I had to give at least 1 star for this review otherwise they would have received negative stars from me. I have bought over 40 new and used cars from various dealerships. This is by far, the worst dealership experience of my life. The vehicle I purchased had water leaking in the interior (for years probably) amongst a plethora of other problems. On my way home I found the carpet was soaked and ultimately everything under it was rusted and corroded. This dealership knew about it all and sold the car just like that anyway. When I called to let them know the issues, they told me they would do nothing about it because the engine and transmission were working. Unfortunately (for me), I didnt buy and engine and transmission... I bought a car. They didnt see it that way and was told that it was my problem. The water in the vehicle was caused by all the factory roof lights leaking. I had to pay thousands of dollars to have the leaks fixed, mold and mildew ridden carpets removed/replaced, rust removed/repaired, replace rusted/corroded parts, etc...Some of the parts I cant even get because they are no longer being made. In the end, I bought a health/safety risk (that they were most certainly aware of) and now the vehicle has electrical issues. This was a 20K vehicle and they could care less!!!! Their business practices are borderline nefarious and their customer service is deplorable. Stay away...what seemed like a good deal turned out to be the worst one.

So I bought one truck from them several years ago it was 16k. I get antsy about paying more then 10k at a time for anything and they let me split it overall it was a pleasant experience. I went in November to buy another truck, completely different I wanted to finance because I have pretty much no credit. The owner got me 24% interest with 15k down and we would only tell the finance company it was 10k down and he would arrange it in the price like I said I’m iffy when I buy something for more then 10k in cash. Left over all happy then I paid 1k a month thinking I’m paying off 15k plus 24% interest and decided it’s been 6 months ima just pay it off. After a long discussion with my finance company I found out my pay off was just over 19k because on top of the interest there was a 10k finance fee, but then I said how is it 19k still to pay off completely heres the math. The truck was 29,900 I put 15,000 down, that makes it 14,900 for my loan instead he put in the system 10k and didn’t adjust the price for the 5k left over stuck that in his pocket said nothing about the 10k surcharge, dosent call back can’t get past his secretary or screener and apparently got Covid the first few months I tried to call and now she dosent know when he will be in the office. How’s that for convenience.🤔 anyway I like to think I’m a good customer, but I am not the kinda guy you steal from.

Came in wanting to buy a used car, was met with a friendly face eager to help, but I later discovered that the face was masking a devils grin. I was led to the car with no hesitation and got to test drive it. After inspection, I addressed my concerns to Steve and he assured me that they would fix everything before I drive off and dismissed the concerns (tire pressure light that was present, stains indicating leakages, etc). The sun roof was dysfunctional and I noticed a hole in it but the staff assured me that it would not leak or cause problems. I was assured many times that the car was fully able to drive with functional tires, a good engine, and solid foundation. I decided to purchase the car and they fixed it up for me before I left. Later on when I drove it out, I noticed the check engine light and the tire pressure light both on. As I was coming home, I made a quick stop and when I tried to start the car back up it would not start. I ended up being stranded in the snow and had to get it towed back. The engine turned over miraculously after I arrived home so I planned on taking it in the next morning to get it looked at. The next morning arrived and the back left tire went completely flat. I swapped out the tire to the spare and noticed the spare was also in poor shape and flat. So the car is unable to be driven between the faulty engine and the flat tires, and on top of that I noticed that the roof did indeed leak after the snow. So the mendacious staff blatantly lied about these problems and when I contacted them after about it, I asked to have someone sent to come look at the car as it is not drivable, but they were too apathetic to send any help and continuously disregarded my requests, asking me to try and fix things myself by getting new tires or towing it myself and ultimately to try calling them again the next day they open. In essence, the good people of Chicago Car Connections knowingly sold me a FAULTY car and would not answer my requests for any help to try and get the car to at least drive out of my parking spot. Not to mention months later, I still have not received my title despite continuously calling and being shrugged off. Now I also have a late registration fee to deal with for the car. Dishonest business - AVOID AND DO NOT TRUST

Customer service is horrible. I inquired about a truck and got a one line answer email. It looked unprofessional from that alone. The whole message was litrally in the subject line of the email. Second, I did the application online to get pre approved and I did but when I went to the location to test drive it, I was told that I need to get approved again because I didnt apply. Calling customers a liar in their face isnt a way to talk when they are about to buy a vehicle. I was talked to like I didnt have a job. I showed a small hint of what I do which proved I could afford anything on that lot. That truck was going to be a toy for me. Working on a 3rd vehicle but being treated like I cant afford a 20 thousand dollar truck is extremely rude. Never judge a book by its cover. If I did then I wouldnt even have went to the clutter of cars of a dealership. They got nice cars but they better learn how to talk to somebody correctly. We both missed out of that one.

