Great store if you are looking for good customer service. If you want an actual jacket than you might as well go online, they have literally nothing but the things no one else wanted.. quite a shame when compared to other cities

Great location and helpful staff. I met a gentleman thatvshit working hard to become a Chicago police officer. He was really helpful and great at customer service. I didnt catch his name but good luck buddy!!! We need more compassionate officers!!

This store is neat. They carry the Chicago specific North Face clothing. Park under the mall. It’s a quick walk to the North Face store from there. Hopefully you get to meet Ranko - he helped us check out. Super nice person and has interesting tattoos. This was a pretty solid North Face trip

I recently went to a North Face store for the first time instead of going through a third party seller. I didn’t know what to expect, or any of the products available other than the casual sweater I always get. There was a very helpful employee by the name of Ranko. I explained to him it was my first time going to a North Face Store, and he was extremely helpful! He explained all the products North Face has to offer, and even gave his own insights on which product would fit me best. I will definitely be going to this store more often, and it’s all because of this amazing first experience I had with that gentleman Ranko. Keep making amazing products North Face, and keep more people like him around!

Excellent customer service. Staff whom prompt their attention and cater quickly to questions from North Face patrons. A place that priorities exceeding expectations of their shopping experience. They have sexy hiking apparel for females and masculine fashion that make a nice statement for the vogue of our days. The selection from their mountain climbing attires to luggage and boots makes me want to spin the globe and make way to explore uncharted territories.Repeat customer

Store is decent. Have 30% plus 10% off on older models. Most of them are already gone but still some left.NOTE: Lifetime warranty is very hard to claim. Stores don’t accept warranty returns. Even though life time warranty is available, North Face expects you to make a pre paid return at your own expenses and needs 4-8 weeks to repair the coat or make a decision on replacing. And they don’t accept the returns if coat is not cleaned. We don’t know what level of cleanliness is expected.

I visited to buy a new jacket. Their collection was pretty average. I am not sure if it was because of the season or some other reason. Prices were also pretty high, probably because there was no significant discount going on.

I was there because my hotel was nearby, i went in with the intention of just looking around but thanks to Mike I got the best service ever and found an adorable shirt.Thanks, Mike. Keep up the great work

We went to buy a gift for my father, and everyone was so helpful and friendly.

Great winter gear but they are frequently low stocked or out of stock. Perhaps a sign of the times with more people buying on line. After visiting the store I had to buy gloves on line.

The store is focused on customer service expertly and the staff is super friendly and unpretentious. The experience I had was superb in every way.

The quality made material on their apparel is quite warm insulated.

I did not care for this location, not many choices in clothing sizes. The merchandise was very limited, extremely 😞 disappointed!

Nice experience, helpful staff. I stayed nearly an hour after closing the shop, nice to have the entire shop to ourselves. The staff took care of us and didnt rush us. Very pleased with the service. So far am happy with the products too!

There was this manager named Jimmy and he was very disrespectful and offensive. We came in to bring a north face jacket to exchange. First he said it should have never been worn which it never was. Then he said it’s smelly even though it was never worn. He absolutely refused north face’s exchange and return policy. I feel as though we were racially profiled against because of our ethnicity. He definitely needs instructional training in customer service. Absolute disappointment. After experiencing this encounter I never want to shop with north face again!!!

Warranty yes.... 8/10 weeks to maybe get it backAnd there may or may not be a charge. First coat was replaced and now second coat looks like.....Wont EVER buy another North Face coat!

This two story retail store carries large and different categories of north face products includes kids/baby.Sales staffs are pretty kind and you can find things easily as I feel they organize it pretty well.I feel it is not easy to find simple and well protected face cover for the Chicago wind for the winter. I found one from this store - second floor mens section.During the month of February, it is additional 20% off on all of sales item. enjoy!

I am a big supporter of the North Face brand and the mission they have. I very often shop with them and I visit a store whenever possible. Normally I would give North Face a five-star rating. After visiting the North Face store on Michigan Avenue, my view of this brand has been tainted. I asked not only one, but two different associates for help finding pants. Both of them completely ignored my partner and I. One of them even said hello when we entered, but when we clearly and obviously asked for help, we were ignored. On both occasions we were looked straight in the eye, our presence clearly acknowledged, but then ignored for no apparent reason. This was not a good experience for us. In my opinion no sales representative should act in this way, ignoring customers who are there for a reason. Because of this treatment, I did not support North Face today, and I will not be supporting the North Face store on Michigan Avenue again.

This is one of the stores around in a major city, which allows you to get some quality stuff, with some great staff who are not only patient, but also capable. It is easy to get to, being in the heart of the city, and the products themselves are of a 5 star quality

Limited selection of mens winter coats and the kid on the floor kept calling me buddy, which is annoying cause Im probably about 10 years his senior. Better to just order online and return to the store if it doesnt fit correctly or you dont like it. I will say the womens section downstairs had a much bigger selection of coats and everything in general.

