Chill vibes spot for do it yourself frozen yogurt. Nice variety of flavors like green tea, honeydew, mango, taro. Toppings are decent too.

Froyo was delicious. Pineapple was a bit tangy, but I enjoyed it. Mango and Vanilla were perfect. Lattes were also amazing. Though it is self serve, you need to wear disposable gloves, so it’s safe on that aspect. The toppings are just laying out, so probably not the safest, but beyond that I’d recommend

Like the place for a warm coffee , soothing bubble tea and froyos. They have socially distant indoors seating and couple of board games for a fun evening with friends.

I would recommend this place more for the location. Grab a drink, go upstairs, sit by the window overlooking the Green and Wright crossing. Nice place to work. Bubble tea is okay, could be better. Im not a big fan of ice cream or froyo, so cant tell.

Everything seemed sanitary, they had gloves to use for filling up froyo cups. Loved the pineapple and popping boba combo!

Cocomero u know very good. I like the taste of the frozen yogurt. One question, why is it called frozen yogurt when it is like yogurt, milk, and cream????? Anyways, I give five stars because I gain 5 pounds after eating this for every meal. Overall, what you gained from reading this is that the frozen yogurt is very tasty here. If you are visiting for some reason(idk why you would visit this town), go here at least once. Okay thank you for reading i may or may not appreciate it.

Definitely the best FroYo Cafe in town. All of their drinks are delicious and have many different choices. The goldfish that they sell is made there and is a must try.

Absolutely Love this place!! It is located right at wright and green intersection, by Alma mater. Very approachable for students. You can get frozen yogurt here or just bubble teas/ smoothies. Love all the flavors here but honeydew froyo and smoothie are must try! You have a variety of toppings for froyo including fruits, chocolates, brownies, cheesecake bites, mochi, poppings and the list goes on..and all at a decent price! Good seating arrangement, both inside or outside. You can also walk to quad which is less than a block away and enjoy cocomero. Overall, the best place to kill the heat!

I like strawberry and plain frozen yogurt.I noticed that they are low fat, which pleased me. But I would have preferred to know their exact calories.

Easily the best frozen yogurt I have ever had in terms of flavor, consistency, and texture. I appreciated the choices available and the large topping bar.

Love the selection of froyo (the taro flavour is one of my favourites) and the toppings as well. Also, the fact that its located so centrally on campus makes it really easy to get to.

This place has so many unique flavors that anyone should try. The atmosphere in the shop is very cozy, which makes it an amazing place to hangout with family or friends. My favorite flavor is taro since Its extremely creamy and very fragrant. Definitely check this place out!

I went here during move in day (my oldest sons first trip to college!) We needed a nice refreshment and this did the trick. I had the Mocha Smoothie (basically a mocha frappe) and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife and son had the bubble tea and they really liked it. And of course they had some frozen yogurt. We all left with a smile on our faces!

First time I have had frozen yogurt and Cocomero was definitely the place to go! Lots of toppings and flavors. The inside of the restaurant was modern and well-furnished.

We were instantly greeted and offered help if we had any questions. Maybe actual hot fudge would we good on my opinion. I like to tip especially for students who are working so to my surprise there is no tip jar. Not cool.

The good:The yogurt flavors vary widely, so everyone should be able to find something they like. They have fruit flavors, dessert-y flavors (chocolate, cheesecake, etc.). They have a wide variety of toppings (fruit, candy, brownie bits, boba, etc.) and they are all fresh.The bad:- Primarily, the service. Its terrible. The cashier was really smarmy and acted like he didnt care if we were there or not. Actually, he acted like hed rather that we just left, like we were interrupting his break. I tried contacting the management, but never received any response.- They dont let you taste any flavors, In fact, the cashier tried to tell me that it was against the law. So I made my own taster of about a golf-ball size amount in a cup. They charged me $0.70. Apparently, the weight of the cup adds to the cost.- Its pretty expensive - $0.50 / ounce. My 2 kids and I each got the smallest bowls that they offer, filling them less than half full, and our total was over $14.

Most known for their frozen yogurt, this place also has a lot of other delicious treats. Their frozen yogurt is decent enough, with some staple flavors and a couple of rotating. Their toppings are varied and are usually kept fresh and filled. Their Bubble Teas, while not their main attraction, is actually very good, though there are other places that focus on Bubble Tea, this place is somewhere to consider. Dont just let the fact that theyre known for Frozen Yogurt limit what you order here, lots of their other treats are just as good if not better than other places around. Their interior has also improved a lot to be more vibrant and modern.

Awesome place to get frozen yogurt on campus! Definitely can get crowded, so if youre planning on eating at the location, be prepared to fight for seats during really popular times, especially upstairs where people tend to stay to do work at the tables. Excellent frozen yogurt and sorbet. The toppings bar also has a great variety.

Delicious yogurt with nice toppings, like mint Oreo, nutty bars, chocolate peanut butter cookies, and red bean paste. Bubble tea was nice. Did not try the waffle fish but wish I had. Son can attend UIUC and if he does Ill be eat here when i visit.

Always love it when I go there. There are a lot of flavors to choose from - you would have to decide on your best cos I dont like them all, but there are also a ton of add-ons. Great place!

OH. MY. GOD. WHY IS THIS HALFWAY ACROSS THE CONTINENT FROM MEEEEEEEEEEE? Every time I go visit my step daughter at college everyone else goes out to eat to have like steak or delicious soup or pizza or WHATEVER real food, and pretty much I just want to go to Cocomero. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Only Mixx beats it, and thats in Boston. Im in Tucson. Why is all the best frozen yogurt in cold places???????

