Ordered a hitch and 7 way installation in April of 2021. Hitch wasnt able to be installed until August of 2021 due to a back order in parts. They never contacted me for the initial change in this so I showed up on my original install date and was told the part was not in and that they would call me when it was. Would have been nice to know before driving down to the shop. Then August comes around and install day. I get there and they dont have the 7 way I had asked for in my initial order. They add that on as an additional fee. Fine, seems like the corporate phone order service person cant hear very well so at least they can add this on at the shop. I get the car back form the shop and all seems ok. Next day car check engine light comes on and then wont start. Turns out the installers did not replace the nut on the negative battery post after installing the 7 way. This led to me having to get my car towed and serviced at the dealership to correct the issue. Never will I recommend U-Haul again for this kind of service. Nothing but poor communication and incompetent employees.

This location was by far the worst location I have ever dealt with. I rented a truck for a week paid upfront for the estimated costs. I ended up needing it for longer period of time so I called five or more times to receive different extensions. Then I came down with COVID. 19. Long story shorter they are not very on top of things. If your able try a different location or be ready for a possible headache you didnt see coming.

The systems the team is forced to use are poor and full of problems. The staff team members however are really great and do what they can to work through Uhaul’s issues.Leaving five stars for the team. Would leave 1 star for the computer systems. Be aware the reservation system is broken. Do not count on your storage unit being available until you physically put a lock on it yourself. Shame on the #Uhaul company for such a poor software system. Hope they make changes soon for the sake of its customers.The storage units appear to be clean, secure, and trustworthy. The location is in chandler which is also on the more safe side.

Went to fill my propane tank and was quickly dismissed that they dont fill tanks on Sundays. Would be nice if they had accurate information on their website and in front of the store before people waste their time.

While waiting at the counter the gentleman “had no idea” if they had propane and I was told to ask the lady outside. This was all while there was one customer being helped, by someone else.This was especially annoying since I just came from one U-Haul that didn’t have any available.And forget about calling the store to ask ahead of time, because you will be just stuck on hold to speak to a customer service rep.Not your finest hour U-Haul.The only positive was the service from the “lady outside”. She was, at least, kind to speak with.

Horrible place to store your valuables. I helped my sister move all her stuff into 2 units took 3 days. When we were organizing her stuff in the hall way we were told we need to go somewhere else and were being evicted and needed to be out and that locks were going to be put on the doors because ww removed the metal between 2 units that we paid for and could easily replace. The man wouldnt even let us explain the situation. Worst customer sevice ever.

I really did not want to go to U-Haul for a trailer hitch installation, but after sizing up what tools I would need to do it myself, I finally decided to go there. Quick summary for those scanning: grease everywhere, dented driver door, broken tail light, and they tried to charge me 2X the agreed upon amount.I brought the brand new packaged Curt trailer hitch and Curt wiring for them to install. I was told $75 an hour for a max rate of $150. When I went to pay it was the mechanic who checked me out. He said the total would be $310. I had to explain that is not correct. Within 5 minutes he came back with $143. No issue, it was corrected.Prior to the job I wanted the mechanic to walk me through how he would install the hitch and wiring. He explained how he would get the wiring through the trunk and I would just throw it out of the trunk when I wanted to use it and then just close the trunk door on the wiring. I explained how you just pass it through the fender where it connects to the lights and it comes out the rear left panel of the vehicle and goes right to the hitch (this is the correct way from watching all the install videos when I was going to do it). It took some convincing to get him to do it the right way and he finally agreed.When inspecting the vehicle before leaving there was grease everywhere. This was already not a professional job. No big deal, I can clean it all up.After leaving I had to drop by a restaurant to pick up food. I noticed as I was walking away after parking that there was a small dent on driver side door and more grease. Whatever, the price I paid for going to U-haul. I decided to go around the back to look at things in more detail. I noticed my tail lights were sticking out. I figured he was too lazy to tighten them down and I would deal with it at home.A few days later I popped off the panels from inside the trunk to get to the tail lights to fix them. Theres no way I was going to go back to U-Haul for this. When I went to go tighten them down I realized the back left tail light had the nuts missing. They were missing because both plastic pieces where the bolt goes through were completely snapped off (seen in the picture). tail lights are not cheap. You can buy the entire assembly and the bulb separately and that is it. It is $318 to get the one tail light with the LED included and $175 to get the assembly without the LED.Anyways, worst fears confirmed. Dented car, no professional job done with grease all over the vehicle, and a completely broken tail light. They didnt have a chance to get away with doubling the rate we agreed on, but they tried. I would have called them to correct this, but me tightening down the light would have been quicker. However, the entire thing is broken, so now I would just be denied any fault since I drove off without knowing about that issue.Do not use U-Haul to install your hitch. This is the classic you try to save money, but youre going to find out quickly that not only did you not save money, but youre going to pay 3X more. Kia dealer wanted $1,000 with parts and labor. U-Haul was about $380 with the parts I brought and the labor. I would have saved money going with Kia.

Lifes easier when you store all that extra stuff that you cant get rid of but so want to keep. So rent here.

