They are extremely busy all the time because they are without a doubt the best Mercedes repair shop around. They have made a decision to brush off the less wealthy clientele. my car sat there for weeks. they didnt seem interested in fixing it. Finally I think it is done correctly. The shop has Integrity but you can fall through the cracks. They just have too much work to handle. I think they try to treat you right... eventually.

Honestly, I am so happy I chose Salim’s to have a transmission replacement done on my lovely R129. Amanda and Gus Definitely exceeded my expectations. Not only was my car done faster then I anticipated, they answered any questions I had, and kept me updated throughout the process. I also ended up paying alot less then the estimate I received, the transmission in car works as it should!! If your in the springs or Denver and looking for a shop to take your Mercedes for any sort of repair this is the place!! Excellent customer service goes a long way on my book. I was recommended this place by the dealership due to having a sprinter. Most dealerships don’t service my sprinter, so I gave it a shot. They were kind, and got me in in a reasonable time. However, this is the second mechanic out of six to tell me “the repairs are going to be worth more than the value of the van”. Mind you, I also live full time out of it with my fiancé and dog (it’s converted into a full living space)… So… the value is a literal shelter, as well. They cleared the codes, explained how bad an “intake issue” would be to service, and then told me they’d call back if they were “willing to do the work”.Never called back. I assume because it seemed like a lot of work?I purchased a code reader, proceeded to clear the codes my self and take of part off the exhaust that was causing my engine to act like it had a sock in the exhaust. She’s been running fine ever since. 3 stars for kindness and trying to “explain the horrible issues”. However, a little honesty on what could help would have been a lot more use. $10k in repairs vs $150 scanner and 2 hours of exhaust labor🤔 come on.

I havent had A/C Is a few months in this very hot summer, they fixed it the same day and were very pleasant. I can now commute and be completely comfortable 😌 I will utilize them in the future. Thank you!!!

Let me start by saying that Salims is one of the best shops I have been to. Guss is a great mechanic as well as very professional and friendly. I dont understand why they even have bad reviews! I took in my 2016 c300 in for a service B, and most importantly a leaking fuel line. It was very hard and tedious to find even through all the test that were done. However Guss and his team did not give up and found it. Great price and Very great service. Highly recommend and I will definitely be going back for all my mechanical needs. Dont waste youre money at the dealership and deal with thier prices Guss does the same quality work for a great price.

My family has been trusting Gus and family to service our various mercedes for 20 years. Simply the best. My mother is a senior and Gus takes care of her as though she was family, always accommodating and attentive to her needs. She can always just swing by and Gus will run out and make sure whatever is wrong is personally looked at. For me they have always been trustworthy, remarkably skilled and well priced. Whenever I have mechanical issues they get me in asap and get things handled in a way I trust and appreciate.

So much to say but first let me start by saying if you’re not coming to see Gus at his shop then you are missing out on a great establishment that makes you feel like you’re family. I have seen this gentleman interact with numerous customers and it feels like he talk to them as if the customer was part of his family. Very professional with a kindly staff. Amanda at the front desk is really sweet and kind. Gus tech’s well let’s just say they know your Mercedes Benz better than you yourself and both Gasoline /Diesel engines. Gus went above and beyond to insure my vehicle ran to the highest possible standards. My 2006 E55 came in for originally just a full headers upgrade and his tech found in the process of doing so that I needed new (2) motor mounts. Also my starter was replace because car wouldn’t start. Most importantly his prices for labor and parts are just out of this world very affordable prices to pamper your lovely Benz. Honestly if you don’t have active warranty thru the dealer I’m not sure why you would go get ripped off at any Mercedes Benz stealership. Give this shop and Gus a chance I promise you won’t be disappointed. Thank you so much again Gus you have a forever customer here.

I had taken my Mercedes GL350 to the dealer and a couple other Import Auto places in town because is had lost power and wasn’t running right. Every time I got an estimate in the thousands to fix it. I called Salim Silver Auto and talked to Gus who told what the problem most likely was. I brought the car in and he did a diagnostic and didn’t even charge me! It was a sensor in the exhaust which fixed the car and saved me so much money! They are professional and know Mercedes. If you own a Mercedes take it here, trust me. I know enough about cars from working on them a little bit over the years. Gus is honest and has earned a lifetime customer! Oh he changed the air filters which no other shop did! The car runs like a dream now and I can’t say thank you enough!!!

