I have found so many great vintage vinyl here as well as harder to find new releases. Got a near perfect original pressing of 1984 Van Halen and Dark Side of The Moon here for $100 total. Great deals and great selection

This is a great place to hunt for your vinyl. All the new items are upfront, you have to walk past counter for used. Everything is pretty well organized, even have t-shirts, patched, and stickers.

Solid selection & they do a good job keeping them alphabetical.

The pictures on here are of the old store around the corner. The newer store is in desperate need of fresh stock and better organization. It is a chore to shop here in its current state.

They always have a killer new section. Reissues and original pressings. Absolutely HUGE Beatles stock. Its definitely a place worth digging through. My favorite day off spot.

This is hands down the best place to go for records I love it and the employees are always very nice and helpful. They sell more than just records as well such as CDs, cassettes, 8 tracks, and more its always a nice place to go and just browse and enjoy the music.

Ask for a vintage Goose Creek Symphony Album Head for the heels to make my collection complete and they delivered. I think they had to travel down south to Georgia. Nice people great Records

This shop is always on point. Their stock is always fresh. Havent been digging here once and not walked away with couple of picks. Staff is friendly, and if you need something specific they may have it elsewhere and will call you up when found.

Decent store, fair supply of old vinyl and tapes. Also old books and magazines related to music and show business. Posters too, and a small collection of DVDs and VHS. They also buy old music and books. Worth checking out.

Anything you are looking for if they dont have it...they will try to get it for you!!! I walk around and forget awhile that Im not 18! But I love it at any age and it means ALOT to me. Theres not many of these places around! Thank you!

Into Nostalgia? Lots of stuff in there. Worth a look. Lot of older music, turn tables, cassette decks, tapes, vinyl, posters, fridge magnets etc.

Very cool place. Mainly classic rock and country records and associated memorabilia. A bit difficult to walk arkund or find what you want.

Good selection of new records and tons of used ones. Ive never gone in without finding at least one record that I was excited to take home. They even have some used stereo gear for sale.

Really nice shop for finding a hard to find gift for an old audiophile. Lots of old records for just about every taste and some new ones for the new generation of vinal listeners. T-shirts, small gifts and lots of posters to see and buy. Most at reasonable prices. I also had some great service from the guy behind the counter. He even called the boss to see it an item was possible available for me. If you stop in Northgate mall in Hixson TN Definately check out this great little record store.

The selection on used records is massive. The owner is really nice and the prices arent bad. However, if you are looking for new records Id go somewhere else because the markup is a little higher.

The atmosphere and friendly staff cannot be beat. The used record prices can, however, but mostly online in collectors corners like Discogs. But why buy through that market when you can peruse in person and physically handle the discs? For used records, youre set. New? They consistently raise the price by $10 or more. For instance, the remastered Pink Floyds The Wall is over $50 here but under $35 at Amazon and less than $45 at Barnes and Noble. What choice will you make?They could also use a better hip-hop and rap selection, and definitely a section containing metal. The over-saturation of classic rock is a buzz kill, especially when theyre selling the same records other stores have. But in the end, its nice to have that selection.Buy used, but selectively. Examine all of the records you are interested in. If youre in this hobby just as a collector with the intent to have rare, profitable items, you will not recoup the costs of albums as the prices charged outweigh their condition. However! For the Record has the best return policy in Chattanooga for used records. If the records are defective in any way, simply return them to exchange for something new. Make sure you still have the sticker price on the cover. They dont offer cash back, but thats fine.Its great to have local record stores and For the Record is the best of the lot in Chattanooga. I say this as having spent hours in McKays, time in Chads Records, and a minute or two at Barnes and Noble and Best Buy. You will not regret your time here.

This store is very cozy and has so much music to choose from. I enjoyed the hospitality and aura of the place. They also had a vinyl I was looking for, which was a plus.

Can I store wasnt too crowded today we was in there looking for some music checking on some new country music that was out this was very helpful workers were there 2 days tour dates we cant find what were looking for but maybe next time

Its a tight cramped place with little or no air conditioning. Stuff just piled up everywhere. If your looking for record store day merchandise from the past couple years they have a bunch of that.
