This was my first tattoo and my artist was Michael Myers. He was extremely professional, kind, and talented in his work. He was listened to what I wanted and provided his own creative touch. He also worked very fast and seemed to genuinely enjoy working on it. The tattoo turned out incredible and exceeded my expectations. 10/10 would recommend to a friend and will definitely return for my next tattoo. Thanks Michael and Certified Tattoo Studios!

I initially reached out to Certified by making an appointment for a consultation on their website. They were a few minutes late calling on the day of the appointment, but they apologized and they’re still running a business between doing these consultations so no big deal. I don’t remember who I talked to on the phone, but he was very thorough getting the details of what I wanted my tattoo to look like. I paid my $300 deposit over the phone and paid the other $300 at the shop after my tattoo was finished. On the day of my appointment, the girl who checked me in at the desk was so nice. Ignacio was finishing up a tattoo when I came in but I didn’t have to wait for him long. Before he finished, his apprentice came over and went over the details of what I wanted again to make sure Nacho had what he needed to draw it out. When Nacho finished with his other tattoo he came over and introduced himself and immediately went to draw out my tattoo. He easily made the changes I wanted after he drew it and gave me some good advice about things that I could change. I appreciated it because I don’t have a very artistic eye and could only give vague details and pictures referencing what I wanted. Once we got started, you could tell he’d been doing this for a while. He was gentle (as gentle as a tattoo can be lol) and fast but the work is incredible. He also has a great personality and you can tell he loves his work. It’s been about a week and my tattoo is healing up nicely. It was never insanely sore or swollen even though it’s on my leg and I’ve had a ton of compliments on the work. I can’t wait to have my next tattoo done by him and my sister and husband are planning their next ones out too after they saw what an amazing job he did. I’ll definitely be back!!

I went to get a pretty simple tattoo with a couple friends and everything was very thoroughly clean, the people were all very helpful and kind, and the art is extremely satisfying.My artist was Sephira and she was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions (of which there were many) and designing some really great stuff off of some pretty basic information. I think she normally works at one of the Colfax locations but I went to Yale and was very pleased with the whole experience. It was my first tattoo so it was very helpful to have someone so courteous.Forgot to mention but she also helped me figure out exactly where to put it and we decided ankle would probably be best.Also, Im a music nerd and the playlist is very nice I was extremely happy to hear a lot of my favorite artists (maybe a small detail but it made everything a little better)

I recently got a tattoo from certified’s location on Yale, from T. The entire process was great. T is a wonderful artist who listened and combined all my wants into a beautiful piece. The check in process at the front desk with Justin was seamless. Everyone I interacted with was kind and friendly, and overall a wonderful experience. This was my first tattoo but Tanner was super chill and did a great job. I felt totally comfortable there and it turned out better than I had anticipated. I’ve gotten so many compliments on how good of a job Tanner did. It’s been a little over a week since I got it and it’s healing super well. Could not recommend Tanner and Certified Tattoo Studious more. Also Marissa helped get me and my friend settled at the front desk, was super nice to talk to and gave us the best recommendation on where to go for dinner after. I had a tattoo that was done 13 years ago and no artist wanted to work on it. I visited with Michael Myers and he was amazing! He is so detailed oriented, his work is beautiful. He kept making sure I was good and if I needed breaks. I cant say enough how impressed I am. I would definitely recommend him!

My son got a tattoo at the Yale location of Certified Tattoo Studios with Matt. At first our experience was good, Joey helped us get the appointment scheduled and was very professional and responsive through the scheduling process. On the day of the tattoo, we showed up 5 minutes early and walked past 2 guys smoking a cigar, into virtually an empty shop. One of the guys followed us in and checked us in, while the other guy stayed out front smoking a cigar. After checking us in, the guy said that Matt would be with us soon, then he went back out front and join the other guy still sitting out there smoking a cigar. We sat down and waited. About 35 minutes later both guys come back into the shop, and the guy that didnt check us in starts setting up his work station - hes a tattoo artist. Nobody says anything to us, and we sit waiting. About 10-15 minutes later, the artist says to, what seemed to be the room, but turned out to be my son, okay, lets get this stencil on you, and nothing else, then when he is done says, let it sit for 10 minutes. So my son sits back down for another 20 minutes while the artist goes in the back. Finally over an hour after the appointment was supposed to start, Matt comes back out and says okay, talks to some other people while he gets the seat set up for my son, then tells him to sit. The rest of the process was fine, guy didnt want to talk, which is fine, thats his prerogative. But the next day, looking at the tattoo we realized that Matt didnt finish the letters on the words of the tattoo, or the numbers that followed, so the tattoo wasnt finished. Fine, mistakes happen, but they need to be fixed too. So we reach out to Joey and sent pics explaining what happened, and he is responsive and says he sent the info and pic to that shop, Matt and the lead over there, and said he would get back to us that day or the next. That didnt happen. I even followed up the next afternoon, but no response. For my sons first tattoo, this was really disappointing and just unprofessional. Wish we could take back the $100 tip we gave on a $400 tattoo. My suggestion would be, find a different place.

