10 out of 10! I love the whole experience at Clarkson. Dr. Kuhlman is always thorough and very personable. The sales staff worked with my insurance plan to deliver the best pair of glasses at a fantastic price. Excellent attention to cleanliness and safety protocols all around!

A well oiled machine- staff was friendly, organized, knowledgable and efficient. Office was clean and comfortable- the exam was thorough and done in a timely manner- Dr. K was great., well schooled, had a comfortable, caring, professional manner, took his time with me, answering all questions. Clarkson Eyecare in Mariemont has all the latest tech, bells and whistles yet reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Dr. Kuhlman is just wonderful-- while I could walk to several other optometrists and ophthalmologists on my own street, I choose to drive to Mariemont because hes so thorough, pleasant, helpful, and updated with the newest and best technology to make sure my vision is the best it can be. His bedside manner is one of the best Ive encountered.

Accommodating staff. Competent. Good product selection and guidance. Two minor complaints: paperwork and health questionnaire was almost intrusive. Technician automatically tried to perform a test that I had declined in writing. All that paperwork hasnt been reviewed.

The staff here has always been friendly and professional. Dr. Kuhlman strikes me as an honest, intelligent, and nice guy. No complaints. I get my contacts here every year.

Clarkson is one the best Eyecare centers on the Eastside of town. Ive been going to them for the past 5 to 10 yrs. I have been going to Clarkson Eyecare for years and having to write this review saddens me. I had an eye appointment at this location in September of 2018 and was under an insurance that covered the majority of my visit. However, the billing was not processed until 4 months after my visit and my insurance had changed. I then received a bill of over $350 dollars and immediately noticed Clarkson of what was going on. They told me that the doctor would get back in contact with me to see if anything could be done. After not hearing back I tried contacting the location again but received no update on the situation. My bill was then sent to a creditor who charged me over $400 dollars. I do not understand why this happened this way but I hope no one else has to go through a situation like this.

Great experience. The staff was unbelievably friendly and also incredibly knowledgeable. I was in and out quickly yet I absolutely did not feel rushed. I was confused as to the extent my insurance would cover but they cleared up all the confusion and were able to fully explain everything. The only knock I have is they dont carry Oakley.

I went to Dr. Kuhlman and Mariemont Eyecare for several years before moving to a different part of the city. I was always very happy with him and with the glasses I got there for myself and my kids. Since we moved, I tried a couple places closer to home but have decided to go back - its definitely worth the drive to go to someone you can trust. :)

I previously had gone to the one in Kenwood and to say I was disappointed is an understatement-mostly because of the snarky reception people who didn’t want to look for my contacts rebate form, much less print out my prescription. BUT I realized there was a newer Clarkson closer to my house with many positive reviews so I thought I’d give Clarkson one more chance. I’m glad I did! The store is bright, cheery, and EVERYONE from the front reception to the tech to Dr Kuhlman was incredibly nice and welcoming. I previously made an appointment and was in and out in no time. The fact they have a machine instead of using those heinous dilation drops is reason enough to go here. I will without a doubt go back next year when I am due for my exam.
