I love CM Games, one of the last best retro game stores in the area. Staff is usually pretty friendly, I cant think of a time before ever been treated poorly by the staff. Nice combination of new and used games, I got for the retro N64 and GBA games. They are literally the only reason I go to the mall anymore. My one and only complaint and reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is they are slightly overpriced. I have found some of the same games at McKays for way cheaper and most definitely cheaper on EBay. I always compare their prices to Pricecharting.com and often see CM Games is slightly higher. But they are a good place to go look for retro games and occasionally come across a game I’ll be willing to pay a little extra for.

I was excited to go to this store at first. My expectations were high, and they were set by the photos, and reviews. I was expecting for it to be like most retro game stores I have been to beforehand, which have nice staff, a good selection, and decent prices. What I got was almost the polar opposite. First, Ill get 1 good thing about this place down. Their console variety was very good, and it was very cool to see an NES right next to a Wii U. These consoles are all pretty overpriced though, with a Wii (with cords) costing $140, and a Wii U costing a hefty amount of $270. Anyway, the game selection wasnt much better. The games they had were very overpriced, and they were obscure games too. The titles that people actually cared about were a pretty bad price as well. Moving on to the staff. The staff were not very polite, and it seemed like they were mad at me because I needed help. I was pretty mad when I saw they were being even more unkind to pre-pubescent children. It seemed they were just wanting them to get out of the store, I even saw this one kid who was wanting a GBA game, and the employee was being a jerk to him, but luckily they said Never coming back. Anyway, I didnt care about the cards part of the store, but most of the reviews were about that part, so I cant judge if that is good or bad. Anyway, I was very unsatisfied when I left the store. I will never be buying or coming to this store again, cant wait to buy games at other retro video game stores.

I loved my experience it was short but I was an out of towner and I was looking for more mtg cards to bring home and didn’t want to order because of COVID-19 but everyone in there was nice and helpful

The staff is always helpful and knowledgeable of products. Products range from board and tabletop games, to collectibles and video games. If you are a veteran or just someone looking to get into a new nerdy hobby, this is the best place around to check out.

Employees were really helpful in finding a game that i would enjoy. I prefer story games and open world.I actually settled on the evil within which was my sons recommendation.Thank you for having decent prices and a wonderful selection

WARNING Pretentious nerds work here. That’s right the Worst kind of nerd possible. A man child with a unibrow really had some strange superiority complex going on when I went in. I told him he didn’t have to mock me. Then proceeded to purchase the product. Their game systems and games are extremely overpriced. You might be able to pull that off on eBay or Amazon but not in a store bud.There is an upside. Lots of cool stuff in the store. If you can deal with the pretentious nature of the employees coupled with the over pricing you’ll do just fine

If I could do 0 stars I would. This place has the worst return policy. #1) they don’t even tell you what the return policy is BEFORE you make a purchase. #2) they have a sign taped to the top of the counter on one of the registers only. So if you paid on the other register, or someone has the stuff they’re buying on the counter, they cover it up and you have no idea that if you buy a new product and have your original receipt, you cannot return it for cash back. You can only get store credit. I bought an Xbox remote as a Christmas gift, to find out that someone else had already given him a remote (already opened). So I have no use for this remote now, and the store said they cannot give me a refund, only store credit. I am an older female that does not play video games. What the heck am I supposed to do with store credit to a video game store? And on top of that, they want to charge you a 15% restocking fee?!?!?? Ridiculous!

This has got to be, hands down, my favorite store. The employees are always very approachable, and are knowledgeable about whatever I need. The store always has new products which makes every visit different from the last. My family only shops at CM Games stores whenever we can help it. You can tell that this company cares about its customers, and its employees. 13/10 would recommend to anyone who likes video games, card games, and just all around cool stuff.

I love this place! Bought a used Wii U and a Gamecube at different times. Both consoles were in amazing condition and they work great!

Great place to play MTG, Pokémon TCG, and even D&D. Theyre looking for more Dungeon Masters if youre interested. Plenty of toys and games to buy for the people of all ages. Board games and card games are not exempt. The owners pride in their business comes from it being a family friendly environment and bringing people together.Is that better?

Not a bad gaming store fairly welcoming. Staff was friendly the size was weird and very cramped notuch room for events in the back of the store. But it was clean and orderly overall average experience and would recommend but I have other choices Id recommend first. Did not hate it just wasnt blown away

Definitely not the employees fault because its apparently stored policy, but just be aware when opening a new recently purchased console they do not do returns once the item is opened. Kind of annoying because I spent a lot of money. It just turns out the console wasnt my favorite.

