Hair Plus is honestly the only beauty supply store I shopped at when I lived in Columbus. They have everything you need from hair products, make up, extensions and even accessories. Staff is always very helpful. Whenever I’m in town and I need any beauty supplies this is where I go. I went in this weekend to get lashes and hair wraps for my sisters sweet 16 they open early(9:30) and had exactly what I needed.

The wig attendant in the back was so sweet and helpful, checking on probably 15 different styles for me in the stockroom. Very patient and just a delight to be around. The ladies at the front are definitely experts in hair and were able to peg in half a second exactly what color hair I needed. Great place for all sorts of hair and beauty products!

Looking for Designer Essential Kikui and Coconut leave in conditioner. Seen it there where it was located. Next day I went to use it and it was the Peppermint and Aloe shampoo. They had what I wanted but not organized well so I picked up the bottle behind the leave in thinking it was the item I wanted. Unfortunately, they have a no exchange policy so I wasted $13.00 on something I did not want or need.

My favorite thing in the store is the Vivica Fox wig collection and of course I love the endless options of false eyelashes. First, giving a 5 star is unfair as Mrs. Lee, the husband and Leekal (the lady who works there) deserves more than a 5 star rating. Given the nature of my job, I have the opportunity to travel world wide and all I can say I have never had such an amazing hospitality, care, and help.I traveled from Dubai for work and the lady at the hotel told me that I must go to Mrs. Lee’s store down a few blocks for all my hair needs. First, I was warmly greeted and welcomed inside the store. Next question was “how can we assist you? I said I needed crochet braids. Mrs. Lee in a very friendly approach showed me where to find them and said Leekal will assist you with anything you need. Feel free to explore. Everything I picked was professionally explainedAs I was about to check out the systems went down and couldn’t process card payments. Mrs. Lee immediately contacted the husband who in no time came to the store to fix the issue. Meanwhile Mrs. Lee took me for a walk inside the store apologized for the inconvenience. She then asked me “which lace wig would you like to own today? She then touched a beautiful lace wig and said “what do you think about this one?” I said it’s beautiful....she then said “pick your color and wait here while I check something in the store”. She came out with two beautiful wigs and said “which one suits you”? She then said “ this is my gift for you don’t say a word, thank you for visiting” I was shocked and touched by the gesture. Mrs. Lee’s kindness didn’t stop there all I can say I walked out with half shopping and half gifts. As the systems took time to resume Mrs. Lee and family offered me a ride to the ATM and back and also assisted with the Uber back to the hotel. I have no words for this kindness.I have NEVER walked in a store where the owner gifted me...to many it’s all about money but at Mrs. Lee’s it’s more than just money....you feel wanted, welcome, and valued. I have learned a huge lesson today. On every flight/duty I take I will make sure I gift one person. It brings more joy to give than to receive I saw it in Mrs. Lee’s eyes. I am coming back. Im still looking for a black owned hair supply place in Columbus Ohio. This place was pleasant enough. The high counters at checkout feels weird and a bit disrespectful implying something. The signage about sticking your fingers in product is also weird. These are things that I would call microaggression to a community that is mostly black. This behavior is exhausting. The way the black community is treated is also exhausting. Cant wait to take my dollars to a black beauty supply house. @feoritrini (ig)

Hair Plus has such a wide selection of hair supplies that I was struggling to decide what to choose when Ms. Lee showed me the sample packs to try first before buying one of the big bottles. I absolutely love this store. I have been shopping here for about 15 years. I have never had a problem. All of the staff are courteous and excited when I walk in. Mrs. Lee is the best! She is so caring and takes time to help with my shopping and always ask about my family. I became suddenly ill with cancer and she was so supportive.
