This is what every service business should be. They did a great job at a great price. Honest craftsmanship is evident from the minute you drive in. The owner is an example of everything that is good about America. Hes built an admirable, successful business over 23 years. They were efficient and clearly enjoy the work theyre doing. I had a great time watching and chatting with them as they worked. You wouldnt think this of a trip to an exhaust repair shop, but I had a great time there.

Quick, Easy, and really cheap no frills repair. Good value. Have a 20 year old Saab with an exhaust system in really bad shape. Instead of quoting me $400-$800 for a total replacement system, they were able to piece together and patch up what was there already for half the price. Might not be the most extensive or through repair, but I got exactly what I needed for the right price. Would definitely go back again and recommend to others.

I cant say enough great things about this place. My catalytic converter was stolen out of my prius two nights ago and for someone who commutes to the suburbs this was a disaster. After calling several places around the lake view area i was getting quoted upwards of 1300 to replace it. I called value plus mufflers and they quoted me less then half of that. They also got my car done in less then 2 hours and fixed another part just because they saw it was leaking. As a young female who knows nothing about cars i appreciate them so much for not taking advantage of my lack of knowledge and giving me a fair price. They also show you everything they did and why they did it when you pick it up! I will be a life long customer and I will be recommending them to all of my friends and family.

This place rocks so hard. Can’t recommend enough. My tail pipe had broken off from the catalytic converter. Dealership wouldn’t do anything except replace the entire thing. Took it to this place and I was there less than 15 minutes with everything fixed and it only cost 60 dollars. Unreal.

Just left that place with a quick patch up work on my muffler for a great cost. Other places tried to replace my converter or offered to patch it up for 3x the cost. There’s a bit of a language barrier but the person explained it well by just showing me what needs to be done.

When my Prius catalytic converter was stolen, a chain auto service quoted me $2,000 to fix it. Value Plus Mufflers quoted me $650 and made the repair in one day. So far my car is running well--but if anything falls through, Value Plus gave me a one-year warranty. Im super happy with how this turned out despite the unfortunate circumstances.

Found my muffler ripped off my car after hitting a speed bump. Called these guys 10 minutes before they closed and asked if I could make an appointment for tomorrow - given the 3 other shops I called said I had to have one before they could even give me an estimate. They chuckled hearing this, gave me a rough quote and told me to just stop by with the car whenever.Arrived at 8:30 AM next day (right when they open) and they had my car on the lift with him and I underneath it by 8:31 AM. They not only showed me exactly what happened, but what exactly they were going to do to my car. When I asked how long this was going to take, he said Im gonna do it right now! - turns around and starts welding it in, RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!Papers signed, money exchanged, and out the door by 8:45am and not a minute later. The quality of the work they did exceeds expectations by far. If you do not come here, you are making a big mistake.

When my regular mechanic tells me I need to replace my muffler and it will be $500+, it was tough to hear. I have an honest cheaper than the dealer mechanic who warranty’s everything. However this time my father pitched a place he had been to with my mother years ago. Thank goodness I listened to my fathers advice and checked out Value Plus Mufflers. Yes its small, yes there are no frills but they are honest, quick, and economical- traits that beat free bad coffee and tv. My $500+ ordeal was only $45 to fix. The mechanic put my car up on the lift, showed me the issue and 20 minutes later: cut the pipe, replaced, sealed the flange that broke off and I was ready to go. He showed me the work he did and my baby runs like it should.I asked the owner if it was only a muffler shop, and he said. He has since expanded to emissions, brakes etc. He told me to bring my car in and if they could fix it ---they would.Wonderful work and great personalities ---not something you find in an auto shop.And PS never a diagnostic charge. Pretty awesome.

Went in today to get my flex pipe replaced. Was in and out in 30 minutes. Quoted me $100 dollars over the phone (a third the price quoted to me elsewhere), and that’s exactly what I paid. They even threw in some new hangers for my exhaust pipe. All the guys were very nice. Will definitely return for work in the future.

Great Experience with this shop! I knew I had a whole in the muffler. They got me right in and instead of trying to sell me a whole new system they patched the whole in 5 minutes for next to nothing. Absolutely recommend this shop for muffler repair.

These guys knew what was wrong as soon as they saw my car outside. Obviously have seen same issue before on model. Exhaust pipe broke just downstream of resonator at the flange weld. Took my car in right away, chopped off flanges and about 4-6 downstream. Welded on a pup piece. Done. $50. Solid job. Super friendly. Highly recommended.

