I usually steer clear of Michigan Ave but I’m a big fan of timberland shoes and came in here to try on shoes and return a pair gifted to me over the holidays. The staff were very friendly but in no way overbearing and definitely helpful. I really appreciate their approach and that they don’t push you to buy anything. I much prefer this location to the Skokie one.

Waited to check out with 3 members of staff and no customers and everyone ignoring us. One service member started checking out the purchase of the other member and still haven’t acknowledged us or asked us to wait. When asked the staff member what was up with that, she was defensive and aggressive in her response stating she can’t cancel the transaction once it’s started. That’s cool, but could’ve been different

You know those employees that you can tell actually want to help you, Miguel is one of those guys. Needed to exchange a 13 boot for a 14. They didnt have it on stock. Miguel made me feel like my problem was his problem too. Great customer service

Love the curbside location of this store on the mile. Easily accessible and close to other popular stores. These guys here are really helpful. They gave me their advice on different boots for different seasons and helped me get the right size. The selection here covered almost everything. But be warned their selections in store are mostly seasonal so timing is everything. Taxes on purchases are a little higher compared to online, but thats because its b&m and you get good service from the people here.

These guys are great. They are very helpful but not pushy at all. I hate pushy retail. They make sure you don’t need help at the moment and then they just make sure they are visible in case you do. Very friendly.

Amazing staff that went above and beyond to provide great customer service.I was here last night to exchange a pair of boots Id bought online. Unfortunately the store didnt carry my style, but their inventory showed they had one pair (from a return) that was in stock. The staff checked through the storage twice for me to find those boots. Also gave me some helpful tips on how to break in my boots.

Bought two of my favorite pair of boots here and they still look as good as they did since day one. Great quality boots, shoes, and clothing for men and women. Also, I love that their styles change with the season and you can always find something fresh. Will definitely be back! ☺

Staff are pretty friendly but sometimes seem to get busy doing other things and forget about grabbing your shoe size. The selection in store is decent. I recommend trying shoes on in-store before purchasing for the first time because the material and shape makes my timbs size much different from my sneaker size

Came here looking for a very specific boot that they didnt happen to have (it was well-reviewed on Amazon, perhaps an older version). The salesperson brought out a similar boot with the features I needed and a style I liked. Great experience.

Great store with plenty of options for those long Windy City winters. If this is your first winter in Chicago, youll want to swing by this store for sure. Right on Michigan Ave, and theyve got a great staff to help find the perfect pick. Love my boots and (cant believe Im saying this) cant wait for winter.

I bought some clothes from Timberland, and later wanted to return them. The sales person, I believe her name was Monica, told me that they wouldnt take my items for a return since they were sold at a sale price and could only exchange. This left a bad taste in my mouth because thats such a stupid policy, and overall I feel like I wasted my money. She seemed unwilling to help me out, even while I was browsing for items to exchange. Eventually, I found an item I wanted to exchange. While checking out she made sure she subscribed me to Timberland newsletter. She didnt even ask if I wanted to sign up, but she did anyways. So now I get unwanted emails all the time from Timberland that basically reinforce this bad experience. I probably wont end up wearing these clothes and will have to try to sell them on eBay to get my money back. Not to mention theres no parking and that was also a lot of money and I was only there for 30 minutes. Overall terrible experience and will probably never buy or wear Timberland again.

Nice store on the Michigan Ave. The store closes at 5 but you can stay a little longer to finish your purchase. Boots there are high quality and worth buying.

Clothes and shoes are great, but the staff really dont care about you. We left the store after 15 minutes of any support, besides we known exactly what we were looking to buy. Disappointing :(

The store didnt let me exchange the boots, the internal wasnt manufactured well and hurt my left foot. I went there and the cashier said the boots had been worn once and cannot be sold. But the point is the boots have problem and cannot be a merchandise anymore.I really dont like this store!!

IWore the gloves for the first time and now They look like they should be tossed in the trash. Poor service. I stood with a shoe in my hand for 5 to 10 mins in a virtually empty store while the girl there was folding scarfs. I left without purchasing anything.

The woman who helped me was arrogant and unfriendly, I left the store with my mood spoiled and decided not to shop there anymore.

Super attentive and friendly staff. They took note of the shoes we needed and brought them to us quickly from the warehouse despite the store being so full. In addition, a worker, having no available size, took the shoes off a mannequin so that we could try on that model and size.

YESTERDAY I WAS IN THIS STORE AT THAT OF 8:30 PM APPROXIMATELY, I ARRIVED WITH MY COUSIN THAT IT FOUND TO VISIT IN CHICAGO AND I ASKED THAT I WOULD TAKE IT TO THIS STORE TO BUY A LOT OF BOOTS. ON ARRIVING AT THIS STORE, TWO EMPLOYEES ARE FOUND A GENTLEMAN AND A LADY WHOSE EVER WERE GREETING HIM, I MADE TO THE LADY AND SHOWED A PHOTO OF A BOOTS THAT WAS LOOKING FOR AND ANSWERS THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THAT IN INVENTORY THAT WILL SEARCH THEM ONLINE . ACT FOLLOWED BY MY COUSIN WHO CAME TO CHICAGO FROM PUERTO RICO AND WHO DOES NOT SPEAK ENGLISH CONTINUES TO SAY THAT I ASKED FOR ONE AND ANOTHER BOOTS, CONTINUED TALKING WITH THE EMPLOYEE BUT I NOTICE THAT THE EMPLOYEE UNDERSTANDS ALL THAT MY COUSIN IS SAYING TO ME IN SPANISH SO I ASKED HER IN ENGLISH. IT IS WHEN I PROCEED TO ASK THE EMPLOYEE IF SHE SAID SPANISH BECAUSE I SEE THAT YOU UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING THAT MY COUSIN IS SAYING TO ME; WHAT THE EMPLOYEE ANSWERS TO ME THAT IF, THAT SHE UNDERSTANDS AND SPEAKS SPANISH BUT WE ARE IN AMERICA AND THAT SHE DID NOT LIKE TO SPEAK IN SPANISH AND THAT OTHER PEOPLE WILL HEAR IT SPEAKING IN SPANISH.