I now own a 1996 SL320, and had a check engine light to figure out. I have had clients that used Salims Silver Star Automotive for their vehicles, so I called. Best mercedes repairs than a dealer

Where do I start?! My car was taken to Salim’s a week and 1/2 ago and I’m just now getting it back.. not fixed, no answers as to what was wrong with it, NOTHING! I called several times for updates and they kept saying they were still trying to figure it out. When I came to pick it up I didn’t sign any paperwork and they barely said anything about the car. It just seemed very sketch to me that you ONLY WORK on Mercedes Benz but you couldn’t fix mine? I’d never bring my car back here or recommend them. I wish I could give them no stars.

Outstanding service start to finish! Amanda took care of everything up front and the proposal I received verbally was exactly what I paid (which, by the way, was 30% lower than the dealership). Gus came out and went over everything he did and made sure I was satisfied with the repair. Mercedes dealership had already taken a crack at fixing the issue and it re-broke within a day. I was charged a good amount of labor for that fix, then told it would be an additional $xxx.00. Salims was well under that and the fix was done right the first time. Add a loyal customer to the books!UPDATE: Still a huge fan! Have returned for service and every time they are more than fair and the highest in quality. Tremendous business!

She lies to customers on military discount is applied... she does apply sometimes, but not always. I dont have a problem with not discount just be honest and dont be rude and unprofessional. Salims has taken care of my car for 15 years and Ive never had a problem with their work. Gus amazes me with what he knows about Mercedes cars. Hes like a walking service manual. Do not do business at this location. You might think you are getting a good deal at a cheap cost. Look at all the parts cars he has around the shop those were once customers cars!!!!! I traded him a 95 s420 to repair another 95 s420 I had. Waited for months w no repairs done. Bye the time I came to get my car it had already been parted out missing tailights and trunk. Gus is a talker and will act like he cares but hes just there to RIP people off I hate to say it go there on your own risk. Both my cars are still there completely parted out!!! my cars luckily were not worth alot of money but money to me none the less. I could not imagine taking my 3 figure Mercedes to him for anything. As the other comments say, if i could give this place zero stars i would, very rushed and nobody there has any people skills. Rather then being able to explain what’s wrong with my car the lady at the front insisted to hand over my keys and we’d talk about the car issues later, after taking my keys out of my hand and walking away i had to follow her outside before getting any answers of what was going to be done too my car.They look at my car in the parking spot, say there’s nothing wrong with my car with the check engine light still on but sending me on my way. I never need to worry about anything when we take our vehicles to Salims. And I mean not a single thing. I tried Salims for the first time a few months ago. The prices were fair, and the work was done promptly. In addition to the mechanical work, I needed a front license plate holder. Salims found a matching holder from another vehicle and did the work for $100 less than Mercedes was going to charge.

The staff is very pleasant and they work very responsibly. My only issue is pricing. My car needed to have the serpentine belt replaced to which they wanted to charge me $485 plus tax. This is not to mention that I would need a tow truck that will probably charge me $90 to take it. Were talkin about almost $600 for a belt change! I bought the belt for $30 at AutoZone, and I had my old mechanic come to my house and change the belt for $50!

If I could give this place no stars I would. I have never dealt with a business that could care less about customer service or being professional in my life. My vehicle was with Salims for over a month and half and no work was done outside of telling me what was wrong. Over the month and a half my vehicle was with them, every piece of communication was initiated by me. They do not return calls when they say they will and you are lucky if you even get to speak to Gus to get real answers after he tells you whats initially wrong. It wasnt until a month into them supossidly working on my car did they try to tell me they were backed up due to jail two months prior. Because of their delays my insurance rental car coverage expired and they werent even willing to cover half of the cost for continued rental. After a month and a half of poor communication and what felt like an ever changing excuse, I moved my car to Aspen Auto Clinic. This place was absolutely amazing and fixed my car in two weeks. They were proactive with communication and true professionals in customer service. Needles to say, I will not be going back to Salims. If you value customer service and communication, you will think twice about using them as well.

Just won a court judgement against Gus for $1325. His court defense was that he never had stored my 380SL hardtop. The judge saw right through him. Gus deals in after-market parts sales. Get it?

