He tells you your options in order of priority/safety, with no pressure or judgment on whether you accept a recommended service or not. The recommendations hes made have always been super appropriate, though. I have appreciated all the services Ive had at Midas in CH.

I took my f150 for a diagnosis, the staff were very professional they did gave me a good diagnosis of why my truck kept stalling but they werent 100% sure if that was the problem. They did told me to take it to a Ford dealership to be sure. I had a diagnostic run for my engine light, and found out it was just dirty where I put gas in. No charges. Arranged an oil change within that same week and had a list of big ticket items needing attention as well (tie rod, differential, gaskets, etc). The crew was able to get all the work done between 12pm Friday and 3pm Saturday. This was convenient for me. They kept me updated with phone calls. I have a list of not-so-dire fixes and Ill go back to fix them there once I have the time. I feel like the cost was reasonable (~$1400 with ~$900=labor) and the manager was honest with me throughout my transaction. 2011 Jeep Patriot, manual transmission.

Since Corey took over, I have become an even bigger fan of this place. Personal touch. Great attitudes. Honest work. I love these guys

Ive been to the Columbia Heights Midas location three times and they are by far the best value. They are honest and find solutions other places dont. They just saved me $600 today. Last time I brought my other vehicle in, they saved me $300 on my A/C. Amazing. Ive used other Midas locations and have similar results. I think because they are family owned. Cory and Andrew were top notch. Called in the second they opened because my muffler had fallen off the night before. Got my Terrain in around 7:30am, was told it could take up to the end of the day but was done in a couple hours. Pricing seemed very reasonable. Ive stopped at this Midas location twice now. The first time I brought it in was to address a check engine light issue. Of course, once I brought it in the light went off, but I had the code so they did some guesswork on what it could be and found a few other issues that they asked if they could fix. Having taken it to another place prior, those things were never even brought up so I appreciated it. The most recent time was to help diagnose an intermittent startup issue and replace some lights.Both times I went the staff was professional, informative, and helpful. They kept me updated along the way to make sure I would get my car back when I needed it. I highly recommend using this location.

I was there for brakes and diagnostics. Mr. Andrew and his technician are extremely professional with their service. I never had pictures of my car defects but this place includes pictures with the diagnostic paperwork which shows me how thorough they are. Hands down I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Went for a code check for my check engine light. They were pretty busy but still helped me right away. I was there for maybe 15 minutes and they were already done. Had a couple codes that only the dealership would be able to figure out. Great customer service and great communication when it comes to what work is needed. They always give you a quote before any services begin.

The people at Columbia Heights Mazda made it a very easy day for me. They did a full inspection and let me know what I would need to get my car back to top running condition. They stuck to the schedule they promised and were very nice to work with. My car runs and sounds great. I will be going back for future repairs.

They threatened to report my vehicle as abandoned claiming it had been there for 2 weeks when actually it had only been there 3 days since they gave me an estimate on the work I needed done. They called me on the 22nd claiming it had been there since the 8th which was the day I called about it but they couldnt fit me in before the weekend and I could get it there until late the following week so I dropped it on the 16th and they gave me an estimate at the end of the day on the 17th. I told them Id be in on Monday to go over it in person but I couldnt make it and on Wednesday morning they left me a message stated they where going to report my vehicle as abandon. I was appalled and picked up my vehicle the next day. Their estimates were double the price I got at other locations and I would never ever get any work done there.

CH Midas checked out my exhaust system noises and discovered the issue and removed the problem even though I didn’t have an appointment. They didn’t charge me for the service. Many thanks!

Had my breaks done pads and rotors quick and affordable. Life time warranty on pads, if you get them replaced before you need new rotors you only pay for the labor and not the new pads, saves you a lot of money after a while. The guys there are all fast and professional. You also get pictures of any parts they need to replace so when they say it’s worn out and you need a new one you can actually look at the worn out part l. Shout out to Cory for explaining their policies and warranty’s and getting me out of there quick.

Well, I had an issue with wipers liquid spray which was froze. It’s a strait issue where we can defrost and replace the tank if needed. Honestly the person of in charge there notified me as he need to do research even for known issue. He fixed it and charged $380 in the name of research on finding the problem, is it believable. I am not a mechanic, but have common sense of understanding what’s happening around. Thanks for your service and I never try recommending this to anyone.

I was told they would throw in an oil change because that was needed. I asked too when the tires got replaced if they could look into an issue with the RR tire because the low tire warning was frequently coming on and I would have to put air in the tire every other week.Usually my experience has been good, however, this past experience has me feeling frustrated and taken advantage of.My oil change did not get taken care of and just yesterday my now my LF tire is showing low PSI.So 2 issues did not get taken care of and my vehicle is really in need of an oil change.

I’ve been getting my oil changed at this location for a couple of years and Andrew is always there and always genuinely the nicest and most knowledgeable person I’ve ever encountered in a customer service role. They all do great work with a limited wait and are always upfront and honest about charges before doing additional work. I feel I am always treated fairly and like a competent consumer. I love the consistency of service and competitive pricing and I will continue to have my vehicle serviced at this location indefinitely.

