth creamy frosting you can’t get enough of! They took my order over the phone for pick up within an hour. Decorated it with my birthday message for my son and saved my life as i’d forgotten to order a cake monday. I also got an assortment of their cookies and they too were to die for! they are open for pick up and have social distancing markers on the floor and have the doors open for fresh air ! i didn’t get a chance to look at their other products but it’s a quaint place with outdoor seating and is popular in the neighborhood. of front parking! beautiful shade trees so you can sit outside and visit with friends, etc! thank you Cake Crumbs! You’re my new bakery!

Terrible....I went in to pick up an envelope...it was a car title... that woman bought from me....she left the item... paperworks....with the cashier....I came to pick it up.....they had the Denver police waiting for me...I was treat like a drug dealer....and harrassed...By the police and the bakery....for picking up documents....LIBERAL UNITE !AFTER 10 min. Total....they found nothing wrong and let me go.No...I wouldnt use this Liberal infested bakery.Wow ! Lemon bars are good as long as you like handcuffs.

Found this location because a friend leaving our office is gluten free and I was able to find Cake Crumbs Bakery & Cafe who offers gluten free cakes. I wasnt able to get a gluten free cake because those are only available upon request in advance but I they had gluten free cupcakes available and they were delicious! At $4 each they were perfect for the occasion. So glad I found this bakery and plan to visit again. Thanks Cake Crumbs!

Whats not to love! Best chocolate croissants Ive ever had. Everything here is good so just get a little of it all. Take out is easy you just grab it by the table by the door. I miss dining in but maybe that will be back this Summer!

Friends got me a custom cake earlier in the year that was fabulous. Ordered customs cupcakes recently myself and looked nothing like the picture I provided. They offered me a discount on the cupcakes but it was not worth it for how badly they turned out. I had committed to bringing cake so at that point I had to purchase a full priced premade cake instead. No discount offered for their miss. Really wanted to love this place because of the amazing custom cake from my friends but the design and service was a huge miss during my recent visit.

Terrible experience. The cashier was impatient. I’d never been here before so must have need taking too long to order. I ended up ordering a slice of banana walnut bread and it was super dry, also ordered a waffle (it was burnt) with strawberries and bananas, good amount of strawberries but barely any bananas all this for $15. I ordered it to go. I should have checked it out before I left.

This place is awesome. We originally wanted frosted cookies custom in space themed but when we told them how many and when we needed them by they couldn’t help us out. BUT they recommended several local bakeries to try with the volume and quick turn around (super classy move). We ended up on going with a cake because they just needed 72 hours notice. We ordered a custom cake for our son’s 1st birthday party with about three days notice. We were very general with what we asked for (rocket/space/green) and they really did an awesome job for a really good price. They also threw in a smash cake which he got down on. We got a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and his smash cake was chocolate with vanilla buttercream. Super moist and perfectly baked. Support this local neighborhood business!

Cake Crumbs did an incredible job on my 30th birthday cake! The combination of lavender buttercream, vanilla cake and raspberry preserves was amazing, and the design looked almost too good to eat! It was everything I hoped for, and delicious as well. Thank you!

I ordered a birthday cake for my brother this week and it was amazing!! It was absolutely delicious and beautifully done! Also everyone that was working was incredibly kind and helpful. I’ve lived in this neighborhood for a year and had not tried this place until now, I’ll definitely be back to try everything else! Popped into this place because ironically it was the only place open early enough (7:30am) that I could find on google that had cakes already made (no pre-order necessary). WOW! What a gem! Beautiful pastries, the girl that took care of me was fantastic at her job. Offered me options, to write something on the cake, explained how to keep in looking good, bubbly personality, and the cake was AMAZINGGGGG. We had the chocolate/choclate and wow, moist, dense but not too dense, sweet but not too sweet, very chocolatey. The customer behind me noticed it was my first time there and she was raving about this place as well. I left in about 10 mins with a cake with a message on it at 7:30am.... Give it a try!

I only got the chance to eat a scone and a quiche, but between the two of those I feel like Cake Crumbs does a top notch job on baked goods. I definitely would recommend and will be coming back again in the future.

Ordered a carrot cake for my birthday. Nothing fancy, just their 6 inch cake in a pinch carrot cake. I was very happy with the customer service and the loving advice on how to serve the cake.The cake itself surpassed my expectations. The carrot cake was moist with plenty of carrocter and just the right amount of spice. The cream cheese frosting was rich. I and my guests were very happy with my birthday cake. I would recommend Cake Crumbs Bakery & Cafe to a friend.

Excellent cupcakes! Yummy breakfast/lunch options too, but the cupcakes are a go-to for birthdays and other events. They are super friendly and helpful and will always do their best to accommodate cake/cupcake decoration requests.

Tried this place for the first time when my wife went to yoga next door. It was a great family friendly place with a good patio and spacious indoor area. The chocolate croissant I had was delicious and coffee was great! Definitely a good spot to enjoy pastries and coffee. If you want to study, dont expect any quiet, especially Saturday morning.

Great local coffee shop, bakery, and restaurant. Our familys go-to for everything from a cup of coffee to gorgeous and delicious cakes. Also, family in NJ ordered us treats to be delivered for a birthday--and their service and presentation was beautiful. We feel lucky to have them in our neighborhood.

