I went into CVS on Pickwick road yesterday around noon to get my third COVID shot. I was turned away, because I didnt have an appointment. No one was waiting in line, they had about five or six people in the pharmacy area and they didnt look busy at all. It took a few minutes for anyone to acknowledge me. I told the pharmacist, on the web-site I went through vaccines.gov, walk-ins were welcome. She was very unfriendly and didnt offer me any appointment times to come back. Ill no longer step foot in that CVS. Ive cancelled all of my e-mail from CVS. Ill only go to Walgreens where they greet you with a smile and are eager to always help.

I read many of the reviews and I agree with some of it, but I want to temper them a little. The CVS is always, always slammed. They have people waiting at the window, in the Pharmacy and at the Health center. And I feel the employees are super stressed by never having a break. They are under staffed in the pharmacy, but I’ve seen up to 6 people working at once and barely keeping up. And there really isn’t enough room for more than 6. It’s too bad CVS didn’t add to the pharmacy instead of adding the clinic. I think they built that store to a cvs standard and it turned out to be way more busy than they ever thought it would.Now I have been with them a long time and have left and come back a couple of times. I come back for 1 reason and that is 24 hour service. I go at 12 midnight to pick up prescriptions and I don’t deal with lines. If I go Friday night or Saturday I’m going to wait for a while.I have needed a favor related to my job from CVS and the female pharmacist who’s name escapes me (I’m sorry) was very nice about it. It was something that needed to be addressed immediately and I called and she knew me by name and helped me right away.I know that won’t always happen as I’ve seen the phone not get answered as well but I can’t forget the kindness she gave me that day.So I think they are too busy for the staffing, but the staffing is limited by the space which can make them a little crabby, but not always. When they have time they are happy to help.

I’ve been to probably 100 different cvs locations across my short lifetime, this one at the bottom. Staff is not friendly and unable to answer basic questions (where items are or how to even checkout properly). The card readers are virtually dangling on their mounts at the counter. Take a look behind the pharmacy for a good idea of how “organized” this store is. There is nothing redeeming about this location, even the staff do not want to be here. The minute clinic is just as useless as the rest of the store, I wouldn’t trust them with my health. Good luck!

The communication in their system is lame. I took my 2nd dose of Covid vaccine a day earlier than schedule. I keep receiving msgs that I missed the 2nd does . I call to tell them and I was told that they dont control is corporate who sends the msgs. This is just an ex. on how bad their service is. ALWAYS an objections. Many time I received a msg saying my sons recurring prescription was ready and at pick up they did not have it nor they knew why I received the msg earlier. They should update their software.

Horrible! Simply horrible! I’m shocked by the disorganization of rudeness pharmacy staff! I can’t believe any entity/business is able to maintain the existence with such chaos!I was on my doctor’s case for a couple of days because this particular CVS Pharmacy was telling me that they needed doctor’s authorization, when in fact they had the authorization the whole time. After all that was sorted out, they still wouldn’t give me the medication I need badly. They now said they needed an authorization from insurance. After speaking with insurance and being assured that it was sent, guess what??? They still claimed that they didn’t have the insurance authorization! I forced to call the insurance in my presence, and only then, I got the medication.

We tried to get a flu shot for our autism son today, it tool more than 30’ after my husband raise his complain about timing and The manager of.pharmacy departments said she doesnt feel comfortable to give a flu shot for our server autism son. What in the world right now when she stands in a professional job and what wrong with autism kid. The CVS store and special the manager of the pharmacy department own my son an apology. We will transfer all our.family prescription to another store with better service and be kind to special need people.

If I could give this pharmacy 0 stars, I would. The pharmacist Zaki Mahmoud is EXTREMELY rude and should not be in customer service. I tried to run my medication through a new insurance, and when it was rejected, he said is that all cause I gotta go. That is so unprofessional and should not be tolerated. Will NOT be returning to this pharmacy, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

If theres such a thing as less than a one star Id post it. This location has to be the WORST location to get your prescriptions done. I often get calls for a prescription refilled whereas Ive never enrolled in auto refills. The latest one is a call for a refill today on a pain killer of which I will never ask for a refill without first consulting my doctor. I checked the transaction out if anything was initiated from my doctors clinic and there was one. Guess what, the error most likely originated from the CVS Pharmacy at Pickwick location. Surprise surprise. Its a painkiller CVS people, even if its an NSAID type, doctors would always be cautious in giving out painkillers. I tried calling the pharmacy itself but their automated answering service should be called as an automated customer inquiry firewall. Im moving out! Sorry CVS, you lost not just one but three customers today!

The minute clinic is literally a headache. If you call for help or have questions, they will not care and say “do it online”. I tried to get a covid test before my trip, and have to go somewhere else because there are literally no options for Covid-19 anything on their site.Avoid the frustration and go somewhere else if you want to get a covid test

The lady at the drive through has spoken to me several times on the phone in the past week. She has been very short and rude with me. I understand during this time there are a lot of patients she is attending to. But that is not an excuse to have consistently poor customer service every time I interact with her.

