Precision installed a new garage door for me. I was very satisfied from start of the process to the installation! The customer service was very helpful and responsive in all my needs. Jeffery Johnson (installer) was very professional and courteous. He stepped up, and helped us out with a last minute change of plans. Great job! I love our new garage door. I have used Precision in the past so it was only natural for me to call them again for service on my garage door. I contacted them yesterday and Tom P. showed up bright and early this morning. He was initially here to replace the garage door spring but ended up not only doing the spring - he also installed a new opener system to replace a dinosaur opener I have had for over 15 years. Tom P. was great and me and my husband are very happy. They are our go to company for superior service with garage door systems.

Our house is about 70 years old and the garage doors are likely the original ones. A few weeks ago, the day finally came when one of the door’s spring broke. Since it was so old, there was no way to repair it, so it needed replaced. It was also an unusual size so we needed it custom-built. Alex did our installation and it looks fantastic! We couldn’t be happier! He not only did a great install, but hauled away the old door, spring, and tracks. We will definitely be contacting Precision when the other door finally breaks :)

Garage door spring broke last night. I called Precision Garage Door at 8:15pm. On hold for less than one minute. Very knowledgeable individual and identified my account as I am a repeat customer from 10 years ago. Appointment made for 8:00am to 12pm today. The service gentleman called at 7:40am saying he will arrive in 20-25 minutes. Tom arrived on time, reviewed the services and costs with me. He gave me an estimated time for completion. When completed Tom showed me the completed work. Tom was great. Professional and polite. I never write reviews but in this case I am. I totally recommend this business for price, professionalism and great customer service.

I cannot speak more highly of this company or the service they provided me. They came out to give me an estimate within hours of me contacting them. Within about a week of the estimate, the garage door was ordered and installed. The man that installed the door, Jeffery Johnson, a former marine, was tremendous. I wanted three estimate s for a new garage door. One company never showed and the other showed up but never sent or called me about a cost quote. Precision (Sarah) met with me and discussed procedures, matching the house trim, different insulation, installation details and a cost estimate was sent immediately to me. Very professional. The cost was reasonable and they scheduled within about two weeks. Shawn was the installation tech and he did a very nice job. He called ahead, arrived a little early, was organized and explained operations and care at the end of the install. The entry pad on the outside of the door wouldn’t work and he explained he would have a tech call to make an appt to come out to get it working. The door is very nice, nothing fancy, but sure improves the look of our 1970’s two story! A very professional company all the way around.

Jason O. showed up within 1 hour of me calling for a service call. My garage door was not working. Jason talked me through every detail of what needed repaired/replaced and even gave me different options to choose from depending on what my budget was. Very friendly and trustworthy, even had prices of parts which continue to increase in price lately so that I knew price increases were due to demand and not Precision charging a premium. Great customer service. The installer was prompt, thorough, courteous and professional The only reason I gave them a 3 star review is the price. I should have done more comparison shopping. I probably should have refused service when I got the quote but I just wanted to get it done. I paid way too much for springs and a couple of brackets!!!

Our garage door broke Monday morning -- Jason was out to see us the next day. He was great - explained things, walked me through the check-up (what was working, what wasnt), quickly identified the cause of the problem and gave us options. Parts were on the truck - so door was fixed and working within an hour. Jason was friendly and helpful. Great service and will definitely call them again when and if we need a fix!

Overall good experience with the technicians, David and Jason. They arrived as scheduled and listened carefully as we explained the problem and our concerns about work recently performed by another company. After inspecting the door they explained the problems they had found and provided several options. We chose the more complex and expensive solution which had a significantly greater expected service life and warranty. The work took 3-4 hours to perform, but the door now works properly and we have greater confidence in its reliability in the years ahead. My only disappointment is that the replacement rollers have 7 shafts that stick out quite noticeably whereas the ones they replaced were much shorter - maybe 3 or so - and were not at all obtrusive. I wonder if they were the only parts available on the truck?UPDATE 06/17/2021: David and Jason just completed swapping out the 7 shaft rollers for 4 shaft rollers and I am totally satisfied with both the quality of the work and the way the garage door looks now! I cant say enough good things about the follow up I received from Chelsea, the office manager, and David, the senior technician, after my original post. All seemed genuinely concerned that I was not 100% satisfied and went out of their way to ensure my complete satisfaction. Great experience and I would not hesitate to recommend the company and these two technicians to anyone in need of garage door repair!

