Such a great spot to pick up a bottle or more of wine from - whether its provided from a VA winery or not. The Wine Warehouse has some great bottles from different regions all around the world that you normally cant get a hold of (especially at a grocery store). The pricing for a lot of their surplus isnt bad either. Definitely a fun experience to visit and learn about their stock and THEY ALSO HAVE BEER FROM DIFFERENT BREWERIES!I have had mostly great experiences with majority of the staff but on one occasion there was a run in with an employee/manager where I felt like I wasnt being taken seriously from the go. This led to not getting the assistance that I was accustomed to from Wine Warehouse and also not getting the recommendation that I was asking for from that individual. I was interested in trying a certain unfamiliar varietal and was seeking this wine in a certain price range. My range was never asked and I was given a bottle $7 bottle of wine that he preferred. I was ready to spend anywhere from $20-$50 if the bottle was worth it but ended up carrying the $7 bottle to the counter. I was later given a heads up by someone else to put that bottle back where I got it from if you get what I am saying. That stellar individual guided me to great bottles of wine and made my most recent visit much better. Kudos to that employee. Other than this I would still say visit Wine Warehouse for sure!

Five stars for the wine, one star for the reintroduced mask policy. Qu: How do flimsy medical masks or cotton cloths shield one from aerosolised viral particles? Answer: They do not and the store’s policy to reintroduce masking is kabuki theatre. However, just as it is their prerogative to enforce ‘The Science (TM)’, it is mine to take my business elsewhere. I’ll return when the store drops the mask.

My favorite place for wine and beer in Cville. Incredibly knowledgeable staff are more than happy to help you choose the right wine, without being pretentious or condescending. I know nothing about wine, and have given the staff vague indications of what I like and theyve provided me with really enjoyable recommendations. The beer selection is among the best in town, especially if youre into Belgian beers.

I dont think I have ever had bad service here over the years. They love helping you find what you want. I stopped here recently because they apparently had the last six pack in town of a seasonal regional beer I had just enjoyed on tap for lunch.Only knock on this place is its claustrophobically packed with merchandise. One reviewer described it as overwhelming. I dont find it overwhelming as much as difficult to browse. The walls of beer are great, but I cant stand back far enough from them to comfortably browse. Theres not much they can do about the size of the building, Im sure the location works well for them, and they are trying to have a plethora of product for customers, so it is what it is.They are also still requiring the face pamper. I am a proponent for business setting its own rules, so, bring your mask!Im glad they are there and have bought many a great beer from them. As far as wines...were a bit done with the $20-$30 bottles of wine. Weve been members of two wineries, been around the region tasting for years and have arrived at the fact that many $3-$10 bottles of wine from the grocery store are just as, or almost as good as wines weve paid over $30 for. They probably have budget wines here, I just never come here for wine!

Excellent customer service. I had a list of specific types of wines I needed for a wine tasting class. They found all of them immediately and I was on my way in mere minutes. Everything was well organized and prices were good!

If you’re looking to buy some wine or beer, this is definitely the place to go in Charlottesville. Although it’s called Wine Warehouse, they have an excellent beer, cider and mead selection as well. Get on their mailing list and they’ll let you know about special beers they get in.

Wine Warehouse is a gem of Charlottesville. They have an incredible selection of wine from all over the world, at great prices, with friendly and knowledgeable staff to help me find wines that I love. In addition to the wine, they have an excellent and diverse selection of beers. I love good sour beers and through Wine Warehouse have discovered some new favorites.

I honestly believe all these positive reviews are paid for by Wine Warehouse. The staff here is rude, begrudging, and frankly intolerable, always looking for an opportunity to air their pretentious and unhelpful attitudes. Ive visited the shop a handful of times and each time my experience is the same. Dont waste your time dealing with poor customer service. Kroger on Rio will special order any wine or beer you can imagine at a better price, and theyll do it with a smile.

Best place to grab exclusive craft beer. Get on the mailing list to get updated of new releases. Only place in Cville I can get Commonwealth Brewery. Definitely a place to go check out. Plus they have a huge selection of wine. If thats your style.

Not just wine, they have a great beer selection too! We actually bought all of the beer for our wedding here, and the staff was incredibly helpful. They helped get all of our specific selections, held onto it until we were ready to pick it up, and accepted returns on most of the leftovers.

Contrary to its name, this is a fantastic place to buy beer. A lot of selections from all over the world and through their email list you can get early access to some very rare beer in the area. Highly recommend checking this place out.

If you are looking for the insiders place to buy fine wine and craft beer in Cville check these guys out. I was looking for a few bottles of wine for a dinner party and decided to drop in. Was I surprised.The selection is unmatched and they care about what they sell. The entire store is kept cold inside to preserve the integrity of the wine and beer...and they will not be undersold in that they will match all VA prices including The Clubs. They have their own parking lot which made my shopping fast and easy.

Dropped in yesterday to pick up a bottle of wine for a get together. I had left a voicemail and an employee had followed up with me so thats why I was there. While one gentleman assisted me with finding what I needed he abruptly left and seemed preoccupied with a task in the store. He didnt ask if I needed anything else or offer to ring me up. I waited for the other employee to finish with his customers at the register then he took a phone call and I politely waited for him to finish that. I approached the register to check out and was greeted with Do you need something Instead of Hi or Are you ready to check out. The interactions were just awkward. I dont think Ill be going back.

I so enjoyed learning about their wide array of wines that it inspired me to have a wine tasting at my next dinner party; the range in color of rose is an almost Champaign to cranberry. Our group has learned so much from doing these side by side tastings.

Tonight I went in and chose a Sauvignon Blanc that tastes like a burned out vacuum belt, but the Beaujolais dude recommended to me last week was fantastic.
