Well, I don’t know what to think about this place. The food was overpriced . 2 beef empanadas for 14 dollars, maybe If it was lamb 🐑.. food was good but not $55 dollars good 😅 .. for two mijito lemonades, two empanadas and a cuban sandwich .. it’s not a one star ⭐️ because the service was good, food was good not great: There is also a 20% server “covid fee” / charge automatically, which is technically the tip.

This was my first time at the restaurant and it was great! The staff was very nice and communicated effectively about everything. We sat inside but there’s also a covered patio area that was adorable, it is a small restaurant so make sure to get there early or a reservation. The food was delicious and I’m going back again soon

Drink is good. Food was okay. Waited for a whole hour to get our food even it was not busy in the store. People came later than us got the food faster than us. Server was really nice. Flies came to stop on my cup multiple times. They charge 20% extra on the bill for their service before the tips.

Comfy place to zone out and enjoy the atmosphere. Coffee is great and Brazilian pillow pastries were like mini beignets!

The Carne Asada was so tender and juicy..I had the Enchiladas I had were the chicken Enchiladas in the sour cream tomatilla sauce..soooo delicious not to much sauce it was so delicious..they have Pastries that will blow you away..I really really enjoyed the Gloria Pastry a must have flaky crust and not to sweet filling..The pastry called I believe Alfajor..the outside cookie flavor is so flavorful the filling just perfect amount of dulce..I was very impressed with our waitress she explained the menu as if we were from another planet..I knew the menu because I have traveled to Panama and it had familiar flavors..but I am definitely going back to have the other exotic flavors.

Went here today with my family. I was a little nervous because it seemed kind of fancy and were just dressed in casual clothes. Everyone was super nice and we received amazing service. On top of that everything we had was very delicious. We had huevos rancheros, an empanada, kids meal chicken tenders, Cuban espresso, and iced latte. The coffees came with little bits of their cookies and that was great too. The dessert looked amazing but I was too full to get anything. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.

My favorite place for chicken enchiladas with a sour cream sauce. The food is always prepared to perfection. Their bakery products are fabulous and they make a mean frozen mojito. Very authentic cuisine.

First, let me say the food was fantastic and delicious.I dont know anywhere else where they will not seat you and serve you if you will not first give them your full name and phone number.There were flies buzzing around my table and I had to swat my hands around as I was eating. I had a fly land on the rim of my wine glass more than once.Service was a bit slow, I think service is made worse by their little autonomous Kart that drives around slowly with waiters walking slowly behind it. A bit silly and gimmicky.Im normally a pretty good tipper, but I dont really care for the 20% fee added to all bills.

Be aware of limited early morning menu, full menu after 11am. Delicious coffee options, pastries, and tasty simple dishes.

Wow Everything we got here was absolutely delicious. The empanadas are amazing.The Mango limonade was not too sweet and so tasty. Salsa and chips are on point.

First we order a pop over and when my wife cut it open she finds a dead fly inside. All she gets is oh Im sorry.. Then when we get the bill on it it states that their adding a 20% surcharge for staff support. And then it says that it would be greatly appreciated if we would leave a gratuity. This will be the last time we will be dining there.

They charge a 20% server fee for - the self service of getting jars out of their fridge. The service was $6 for her to ring me up and pay for the desserts. Mind you, this was to go, just did a quick pick up. I understand if I were there to eat and getting served but I went in, got yelled at by the guy behind the counter telling me that the fridge would be able to take my credit card even though there’s a sign that says it does not work.

As usual, excellent. We placed an order for a Rosca de Reyes to be our Christmas dessert and we were not disappointed with it. Very tasty, fresh and with a extremely nice presentation (one of the many things besides the foods quality that we love from La Duni). Higly recommended. And while we were there we couldnt resist and bought a 32 oz bag of Brazilian Kisses, one of the many other delicious sweets available at La Duni.

Hello people, I came to this place on a really busy Saturday night amidst the COVID19 pandemic in 2021. The staff was a little frazzled and not the nicest. The customers were pretty great and had rave reviews. Everyone says the “Quattro Leches” cake is the big deal here. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice patio and some mediocre wait staff. The Argentinian bakery at Maple and Oaklawn is probably better than this place but try it at your own risk and peril. Bon chancé!

Last time I was here was over 10 years ago...I live in Kansas. Ever since then I’ve been wanting to come back to Dallas and to come here especially for the cuatro leches cake...finally was able to get back to Dallas and back here for breakfast, got the breakfast tacos which were very good and then got the cake...did not disappoint! So good! So rich!! Just fantastic!

Ive only had the sweeter side of the menu here. If you are looking for a cake thats out-of-the-ordinary, the Cuatro Leches is it! A bright and textured soaked cake complemented by meringue. When the season is right or if you just need a warm and soothing drink, be sure to try their wonderfully subtle, Latin-inspired hot chocolates.

