I was looking for some local garlic to sample and possibly grow. I picked up three bulbs but the only thing they could tell me about it is that it came from a farm in Shippensburg. I dont even know what kind of garlic it is. It feels easy has a very very mild flavor and roasts up very nicely.Not great bulbs but if youre just looking for a little hint of garlic I would recommend.

This place is great! Bakery, precooked foods, baking supplies, ice cream, deli / grille counter its got everything and its all good! Stopping in near Christmas is my favorite. You can get real fruit cake that tastes good and cookies like your grandma used to bake.

Great ice cream and friendly staff. Possibly the best ice cream in the area. They have a nice play area for the kids with good rubber padding in the playground with swings, tables in the shade, and more. Thanks for keeping up the good work. Many of their items are priced well, but many are also higher than other stores in the area. Hopefully theyll start offering some good discounts to stay competitive and keep people going back for more!

This is such a wonderful place for ice cream! They have produce and groceries. Kids play area is good for kids of all ages. Fall decor items are amazing!

Nice selection of good quality locally made ice cream. And nice variety off bulk dried goods. Some off the prices are higher than other local markets.

Windy knoll has great soft pretzels and sandwiches. Their ice cream is great too. They have a wonderful outdoor area for kids to play and adult seating.

This is the best ice cream I have ever ate. I tried the orange creamsicle, cotton candy and peanut butter. They were all SOOO good. The creamiest Ive ever had. Now my husband is hooked.

I enjoy coming here. They make some great hoagies and they serve some really delicious ice cream. They have a great selection of old fashioned candies, pickling supplies and seasonings. Its a nice country store.They have some baked goods. We bought a small coconut pie and lemon meringue pie. They were okay but theyre not as good as Naomis Bakery inside of Jims Country Market and almost twice the price. Personally, I think the prices are a little high for some of the items.Also, there will be an upcharge on your purchase if you pay with a credit card so make sure you bring cash!Its a nice place for a hoagie, some ice cream or some specialty items but be ready to spend a little more.

We are from out-of-town and got great service here. A wonderful selection of fresh deli meats and cheeses at reasonable prices, not to mention local produce and some awesome frozen custard. We will definitely be visiting again! ☺

Take out, eat in or in picnic area. Dont miss Fasnaught Day (a.k.a. Mardi gras; a.k.a. Shrove Tuesday) for the best Penn Dutch style doughnuts. The store take reservations for dozens of these; also at Thankgiving, Christmas, Easter, Valentines for pies and dinner fixings. Beautiful and hearty potted fresh flowers in spring, summer, fall. Downsides: be prepared for full retail pricing, and they charge % age for credit card purchases, so it saves to take cash.

Great ice cream but pricey

I’ve stopped here several times for odds and ends. They have something for every mood. The take home sweets they bake are my kryptonite! Standing here thinking if I’ve ever had apple crisp this good in my life. Will be a loyal customer from here on out. Never a letdown walking through the doors. Always friendly staff who take the time to talk to us.

Good food but a little expensive

Absolutely the best ice cream Ive ever had. The strawberry cheesecake is my favorite, vanilla with chunks of cheesecake and tangy strawberries. The store is great, found a curry powder mix I cant wait to try. Also bought beautiful nectarines today. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

They have really great ice cream with changing flavors from time to time so it doesnt get boring. You can enjoy your food outside and there is a Nice playground for your children too!

Best creamery for fresh made ice cream, and any dairy youre looking for. The deli offers great pressure cooked chicken and homemade pretzels that are melt in your mouth delicious! In season fruits and vegetables are always available.

Some of the best ice cream in Franklin County! Seasonal flavors are amazing (Cherry Grande, Summer Berry, etc) and the normal flavors are excellent, too! Always a struggle to pick which ones to take home. The soft pretzel braids are the best Ive ever had! Fried chicken is delicious, too!

Great little place with lots of bulk items and some of the best ice cream in Franklin county.

The have a great staff and a really nice building with a modern antique barn type look. He good is always great, their made to order fried chicken is the best that I have ever had, my wife cooks good fried chicken and she even said that theirs is better than hers. Their creamed ice cream is the best, its real creamy and never has ice in it.

This is a excellent little store! They make quite a bit of their own food, desserts and ice cream, (try the Peanut Butter Cup!). They have a small candy room as well as offering what produce is in season and sometimes even if its not in season, (they had strawberries just the other day). One of my favorites is the veggie pizza!

Its the best. Very clean. Cashiers and deli people and restaurant people are wonderful. Fruit and vegetables are so fresh. Prepared food is delicious. We eat here often. They have a lot of brands you cant find elsewhere. Guggisburg baby eye Swiss cheese in deli is best Ive ever had. They have an Amish butter cheese. Excellent ! They have lots of items to make your own soups and lots of home made noodles. We love going here. 👍👍

Just visited the market, but I have heard the subs and ice cream are awesome. Market has bulk foods and lots of candy. Some unique baking items. Specialty mixes to make your own soups and such.Not many baked goods, I was surprised. Some cookies, only a few pies, and some other random items.Produce quite expensive, and not all local.Small deli for lunch meat, it appeared to be popular.Staff was friendly.Worth wandering around to potentially find some unique foods, but not a place I would go for actual groceries, even staple items.

Cute store. I really like the concept. However, my complaint is windy knolls put high fructose corn syrup in their ice cream. I thought it was homemade with quality ingredients. I just can’t believe that they would substitute sugar for high fructose corn syrup. What ever happened to quality and integrity.

Only in town for the week and weve been here twice already. Deli and restaurant are delicious. Ice cream outstanding. Nice atmosphere and clean. Grocery section is full of fresh produce and a nice selection of quality ingredients. And the homemade desserts....I have to ask if they ship. Im gonna miss this place when we go back to Florida.

Love this place! I’ve only visited the restaurant portion but it is always clean, good service, GREAT value, and tasty food with lots of choices. The ice cream is the best I’ve ever had. Wish we lived closer as I’m sure I would do shopping in the grocery area from time to time, too, but we at least love any excuse to grab some ice cream and maybe even a meal when we’re up this way!

The ice cream is amazing! The lunch meat is very fresh and cheaper than you will get anywhere around Chambersburg. The people are very polite. It’s a great spot for lunch, ice cream, or to shop for some items at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend! Also the mums for fall are amazing looking there!

When I arrived home, I was able to take off the sale price label. The original price was $3.45. This experience and the customer service on the phone has left a bad taste in my mouth.This is how Christians get a bad name.