I used to be able to buy a whole outfit here. They dont carry a lot of items anymore. Hard to compete with online when they dont have have a variety of stock. Disappointed

Great shop in downtown. I love this brand and feel happy with North Face jacket and Proudly still using jacket (4 yrs).

The store was clean and organized but there was far too many people working. My fiance and I were looking around the store and multiple sales associates asked us how we were doing one about every two mins. Then I was asking the associate in shoes about which ones would be good for someone who is on their feet all day while at work. He pointed to different shoes with his feet, because his hands were too busy behind his back, and told me maybe these would be good. I would have most likely tried on shoes but because of his attitude we just walked out without buying anything.

Haha. One salesman who worked there talked me about Black Friday deal down to 50%off after 6am and some hours but nothing to happen. I feel I am stupid. And why did they open so earlier? Some racks only 25%. Is that enough to sale on Black Friday? They could open regular hour for like that sale percentage.

This store has the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. While I was browsing the store for a jacket to give to my boyfriend, one the reps felt like she needed to guide me over to the womens section. Since when does it matter what Im buying and from what section? I later placed an order online to be picked up in-store. I called on 3 separate days to see if it was delivered and I got nothing but attitude from the people who answered. I cancelled the order and spent my money across the street at Columbia instead for a jacket of higher quality and was treated well by the staff. Avoid this crappy store at all costs.

Very nice staff , I was shopping there and when I left I lost my phone .. went back to the store and an employee there her name is Marianne was extremely helpful and and she actually used her own phone to locate my phone , honestly wasnt a big fan of this store but after I saw how professional and helpful this lady was Ill always go there if I need winter stuff .

Went to fix my expensive jacket. The jackets from The North Face have life time warranty. Normal wear and tear acceptable cant rip and take it. Customer service was top notch.

I wish I could rate it at 2.5 stars. I love North Face products, and they do have practically everything in this store. My problem is with the employees that work here. I came in to buy a pair of hiking shoes that I loved in amazon (I ended up buying them in amazon due to price) and a backpack that I bought at the store cause it had 25% discount. I love both products!My rating is 2.5 stars since I was attended by a very angry and mean employee. I wasnt able to catch his name due to the bad experience. When I decided that from the three same model back packs that they had in sale that I liked that I wanted the one they had in display filled with bags since I believed that it not only looked nicer, but that the stitched Recon model on the front and the stitched The North Face logo seemed of better quality he immediately said that he wouldnt take the filling out of the back pack just because i wanted that one. He started talking at me in a very angry manner that they were all the same (of course they are, but I grabbed all three and thought that the backpack I wanted was that one) and that he wouldnt work extra I guess emptying it and filling the next one. I guess its very hard work! It wasnt until a colleague of him came and said shed do it that he decided to part some other way talking out loud in a friendly manner how stupid I was.This guy, an Obese 30-45 year old man was extremely rude. I wasnt going to buy it anymore if it werent for my girlfriend that told me to buy it since Id still have the backpack I wanted even though this guy ruined my purchase. Ive waited a week to write this review to not be biased with hate. Itd be amazing if The North Face controlled which employees they hire. This man was exceptionally rude, Im the paying customer... I should be treated as such.

After the TSA/American Airlines wrecked my brand new bag before I began my camping trip, I went to North Face after leaving the airport. A few crucial pieces of the bag were missing - although Id wait for repair services if it was the end of the trip - they were able to help exchange the bag for the same model and help me fit it! Definitely a kind gesture after a potentially frustrating situation! Staff knowledgeable and helpful.

DESPICABLE customer service when calling. When dialing 1 for a Women & Childrens associate or 4 for any other inquires, they ALL answer the receiver, yet they ALL (regardless of any option chosen) place the receiver down so you can hear them gossip/talk and then hang up the receiver after a few seconds. I was just calling to inquire on an item before making the hour drive. At times in stock items online are not always accurate. It was very disappointing after trying a handful of times, only to have the aforementioned occur. Dont bother calling the number listed.

The customer service is horrible. I went to the 2nd floor of this store for assistance no one was available. I look over near the register saw three employees having conversation walk over near that area looking for an item and still neither of the employees acknowledge me nor ask if I need assistance. I told the Manager on duty at the time who seems to not really care. I will be reporting this to corporate as well. DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON THIS STORE

Love the jackets but hate the service - There are plenty of people who work there but somehow they don;t like helping you. I think Ive been there 30 times in the past year and think only a few times they actiually said something to me. - I ended up bying the jackets online because the online help asked if I needed any help.Im running out of jackets to buy from North Face - so you better up the customer service or I will have to buy another brand like Columbia - which is across the street from North Face.

I recommend going here instead of buying north face stuff from Macys, Nordstrom or elsewhere.

Place is nice and clean. Associates are friendly but to many of them there when not busy and asking every 2 secs if you are ok. Gets to be a little annoying. Fiance asked guys on shoe area for shoe advice and when showing him he kept his hands behind his back and pointed to shoes to suggest with his feet in a lazy unprofessional manner. Not really impressed with that specific associate.