I received a tattoo from Certified over a month ago and could not be more satisfied with my result and more thrilled for my next appointment with them. I came to Certified with a complex and absolutely unique design idea completely in my head and not drawn out. Matt Huerta heard me out on my insane idea and turned it into a reality. Matt is a down to earth dude who was patient in hearing out my design changes to get the piece just right. His ambitious final version of the design was pulled off to perfection by his pure talent. His work is now my favorite piece on my body.The entire staff made it a great experience, from the booking to the appointment itself. The staff kept me talking, smiling, and laughing during my entire 8 hour session. Genuine people who genuinely enjoy what they do.I am not including a picture, as I hope to keep people from copying our design and work.Big thank you to Matt and the whole staff. Looking forward to being under the needle again soon

I am getting my tattoo sleeve done at the Yale location with Nacho! I have never been so impressed by a tattoo studio in my life. I walked in and was greeted by Justin at the front desk who made me feel right at home. The entire staff was welcoming and truly made me feel like I had known them forever! Nacho’s work in general is so crisp and his line work is where he shines. He is such an amazing soul and such a talented tattoo artist. Overall Certified had such immaculate vibes and energy. Can’t wait to finish out my sleeve.🥳

Got my very first tattoo with Tanner. He is very professional and very easy to talk to. He gave great advices on the design and nailed what I wanted. He was very light handed and made sure I was fine all through out the appointment. I went back a month and a half after for a touch up and requested for some sparkles around and he did amazing as usual. Cant wait to go back for another piece and would 100% recommend him as an artist!

Holy smokes T. Henry is legit. I went in to get a couple of very fine line black tattoos done today and she did them absolutely perfectly. The small, simple ones are hardest to do because there’s absolutely no room for error, and she truly did them perfectly. The best place to get your tattoos in Denver!! The staff were super friendly and help from booking the appointment, to greeting me inside, to the actually work. Casper did an amazing job. This was my third tattoo and I had never been at this location before but my goodness was I beyond impressed. I got my tattoo down by my thigh and he was very understanding and offered to take breaks. Myself along with two of my friends all got our tattoos done and it honestly was not only badass how they came out but we got done in a fast amount of time. This tattoo meant a lot to me and the beauty of the snake and the detail of the scales was phenomenal. Highly recommend not only for the job but also for the great customer service. My cousin and I were on vacation and decided to spontaneously get tattoos. We walked in, and were set up for them later that day! West did a great job, taking every idea, opinion and adjustment. Got tattooed by nacho and he was fantastic. I was very nervous as it was my first tattoo, and he was calm, sweet, and patient. The tattoo looks amazing too, it’s a copy of a note my grandma wrote me. He was able to keep the integrity of the words and size exactly. Really happy with the entire experience!

Henry as shes listed on the website) at the Yale location was amazing and really worked with me to create what I was looking for for my first tattoo, taking the necessary time to make all the little changes and adjustments I asked for. She also checked in with me throughout to make sure I was doing alright and had no problem making conversation with me as I chatted her up throughout to distract myself. She and the shop were down to earth, professional, and friendly. Justin, the shop manager there that day, was incredibly sweet and accommodating. Just a wonderful first tattoo experience all around. Highly recommend.

I had a phenomenal experience with Gabriel Mondragon at the Denver location!! It was absolutely worth every penny. His line work is crisp, he was very gentle, and he went above and beyond on the idea I gave him. Several days in, and the healing process has been the easiest Ive experienced with a tattoo. I cannot wait to go throw more money at him for more art on my body!!

