We received the recomendation for Syrup and Eggs from our hotel concierge. this restraunt has incredibly fantastic food. We showed up around 10am on a Saturday morning and had 60 minute wait. This restraunt was 100% worth the wait. Drinks and food were so good. Looking forward to visiting again!

This is my absolutely favorite restaurant in Chattanooga. They always have incredible flavor combinations and venues that change out frequently. Whether it’s their sourdough pan which which is a pancake that’s done like a grilled cheese with a sourdough batter. Or some other sweet and savory options like bacon candied and hot pepper jam with sesame’s on it. Everything I’ve had has been an absolute delight and will definitely go again and again and again

Food was great. I got the egg pie with a side of pesto potatoes. The egg pie was very light and fluffy with a good crunch from the crust. The pesto potatoes were very light. The only issue was that the wait staff was a tad bit slow but the price and food quality were great.

Kat was our server, and she was attentive, informative, and a very sweet personality. Excellent service from her. Food was outstanding, and I was thrilled this place was open early on a Sunday. Gorgeous morning, sat on the cute patio, and enjoyed a lovely meal. The kale was delicious, cooked in apple cider vinegar with excellent flavor. The sweet almond pancake with blueberries and lemon zest was the best pancake I’ve ever had. Delicious! The next time I visit Chattanooga, I’ll definitely eat there again. Thank you!!!

Eclectic, craft-kitchen serves-up modern, tasty renditions of some old favorites!Worth the wait. Must visit. Hotel we stayed recommended Syrup & Eggs. Frankly it was even better than what we expected. Try the Yukon potato hash and pancakes (photo is vanilla pancake with chocolate-chips). Each dish our party had was perfectly prepared (no-kidding).Restaurant appears to be newly renovated inside Dwell Hotel. We will be back. You should just go, simple as that.

This place was really cool! We loved it! The decor is awesome! It’s a tiny little place. Menu options are different which is cool. They even had breakfast sandwiches using pancakes as the bread. Our choice was a special of the day and it was absolutely delicious!!! It was like steak kebabs with fried egg and some potatoes. The flavors were amazing! The steak was cold on arrival, but perhaps it was supposed to be. Not sure. Water is served room temp with no ice. I would’ve preferred some ice in my water. My first cup of coffee was a little too cold for me, but I’m picky and like my coffee very hot. You have the option of using those little plastic single serve half & half’s that are on the table or they can bring you fresh cream. Go for the fresh cream! My daughter ordered chocolate milk and she did not like it. She’s a little picky though. She saw like white milk curd or fat floating at the top and she was done. Waitress said it was the type of milk they use. Also seemed like perhaps they used a really dark chocolate powder or something to make the chocolate milk. Daughter complained of the aftertaste. Just Not your typical Hershey’s syrup or nestle quick. Lol. Anyhow, we really enjoyed this place and will definitely come back again next time we are in the area.

By far the best looking and tasting pancakes, and I don’t even like pancakes. I couldn’t finish the two I had. One would have been more than enough. We arrived around 9:00 and had about a 30 minute wait. There were 6 of us so there were few spots we could sit together. We got a nice outside spot all at the same table. The waitress was so friendly and chatted with us about some local events we weren’t aware of (we’re local 🤣) My companions had the bagels and salmon. They gave it rave reviews! My advice: get there early. By time we left, the entire lobby of the hotel the restaurant is housed in, was filled with people waiting to get in.

The atmosphere and service is pleasant and delightful. The food is served looking good enough to advertise, and tastes as good as it looks. The pricing is perfect. Be prepared to wait a while to be seated, as it is a popular dining facility and they do not take reservations. However, it is definitely worth the wait, so make a point to clear your schedule and visit this hidden gem! It is heaven!

Wow. What a great spot for breakfast. Super nice interior and gives off a very trendy and hip vibe. Its kind of hidden inside the dwell hotel but make sure you find this spot. Very limited seating paired with high popularity makes wait times a bit on the longer side. But it is worth it. They have a great selection of vegetarian and vegan options if you are looking for that sort of thing. The biscuits and mushroom gravy was good, but the pancakes stole the show. The pumpkin pie special for the well was incredible. Some of the best Ive had. The apple pie was also very good and had great apple flavor. Awesome breakfast spot! The pecan pie pancake special was also out of this world.