Im not sure why more people arent complaining when I have heard several complaints about the way Gus - main mechanic/owners son chooses to do business. My personal experience has been awful. To make a long story short I was sold a Mercedes ML350 and I asked for an inspection to be done. Within thirty minutes I was given a false inspection report saying my vehicle had passed with flying colors although it was never even inspected - the seller and Gus were buddies. So of course my vehicle started acting up almost immediately and Gus had it sitting in his lot for weeks before it was even looked at. The inspection alone took two days which is why a thirty minute inspection wasnt even possible. When I got it back the total came out to $250 more than I was quoted the following day and that same day it broke down again. Once again he had it for weeks before getting it back and now once again its acting the same. When I asked if he could look at it he chose to deny me service saying he cant seem to please me although it shouldnt be a personal issue it should be about my car being fixed especially when I payed for it to be done.I called Aspen Auto Clinic to fix my car and it was a minor fix that Gus could never seem to figure out - literally cost me less than $50. The funny thing Gus said the issue Im having must be above him!!! The guys at Aspen mentioned they have many people complaining about him....thats why Im perplexed as to why more people at earning others about him.I also spoke with someone who did they bought a Mercedes from Gus and was over charged thousands of dollars.BE CAREFUL!!

This guy is so damn rude and shady. Broke parts on my car intentionally while he was fixing something else so he could charge me for more repairs. When i called him out he tried to fight me.

Took my CL600 into Salims for suspension issues from pothole damage. Salims repaired the hydraulic suspension and I paid cash as it was below my deductible. They told me it had to go to Jacks Alignment to be aligned. I immediately made an appointment at Jacks and they could not align the car because the back end was Tacod. It took them about 15 seconds to notice this. I took the car home and called Salims. They said they did not notice the rear end and to bring it back to them. Being busy at the time I garaged the car and when I went to take it back to them the control arm snapped while driving and dropped the whole rear end of the car to the ground. Had the car towed to Salims August 17th. My insurance company Farmers is amazing and has approved all repairs. Yet here I sit still to this day (Jan 27th), 5 1/2 months later, with no car and nothing but excuses. They have never called me about anything. Anytime I have spoke to them it has been me calling them. Last time I went there to check on the car, the tires were flat and the passenger door was open. Not unlocked but open. Looked like this $120,000.00 MSRP car was ready to go to the crusher. They are all very nice people but I would rather deal with a jerk that gets the job done than nice people who jerk you around with a smile. Not only has this taken forever but Im out the money for the initial repairs that should have been included in the insurance claim but Salims missed the repairs needed. Will update this review as I find out what happens with my car. Being born and raised here and owning a local family business of my own, I like to support local family run businesses but not at this cost.Update 2/8/16: Once again after calling have gotten to response or call back. Today I called and they said because of the snow they cant get to the car. Our snow storm was a week ago!!!! I said I want a date and they told me if I want a date I should just come get the car. Guess What. Im getting the car. Pathetic!!!!!!! Update 2/18/16 Well Farmers sent a tow truck to get the car and the driver called me before and after. He said (laughing), one of the mechanics told him that they couldnt figure our how to get the car on the lift because the control arm was broken. I guess the tow truck driver told him that Its Colorado, all I do is tow cars for suspension problems and no other garage has this issue I laughed and told him he has a $50 gift certificate to my establishment (which he used the next night). It has been a week with a holiday weekend and I already have my car back from Mercedes.

Sold me a Porsche 993 Targa as gorgeous, like brand new. When the car arrived, it had only one key, no invoices, no service booklet, no manua! And that for a collectors car!But the following things defects were found:clutch defect (27.000 mls)servo steering defectAir vent defectTarga Roof does not really close (very loud wind sounds)No services ever been madeLots of cables under the carpets (what a piece of handicraft!)Stereo speakers defectcar had been repainted by dablers (lots of drops and enclosures)!I had to invest over 10.000 (even without a professional repaint!) just to make the car run!Jed Charles lied to me on the phone and per email everytime I contacted him! This guy cannot be trusted! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS CROOK!

This is the place you are looking for. Ignore the few bad reviews, walk in the shop for yourself and youll see more personal thank you letters hanging on the walls than youve ever seen before anywhere.

I learned the hard way that if you have a Mercedes and something is wrong with it, it pays to tow it to these fiolks for repairs if you cant drive it, no matter the extra expense, I should have found a way to get my car there instead of where I took it to the first time.