Phone customer Service was great. Installer was great, one of the nicest guys and I’ve flipped 4 houses and dealt with a lot of service people. Same day service and they stand by their products. Far from the cheapest game in town but service and hopefully support if needed comes through. They price match so make sure to negotiate on the price of the work.

Update - called the office, after discussion , precision adjusted the charge for me. They do have good customer service.My husband had the service person came and paid for the work without checking others. When i took look at the invoice. That is extremely high. maintenance and some part replacements run up to $1500. Especially for the parts, Roller, pulley . each unit price is 3-4 times higher. I know the service person done his work properly , but not understanding why the charge can run up so high

A technician (Derek) came to our house the day-of to fix our garage door, which had completely broken down. Very nice, patient, and explained the issues to me and then again to my husband. Fixed our door and it works great now. We expect the motor for our garage opener to go in a couple years and will definitely be calling Precision Garage Door of Columbus again.

Just before 7am on a Saturday morning when we both were ready to leave, our garage door spring broke and we could not get our vehicles out of the garage. Our garage door needed a new opener due to a power surge. The technicians arrived promptly at the agreed time. They checked out the motor and advised us on the best way forward. They gave us a variety of choices, but still informed us that the choices are all up to us. We went over pricing and I promise, there was no pressure. We got a far more quiet opener than we originally had. We spent a little bit more than we had planned, but it was well worth it. They did other servicing to make sure the garage door worked well. Terrible service and prices. When I called them or when they try to call me. The moment I try to answer the phone, they immediately hung up on me and when they do decide to speak to me. They overcharge the price way more than the flat rate of the repairs. Not sure how they got so many reviews, but Im sure the reviews were bought.

After a power outage I was unable to lift my garage door. The manual drawstring did not work. Then the bolts holding the opener dislodge . First of all let me say that the guy Michael that came by to do the repairs was very polite and very professional so 5 stars from him. However after having the work completed and then doing my research I found that the price that I was charged for replacing the spring and bearings for my garage door was double than the average $300. This was even after the discounts that I was given. I would say to anyone thinking of using this company please make sure that you compare prices. Because they are very expensive..

I called Precision Garage Door around 8:00 am on a Wednesday. I was told someone would be to my home by 9:00 am! We had a broken spring. Matt E. explained everything to me so I understood my choices and what needed to be completed to have the door working again. He had all the right equipment in the vehicle, and fixed the door! The spring on my garage door broke. My husband called precision garage door and was able to get an appointment the next day. It is very important to us to park our cars in the garage when there are single digit temperatures and freezing rain.Timothy came to service our garage. My old spring was in two pieces and a wire was hanging off where it used to be attached to the old spring. I told Timothy that I was I interested in replacing the spring on both single garage doors while he was at our house. I trusted that Timothy was telling me the truth when he said that I needed an entire new garage system.Timothy NEVER presented a price for simply a broken spring. Timothy wanted to sell me on an entire new garage system. I am a nurse. I am not a garage repair person. I do not know anything about garages other than they are extremely heavy without a working spring. I trusted that if Timothy told me I needed a new garage system that he was telling me the truth.I ended up paying $1868 for two new garage systems. I really only wanted two new springs. To the best of my knowledge, all of the other parts were working fine. My friend used deluxe garage systems and paid $100 for a new spring and installation. BUYER BEWARE! I feel extremely taken advantage of. Please call around and get another opinion before using precision garage door.After speaking to Chelsea with precision garage, this situation was resolved in a positive manner. The customer service that I received in the end was an unexpected pleasant surprise. Thank you to Chelsea.

