I have had all of the work on my car over the past year done by A &A. Fair prices, excellent turn-around time, and honesty are rare qualities in a mechanic, but this place has them all! I have never been disappointed with their work. They tell me what is absolutely necessary to fix, and what can wait a bit. This recent college grad is extremely thankful for their understanding of a tight budget. They have gained a life long customer!

The philosophy Ive experienced from him since 2003 is simple: identify the problem, be honest and upfront by showing the problem, communicate costs, fix the issue right the first time, charge a fair price without surprises, stand behind the work done to ensure the customer is happy. Mechanics and shops like this are rare, but so refreshing to know his exists.My first experience in 2003 was AFTER a GM dealership claimed there wasnt a part available in the entire country and would require a special blah blah blah to cost over $1,400 for repairs - the GM dealership now out of business still managed to charge me $250 for a shady repair.Then I found Thatchs shop. He not only found the part the same day, he charged me $240 for parts and labor!! He won me over and has been my trusted mechanic ever since.Year after year Thatchs philosophy is constant. My appreciation for him, his work, his mechanics and his shop are endless. I trust my car repairs to no other shop and highly recommend Thatchs A&A Auto Services to everyone I know, and now to you via Google.

The owner Mr. Thatch really honest guy he knows his thing, my respect to him. My family has been bringing there cars here for almost 20 years now. I remember when I was just a child and came with my uncle to get his car fix. Now that Im older and have my cars I bring it here. He is really honest shows you the issue and everything. I bring my cars here never had a issue. Its hard to find a honest mechanic now these days, I recommend this shop.

I only gave 1 star because I cant post without clicking a star. I brought my car here to check a noise coming from my engine, dropped it off in the morning, i didnt hear back 4 hours later, so I called him and he said I havent checked your car yet, l will call you back. He called back within 10 minutes and told me i needed a new engine...!! no real explanation given. The cost he quoted was $1800.00.. i took my car to another mechanic for a second opinion. within 20 minutes he told me i had no oil in my car... my bad right? charged me 20.00 for the oil and time and said to be more careful. WOW.. I would not refer anyone to this auto repair shop!. MAD in ALBANY PARK.