Tanner at the Yale location was awesome! We talked a little bit before my appointment and when I arrived he had created exactly what I wanted. Although it was small and took only a little bit of time he was very enjoyable to have a conversation with. Justin was behind the front desk and was very welcoming and helpful when filling out paperwork. Highly recommend to anyone in the area or coming from out of town that is looking to get some ink!

They took my money and ran. Avoid them. There are plenty of other good studios around. Theres no need to go to these scammers.I paid an up front $3,000 for a significant tattoo on my thigh. After two sessions, my artist bailed. They felt no need to let me know that until I drove almost an hour to the studio. Then they had the balls to tell me that they could have another one of their artists finish it for me, for the low price of another grand. Stupid me I agreed. Now I went there today and my artist was at a wedding. Again, no need to let me know that my artists bailed until Ive driven all the way down there.To top it all off this tattoo looks terrible. Ive used certified in the past and was happy with the results, but lately something has changed. Im not the only person with a story like this. Theyve decided stealing peoples money is a better idea than providing good tattoos.Avoid them at all costs.

I had my tattoo appointment with T. Henry. I am in love with the work she did and would highly recommend her! She took her time with my tattoos and made sure it was exactly how I wanted it. The tattoo studio was very clean and had great vibes and everyone was super kind and welcoming! Would definitely go here again for my next tattoo!

I went to the shop on Yale this evening to get a new piece of art from T Henry. She was so great, very friendly, and I had a great time chatting with everyone working; my clavicle bats look AMAZING, and having cool people in the shop to talk to really helps get your focus off the needles in your skin. And the woman at the counter, Marissa, was just as great as the artists. Shops like this rock, 100%!

I am from out of state and decided to spontaneously get a tattoo. I found Certified Tattoo on Google and the Yale location was the closest to where I was staying so I did a walk in. Though I had to wait an hour that was absolutely ok because it was a walk in. The front desk/ receptionists and the artists were all awesome, super friendly, and professional. Emma was my tattoo artist and she did an amazing clean job. Thank you Emma! They all made me feel very comfortable and so it didnt seem like I was from out of state. Ill definitely come back if Im back in this state and looking to get a tattoo again :)

Went for my first appointment and was all but excited for it. My appointment was at 2 and I wasnt seen till closer to 3. Not a big deal, but they had a problem with opening up the reference pictures. They never called to let me know until I got there. I expressed what I wanted and showed them what I wanted. I wish I never got it done to be honest. I paid in full over the phone and wish I didnt. I feel it cost more than it was worth. The artist said they had over 10yrs of experience and it just feels like no. I didnt initially say anything about it right then and there because I didnt want to cry. The total time for the tattoo was about 2 in half hours when they told me it would take longer. The price I paid was not 2 in a half hour tattoo. Over all the people were nice and easy to talk to, but I just wish I did my homework a bit more.

Amazing! I had Nacho do a linework tattoo on my inner upper arm. Everyone there was so friendly (they even bought me coffee, thank you again for that ❤) and it was overall the best tattoo experience I have ever had. Definitely my favorite tattoo Ive gotten so far too, it looks amazing! 100% recommend going here!

I went to see Casper and every time I see him he just does a phenomenal job. It’s so clean and even. The line work is always sharp. And each piece he has done on me is just beautiful. I get complaints all the time. And it makes me happy to have his work on me.

I reached out to Nacho with a last minute ask to get a tattoo in honor of my late dad before my wedding. He immediately got me in, went through several drafts, talked through a ton of different locations (and we tested each one!) and ultimately gave me the perfect and special tattoo. Cannot recommend him enough - he truly cares about his clients and is just incredibly talented!

This was a great experience. Thanks Casper and Mikey! I went this weekend to get a large piece on my upper arm. It was my first time booking ahead and not just getting a walk in tattoo somewhere. I am local and certified came highly recommended from friends and family.Calling and making the initial appointment was a breeze. I was quoted a price and put a deposit down over the phone and was able to schedule out the consultation and session.The day of the appointment I ran into some bad traffic and was about 10 mins late. I called ahead to let the shop know and they were so understanding.Once at the shop I checked in with Mikey who was fast and thorough, and met with my artist Casper. We had discussed the piece before with a few reference photos but what he drew up for me was amazing.It’s a very chill shop and over the course of my 6 hour session I felt very comfortable. Casper was great about taking breaks and making sure I was doing well. His line work and detail is outstanding and I felt like he really cared about the piece.I would say if you enjoy a laid back, clean and quality shop this is the place for you !

