We’ve been avid shoppers if restore for years. Mostly the Fresno store when they opened a few years ago.For the last few weeks I’ve been trying to donate to the restore because I had a lot of building materials from when my father passed away a few years ago.I finally reached someone this morning at the Clovis store. I wanted to make sure they would take my donation. The person answering seemed more than eager. I mentioned I was coming from Madera to Fresno. He said we’ll take what you have.I got to Clovis and had to wait as there was an accident in the parking lot and I had to wait for room to be offloaded. Finally was able to be offloaded. In the midst of offloading one of the guys from inside came out and said stop we can’t take any more. Only about a third was taken. I said wait you said when I called you would take it all. He said sorry “Sweetie” the Madera store and Fresno store are closing and we have to receive their inventory. I said there’s really not much left here. He walked away with his back turned to me and said can’t take it.I would have rather just given it away to a handyman than drive 49 miles for that. My time, gas and donation…. And the lack of appreciation was overwhelming. The ego of the guy and the audacity in today’s climate to call me sweetie.

The reStore can go both ways with their inventory. Think Fred Sanford (if youre old enough) at one end and a small town thrift store at the other. I will say that when you shop there, I would be very surprised if you didnt find a great bargain! I know I did..This couch: $40. The swivel rocker: $25. And I picked up a dining room light for $10 that had to originally retail at $150. Go check it out.

Do not volunteer here ever because they are so unorganized and so unprofessional. The front staff Ivy and Eduardo just sit on their phones in the office and offer no help to customers or volunteers with questions. They only scramble to work when it gets busy or the boss is about.

I wont ever buy anything from this store again!!!!

Best place to shop for great deals on almost anything home depot sells. This is a second hand goods store so you cant always find exactly what you need, but I stop there first every time I go to a hardware store just to see what they have. Last time I picked up hundreds of irrigation pieces, sprinkler heads and PVC connectors, all for under 30 dollars.

Disappointed. Went to check for a window blind. Found one, not exact, but close, they wanted to charge me extra for the little brackets that hold the blind. Yes, the brackets that hold the blind. Have you ever tried to buy pants and in the process they say you must pay to the pockets too?. Unbelievable! The worst part, not too long ago, we donated a whole bunch of left over material, doors, toilets, etc. to Restore from a renovation. These people are scamming their customer. No more donations from our family to this place and hopefully you dont donate anything to them either.

In trying to donate several items, I found the staff very rude and not helpful. A scheduled pick up was suppose to occur in the morning. I called after the pick up window time expired and was told he wasnt coming because he didnt start work until a later time. I wasnt notified he wasnt coming, he just wasnt going to show up. He said he could come later, but wouldnt give a time. Im just suppose to wait all day and see if he shows up. The store could have much more to offer if it wasnt so difficult to donate to.