I bought my 2011 volvo in oct 2017... my experience dealing with the staff, how very helpful and accommodating everyone was especially Jay who went above and beyond making sure any concern i had about my volvo was taken care. they are a family owned business who in my opinion care more about selling you the right vehicle at their best price and they stand behind what they sell...... they made me feel special and delivered what they said they would.... i will definitely be purchasing my next vehicle from Jay....... thank you!!

02/08/2019 (Scroll to the bottom for my Bottom Line on this company)This is my honest review of Chicago Car Connections. I am not a competing dealership, or writing this review for financial gain. Email me with questions. Claytonsummer10 at yahoo dot com (it has to be entered this way)I started contact with Chicago Car Connections, (C.C.C.) within the last two weeks. I informed them that I was interested in one of the vehicles on their lot, a Black Chrysler 300C with a 5.7 litre engine and All-Wheel-Drive capabilities. On first communication one of the employees informed me that I would not be able to take the car off of the lot to have it inspected even-though I was paying for the expense. So i let the car go and moved on to contact other dealerships within the U.S.I eventually came full circle back to this dealership to try to purchase the car again and asked if the vehicle could be taken off of the lot to be inspected by a mechanic. At first I was corralled into specific shops at the dealerships bias, but with some prodding was able to choose my own shop, a third party. ***Before I began looking for a dealership the General Manager (GM) and I agreed on a specific purchase price for the vehicle.***C.C.C. claims to have been in business for around 40 years. I only caught glimpses of that job experience during the next portions of this review. After I paid the inspection, bought a bus ticket and purchased a car history report (expenses amounting to $200), I am informed by the secretary, Suzie (excuse any misspellings) that the GM had raised the price of the vehicle around $500.From this point on any communications that I had with the GM was relayed to me through the secretary and through the vice president of sales, Andre. Throughout the conversation I knew that I had to speak diligently and carefully to relay to the VP of sales and additional eavesdropping staff that the original agreed upon deal was a verbal agreement, that I did not misunderstand the GM, and that I was crystal clear of what i understood of the deal. I eventually agreed to this new price, but it was still far enough away from and out of my range for me to intelligently make this choice.CCC initially made it clear that they be would violating a code of ethics by paying me for the losses that I would sustain as a result of them raising the price on an already agreed upon sale and me not being able to purchase the vehicle as a result. (Those losses being around $200 for transportation, inspection etc). CCC told me that it would open the company up to have to pay out for other potential wrongdoings. Now, with the exception of especially frivolous or false claims, I believe that to win the trust and the business of the public, you need to be able to work with the public. When a customer has losses due to a situation like this they should not be interrogated in the fashion that I was. Most importantly, if a purchase price is agreed upon, that price should be final. As i talked on the phone with the VP of sales, Andre, I could hear the GM and secretary in the background quarreling over how much money they were losing on the sale, disagreeing with the VP over negotiations, etc.***Here is my bottom line:Would I buy from Chicago Car Connections or recommend others to purchase from them? No. From my experience, when it came down to needing to be treated like a customer, I was not. I was interrogated, mislead on pricing, and corralled into specific options. And when this was not the case, organization and communication was shoddy at best. I know that I am in the hole $200, Im ok with that.40 years, and a three star rating? Go somewhere a little more reputable. Chicago Car Connections has a little more work to do.P.S. Im sure that someone from CCC will reach out to this review. Send me an email if you need more elaboration on my experience. I will even help you to find a more reputable dealer and a lower price on the same make and model of the vehicle youre searching for. My email is at the beginning of this post.
