There were 6 of us and we set at a couple tables on the porch. The food was delicious. Service was good. The older lady delivering food was fun :). Overall a cool atmosphere. Supporting the local places is a must! We will be back!!

Ive given them two chances and Im done. The food is dry and boring. They made substitutions on my food during my second visit and just ignored me when I told them I didnt like it. Its unfortunate that the food is so bad because the place is cute.

I had a terrible experience at Starlings Coffee & Provisions. I had read the reviews, and I was very excited to try this place. Many reviews mentioned their cinnamon rolls, so I went intending to try them. When we arrived, there were two people ahead of us. The cashier talked with them, and we ended up waiting for something like 20 minutes in line while they spoke. When we got to the front, we asked for the cinnamon rolls, and they said they didnt have any. Then we asked which days they make them. When the cashier checked with the baker, they answered that they didnt know if or when they would make them. This was so strange to us as it was something many reviews mentioned. Beyond that, the cashier suggested we just come back randomly to check...We finally ordered breakfast sandwiches to go and then stepped to the side, waiting for our order. Several more people came in and ordered and sat down. We waited another 20 plus minutes and watched while the people behind us got their food and started eating. Finally, the breakfast sandwiches arrived. As we pulled out of the driveway, we began to eat and found the sandwiches were very bland. It was honestly an infuriating experience. Besides the lousy service and the bad food, it was not at all cheap. Overall, awful experience for a place so well rated and loved. I wish I could give it a second chance, but I am very hesitant given our first experience.

Tried smoked salmon bagel, was good average. Not bad breakfast place but will be nicer if they have better interior decoration of the place. Coffee and beverage is average, definitely can tell is not their speciality compare to other coffee shop but is a decent place to have a breakfast.

Starlings is a hidden oasis- the atmosphere is serene and ideal for studying, meeting friends, or reading a book. The staff is so polite and conscientious of different dietary restrictions. They had amazing vegan options and non dairy milk choices. The vegan banana walnut bar was great! Will be going back!

We came here from out of town on the recommendation of family. The food was very good. The menu is simplified which makes for easy choices. Most of us had the sandwiches, which were a decent size and very flavorful. Both the bagel and English muffins were awesome. We also ordered a white breakfast pizza they had on special, and it was so delicious it was hard to share. The latte and mocha latte were a little milk forward but still good. Atmosphere is very relaxed and the tables are set up more bistro style. It doesn’t make for the most comfortable seating for a group like ours (4 adults, a toddler, and a baby), but we made it work. The woman working behind the counter was also extremely accommodating and kind given our group size. We will absolutely be visiting again!

Stopped here for a quick bite. Very limited menu. Bagels were delightful. I recommend the golden milk if you’re into that kind of things. Desserts looked SO good.

The ambiance, delicious food , Motown music (playing in the background )and perfect Iced Mocha is just what i needed on A Saturday Morning.This is my first time here and it’s on my favorite coffee places now.They offer sweets galore, healthy products breakfast food and unique items.I love the cool decor which gives it a warmth and you just want to stay awhile.This is a must place to put on your to do list.

We came here after seeing all the good reviews and pictures of delicious food. However, the service was not great. The younger cashier was cordial but seemed annoyed when I asked questions and was not helpful. Then, the woman making drinks was very rude to my boyfriend. The breakfast sandwiches took forever to come out and when they did, they were alright- not bad but not great. When confronted about the service after our meal, the barista changed her attitude and apologized but the cashier didn’t say anything. Maybe they were just having a bad day but we probably won’t be back here again.

Just like if someone cooked you breakfast at home. I had the egg plate and it was delicious. The macchiato was perfect too.

Biscuit was amazing! Also love it that they offer vegetarian bacon and sausage. Also loved the German apple pancake. There is even a vegan, GF pastry option. Great place for breakfast!

I could eat the Cheddar Bagel sandwiches every day if my waistline would allow. They offer other delicious breakfast/lunch food and different pastries. The service is always so friendly, and its a great spot to settle down, write a few emails or meet a friend.

I’m so excited to find a place like this in Charleston! I’m used to FL cafes with outdoor seating and the coffee places you find in more populated areas. The sourdough English muffins are amazing!However prices are more than you would expect, even for a local place like this. I’m not a fan of their coffee bean brand either

Good sandwich but the wait was long

I from jersey so there is nothing like a good fresh baked bagel. When I heard about a bagel place in Charleston, I just had to order immediately. I placed order over phone for a bacon, egg and cheese bagel with a iced dirty chai. The customer service over the phone wasn’t great, but it was okay. I sent my husband to pick up the order. He called me and stated he had to park two blocks down the street, due to no parking. He then calls me back and stated he is still waiting and to confirm the drink because they wanted to make the drink fresh when we arrived, which was great but they should have had that written down and not having to ask multiple times to confirm. He said it took a very long time, but it seemed very busy, with very lil staff. Once I get my food, it was good. Just bland. But that could be me comparing to New Jersey breakfast bagels. I would still return because the texture of the bakery bagels were very good.Few days later, I decided to order same thing with a different drink, except this time the customer service over the phone was very dry and somewhat rude and rushed. I was then told that they can’t make me a breakfasts bagel at noon, which I wish that could have been stated on the website.I would say that this business could be very successful, if they hired more employees with better customer service to ALL customers. when businesses grow, so should your crew to avoid inconvenience and less stress on one cook. But because of the ladies, attitude in her voice and lack of good customer service, including not even providing an alternative but just trying to rush me off the phone. I will not be coming back. If I do not feel appreciated as a customer, you don’t deserve my support or my money..