This pharmacy deserves 0 star or even negative to the negative stars. Waited 3 hours for the medicine of my sick child. Waited on the phone for almost 40 minutes twice and still not ready. What kind of customer service is that?? Clearly they do not care about their customers. DO NOT COME TO THIS PHARMACY! My pharmacy is Walgreens but bec of my new insurance, i had no choice but to go to CVS. I will never ever come back here. Id rather drive far to another CVS and be sure that customer service will be great!

Awful. This is nit the first time. I dropped off my prescription 4 days ago. I knew that it was non formulary and was expensive. I came to pick it up and it was nit ready they had to rein out the insurance info which should have been Current and they did nit fill it because of a question about the cost. No o e called me to ask anything. Now I have to wait another 15 minutes for the pharmacist to fill the prescription. Unbelievable !

Id like to give Kudos for the cashiers and minute clinic staff in this location. They have been great and friendly. If youre going to this location to get over the counter top medication or Minute Clinic, thats great. But if youre here for pharmacy, find different locations if possible. The pharmacy staff are a completely different story. Ive had a great experience with two staff members there - Eric and Ivan so far They -last 3 years. This is probably the busiest location around this area. Do your favor and choose different pharmacy location if possible.Customer service from the pharmacy staff is inconsistent. I once got yelled at for asking a question. When I finally got the medication, there was no explanation of how to take the antibiotics- some are different from some others or nothing. Therd has been some nice staff but mostly, very poor attitude and you can feel youre bothering them. Being nice to sick people or the family of sick people is not that hard, especially, you get paid for that.Its been a hit and miss with this location.

I constantly have issues getting prescriptions filled here. Couple that with the long wait times and pharmacy staff that act like emotionless robots or just plain rude, its not worth going here. Save yourself some hassle and go to Walgreens just down the road.

The staff at the pharmacy let me stand in one place for half an hour after I gave them my prescription. They completely forgot to handle me while I just stood in front of them coughing as they checked out several people in line after me. Very rude staff, almost feel like Abeer and Lishaun deliberately let me wait there until the pharmacist herself eventually asked me what I needed. Not really sure what I did to them..

Every time I arrive, someone greets me from the register. I find staff at this CVS very friendly and helpful. I regularly come here for my prescriptions and there is always a pleasant person behind the counter at the prescriptions desk no matter how crazy busy. When they are busy, they work to hustle to have more staff checking customers out. This was not always the case,. I have seen customer service dramatically improve over the last 6 months and I felt a need for there improvements to be acknowledged with this review.

I took my mom there b/c she was suffering from heartburn and indigestion. I asked the pharmacist for recommendation. She quickly yelled out some names and pointed the direction where to find it. Her attitude was she was very busy to speak slowly so we had to listen to her word to word and find the product ourselves. After going around several aisle we found one of the brand of anti-acid pill. When we asked her if she recommends another brand, she replied (in a loud rude voice front of other guests and her staff) ‘I already told you the names of your other choices, it’s all over there.’ No one should talk like that to a guest or to a woman who is suffering from stomach pain. That moment I decided this will be the last time I’ll be using the CVS pharmacy at Pickwick Rd, Centreville, VA. I didn’t get the name of the rude lady but she is the black lady pharmacist in the back, maybe in her 40’s.

CVS has a great app and great sales in their store but the customer service at this particular pharmacy is virtually non-existent. Its not unusual to be on hold for 20-30 minutes before reaching a pharmacy staff member on the phone, prescription refills are always delayed, and today when I called to check on the status of a routine refill that i requested 10 days before I run out of the medication - I was told that it was on back-order till the end of the month. When I told the pharmacist that was a problem. He responded its not my problem. If my insurance didnt require it I would go to any other pharmacy rather than the CVS on Pickwick.

Im usually very patient and hardly leave any review or comment. I want to leave a comment this time because I was a loyal customer to CVS for 10 years and sadly, this will be my last trip to CVS.An hour after doctors apoointment, went to CVS drive through at 5 pm. Phamacist said they just received the precription please come back in an hour.I came home and called CVS Pickwick 2 times - each time, I was on a wait about 30 minutes. Never was able to talk with them. Went to CVS at 7: 40 pm. The pharmacist was looking for the script and said its not ready yet. I explained that I came at 5 pm. She said she will expedite it but still takes 10 to 15 minutes and thats the fastest they can do. There was no one behind me in line.After 15 minutes, I went in and waited in line. Now they said its not ready, they will expedite in 15 to 20 mintes. I complained he stepped back and got me the medicine in 5 minutes!!It took me 3 hours to get the bottle of amoxicillin for a sick child after 3 trips to CVS. Although long lines, not pleasant customer services of phamacy staffs, CVS had been my #1 pharmacy. But today, I could feel they did not like customers coming. Their attitude made me feel like I was there to bother them, to make them annoyed. I should not have to choose to be treated like that, especially when I or my child is sick.