This shop is phenomenal with there electronic inspections so I could see what was happening with my car, and they are focused on customer service as that was clear in how they worked with me on a one on one basis. Then he and his team are on it right away to fix my vehicle. And they do fix it. Andrew at the front desk is polite, efficient, and never turns me away. I was going to another place for years. My friend encouraged me to come here. I haven’t left. Any issue, I call. They get me in ASAP. Like right away. Then they assess my vehicle with speed and accuracy. Next, they fix it! I really like this place. Ive had my oil changed there several times. Theyve checked out rattling parts on my car (and fixed them) and now are putting on new tires. They are super helpful, reasonably priced, and where I want to spend my money.

I’ve been taking my car to Columbia Heights Midas for a couple years I’ve gotten great service. They make sure I understand what’s going on with my car before doing work on it and they’ve always been up front and honest. Plus they give pretty accurate estimates up front so my bill isn’t a surprise.If I ever have issues after getting a part replaced here they take responsibility and get me back on the road without trying to charge me extra money. I come here for oil changes and any time I have mechanical problems or a check engine light. I recommend them all the way.

This was my first visit, and I was very impressed. Galen and his crew did a wonderful job from start to finish. I got the services I needed, without trying to be sold things I didnt.

Went to this location for the first time with my car. The customer service was great. They took the time to explain everything to me and prices were within reason. I left happy. However, the night after my car began having problems. It was working fine before I took it to the shop and the guy even said that my car was in great condition. He gave me a few future pointers but nothing immediate. Now my car wont start, its not moving even when the gas is being pressed upon. Basically I went in with a great working car which they told me was in good working condition after they completed an inspection and now its totalled. Complete shock from this experience and unsatisfied.

This is the only place I go for oil changes and minor upkeep for my 2006 Equinox! Jeff, the manager, is the best around. Always friendly, honest and accommodating and making sure things go well. My daughter goes here also and is always well taken care of. I recommend this place to my friends for their car needs too. Once again hats off to Jeff the manager....he is second to none! My rating is 5 stars plus!

I called the shop and asked them to weld a pipe for me and also to custom bend another pipe for me. They were more than willing to do the job and the price was reasonable. I took one pipe to them and had them butt weld it for me. About two weeks later I brought my car in and had them custom bend a pipe for me and also had the mechanic install it. They did a great job both times. Easy to talk to, reasonable prices and good services. If you have an issue with your cars exhaust, take it to them. They will take care of it for you. I accidentally made an appointment with this location for an oil change (the original place I was suppose to make an appointment with is part of my lifetime oil change deal with the car I bought recently) and I will be continuing to come back to them. The awesome customer service and prompt service is great! They did an oil change and a coolant fluid flush and called me after each service was done. It was great! I will be coming back, even though I have free oil changes somewhere else, because of their attention to detail, quality service and customer service.

Listen, I live in Saint Paul and there are about 5 Midas locations closer to me, but I loyally return to this location each time for my oil changes. The staff at this particular Midas is always kind, sincere and prompt with services. Their number one priority is to make sure the customer is happy, and what do you know, I always am!

I have been going to this particular Midas for a little bit now. I have had standard oil changes and some actual repairs done. Each time, the staff was very polite, friendly, and professional. The work they did was clean and quality. Rather than trying to upcharge you, I have found them to be honest and try to 1) explain what needs to be done and why and 2) save you money. It really seems like they are focused on quality work and quality business, rather than scraping the bottom of your pockets. I it certainly a pleasant experience I would recommend to anyone.

We brought our vehicle in to have several things fixed including an alarmingly bad wobble in the steering wheel. All the repairs were done quickly and at a fair price, and everything worked perfectly when it was done. Jeffs expertise made us feel comfortable that he knew exactly what was needed, and the perfect repairs proved it. The vehicle runs great now, and we know where we are taking it next time a repair is needed. Plus the people were friendly and courteous, and they serve free Caribou coffee to boot! All in all, a great experience for a potentially painful problem.

Pretty reasonable staffs and mechanics here. I took my Uber car here for inspection and they’re very reasonable even though I had couple issues, like, having to change one of my lower control AEM’s (I ended changing both control arms), correcting my tpms light (turned out one of my batteries is dead for tpms), and getting a new alternator or serpentine belt. I did it all myself on one day and the next time I came back they passed me without any issues.Definitely one of the most professional shops I’ve worked with!

Jeff and Andrew at the front desk were very helpful! The tech who worked on my oil change actually saved my cap after I said Id be willing to buy a new one. You cant beat a car place that saves you money after you already agreed to pay more. Couldnt be happier with the work and the serves. (Plus they have free pop and wifi while you wait.)

Ive been here a couple times now and the people are so nice and helpful, especially the front desk guy, Andrew. Once I had my dog with me and they let me bring him inside while I waited for my oil change. They did a great job on my car too of course, but because of their friendly atmosphere Ill be coming here from now on! Highly recommend this place.