My Experience with Michael Myers at the Yale location couldn’t have been better…My wife and I decided to get tattoos to commemorate our 15th anniversary. We looked at a plethora of different artists in the Denver area and we settled on Michael. This is my biggest tattoo to date and I was hoping to find someone to work with for the long haul. At our consultation it was obvious that we had found a good fit. I had a rough idea what I was looking for as to subject matter, placement and style… Michael came up with the perfect custom design and knocked it out of the park. I requested a few minor changes on the day of the tattoo and he was very patient and accommodating. The vibe of the shop is as good as they claim… not stuffy or clickish at all like many other shops. I highly recommend Michael and Certified! I’ve already scheduled another appointment 👍🏼

This was one of the best tattooing experiences I’ve ever had, and I have a lot of tattoos. I was a little apprehensive the day of the appointment second guessing the placement and getting concerned about whether or not I would like it. However, I was in great hands from the very start. Skyler helped check me in. She was very nice and excited about the piece. As soon as we got a stencil picked out for the size, Casper went right to work. He got the placement perfect on the first try, and it really boosted my confidence. He was super nice and friendly and happy to hear about the meaning behind the tattoo. He wasn’t too heavy handed. He wasn’t too light handed. He carved out the whole thing in only an hour. On my way out, he was even kind enough to ask for a link to check out my band’s music (I mentioned it during the session). Just left the studio after a dream-like tattoo experience! I scheduled a virtual consultation, and had a wonderful time going over the basics and finding the right artist for me. West did such a good job on my butterfly tattoo. It was my very first tattoo and I was nervous but he really made me feel comfortable and it was pretty painless. The lines are so clean and he really took his time to make sure it was perfect.

I got a tattoo from Matt Huerta.It was a good 7 to 8 hour session. Good with the banter as well as just chilling as I listen to music or watch Netflix. It was my first tattoo, Im glad I spent good money for a good product.

I got a American traditional sleeve done by Myers @ Yale location and it came out incredible! I gave him some reference photos and not much else to work with and he gave me an art piece Ill be able to admire for the rest of my life. Clean lines, bright colors, and killer placement. He absolutely destroyed my expectations of what I would receive. This was an expensive piece but it is totally worth it for the work he did. He also was a great guy to hangout with! He was chill the entire time and we had some great conversations. He made me feel welcomed and heard from the consult all the way thru the end of the tattoo. Its gonna be hard to find anyone else better than Mike. If you need something done, especially a traditional or neo traditional piece, you HAVE to go to Mike at Certified!

I made an appointment on the CERCUS app for 2 flash tattoos. Jordan @ the Yale did my tattoos. He was really nice and did such an awesome job with both flash tattoos! The experience was such a good one and I recommend going to any Certified Tattoo shops!!

Kelsea is amazing artist and professional. The attention to detail is top notch and she listened and shared ideas on what works and doesn’t with the flow of a tattoo. I would sit in her chair again all day any day!!!The customer service side of the business and timeliness and response to inquiries via phone, email and social media are less than desired. They fix this and this is a well oiled machine.

Delaney did a flash tattoo on my arm for Friday the 13th. She was so nice and really took the time to set up the tattoo perfectly on my arm. She is very professional yet still so friendly! She’s only 19 and her tattoo and art skills are already so impressive. Very clean shop very friendly employees

I got my first tattoo on Thursday and can honestly say great experience all around. Casper was able to practically take an image out of my mind and place it on my arm. Incredible talent! He stayed focused on his work and the shop was clean and has a cool vibe to it. I’ve always been a badass and now I look like one. Very proud to wear this arm everyday. Thanks!Have to add some more because I got another one from here a few days ago and once again I am absolutely in love with the turnout. Tanner did my second one and did not disappoint. In fact, he did such an amazing job! He was super patient with me and gave me plenty of size options to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. The lines and even the small details are flawless. Lots of talent flowing through here! 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Got a cute flash tattoo by Emma @ the Yale location. She’s super sweet and professional and I LOVED the way my tattoo came out. Super clean lines. Definitely my favorite location.