Good yogurt with lots of fresh toppings. The beverage service needs a better system to notify patrons when their drink is ready - something basic like a number they would call out. When we visited, the employees announced the name of the beverage and they were not speaking clearly enough so it caused a lot of confusion.

Great range of flavours but more impressive was the wide selection of fresh fruit toppings. The rest of the range of toppings were really good too. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Planning another visit there soon.

Cocomeros frozen yogurt is great. I dont like that they are seasonal. It is largely over-priced. I love the coloring of the building and the creative artwork and seating. I love that there is two floors. I bring my friends there for celebrations of all types and I love that it is in the middle of college campus because you can feel the electricity in the air. :)

I had been a relatively frequent customer of Cocomero before they renovated their building, but I have only been there once since. The new space is incredibly decorated. I feel like I teleported out to a hip shop on the West coast. Ive gotten all different kinds of frozen yogurt, bubble tea, and even their Belgium Waffle once - its all very good. Its a bit more expensive than Id prefer, but its worth it if you have the money.

Nice frozen yogurt shop, probably the best one on campus. There is enough choice of flavors, both fruity and not. I didnt enjoy the pistachio one, it had this strange artificial taste which pistachio flavor tends to have if it is not prepared well. Others were good. They have good toppings too. The coffee there is terrible: I tried an iced Macchiato and it was neither iced nor Macchiato. The yogurt is nice though, the inside of the store is clean and there is enough space, the service is nice. So 4 stars.

The ice cream is good but the person there was very unfriendly. They dont allow samples but you can try things out of your bowl that you pay for. But, when I asked for a spoon to try it, they refused to give me one, saying you get a spoon after you pay, so I had to use my hands to try the different flavors. Just a knock off red mango with worse service.

Was visiting the U of I campus for math team state. Decent prices it was really busy which was to be expected. Great selection of yogurts and toppings. They also have pastries and bubble tea.

This Cocomero is a local phenomenon. They kick out delicious fro yo and toppings at a great location with comfortable but modern style. Its a great break from the everyday, and a wonderful treat year round.

I still love Coco. They’re the OG. I used to work there last year so I know how things are made. They’re the only smoothie place left on campus that uses real fruit... others use purees or “from concentrate” or juice.It’s still a great place but Nic sucks.He’s been there for ~1 year now and every time he makes a smoothie it tastes so weird. It’s always lacking flavor (everything tastes watered down and like there’s just too much ice and you can’t taste the fruits/powders). I always double check who is making the drinks before I order one. But sometimes he cannot be avoided. Today, sadly was another disappointing experience after he made my smoothie. He’s been working there long enough to figure out how to make a smoothie. At least he’s consistent in his flavorless, watered down creations.

Pour your own, top on your own frozen yogurt place. Yogurts are solid with very good variety of flavors and toppings. All of other menu items are kinda meh though. Theyre ok but not worth making trip over for unless youre getting yogurts any way.

Hello - I’m writing this to inform everyone about this Cocomero location and how terribly the owner, Colin Kim, treats his employees.I was a former employee at another location that Colin used to own and recently sold. He still owns this current location.To sum everything up into a shorter, condensed version, Colin is withholding almost $1000 in tips from me and my other co-workers and is refusing to pay us these tips even though we found them in a bag inside the safe labeled “Employee Tips”. He says he is not obligated to pay us these as we are not tip-based employees; however the new Illinois Federal Wage laws say otherwise. He also has never paid us time and a half for working overtime and holidays, which is illegal. He says he doesn’t owe us that pay either. He paid us in cash for a long time because he didn’t want to deal with the IRS, which is ALSO illegal.Colin is Korean and there were many other Korean employees working there; however they made $4 more an hour than the American employees. We did the same exact tasks at Cocomero and had the same responsibilities yet he showed favoritism towards them simply because they are Korean. He is showing discrimination in the workplace based on race and giving unequal pay.Colin would also continuously approach the female American employees working and come up behind us putting his hand on our backs and rubbing where our bra straps were. This made us extremely uncomfortable but didn’t know who to tell as this is a franchise solely owned by him; there is no corporate. Cocomero also has violated many health codes in the past.The owner does not treat his employees well at all, disrespects them, and does not care about customers. He only cares about himself and the money he can scam off of people by being sneaky (i.e. your yogurt cup is not tared when you weight it so you are paying for the whole cup which I also learned is illegal in the frozen yogurt business).I urge everyone who reads this to please no longer support this business. There are way better frozen yogurt places in the area that will treat their employees with respect and be honest.

2.5 really, Im being nice. Pro: late hours, good chai tea latte, the selection that they do have of frozen yogurt is pretty good and the selection of toppings is pretty good. Lots of seating. Cons: expensive prices, one particular guy who works there is so rude it prevents me from going in because I just dont want to deal with him. Should have more selections for the frozen yogurt, and they should allow you a spoon so you can taste it. Companies kind of cheap. There seating is so uncomfortable

Great selection on everything froyo you can imagine. Toppings/flavors/what have you... I thought it was expensive but had two big kids (one much over 18yrs old with me lol). I dont see why you would go anywhere else in town unless you conceal carry and dont go on campus (which makes me un-comfortable, criminals conceal carry everywhere...)

The bubble tea is my favorite in Champaign, and the froyo is great too. Good place to meet for homework or just to chill. The selection of tea is expansive as well.

The texture of the yogurt changes time by time. When I eat them in summer, it was not smooth enough which I dont like. However, when I eat them in winter, its smooth!!!!

Always coming back for bubble tea- coconut is yummy.
