Once I arrived she did it as I wanted and then recommended what would be best for my type of dress. I trusted her, the results were amazing and just what I needed! She is very sweet, responds to you in a timely manner, she is organized and will take care of your clothes very carefully. Moira is a lifesaver!!! I made a mistake and had to have a last-minute alteration done on my wedding dress. She was the only local tailor to respond to my email, and she responded the day of. When I called, she answered and scheduled me for that same day. She then worked hard to get my dress tailored just in time for my wedding. And she totally saved the day because I was able to dance in my dress, which would not have been possible previously. She charged me so reasonably considering that it was a rush order. Plus, Moira was so kind and friendly! I will absolutely return to her for any tailoring needs and recommend her to all of my friends. She is exceptional, and I couldnt be happier with her work.

I went to M.G Tailoring to have a dress altered for my daughters wedding. The dress needed to be altered and I was not sure it could be fixed based on how it fit. Everything was out of proportion. Moira spent time pinning and re-designing the dress so she could alter the dress to fit properly. Moira worked miracles. She is so talented and her skills are unbelievable. Not only did she do a fabulous job she made me so happy. Her customer service is 5 star.

I cant even begin to sing enough praise for Moira and her work! I had taken my wedding dress to another tailor in town back in April. I wasnt happy with how it turned out but the previous tailor kept telling me Id just need to steam it. She was closing her shop so I needed to pick it up. I knew deep down something was wrong with the dress because it didnt lay right on my body after that alteration. I knew I needed to find another tailor to look at this dress and to do the final fitting. I called Moira based off her amazing online reviews. She was quick to help and upon first look, she pointed out EVERY issue I had questioned the first tailor on. She ended up having to undo and redo EVERYTHING the previous tailor had done. The dress fits absolutely perfect now and all thanks to Moira! She was so incredible to work with and took on a project on short notice. I will be forever grateful for her work and kind spirit. I’ve been using this amazing European trained tailor for years. She is totally professional, honest and fair. I don’t think there is anything she can’t tailor from leather goods to wedding dresses. She even makes the cutest jackets for dogs. It’s worth the travel if you live away from her So Broadway location. Give her a try. Guarantee you’ll be going back for a long time.

Having been to two other alteration locations for large projects, I can say without any doubt that Moira is very talented. At the other locations, I had to either wait a week or two, beyond the estimate date of completion, for the suit to come back; or would have to request multiple adjustments because the taper wasnt right. It is rare to find someone who gets it right the first time parallel to completing the job in a timely manner. I would like to think she got lucky on the first suit but I doubt it because the job was an alteration of an entire oversized suit, top to bottom. She truly is gifted with her passion and it shows. In addition, you can expect professional and thorough care in a relaxing clean environment - she makes it a point to fully understand what you want before proceeding. Despite her vast experience, she does not rush you or assume what you want, which seemingly affects everyone who gets good at what they do. Her fee schedule is very affordable and honestly, she should charge more for her beautiful work. Highly recommend her. Go and check out her new atelier, you wont regret it.

I was referred to Moira by my uncle Kenny! When I posted on Facebook that I was looking for someone to alter my wedding gown! I was a little scared at first with this being our first time working together but she is amazing! I brought her a massive gown with multiple layers! That needed to be hemmed up a lot! And bustled up and taken in a bit and straps adjusted! She got it done in a timely matter being so last minute for my wedding and it was done correctly the first fitting!