Emma tattooed me and she was very professional and kind. She was extremely friendly and I loved how she incorporated different designs together to make the one I wanted. I will definitely recommend her in the future

I had an appointment with Nacho this past week to start working on a new piece I wanted. I just gave him a concept and he came up with the most beautiful sketch. Seeing it finished, its even better than I couldve hoped for. He was really nice and made sure I was comfortable the whole time, which I really appreciated. Everyone else in the shop was wonderful as well, and were fun and easy to talk to. This was such an awesome experience and Ill most definitely be coming back!

I’ve been tattooed by Delaney twice now and each time is always a great experience with her. I absolutely love talking to her every time I am there and hope to see her again soon!

Just got my first ever tattoo with Certified! It was the best experience. Shoutout to my super talented artist John Myers, my tattoo is incredible!!! He has a great style which balanced perfectly with my custom design. Such nice people and great environment all around:)

These guys are awesome! Justin was really helpful, making the check in process quick and easy. The shop was clean/well kept and their use of the latest tech made the appointment, as well as after care a breeze. Tanner does awesome work, has great attention to detail and made the experience memorable.

Came to visit my aunt from Chicago and wanted to get my first tattoo. I called to schedule and appointment and they had someone text me for more details. I scheduled an appointment with Adam, he estimated me around $200 dollars. I get to the location and they tell me that my artist has just moved locations and they had “meant” to call me and they would call ahead at the other location to let them know I was coming. I also called them on my way over to let them know I was coming. I arrive at the other location and I am nowhere on my artist’s schedule, the other location did not call ahead and the man at the front desk asks me repeatedly if it’s a consultation or an appointment. I try to explain the whole situation and they have me wait outside. Sephira, who was to be my artist, came outside to ask what I’m looking for. She tried to sway me a bit in my design and ask my price range. When I told her Adam quoted me at $200 she said she didn’t know why he would tell me that because she wouldn’t be able to do it for that much. Mind you I’m looking for black line work of a moon and a few flowers with NO SHADING only around 2 inches. At that point I just walked away. They were entirely unprofessional, and if I can’t even trust them to properly schedule an appointment, I sure as hell am not trusting them to tattoo me.Edit: I was contacted by someone named joey from the studio to see if I still wanted a tattoo and about my review. He claimed it was slanderous, that there was not enough confirmation, and “they cannot book clients to artists calendars with out a deposit”. I sent him screenshots and told him I made it clear to Adam that this was my first tattoo and I wasn’t sure how the process went. Adam never mentioned a deposit, nor did he follow up asking for more confirmation on the appointment. He insisted it wasn’t Adam’s fault and that he wouldn’t accept me slandering their business. Beware guys and keep looking for another tattoo shop.

I couldn’t be happier with the tattoos I got from Emma at the Yale studio! Not only is the artist incredibly talented, the scheduling staff (shout out to Tony) was super helpful and patient with helping schedule my dream tattoo. I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Certified and will recommended Emma to anyone!

Casper did an amazing job on my tattoo. It was my first tattoo and would definitely recommend him for any tattoo!

Came here for a walk-in. Everything was bright and clean and everyone was professional. The water and coffee (and candy bowl 🙃) are all really nice touches for waiting customers...as is the ATM on site (my first time seeing one, but maybe Im the outlier). T did a small linework piece on my arm and it came out beautifully! She was patient as I figured out the placement and helped me make sure it was perfect for me before starting. Definitely recommend checking out her work! Also--shout-out to the dude working the front service desk who very calmly and respectfully handled a few potential guests who were ineligible for tattoos for various reasons.

I got some awesome flash done by Emma and she did a KILLER job — she was super welcoming, extremely professional, and made my experience at Certified a great one. Everyone else at the shop made me feel comfortable and at home, and I will definitely be back for more!

Mike Myers is amazing! He did my water color tattoo. I had a specific idea on how i wanted it to look in my head and he perfected it!! I’m so happy with how it came out. Thank you so much!! Beyond blessed !!!