This store is awesome. Had plenty of Nintendo games I was looking for. Couple of stuffed plushes I got for my niece and nephew for Christmas. They love Pokemon. They also had plenty of newer games, even used, that had really good prices from what I can gather.Guys behind the counter were really helpful when asking if they had recommendations for my niece and nephew.Definitely will be coming back here to shop.

This store has to be the largest one I have been in. It has a ton of stuff in it and I am always seeing new product which is refreshing! I come here all the time to chat with other players and pick up whatever I need. I am a long time Magic players and their entire staff is super knowledgeable about the game. I love this store!

The selection of current and classic video games is fantastic. If you are looking for board games you need to check out their inventory, I was amazed at the number of games available and if they dont have it they can order it. They have events for you to participate in with other people. They have lots of figures for the games or as collectibles. The staff is super knowledgeable and helpful so stop in and talk to them you wont be disappointed

Very professional, always has good products. I got a game and it didn’t play at first we went back and they used the resurfacer to fix it. It works so much better. I really enjoy this place

If you like card games, they have one just about every night of the week. Good amount of players on Friday and Saturday. The store was always clean and well organized. Most the employees were nice and could answer a lot of questions about a wide variety of games. I bought several consoles and games here and they honored their return policy often. What really lost my bussiness was the assistant manager. I sold my collection of magic the gathering cards and I expected a low sell value to a store; but I was offered about 40% of my higher priced cards and for my 5-10$ cards I was offered less than a penny. They have a bulk price of like 10$ for 1000 cards. So I decided not to sell those cards. I was continually haggled by the assistant store manager while separating the cards from the bulk. I eventually told him Id rather trust the price on the internet than trust him. He told me to leave his store and the store manager had to intervene. What a joke? They eventually mixed the cards back in with the bulk and I decided to keep all the bulk than separate it again.

Good selection of cards and video games. Would like to see a better selection of board games. Hate that board games have become so expensive but that doesnt seem limited to just this store.

So happy that I went to this store and not any others! I went in and just went into awe. They have almost all the recent sets, tons of boxes for modern, and modern masters sets! They have so many singles its insane. Every single I wanted I got, and they had more of each one! This store is now my absolute favorite place to go. Their staff also was very friendly and answered my calls before I came! Hope you like it!

Stopped by today to check out the store. They seemed kinda short staffed, but they are friendly. Be sure to check the msrp on everything, some things are a few dollars less than suggested retail. Some are a few more. The used items for the most part seem over priced, there are some good deals. But there are others that left a bad taste in my mouth. Some of the used games that looked to be in pretty rough shape, were priced high. Others that were newer or worth more, were priced less than actual value.

CM Games is the place to go for buying and trading games, consoles, and cards. Such as YU-GI-OH, Magic The Gathering, and more. The staff are some of the coolest and most helpful people youll ever meet and I love coming to the store Ive been going to CM Games for about 3 years now and Im basically a regular at this point. Even if your not looking to buy or trade anything its definitely a place to stop by for a bit of a nostalgia trip.

Staff could be better. I was told I could trade something in and when I get to the store they tell me they dont accept these items after being told so and making the drive there. Also, they keep all their receipts on the computer, I lost mine and dude said he had no way of proving I bought the game even though he sold it to me the previous day.

Will never go back. They used an excuse of our stuff had ants all in it and there wasnt. We even double checked. They just didnt feel like trading anything in.

Ive only been here a couple of times to check out some of the video games & pop figures, but so far the staff has been nothing short of friendly & provide excellent customer service each & every time.I have to use cation when entering however as they ALWAYS have something I want & I dont think theres been a time where I didnt leave without buying something. This place is great!

Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. He had no issue helping me with my new found passion for Magic. Where we live it would be rare to find someone that would be willing to share the information he did. He also showed me the starter packs they give for FREE. That and he gave me some individual cards to help build my deck. Aside from the card games they have a great selection of video games (including SNES and Atari games), game swag like backpacks and such AND *throwback* little beanie babies!

The staff is normally approachable and friendly. A decent selection but their pricing isnt no where it needs to be. It seems like they are trying to sell games and media for over market value but they will price match. But why have a game thats been out for years at full price of what a brand new game just released is ? Just a little fishy, but they will price match if your aware of the real price .

The case is certainly the best part about the store. The FNM is okay but nothing to right home about at least in terms of Standard. It is in the mall so it is near alot of other places which can be convenient. The staff is friendly and is willing to learn.