Best 80 bucks I ever spent. Dealer said it would cost over 1000 to replace the pipe leading to the catalytic converter but this shop fixed it with $80. It took less than an hour. It is fantastic. Great job!

Called Value Plus Mufflers on Sunday and told them what kind of car I have, they gave me a fair price over the phone, with a $20.00 more or less, depending on the work and if the old parts come off easy, I was in and out within 1 hour and it only cost $160.00, when most places wanted more. I would Highly recommend this place for any Muffler issue you may have at a very fair price. Good Place.

Small shop, and great service. The folks working there are up front and honest, and are great at explaining whats going on with the vehicle, if it needs something more than what you came in for. Have been there multiple times for exhaust work on multiple vehicles, and always have left greatly satisfied with the quality of their work.

These guys are the best. I found them about 7 years ago. They are honest and only fix what is needed. There Prices are better than name brand places. They also have a great mechanic how can fix pretty much anything.

Ive dealt with many different mechanics for random things and this was the best service Ive ever had in 10 years. The pipe going to my exhaust had severed and my car was SO loud. They showed me exactly where the break was and welded a new piece- I was out of there in 30 minutes!!!!!!! And it was only $60!!! And it comes with a one year warranty!!!! I loved that he was showing me where it had broken because every time I ask questions I get looked at like Im crazy, like I should just let them do work and shut up. Would 120% recommend this place!!! Dont go anywhere else for mufflers problems! I wish they did more than mufflers and oil.

Its a good, cheap place to get your muffler work done. 2nd time Ive been there, both times very satisfied. So get this. My clutch was sticking on my corvette after having some muffler work done. The guy said pop the hood. He put brake fluid in and it fixed it (temporarily). Pretty awesome

These guys are amazing. Seriously. My 99 4runner exhaust was rusting out on some areas so that it was making real loud noise. They welded cut out the rusted section and welded in a fresh piece and saved me huge $$ compared to the cost of having to replace the entire exhaust system. Highly Recommend!!

Came to Chicago for a gig and developed BIG noise on the way. Read great things about this place and it was nearby so I came over. Within 10 seconds of starting up the van, Misa (sp) had told me it wasnt the exhaust system but I had lost a spark plug. He also noticed I was short one hanger on the exhaust system. I asked if he could do the plug fix and he said yes. As it turned out, there was a bigger problem and he could not install the replacement parts. He made sure I could get the vehicle safely back downstate and only charged me for installing the hanger. Id have gladly paid for the time he put into the other job. When I do need an exhaust system, Ill drive back up here so these guys can do it! THANK YOU!

Thought I needed a new muffler, instead just a small spot weld did the trick on a loose cover that was rattling around. They didnt charge me and gave me a beer while I waited. These guys are great.

They do great muffler work, but I brought my truck in for a stalling issue, they swapped a part and hurried me out the door. It stalled on my way home, kinda wished they would have told me before taking 250 out of my pocket. Recommend but only for muffler work.

I decided to check this shop out based on reviews but maybe I didnt somehow qualify for the ascribed discounts others have claimed. Its time for an emission test for my daughters 2001 Nissan Xterra and shes getting a P0430 code which may indicate the bank 2 catalytic converter. After inquiring about having the bank 2 converter(s) replaced I was quoted $600 and upsold that I should spend $1200 to replace both sides...cause the other one is likely on the way out too. Maybe it is, but for a 15 year old vehicle, probably one major repair away from the junkyard, my only goal is to get it past this emissions test and keep it on the road as inexpensively as possible. Not spend an additional $600 for a potential repair down the road.I mentioned installing a much cheaper universal converter but he pushed the more expensive (and profitable) direct fit ones. I have some experience in having a universal catalytic converter installed on my 2002 Subaru at another muffler shop (a bit of a drive for me) at a considerable discount as compared to the a direct fit converter. I know it can be done if the shop is really trying to save you money...which this particular individual (muffler shop) was not.

Just got a second car done by these guys, and there is a reason I drive an hour out! You wont find anyone who does a better job than here ! Both times they installed a full exhaust system in an hour or less and they both look and sound better than the original parts!

I got a faux pipe done here and it’s gone bad on me they gave me a 1 year warranty and told that it’s alot of work and they didn’t know if they could accommodate me after they botched job I paid 380 dollars for something not to work I got the job done January 25 2018 and another mechanic took a look and said they did a botched up job and to go back to them so I call them and ask them can they accommodate me and get my truck out and he said we don’t know if it’s gonna be out I’m so tired of them I’m going to small claims court