EDIT: Updating to 3 stars since they were able to provide a full refund.Garage door was stuck so I had a technician come out and take a look at it. He thought the issue was with the safety eyes so he replaced that and charged $315 which didnt resolve the issue as he then stated it was an issue with the logic board and quoted $900-$1.1k to replace the garage door opener. After looking online, ordering an entire NEW garage door opener (which includes safety eyes) with additional labor cost for install at Home Depot is only around $300-$500 yet I got charged $315 for not even having the issue resolved. Feel extremely ripped off and will not be using this company again.Quote Estimate I received from this company for replacing the garage door opener:Genie 3120: $8807 Belt Rail for Genie 3120: $160If you look online the Genie 3120 can be found for the following prices:Genie 3120: $2367 Belt Rail for Genie 3120: $76.80Price difference between the two is $700 .... so does it really cost $700 for labor?

When leaving this morning, my garage door wouldnt go down. I did a quick Google search and instantly noticed the number of 5 Star reviews for Precision Garage Door and figured I would start there. Website was ok and it was hard to find a form to complete. Once I did, it took less than 15 minutes for customer service to call me and schedule an appointment. I completed my request around 9:30am and was told a tech would be out the same day between 10 and 2. I received a call at 1:15 from Jesse and was excited to hear he was 20 minutes out. He arrived on time and proceeded to complete a thorough inspection of the entire garage door assembly from top to bottom. Jesse showed me an itemized list from immediate issues to suggested maintenance areas. He wasnt pushy at all, but rather incredibly understanding and empathetic. Knowing I had only owned the home for two months and hadnt planned for this, he constructed a plan to repair immediate issues to get the garage door working again. He took the time to join me for a speaker phone call with the home warranty company that didnt cover any areas of concern as he warned me. I approved his plan and he jumped into work. He replaced the springs that werent right for the door as well as the laser eyes. He didnt stop there though! While working on the springs, he noticed some additional moving parts that were major areas of concern and contacted home base. They provided approval to replace these pieces on the house and he did so. Once the repair was complete, he showed me how he could float the door with one finger and that it also wouldnt rush to the ground as it previously did. The sensors also worked appropriately and the door went up and down properly. Jesse lubed the door, aligned the track and left me with the can for maintenence. Crazy enough...it didnt stop there. Jesse explained the flexible payment options available that are such a blessing considering the impact of covid and the fact that no one plans for their garage door to fail. I just cant say enough good things about Jesse and Precision Garage Door. From start to finish they are A+! Thank you for your help and I will be in touch for any future garage door needs. We live in the Canal area and I highly recommend giving Precision a call. Our technician, Gary, was everything you could ask for. The thing I always look for when it comes to having repairs done with your home is transparency. Gary did a great job in laying out current problems, projected problems and each solution available based on YOUR needs. He did a good job in getting to know you as a customer and what your situation looks like now and in the future. He isnt going to recommend something that doesnt make sense for you.

Dustin came and emergently serviced our broken garage door. the woman over the phone provided excellent and very responsive phone service and Dustin provided great professional and excellent garage repair service. It was repaired within a few hours from the phone call. I would definitely go back to them. it was 1350 dollars with a 3 year warranty to replace 2 coils, all bearings, wire and some snapped hinges and our garage has never been quieter and smoother.

Precision did such a great job! The sales reps were very helpful and very knowledgeable. Rodney Scott did an excellent job replacing our garage door. He was very professional!

Very quickly responded and arrived as scheduled. The cost of replacing broken spring - lower warranty 3 years for $660 and higher warrant 5 years for $770. It is really overpriced , did not like the price send them back after paying $50 fee. Got it replaced the same day for $250. Precision Garage door left very bad taste in my mouth. I will not recommend or ask the cost before you engage this company.

The springs broke on our garage door, so we called Precision Garage Door to come out to fix it. Our technician Dustin K. was awesome!! This young man thoroughly inspected our door to reveal it definitely was the springs. He showed us a couple of different options for repair and once we chose one, he was ready to get the job done. He explained what he would be replacing and the length of time it would take to complete. Once he was finished he showed us the old parts and what had happened. Same day service, was better than expected! Convenient after work hours appointment was unexpected but very appreciated. Michael Bowman, the service technician was very polite, accommodating and knowledgeable. He replaced broken springs on our main garage door and replaced deteriorating spring on our second door. Also replaced all rollers and lubricated hinges. Took about 2 hours in all. Everything works better than ever! Price is not the cheapest, but I feel you get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend their services.