Update.. Management fixed the situation...Bought a PS4 controller for 63.99. Found a new one at Best Buy, went to return the controller they said nope its not defective. Asked them to Price Match Best Buy and Id return the one I bought there the sales person said we dont price match youre just out of luck. I could understand if this was a used product, but this is new and unopened. Wont ever put my foot back in any CM Games Location..Update.Management called and made the situation right.

I wish their table top section was larger, but they have plenty of video games, so if you want a GameStop alternative it definitely works. Its good for what it is.

Nice store and reasonable prices but their return policy is awful. They sold me a used controller that was marked as wireless, but was actually wired. They would not refund my money only store credit. My only mistake was buying from them when there are plenty of other good competitors in town.

We always loved coming to CM Games, especially when our son and his family comes in from Chicago. We are happy to hear they will be starting D&D RPG soon, my husband and I love to join in.

Nice store. But employees are RUDE. This cashier was so Sexist its outrageous. He thought hes so much better than everyone else, and hes lucky I didnt put him in his place. I work in retail, and I have a strong basis in customer service. When Im mistreated, I dont take it lightly. Very disappointed in his customer service. So much to the point. I will not be returning, Im buying all my games online or at Best Buy.

Im glad to see another player in the used gaming market especially a store with so much variety. The selection is great at CB Games but sadly Ive found the prices higher than Gamestop after comparing a dozen or so games. Some of their prices are close to Gamestop but theres a few that are ridiculously overpriced. Its still a great place to visit especially when shopping for a geek/gamer. They also purchase your used comics, magic cards, etc...

Beware! This store buys unlicensed goods and is upselling them for a ridiculous price! A lot of their plushies, bags, collectibles, and gaming accessories are unlicensed and are Chinese knockoffs. While I have no problem with people buying and selling these items, I do have a problem with them charging the same price as its licenced counterpart. If you’re going to pay $30 for a backpack or plush toy it should be for the real product not the knockoff. I have no doubt their games and items behind glass are the real deal, that’s why they’re there, but I’m not even sure about some of the pop figures, there are color inconstancies with many of the boxes, which leads me to believe some of that stock is fake too, JUST BE CAREFUL. I don’t remember this store being like this before it moved to inside the mall.

It is a good store but way over prized. I bought a legend of Zelda Wind Waker for Wii u at a prize of $50. You could buy it at Walmart for 20. The good news about this is that every game is $50, even the ones that cost more in other stores. The staff is actually nice to you to.

Great place to shop I got an XboxOne, 5 games a controller and a gaming headset for what I could go to GameStop or Wal-Mart and get the console and a controller.

Shady if you’re selling. I brought in almost 400 old Magic cards that I’d already confirmed on current internet buylists valued at $500 (low estimate). I sat around for 4 hours while they went through the cards only to be offered a ridiculously low-ball price. When I asked about some individual card pricing, they told me that the site (tcg(dot)com) didn’t keep a record of the cards individually.I left with my cards and when I checked tcg later on, not only do they keep itemized lists, they give low, avg, and high value estimates on every single card and I confirmed that the low-end value was roughly double what they had offered me.What a waste of a Saturday. I will not be returning. Everything they sell is overpriced anyway.

Its a busy place with a large selection of video games (modern and classic), decent collection of cards for Yu-Gi-Oh, MTG, and Pokemon. Thursdays are Yu-Gi-Oh night, and fridays are MTG. Both nights bring a lot people so it may get loud, but the staff manage it really well. Best part, they are an OTS store for konami, so you can get tournament packs for playing. Prices on single cards are pretty decent, and they buy cards too.

Terrible place. I managed there and was asked to turn the store around, mostly in customer service. Most of the employees didnt want change and fought against. The customer service has gone right back to where it was before, as is evident in these reviews. BTW, make sure you know the value of what you take in there to sell, otherwise they will screw you over. If you need Magic or Pokemon cards, I would suggest going to Epikos or Infinity Fluxx.BTW, two of the 5-star reviews are from their own employees... at their corporate level, no less.

I bought a used Gameboy SP and was excited to be able to play some of my games on it, I allowed it to charge, and when I started playing the game would not show, and it made a sound like tv static but worst. So my father took it there because I had to work, came home expecting my money, and I got credits. Their return policy is complete trash! They sell broken systems without even testing them, and they dont respect your right as a customer and a hard working citizen that has put hours of their time to acquire income! Im not buying anything there again and I have decided to destroy the credits. Whatever, good riddance. Buy from those who respect you as a worker and customer, dont appease greed. Thats all I got to state.
