I came here and everyone was so nice and warm. They have a wide variety of tasty looking food but I ordered a Chai and it was cozy and comforting. They have dog treats too! I plan on coming back here and trying more!

DONT PATRONIZE THIS STORE. They work with “Innovative Parking Solutions LLC” to scam people by booting your car and making you pay $170 to get it off. Despite there being no other cars parked in the lot and leaving your car for less than a minute. The parking attendant waits there to catch people leaving the lot. Would never eat at this place that preys on people in the community. (Sure, may be justifiable if parking were tight or an issue, BUT IT’S NOT).

I found a hair in my gelato a few days ago. I work down the street and thought Id treat myself since the weather was getting warmer but moments later I noticed hair in my gelato and instantly threw it away. If it means anything, the gelato wasnt very good anyway (not terrible, but not all that...). Please avoid this place, it doesnt seem very clean.

This place has great gelato but it is never open! They just finished remodeling (and were closed for a year) and were open for about two weeks and now they’re closed again for renovations! I wouldn’t waste my time coming unless you know for sure they’re open.

A cute little gelato and coffee shop. There was music from the 1920s playing when we were there last summer.2 ships of gelato were $3.99, sundaes 6.99, shakes and floats $6-$6.75. Prices are very reasonable.#CityExperts. @Localguides

When you can actually get in, the gelato is great. Problem is their hours are a complete mystery. Completely disregard whats on google, not at all right, sometimes well walk by in the middle of the day and theyll be closed, and well come by at 9:30 at night and be open. But more often than not theyre closed. Keep thinking they must have gone out business, yet saw them open again after months so they seem to still be alive and kicking

Place is incredible and affordable as well. Its located in a decent community in Chicago. It has an outside section as well. Ive stopped in on multiple occasions with friends. Their menu includes other things besides the gelato at reasonable prices.

Stopped by at 2pm on a Friday after walking 4 miles to get gelato and they’re closed. Lame.

Flavours are so boring and predictable. Not sure about taste because I don’t feel like trying any of the flavours.

The service is very inconsistent. Youll order a brownie a la mode which is 7 dollars and they only fill it half way. They are cheap... plain and simple

The pistachio and salted caramel gelato was excellent. The iced coffee was also good and I was impressed by their latte. While we didnt try anything they have a nice assortment of cannoli.

I only recently started coming here. The gelato is amazing but the service is even better. I witnessed Christina O. serve over thirty customers by herself. She moved so fast and no one, not even the little kids complained. The combination of delicious gelato/coffee and AMAZING customer service definitely earns five stars.

5.0 star rating8/16/2017My husband and I wanted something different for dessert at our wedding, not your typical wedding cake. We did a lot of research and in the end, we hired Caffe Gelato and it was such a hit! Anthony was very easy to work with and made the process very simple. We ended up getting four different flavors that were all delicious (hazelnut, pistacio, stracciatella, and lemon sorbet). Our guests said it was delicious and we loved how unique it was! We also had their ice cream cart that we wheeled over for a ceremonial first scoop. I should also mention they were incredibly reasonable. Lastly, we had some lemon sorbet lefotover and they let us pick it up and bring it back home with us. I definitely recommend Caffe Gelato for any event you are contemplating.

Despite it being a gelato place, Ive never actually had their gelato- though it looks delicious. Instead, my girlfriend and I come here for the coffee- regular roast for me and specialty lattes for her.We used to just walk past it, but stopped in once because it was on the way to the train, and we were absolutely taken aback by how gorgeous it is inside, and how amazing the machinery is in the back. As a former barista myself, this is definitely the coolest espresso machine Ive ever seen- looks like something out of a fantasy video game. We used to be regulars at Star Lounge, but nowadays we come to Caffe Gelato instead- we seek it out specifically, rather than just stopping by when its on the way.Ive also always been impressed with the workers, between the guy who I think may manage the place, a woman Ive seen there once or twice, and someone else I believe too- only the nicest service. Comfy chairs and nice seating arrangements too. For having far less chairs than Star Lounge, theres never a problem getting a seat, and theyre open later too! This place wins in every category.Five stars for sure!

Place is a rock star when it comes to gelato. They have at least 15 or more flavors and have rotating flavors. Last time I was here they had pumpkin pie and apple pie flavors. Of course I had to get both. The coffee is pretty good here, but really you go there to get gelato. It is about 4 dollars for a single/regular size cup and 5 for a larger. Go big or go home I say. If you want some gelato in Chicago (nice rhyme) go here!

Hands down the best gelato Ive ever had! Ive never been to Italy so I cant compare to the gelatos served there but wow, I am so amazed. I have tried so many different places for gelato and always have returned here. The pistachio is absolutely amazing. My mouth is watering just writing about it. Its a bit pricey though considering youre paying almost 5 bucks for a scoop-size of gelato but its well worth it. YUMMY!!!

Everything in this place is addicting, from gelato to coffee to fig cookies to tiramisu.

Gelato was good. But the service provided by a tall blonde female was awful and made my bf and I feel very uncomfortable and unappreciated.

Absolutely love the gelato here. Its genuine homemade Italian gelato with traditional flavors. Only place in town to get blood orange gelato, which happens to be my favorite. Vince, the proprietor is awesome. Hes super friendly and very helpful. Its also a great spot for espresso. Try the gelato sodas for a tasty treat that is a twist on this classic dessert.
