I love ice cream. I’ve tried almost every shop in the Denver area and Whirlybird’s Salted Golden Oreo is hands down one of my favorites. Staff is always friendly and great portion sizes for the price. I try to stop in as much as I can. Great shop and ice cream!

The cutest, tiny little neighborhood ice cream shop! I’ve been here a few times now and have never been disappointed. The blackberry pound cake is hands-down my favorite flavor, though they rotate daily specials. Order half-scoops of 2 different flavors and just be charged for 1 scoop, or go all in on the blackberry!

Delicious ice cream, including gluten and vegan options, in an adorable shop. I recently stopped by for their vegan chocolate hazelnut with a gluten free sugar cone and it was SO GOOD.

The whirlybird waffle ice cream sundae is definitely the way to go! Such a yummy combination of flavors and warmth of waffle makes this a go-to ice cream joint!

I came here to try the vegan flavors (I wasn’t feeling sweet cow’s vegan flavors this evening) and my husband wanted to see what all this waffle business was about. Definitely 💯 on both fronts! I had the vegan brownie batter - it tasted exactly like the bowls of brownie batter I used to inhale with my sisters while sitting on the kitchen floor when we were young (pro tip: if you also enjoy eating brownie batter en masse, make two batches of brownies. This way, you can eat as much batter as you’d like and still have enough leftover to bake 😂). Anyway, this spot is legit and we are so happy to have found it!! Oh also, for anyone who needs to know - the vegan flavor I had was made with a coconut-soy base 👍🏻

Had my first waffle from here today and it was amazing. My only complaint is that I can’t get these waffles earlier in the day like for breakfast. Ice cream flavors are always unique and delicious (waaaaayyy better than that touristy ice cream place near by - you know the one).If ya don’t like ice cream get the waffles. Seriously.

Absolutely love this place. We stop by every time were in town. Fast friendly service, the ice cream is always amazing but the waffle.... like nothing Ive had before.

Flavors werent by any means amazing or of a large variety. Just a few odd balls and the staples. I sampled the chocolate expresso and the espresso left me chewing on espresso grounds. I chose the have the mango raspberry sorbet which was nicely flavored.

Whirlybird is a super cute ice cream and waffle shop with unique flavors that change daily. The waffle is absolutely superb and is served hot with any ice cream or sauce or topping of your choice. I appreciate that they have pup cups too, great addition to Jeff Park!!

I love this place. A little neighborhood ice cream shop that also serves yummy Belgian liege waffles. These are yummy snack sized crispy and sweet waffles that are absolutely delish. They are good enough plain, but you also have the option to add a scoop of ice cream or sauces. The ice cream is top notch. All homemade and the flavors change daily. They usually have a couple of vegan options if that is your flavor. Id post pictures but I always end up eating them right away, haha 10/10

Probably the best waffle and vegan chocolate chip ice cream Ive ever had. 1 star off for service.. I walked in having never been before. I knew they were known for waffle and ice cream. I ordered a waffle and scoop of ice cream - $7.50.. While they are preparing it i look at the board and see that there is a waffle+ice cream combo for $7.50 that comes with a topping and sauce. I asked the person behind counter if i can add cookie butter sauce and i was told no and that i would have to pay extra.. This is after already paying them $25 for an order... Was damn good though so i will likely be back anyways.

Whirlybird opened last week, much to our delight. We live in the area and pass by it everyday. We had been counting down to its opening for months... let me tell ya, IT LIVED UP TO THE HYPE!! The owner is very friendly and the ice cream we had (birthday cake, vanilla, and cookie dough) was delicious. We got on an ice cream kick during “safer at home” and have tried 4 places in Denver recently. This is BY FAR the best tasting ice cream in the city and actually even less money than others. Very excited to keep supporting this little gem of a small business! Definitely try them out!

Delicious! Chocolate marshmallow ice cream is my personal favorite, and if you wanna go big- the waffles are bomb.

Hands down the best ice cream in Denver. Such creative flavors and can accommodate so many diet restrictions! I’m gluten free and vegan and still had options! The staff is incredibly friendly as well. 10 out of 10 recommend!

REAL BELGIAN WAFFLES.This is so exciting. Theyre good waffles served hot with delicious ice cream. Ive always wanted to have belgian waffles and here they are. Gives a good boost over a normal ice cream place. 10/10 would recommend.

Great experience, despite COVID-19 restrictions. Only allowing 4 customers in the store at a given time. The ice cream is delicious, only bettered by the amazing Liege Waffles, which have a subtle glaze on top giving them a sweetness that will make anyone return to Whirlybird for more!

The liege waffles are amazing!! It’s a new spin on the typical ice cream sandwich or a standard cone. I like that the ice cream is not overly sweet, too! Great new place- will definitely be frequenting here!

The sundae is a full meal. The ice cream is excellent and the waffles are soo good. Surprisingly cheap for the quality and the staff are super nice.

The waffles at this place are off the CHAIN. The ice cream is great, fun flavors that are different every time... but these little waffles that come under the ice cream are the pièce de résistance. Crispy exterior, warm soft center, absolute game changer when added to ice cream. Wish they were open earlier so I could eat them for breakfast😩