Excellent breakfast spot in the middle of the mountains. We were looking for good quality food on our road trip. As a family that tries to keep to primarily organic diet, it was such a blessing to find this gem!

I pick up food from there all the time, was a big fan of them until today. Called to inform them of a simple mistake about no veggies on my egg plate. Was told by the woman at the counter “ okay they would let the kitchen know” very disappointed in her response in no way did we want anything for free. Lost a customer over pride. Couldn’t even offer to fix the order. Place is a joke.

The staff was friendly and the outdoor aesthetics were nice. I enjoyed the breakfast bagel. The coffee was okay, it was made nice but the bean itself didn’t have many flavor notes. There was wood debris in the Men’s restroom? And there was excess furniture scattered in random parts? It does have a welcoming atmosphere.

Everything was fresh and amazing! There were options for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters. We loved the food and tea lattes. Perfect place to grab breakfast before heading to Yeager airport!

We are in town for a college baseball game. Stopped in for a bite to eat . The lady at the counter was very pleasant but we figured out pretty quickly that the owner must be the cook who said No to our request to add mushrooms to the omelette (which they had available on the menu)Seeing most diners in the area are out of business . I would think the person of authority would have been more accommodating.

The food is delicious and the service excellent. I had a biscuit that looked and tasted much like my mothers did ... And it was gigantic. My son had to eat half of it! Great place ... Even the day old muffins and bagels are yummy. Go there!

This place has the very best breakfast sandwich Ive ever had in my life. They make their own vegan breakfast sausage (a little sweet and still savory) and gluten free English muffins (which are not half bad, but cant compare to the bagels if you did not have a gluten sensitivity). The coffee is pretty good as well. The pastries loo great, but Ive never had a reason to order anything but that breakfast sandwich! The place is not much to look at, but it had a comfy and inviting ambiance and outdoor seating.

Service was slooooow and disorganized. Brownie tasted like flour. Coffee and espresso were weak.

I just had an incredible egg sandwich on a homemade sourdough English Muffin. All I have to say is, Wow! What a way to start my day. I highly recommend this quaint and unique coffee shop on the East End. The coffee is all organic and delicious every time Ive been.

What an adorable coffee shop! We stopped here on a road trip from Richmond to Cincinnati and grabbed coffee and breakfast. The breakfast sandwiches were so tasty and the coffee was great, too. Best of all, the service was fast and friendly!

Overall a good little place. My girlfriend and I were passing through this town and didn’t want to grab breakfast at a chain restaurant. Ordered coffee and breakfast sandwiches. A little shocked by how expensive everything was but, most everything seemed home made and the sandwich was delicious. The coffee wasn’t bad.The seating area was a bit cluttered and could use some organizing. That said, some kitchen stuff that was scattered around all had organic on the labels so that was cool to see.

Cool old old interior with cozy touches. Good coffee and I had a delicious special breakfast sandwich on a freshly made bagel. It had sausage, spinach, egg, onions, tomatoes and cheese. People behind the counter were nice and cool, warned everyone in the store about the meter maid trolling to give tickets in the parking lot. Meters are $0.25 for an hour, I didnt know that before I got here so keep that in mind.

Love, love, love barista Felicia and the crew. Coffee, artisan pastries, pizzas and great locally grown, seasonal food. Everything there is always delicious and fresh. There are also a wide array of vegetarian and vegan options, including a vegetarian pepperoni roll.

Ive only had pastries and coffee here but its a very chill place and I know its very popular. There is always a good crowd.

Food was good but overpriced. Bold coffee wasnt and black tea selection limited. But there was excellent live music and the atmosphere is funky and fun.

We are from out of town and stopped here on our way back home. We had a hard time finding it because google maps took us to the parkinglot next to it but I am so glad we looked around! Came in and got a latte, both my and my friend got a pasterie and an egg sandwich. The english muffin sandwich was awesome! When we came in we were being goofy and dancing to the music and the woman at the front (Im assuming the owner) started dancing with us! If you are in charleston you have to come here for breakfast, a cute coffee shop bakery with hot food! Thank you for making us feel at home on our travels!

Staff outside smoking then I waited for a while for the end of that cigarette... No hands washed.. I asked a question about the food and the cook replied I dont know in a hateful tone... I ordered a hot drink and had to wait for the telephone to be answered and an order to be taken.... Asked for milk but received none, paid $2.70 and waited again to ask for milk.... Was given a tablespoon in a cup, had to ask for more. Why do I continue to think it will better next time?

I guess its alright if you like paying 4.50 for a weak latte, and $8 for a sausage egg and cheese sandwich. Not for me though.They also dont put up a board with their options or prices, but seem to expect you to know when you get to the register regardless. Be prepared to be looked like you have 5 heads while you try to figure out what you want, and to leave with quite the sticker shock.
