Very good selection of vinyl. If you can’t find something here that tickles your fancy? You have issues. Staff is very friendly. Prices are about average and there are deals to be had as well.

What a delightful shop. I’ve been searching for any pressing of Pet Sounds along the East coast at all record shops I’ve been to and this was the only one to have it. The owner was super friendly and helpful. Definite must for audiophiles.

Way overrated.. if you want new top 40 records go here otherwise dig through a flea market bin.. I purposely leave the concord area to buy decent records

This is the store to go to downtown if you like music. They have a great selection of music and stereo equipment. If you prefer CD’s to Vinyl, they have you covered but if you’re like me and enjoy a good record, there’s an album waiting for you in the VAST selection of used vinyl, or even more if you want something new. I always find something to bring home to my collection even when I’m not looking for it.The store can be crowded at times, but it’s definitely worth stopping in if you haven’t been before, and even more so when you have.

Great space, was able to find the record I was looking for, and then some! Definitely will be revising again when up in the Concord area. Anyone looking for a great record store with friendly service should check out Pitchfork! My haul from the day...the owner was kind enough to pull out brand new used records that hadnt made it to the floor yet based on one record I already had in my pile. Dont know if customer service can get any better than that.

North of Manchester there arent many options for music stores (CD/vinyl) but if you can find a parking spot then check out this spot. Crate diggers will enjoy it and there are some dusty gems to uncover.

I’ve been here a few times, and absolutely love the atmosphere of the store. It gives off such good vibes and it’s one of my comfort stores to visit! Today I visited again, and the owner was so generous and kind to me. He made me feel so comfortable and safe in the store, during COVID-19, and is extremely careful about limiting Covid 19 spread, properly enforcing mask wearing and social distancing. I haven’t visited a store since the pandemic started that was as on top of their Covid guidelines as the owner of pitchfork was. I will definitely be returning many more times, and cannot wait to hang up my Beatles poster! (Thank you by the way)! Would absolutely recommend this store to anyone. It is an excellent business, and deserves so much success and business!

Ok you normal folks and also abnormal (spending loads of time in a record store) if you are in NH and love music you owe it to yourself to check out Pitchford.The stock is immense the prices are reasonable and Michael and his crew are super knowledgable on all types of music.Theres even a section for local musicians to put their CD s . Old head selection. Pitchfork as a publication covers more recent music and I vividly recall visiting years ago to a much wider selection of new records. Not sure what happened or if its my rose colored glasses, but not really worth a visit if youre looking for things you cant find at a flea market.

One of the 3 CD’s I bought turned out to be a very obviously pirated copy—and it didn’t even work. They could do a better job screening for problems like this, but otherwise the shop has a TON of merchandise and I recommend stopping by

If you dont see something you want, they will get it in for you.We also purchased a little record player from them as our vintage one is out of order.Works perfectly! Give them a try!

Thankful to have a place to pick up birthday CDs for my sister, today. Fast and easy and accommodating.

So I highly suggest that nobody buys anything from that place. Walked in and asked where the country section was and I was on my cell phone and he told me to leave the store,because he didnt want to hear my conversation. My sister that was on the phone with me heard the entire conversation and he was yelling and swearing at me because I said to my sister hes kicking me out of the store. Very rude old man. Definitely not Evahhhhhh going back to that disrespectful place

On more then one occasion the staff has been rude to me, especially the older guy. He has a decent somewhat overpriced selection of records. But there are other dealers who are actually nice to their customers. So no thanks Pitchfork!! Ill Never go back and tell anyone I know to stay away from this guy.

Really good selection but pricey. Basic used pop and rock CDs for about 8 bucks did they pay you $0.25 if you sell yours to them. Kind of a rip

I got there right before closing and the young girl who was working was very nice. She let me look around while politely informing me they were about to close. I got some great cassettes to play in my new to me 1997 Toyota Camry.

I went into the store one day with a piece of merchandise that I had purchased that I thought was not functional. I spoke with the owner, Mike, who immediately fixed the problem with the machine. Not only did he do that, but he also offered genuine advice about how to take care of the product. I was amazed with his service and I will return to this business whenever I can because of his performance. His assistant was also very polite and helpful. I am beyond impressed with the staff personnel at this store. I would 100% recommend this business to anyone especially because of the fantastic customer service.

Beware young people: crotchety old man does not appreciate any form of excitement. He may not be for you. We went in for the second time today, and I found a pretty good selection: The Doors album deluxe, In the Court of the Crimson King on vinyl, Velvet Underground picture disc, etc. Except the service is terrible. Mike, the owner, is the rudest man I’ve met in person. I raise my voice slightly, he tells you not to yell. His partner accidentally stumbles into me, instead of apologizing the owner pounded on a cabinet. My sister and her friend were just talking, and he shot them dirty looks and kicked them out. My friend tried to buy CDs, but he refused to sell them because her mom told her that he was being rude. And then he kicked us out, saying we were “too much”. If you’re lucky, it may work out. If not, I’d recommend you stick to whichever store you currently frequent.