Great food, drinks and coffee! Waitress was also great! Dinner prices are a bit on the higher side, but it was tasty! Would recommend if your looking for a good cup of coffee, lunch or nice dinner out. It’s interesting as they really do cover these bases quite well.Made dinner reservations on resy that is a pre-paid deposit. Had no issues with it, it really is a small seating area so no complaints on them doing this.

I don’t think I will go there again. Breakfast for 4 (one is a kids plate) and total was $216. Outrageous! I was upset the whole day but now I log into my bank and apparently they decided to tip themselves $10 more and that’s on top of your service charge which is crazy. If they are talking about how things have changed now because of COVID so they need to charge more to the customers, well how about not having those robots that deliver the meal which is a waste (these poor waiters look ridiculous walking behind these little robots that hold the meal) that is what the service charge is for. Cut costs accordingly and not on your customers that have been supporting your business for years. I am even a member and was not allowed to get the points ($$) for the amount that I paid (which was never the case before) to get a reward card to use for my next dining experience. We will not be going back and will tell all that we know that are regulars as well.

They have appetizers, sandwich, salads, and Argentian dishes like Bife de Chorizo, and Parrillada Argentina (mix grill shareable). They have private free parking. Bathrooms were clean and separate for woman and man. Prices range from $12.75 (sandwich) to $36.95 (bife de chorizo). Server was very attentive, and bilingual. We had to wait about an hour for the food and the restaurant wasn’t busy it all. Parking can be limited. There was only one waiter. You can’t go wrong this location. Food and ambiance was great!

I have loved La Duni for years and I dine there now whenever Im in town. Today I was looking forward to a delightful lunch there. However, the waitress/hostess was so rude that we just gave up and left. Keep it up, La Duni, and you wont have ANY restaurants left. What a shame...

Just a Premium Mango margarita that is hard to find with great consistency in this city.. This one was on the menu for their Ritas and Tacos event recently on a Sat. Totally worth it. First 100 tickets bought online are $16 plus tax and $3 tip for all you can eat tacos and $6 Ritas (typically 3 kinds to choose from). Mango was the winner this night. *$5 shots too*...! If you live here, always good to check out the site often especially the warm weather now to see whats going on, otherwise the Regs will stay in the loop and spread the word as always. Anyone from out of town, the food is worth the $ so dont be intimidated..

What an organizational mess. If you go in with a Groupon, none of the staff know how to process it because the manageress hasnt bothered to train them, and she is having her hair done. She expects you to wait around until she returns. As for the waiter who is serving you, he couldnt care less. He was hired, by the same manageress, for that quality.This place is past its sell-by date. I shall cash-in my Groupons and go to one of the other dessert places in Dallas..

The food was delicious we asked Pollo alzado and enchiladas de pollo , as I said delicious, unfortunately the service is really slow also the waiters they don’t know what customer service mean. They were understaffed on a Friday night, so the bartender offered to serve us and made excellent recommendations. The caipirinhas are nice and you can’t go wrong with carne asada. And they have sal de gusano on the table!

I have been a patron of La Duni for over 13 years and my husband since they started. The food is good; the flavors are consistent making La Duni a solid bet for a good meal. However, over the years and the locations (went to all 3 in Dallas) they have gradually become more and more blatant in their nickel and dime attempts. The cost of food has skyrocketed to the point where the cost/value ratio is out of whack. I’m not talking about a $1 here or there but $3-5 increases in a couple years, consistently. This practice was put in place way before COVID across both remaining locations in Dallas and it seems now they feel even more emboldened in the practice. The food is good but spending $100 on a lunch meal that includes three kids’ meals and one adult meal is a little much (note no liquor was consumed but 4 lemonades and no deserts). Given that all restaurants are not behaving this way, I’m wondering if there is not a deeper issue the customers are footing the bill for here...

Despite the the price being a little high, the overall atmosphere, food, and service is great.We had veggie quinoa bowl (could be a little less oily), Latin toast w/o cheese (were on veggie diet :|), and chips and guacamole. All very tasty! Will return.

The north park location was so much better. They need to open the place and relax all the Covid rules they still have ! Borderline ridiculous comparing ALL OTHER restaurants in Uptown and Dallas in general. They make you feel like we were at the beginning of the pandemic. Sorry, love the place but Im not coming back.

The service was kind of poor. I have been there many times before, and it was always good; but this time, all the employees were running from one side to the other paying very little attention and in a hurry.

I like that they had temperature gages near the host stand. Every employee was wearing a mask. When I placed my order(for a Favor delivery), the kind employee informed me that a couple of the items were no longer on the menu. She gave a couple of suggestions. 10/10 would visit again

La Duni is a South American bakery/restaurant which has excellent food with a huge menu.I highly recommend the Carne Assada, anything with Yuca frita and their many baked goods, especially the sweet ones.Their jar desserts are also worthy of mention. It will take you a considerable amount of visits to start getting a good feel for the variety of the menu, but this is a worthwhile gastronomic journey.The service is very good, but be aware of overall a higher price that is not entirely justified. However, that is not enough to knock down a star. A 4.5 in my book and therefore, a five-star rating.