This place is not worth the price or food quality. The staff was all over the place and a quick breakfast turned into a 2 hour ordeal. It took 45 minutes for our mimosas to come out our waiter didn’t even acknowledge us. We then waited 1 hour for our breakfast which was not good at all. If you enjoy good breakfast food avoid this place at all costs. Not to mention our service was so bad they comped half our meal. I would not waste any time at this establishment. Excellent decor, excellent staff, and the food is absolutely incredible. I try to get something new every time I go and I have not tasted something that I didnt like. This is me and my partners go to breakfast/brunch spot, and weve tried their breakfast sandwiches, breakfast fries, pancakes, you name it. Its all delicious. As I review this unique restaurant in downtown Chattanooga have a seat and enjoy the picture views as I walk you through my personal experience with Syrup and Eggs.First alittle history of this restaurant. This restaurant has been in a small house in St. Elmo for several years and known for there unique blue/purple pancakes. They were also known for there family home atmosphere. The fresh all natural good quality food made right in the small loving home kitchen in the back served with loving care.Fast forward to today and this second act for this restaurant in downtown Chattanooga just made this place even more unforgettable. Why? The location of the restaurant is literally in the first floor of a old hotel that you literally walk by the front desk if you come in the back doors of the restaurant but front doors of the hotel off main street. You will immediately see to your right a modern chic seating lounge with a long corridor seating area that runs into the dining. These are the pictures after the food that has a TV with a Fish aquarium in it.Whether you come in the back or walk down the narrow quiet street of the front of the restaurant the staff are there to welcome you for an experience like non other.I personally choose a weekend morning a day before valentines. As you could imagine even early in the morning there was a short wait but reasonable. This trip I got lucky to sit immediately at the bar with three stools where I could see all the action taking place. Plus, viewing everything all around for the best seat in the house for a review. As I was seating there looking at all the decorations and unique things of being in an old hotel it was like wow. It was alot to take in from the rich history of the building to the modern chic decor added. All the smiling faces of the guest eating, laughing, and having a good time. The tables were set with fresh flowers to make it romantic for guest like Ethan and his girlfriend from Ringgold, GA celebrating love/life being together this pre valentines day. Shoutout to both of them for letting me add them to my photo review. As you can see from the first two pics I chose the hazelnut hot chocolate which was amazing before ordering the meal. As the staff explained what on the menu was gluten free for my allergy I chose the white cheese grits with kale. Now I am very picky about how kale is cooked and prepared. This was the best kale I have had to date. They cooked it and prepared it just like collard green with busting flavor with hint of lemon. The grits were very flavorful too along with the quaint round eggs 🥚that Im not sure how they cooked it that way but wow. Last but not least I am from the south and no breakfast is complete without potatoes. As you can see 👀 in the photo they were delicious too.I highly recommend this restaurant and tell them I sent you.If you are looking for a unique, modern chic design, rich old history, all natural good wholesome food, and place to bring, family, friends, dates, to have a great meal. This is the place to make a memory that will last a life time.If you like my review follow me as I travel the country stopping along the way featuring new places each week. I am also starting a youtube channel soon.

Get here when they open on the weekends, you’ll have no issues getting seated right away. Besides that the wait can be up to 2 hrs depending on the time. You are going to wait a while for your food, it’s always worth it. I recommend getting a drink or coffee while you wait for your food to arrive. The Anthropologie-like restaurant setting is amazing. If you leave a less than stellar review, don’t expect to be met with empathy from the owner. Read the 1-2 star reviews they speak for themselves. Downside: old hand-written waiting list system, and youre more or less expected to wait for brunch if youre there late enough. Upside: theyve got a waiting room and its delightfully full of character, as is the rest of the restaurant. It felt like a set for a Wes Anderson film inside.Coffee was fantastic, as were the drinks. They offer almond milk, oat milk, or whole milk for their espresso options. Pancakes and eggs seemed to be their M.O. (as one could tell from the places name), and theyve even gotten a grilled cheese sandwich... with pancakes instead of slices of bread. Absolutely bonkers. Theyve had the tomato bisque for the days special, and it was simply the best pairing and I would absolutely recommend it. Weve also gotten the vegan breakfast platter, which was also fine, with fresh veggies and everything cooked nicely. All in all, a fantastic place. It was worth the wait.

They told us the wait would be around 45 minutes to an hour but it was more like 2 hours. The food was good but the wait was unacceptable. Brock was actually the only redeeming quality tbh.Edit: Waiting wouldnt have been a big deal if it felt like we werent forgotten. Groups of two who arrived after us without reservations were seated before us, much to their surprise. Our server even commented that he thought there was a mistake as to why we hadnt been seated yet. While this forum for reviewing experiences encompasses the entire visit, I had chosen to discuss the wait. But since I was insulted, Ill continue. We had to ask multiple times for silverware (not a huge deal) but it was never brought to us after 20 minutes so we had to find it ourselves. The bathroom was out of order when we arrived and my fiancee had to go to another venue to use theirs. Again, not a huge issue. The upholstery on some of the seats were torn and dirty. Two hours to be seated, 30 minutes to have our order taken and another 45 to get our food. When we were seated, there were 4 or 5 empty and clean tables both inside and outside which reinforced our theory we were forgotten. It was a goal of mine not to detract from the quality the servers displayed but instead to discuss longer than expressed wait times. Despite this, we still tipped well as we didnt blame our server. 5 stars for servers. 2 stars for management.

Bring a group of friends or a couple ready to do some exploring in downtown Chatanooga. Our wait was expected to be an hour and 15min. It ended up being 2 hours. We were ready for a wait from other reviews. We were in no hurry. The lounge area and the attached hotel lobby are unique and retro hip. The staff was friendly, laid back, and attentive. We were able to order coffees while we waited. We were seated on the patio first. A shower started and though quickly over it was blowing. We were allowed to seat inside. The food is uniquely thought about and tastes good. The Supreme BS, a biscuit sandwich with carnitas was very good. Cleanliness:1Speed: 0Service: 4Food: 2These numbers are way more than fair. Maybe I just hit at a bad time. Also received a really rude reply from the owner (read below). I choose this restaurant based on the reviews and was overall disappointed. She should use the feesback to address what seems to be redundant issues.

An absolute must if you visit Chattanooga. Rotating specials, awesome decor, knowledgeable stuff, and really, really good food

The most unique place in town to grab breakfast. We planned ahead and went at 7:15 to avoid the mother’s days wait. That’s the risk you take on Mother’s Day and with such a popular restaurant! The coffee was amazing as were the pancakes. The pancakes are also huge so you definitely get your money’s worth. Being upset that you have to wait is basically being upset at a business for successfully attracting their customers. Silly. We will continue to go back as we watch for the special stack update each week!