Mike, the owner of this store, is the worst. From what I have noticed from a small handful of visits to the store, he seems to be very friendly and kind to particular customers, but short, unwelcoming, and in some cases rude to others, and all the same towards the people who work for him. From being needlessly short with his workers and customers to overhearing him fat shame people walking past the store, he doesn’t seem fit to be working in customer service. As for the store, merchandise is slightly pricey, which one could expect in Concord. As far as variety goes, Pitchfork has an abundance of used vinyl, CD’s, cassette tapes and DVD’s. Their vinyl selection could be much better in terms of genre variety. Their music selection overall seems very classic rock, folk and blues orientated, which is fine, but not for everyone. His staff is very friendly and willing to help, and nearly every time I have been here I’ve been greeted and offered help with any questions by his workers. Overall, nice staff, incompetent management, OK selection and prices. Visit at your own risk, but avoid the old man.

Excellent shop. Great record selection, both used and new. Was looking for two random records, one new and one used, they had both of them and then some. The gentlemen working there were extremely nice and courteous.

Little organization in the vinyl section. You have to do the work to dig through and we left without anything exciting, 3rd time. Big place and everyone in there was at the small record section. He doesnt take the time to organize it. Wont bother going back. Ive got other options that I get excited to go to.

These people are awesome!!!! If you like old records this is the place to go. They have cd, videos, records. So much stuff i have spent hours in the store. Also they carry record players and usually can find replacement needles. Great service. Clean store. Come and spend some time here. You will not regret it!

Love Pitchfork if they dont have what I am looking for it can be ordered and it will be in in a day. Its been the same friendly service in over thirty years the only thing that has changed is the location.

Great selection of new/used turntables/amps/records. Used gear seemed very reasonably priced with a good return/warranty policy. Selection of used records was delightful. Has all the classics that you would expect a used record shop to have and then a ton of other weird/rare stuff. I could have spent all day digging through crates. The sort of un-cataloged records under the crates (that every record shop seems to have) had a bunch of great stuff, too, not just the junk that always seems to accumulate there. Pricing was fair, and appeared to based off of Discogs pricing. However, at a physical shop you can actually inspect the merchandise and you dont have to pony up for shipping (making the prices, in my opinion, great). I got a bunch of loot at the owner cut me a small deal.Shop had a great atmosphere and I had a blast searching for records. Only gripe would be price tags on the jackets, a forgivable offense as they removable (though a bit fiddly).

1 of the last independent music stores. They have everything, including a knowledgeable owner who can help find some hard to find items.

Ive havent been to Pitchfork in almost 20 years (was in the military) but coming back and seeing a place I visited and shopped at as a kid, and it still being as amazing.. I love this place and their incredible selection :)

Im Sooo hurt and shocked! I would often frequent this record store because Mike (the owner)has a LOT of records. I spent a LOT of money there too! Unfortunately a few days ago I bought a brand new record there and I played it at home on my record player and it sounded warped. I went to return it and Mike wanted to try it on his turntable and it seemed ok....but I had recorded on my phone what it sounded like on my record player and he told me its the belt on my record player. I was going to have him fix it, but I just decided to buy a new one instead and when I played the same record on it, it STILL sounding warped!! I decided to have my husband call him to tell him even with a new record player it sounds warped. He then told my husband that if I return the record that Ill have to buy my records elsewhere....he basically told me I couldnt go back! That is such BAD business!!! I was soooo hurt. I cant believe he would do me like this after all the business I gave him!! I read another review and it said that he was a mean old man but I gave him the benefit of the doubt but to be honest I felt very intimidated by him and now ended up getting hurt!! His prices on new records are a bit high. I unfortunately dont recommend going there! Im just honestly so sad and shocked!

Great atmosphere, music is always playing, extensive amount of new and used vinyl, however the the new vinyl is a little pricey, and used vinyl isnt cycled out very often.

Went in to buy a record player and some records. Owner was pushy and rude. He continuously yelled at an employee who was clearly doing his best. We were significantly uncomfortable and left without buying anything.

Birthday Ruiner! - The staff is friendly but the owner wouldnt allow my 12 year old daughter to see a record player out of the box because he didnt want to rip the plastic bag it was kept in. Hour & a half car ride each way to learn the lesson not to patronize rude business owners.

When I walk into this magical place I feel close to my late husband, Aaron AARONJoseph Reitano who was a very brilliant music writer, composer, conductor, singer, teacher, entertainer and professional disc jockey who mastered the saxophone, piano and clarinet! I miss him each and every day so Thank you Pitchfork Records for making my dreams come true. Im celebrating my 65th Bday by purchasing a lovely old fashioned looking radio phonograph​ so I can listen once again to all my Elvis Music and my late beloved husbands vinyl record that he won a Billboard Award for excellence in writing, composing and performance of an original song he wrote called, Lady Your My Poetry...☯