From the moment I was greeted at the door it felt like we left the US and entered into a Mediterranean, South American restaurant. Very impressive and great service. The food was excellent. Even the Busboys were authentic to the atmosphere created when you walk in.

The cake ordered was awesome. The ambiance here is one of the best I have seen in DFW area. The best part is the way the customers are treated. I will definitely recommend people to vist this place and experience the best service they provide.

All desserts are in a jar or wrapped in plastic. Used to be a great place for coffee and dessert. So sad. Please go back to your regular menu!

Want to give 5 stars but sitting on the patio and not being able to turn off or slow down fans above our heads forced us to eat our food quicker and not enjoy it or the atmosphere as much. Great touch as we walked in and they steam sanitized the soles of our shoes. Staff was beyond friendly, super accommodating and eager to help even if you stopped for 1 second just to look at desserts in a jar at the front.I ordered the ribs and must say, caps on, THE BEST RIBS I HAVE EVER TASTED!! Highly recommend this place and can not wait to return.

While I have eaten multiple times at La Duni before, I don’t think I will return after this experience.First, La Duni now charges a minimum per person for a reservation. I thought this was unusual, but ok, restaurants are struggling and La Duni’s dining room is on the smaller side. For dinner, this is a $35 per person fee, not counting gratuity. If you don’t meet this minimum, you’re charged the balance. If you don’t make a reservation and walk in, you’re not charged that minimum.Second, La Duni has 3 “virtual brands”, which are using La Duni’s kitchen to cook food for pick up. I can only assume these virtual orders are the cause for the snails pace of service in the restaurants as the kitchen is overwhelmed with these to-go orders and servers are constantly packing up and taking out orders.I think the servers are doing the best they can, but everything is so backed up that it took 20 minutes to get sodas, not even cocktails.The servers were kind and clearly doing their best. The food was ok, not worth the wait.

One of the most enjoyable euro latin food experience restaurant in Dallas. My first time there, and now my favorite to go at least 2 times a week.Service is top!... You are pampered from the moment you step in...Do not hold back.... explore with your palate the different dishes in the menu, and enjoy it with a delicious drink, and a great double expresso cortadito coffee....Dessert lovers wont be dissapointed... it will close the experience with a sweet trip to delightful heaven!Enjoy it, like I did, will keep enjoying visit after visit!

The food was okay. Nothing really popped out at me. The french toast was very dry and bland considering the basis of the entire dish is bread soaked in syrup and sugar.Is it worth at least one visit? SureWould I go again? Probably not.

I like LaDuni but feel that their service staff are no longer as quality focused as they used to be. The waitress was a rude to my sister on our last visit. She was not helpful and Ive noticed wait staff here are all looking like they do not like their job. They just closed the North Park location and I loved that location best, so this bad experience happened on the Uptown location. But I love the coffee here and overall the food is good.

We had the most amazing experience at La Duni. We chose to dine here for our date night and we made the right choice. The ambiance was perfect especially because there was a thunderstorm happening. The food was flavorful and filling. We had the queso verde and white corn esquires for appetizers. For our entree Peruvian Chafu Fried Rice and Pollo Aljibe. This family owned restaurant made us feel so at home. Make La Duni your next dinner choice.

If youre looking for a tear that will take you out of this world then try Quatro Leche cake. I have been to many desert places and tried tres Leche but never had anything as good as this cake. My wife and kids all thought the same thing.

Elegant and casual all at once with just enough hubbub to be fun without distracting from the excellent food. The menu is an interesting Latin mix of dishes that sound familiar but have an exotic flair throughout. Everything from the rice salad or the simple heart of palm and tomato salad up through the grilled meats is exquisitely fresh and tender. The food has a hint of spice without being overly hot. I would recommend the simple dishes (like the grilled chicken or fish) at first just to really savor the masterful cooking.Also a wonderful place for weekend brunch (it gets crowded though) or for an early coffee and pastry.

They have a fairly easy online check in system in place and have a temperature check before being seated. The wait for food was average. The chilequiles with egg and chicken was fantastic! It is a fairly large portion and well worth it. I love the coffee choices and ended up ordering the cold brew Chino Latino style. Very much reccomend.

The Mngr changed our ticket to state 4 people were in our party so the gratuity could be enforced. I tip if you give good service only. Our waiter came to my table 2 times only, that was to take our order and bring our check that was it. horrible on the managers behalf because I had checked in online for three people and also with the front lady she agreed it was three of us. he took longer changing our order before sitting us down to 4 people. Never again!

Worst experience ever today. I called in and the guy who I spoke with was very rude and condescending. The guy that handed me my food was very rude. After asking a question he waved his hand at me to basically get away from him. If you don’t look like money or if they don’t feel like they’ll get a good tip they will not treat you like a human. I expect to get the same treatment as others who are also spending their money.

The best coffee and deserts in town. Solid latin cuisine. Great lunch and brunch.