I love this bakery!! We have been getting our cakes here for 10 years and always amazing. I had a friends cake made for his 40th birthday and the decoration was outstanding. They outdid themselves. Short lines and frozen cookie dough is to die for!

I forgot to pre-order a cake for my significant others birthday and frantically went searching online for a bakery with online ordering and ready made cakes. Cake Crumbs popped up with an easy to use website along with an option to add a message on top of the cake. They called almost right after I submitted the order to let me know it would be awhile before more chocolate buttercream would be available, which wasnt a big dealieo. The cake was really moist, but almost too much frosting made it was super rich. But overall the cake was delicious. Im curious to try their other flavors and baked goodies. I highly recommend this bakery if youre in a pinch like I was, needing a high quality cake with custom frosting asap, but not wanting the usual grocery store cake.

I love this place. Its a great stop for coffee and a snack or for a full meal. I love their sandwiches for a quick lunch. Of course, the pastries are delicious. If youre doing a brunch on the weekend, it can be crowded, so keep that in mind if youre in a rush. Its definitely a favorite.

They have a lot of homemade pastries, food and cakes. Went there on a Saturday late morning and the place was alive with a number of families with young children enjoying a meal or pastry there. Its a nice place that is enjoyed by many people in their community.

The coffee is always good. Baked goods are hit or miss. I love the red velvet cake, but some of the other cakes I’ve tried (the vanilla based ones) are way too sugary. I haven’t been wowed by the lunch items either. I wondered why there was no line at the counter when I went for lunch at 12:15 pm on a Thursday and I think it may be due to the fact that they need to work on their menu a bit. I ordered the lunch special Avocado Toast and was disappointed because it came with a very tiny smear of avocado. What kind of avocado toast doesn’t have a hefty serving of avocado? My daughter’s PB&J also had very little jelly on it. The food would have been otherwise delicious, but skimping on key ingredients kind of ruins it. I love coming to this place, just hope they can work on their consistency and fix a few menu losers.

Went in for a red velvet cake since the reviews said it was amazing sadly i wouldnt know i ended up with a carrot cake. Very upset about the mix up especially since the birthday boy is allergic to nuts n couldnt eat his own birthday cake.

I called this morning in a rush. We have a conference with many people from out of state and just found out one of the people here has a birthday today. I called and was immediately greeted by a happy voice. They were able to get me 60 mini cupcakes quickly. I am very excited for everyone to taste them. Liked the selection of food and the vibes. The place is obviously a neighborhood favorite, and reminds me of the little lunch cafes around where I grew up. Nostalgia factor is strong here. The food was decent, and the bakery was tasty.The only thing I didnt care for is that the choice of young people behind the counter was maybe a misjudgment. I did not receive friendly or courteous service the two times Ive been here, and I was brushed past for the regulars. I purposefully try out new places during slower times/on slower days, as to not have a first impression when the staff is short and busy, but each time, I was met with staff that was short and disinterested with me. It was odd, seeing the friendly tone of the patrons and neighbors around me. I had hoped to make this a regular haunt, but maybe I need to keep searching.

Food and drink is great, service is exceptional. I find it to be a little on the pricey side, but you pay for what you get :)

We ordered a cake for my daughters first birthday and when we arrived, the order was for the following weekend. I may have messed up or they had the date wrong but regardless they handled it so amazingly well. They said we will take care of this and got us a cake and even it delivered it on time for the party. We are so grateful for their amazing bakers and exceptional customer service. The cake was delicious too!

If your looking for a specialty cake I would not recommend this place. Their pastries are delicious but definitely not their cakes. I ordered a birthday cake for my daughters birthday from here and they assured me they were able to replicate what I wanted. They charged me $150 for a two tier cake which was completely dry and not to mention looked NOTHING like what I asked for. Complete disappointment and waste of money. As I stated before I ordered this cake for a birthday and picked it up the day before so unfortunately it was too late to rearrange things. They also put it in an extremely small box which is really strange and also made it difficult to travel to the birthday venue with.Response to owner - yes I was provided HALF of my refund. However, customers should be aware of these things before spending a great amount for a cake and the only way to inform others is through this review. I did not have a choice to be “satisfied” with this resolution because the event was the next morning and would have not been able to take it back to your bakery in time to be fixed or changed.My experience nor my opinions have not changed because of a partial refund.

We get cakes from here for office celebrations and theyre incredible! Not just beautiful but oh so tasty. I always volunteer to pick them up so I can get a biscuits and gravy!!! SOOOOO YUMMY!

Nice design for cakes and the place are good

This place is super cute and great little place for families or kids to visit. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We bought a cake and it was tasty, not the best Ive had but it was good nonetheless. Its more dense than what folks are probably used to. We had the lemon cake with lemon custard filling. They do have great coffee offerings, when I went, they had a vanilla lavender latte, which was good. They have a nice patio area and seems to have plenty of space.

Possibly the best cupcakes I have had in my life. Fluffernutter cupcake is so delicious, definitely recommend it. The carrot cake and red velvet cupcakes are so good too. Really I dont think you can go wrong. I tried their chocolate chip cookie and that wasnt bad either, but I think the cupcakes have my heart. I havent tried any of their regular menu food so I will have to go back and do that.