Went to refill propane tanks. When I got there, I parked by the propane station. Strangely the attendant call button had been removed. So I hiked inside (Im suffering from some ankle problems and had gone there so I wouldnt have to hike around to find help). However, when I got inside and asked if I could get some propane, the counter-person just sat there and said flatly Theres no one here that certified to dispense propane today.No apology, or explanation. Not even a sign by the propane station saying they werent doing propane today. Just sounded like they didnt want to do their jobs today and were too lazy to tell the customers.

I stopped by for help with my hitch ball they went forward and beyond thanks so much for the assistance. They saved the day for me. Thanks so much. I am a existing customer of the past and of course the future.

Awful! Rented a trailer for the day. Returned the trailer and was checked out by an employee. Three days later was charged for having the trailer for an extra three days. Which I did not, the trailer was sitting on their lot after being examined by an employee. Multiple calls and four days later a refund was issued for the one day I actually had the trailer, but as of now I am still being charged for the three days I did not. Do not use this location, very incompetent and dishonest.

Although the physical aspects of my storage time at this location have not been perfect or worthy of a 5 star assessment due to water damage, I must say that the customer service here is unparalleled. Jade is an amazing GM and does everything within her power to correct any mishap and ensure customer satisfaction.You never know when weather can damage a building and subsequently, your stuff, and that could happen anywhere, but you definitely wont find a staff or a manager this helpful just anywhere. Even amidst the current Corona Pandemic, customer satisfaction is still the primary focus here.

I have done several of my moves with this location in past 7years. They always help you in any way possible. They Give amazing customer service. I rarely write reviews but I know they deserve the recognition. Hard to go anywhere else when my experiences are all steller. Highly recommend trying them out. I am never disappointed.

Jade and Dude Man were awesome to work with. They came out and made sure the trailer was the right size for what I needed, and they also gave me flexibility on the return time due to the trailer not being rented out after me. Im coming back for sure, and I would recommend this Uhaul to others as well.

This location refills propane tank but will not purge my new tank. If you have a new tank, dont come here. I had a new 5lb tank so I guess the $4 sale wasnt good enough or they were unwilling to do proper customer service.

Horrible Customer Service at this Uhaul location. Called me on the day of our move to tell me they don’t have our truck or trailer at that location. Sent me to another one in Sun Lakes (15/20 min the other direction away that I was going) and they gave me a $30 credit and the extra miles to go get it. First of all Very inconvenient second I spoke with Lucas and told her that $30 was unacceptable because of this inconvenience and she said they would do better. I got to the second location and Nope no other discount but the $30 and we tried calling and Nope No answer 3 times(sent it to 800 service) Got to second location and they had the truck and trailer and when we got in it it Smelled so bad of cigarette smoke and was filthy that we had to decline and have them find me yet another location that had one. finally Got one in back in Chandler at yet again another location. I would NEVER recommend this Location as they ruined a whole day that should have been a easy transaction. I will be Reaching our to their corporate office and leaving a complaint with them as well.

They save my move. I needed a truck and they had one. People were courteous. All I ask for. Not to mention the price was right.

Loved that it had indoor a/c storage units and ability to pay online. Very convenient, also had 24hr access card with video surveillance.

Good shop. Been here multiple times for daily rentals of trailers and trucks. Equipment is always functional and works as advertised.

First I went to the location at 48th st. & Chandler and made a reservation with Steven for a large truck. He told me to pick it up at Chandler & Kyrene and he ran my card for 161.70. I went to pick up my truck at the location Steven sent me to only to be told by Richard that they dont have a truck for me. After 20 minutes of Richard trying to figure out what went wrong and blaming Steven for the error he finally suggested a smaller truck. Another 20 minutes goes by and he finally booked my rental. We told him how long we needed it and that it wouldnt be a 24 hour rental he went back and made more changes on the computer. We told him that we want to drop it off at the Country Club location since our destination was on the same road. We were told that location cant take the truck back and that we needed to go to the one on Gilbert Rd to return it. This was a lie because we could have taken the truck back to that location. He ran my card for the second time for 142.80. We finally got out of there 55 minutes later. Never knew renting a truck was so hard but Richard seemed helpful so we didnt question him. When we finally brought it back on Saturday the 2nd after filling up the gas tank we were told that the final charge should only be $142.80 and that the initial hold of 161.70 would drop off my account. Needless to say that on Monday the 4th the 161.70 cleared my bank and I had an additional charge of 142.80. Got it corrected thru customer service but I wont be dealing with U-Haul in the future.

Ive used these guys three times and theyve always been super courteous and very fast getting in and out.

By far the worst Uhaul location Ive ever had to deal with! Their staff is completely incompetent.Dont trust your belongings to be safe if youre storing there! Your unit will be broken into and they have shady drug addicts in the building overnight.

Garbage service.useless. Good luck trying to get a hold of somone on the phone. Was on hold for about 15 min and transferred 3 times.

Dealt with incompetence on multiple occasions with their employees all the way up the manager. When they are in the wrong they will either get rude or go on a power trip and make up rules to cover themselves. Treat your customers with respect.

Hassle free rental pickup and keydrop but didnt have their card swipe machine working - manually keyed the cc details.

Ridiculously pricey for a very short in town move. They nickel and dime you on every little thing. Would not recommend.