This by far the worst Pharmacy in the are, always long line in the Pharmacy and barely enough people behind the counter, no one answers the phone you order a prescription refill 2 hours a head and you go there 3 hours later still not ready. No 1/2 star ratings available. The Pharmacy is horrible, my Dr. called in a RX at 3pm I opted for the text to alert me when it was filled. At 6pm I called to see if it was filled, and my call was answered promptly at 7pm. I was inform it wasn’t filled, yet; now that I had called it would be “priority” filled. I’ve decided to not hold my breath and instead spend however long looking for a new Pharmacy.

I would not recommend this place for picking up your prescriptions. I had to go back and forth between 3 windows with a screaming baby although the prescription was ready for pick up. When I inquired about it with the manager he was arrogant with his response and no apology. I hope the management here provides some basic customer service skills.

In the past couple of years that I have had my prescriptions filled at this CVS-- regardless of the time of day I go to pick up the prescription and regardless of the day of the week it is-- NOT ONCE has the pharmacy been adequately staffed and able to serve customers in a timely manner. If this pharmacy ever does employ enough staff to do a good job of serving its customers, I will strip and do a happy dance right there in the store.

I understand how they have stressed from different people. I went to there for my fathers medication. I saw guy name ED who already stressed out looking from previous customer. I dont know name of medicine but guy name ED who treat us really bad. How he act really make me feel upset. Ed teat me really bad with disrespected attitude because I dont know my fathers medicine name and my father dont know English. He printed out name of medication list from my fathers file and make us to choose.....all I want to check up for any refills. This make none sense! Personally, I do not understand the bad reviews. I have never had a bad experience at this CVS location. I have always found them to be very fast, friendly and helpful. I think this is the best pharmacy in the local area. They were more than happy to take Epipen coupons; they have special ordered prescriptions for us when other pharmacies (i.e. Walgreens) would not; they had a prescription ready in the time it took me to walk from MinuteClinic to the counter at the Pharmacy.

The text message service tells me when my prescription is ready and then I go and pick it up. When I drop off my presciption, I dont wait for it. I always come back because they are a very busy and popular pharmacy, so it can take a while. But seriously people, sign up for the text service. Its great!

This is the worse CVS in the state of Virginia and hopefully the country because I’m not quite sure how it could be possible for it to be worse. Doctors and customers complain. If I wasn’t forced by CVS Caremark to use CVS I would never go here.You can call and complain and even speak to someone who manages the region but nothing will change. I’ve tried.I’m currently on three different phones trying to get a hold of someone there. I know they aren’t busy because I just left the store. Dropped off a script here once for a small bottle of hydrocortisone lotion. Was told that the wait is 1 hr. We went to dinner and came back. Went to the drive thru and waited 1.5 hrs! Then we were told they couldnt find the bag with the lotion in it. Another 30 mins goes by... 3 hrs for a bottle of lotion. Go figure. Never again.

Honestly, probably the least friendly and absolutely the slowest pharmacy I’ve ever used. Was told me daughters prescription would take 30 minutes. So I’m waiting with a toddler with a double ear infection .... and it’s been 1.5 hrs and still no prescription. I watched them give someone the wrong medicine as well! So negligent and dangerous. Will never ever use this pharmacy again. Do not recommend ever. Go somewhere else ... anywhere else.

The pharmacy window people wouldn’t get a pregnant woman with three screaming kids in the car some diaper rash ointment. They made me park and come in. I had already waited in line. There were no cars behind me! I’ve seen other CVS locations ring people up for other items at the pharmacy window. Once I was behind an old lady who took forever because she basically had them fetch her whole shopping list for her. My request was so easy but they chose not to help. I had to park and drag all my kids inside just for that one item.Walgreens down the street is much better. Had it not been thro the drive through window I would have gone there in the first place. So, thanks for reminding me that there is no reason to go to CVS. Their prescription prices tend to be higher so I don’t use their pharmacy anyway.

Wish I read the reviews before I came here. My Dr. sent a prescription over 2 hours ago. I’ve waites patiently in the long drive-thru line and when I get up to the window Alfred is already chewing gum obnoxiously, doesn’t greet and then tells me my prescription isn’t ready, “can you go around again” so here I am again in the back of the line trying to get my daughters medicine. Too slow to be drive-thru. Will not be coming back!

To describe this CVS in a nutshell:- we ran your insurance incorrectly and you need to pay 300$, now- passive aggressive comments insinuating you are a drug addict for needing basic medication- we aren’t receiving the meds you sent over for a week, but we’re not going to tell you or let you transfer them- chronically losing scripts that your doctor sends over- basic lack of due diligence or investigating when things seem odd with a customer’s prescription- pharmacy techs do not have any training or knowledge whatsoever- pharmacist speaks rudely constantly, and tells customers they are wrong- and so on.

Stood in line trying to get a copy of a picture. The scanner tool they had for customers to use had merchandise items placed on top. I asked the lady whether I could use it and she told me it wasnt working. I asked if she could do it behind the counter for which she replied she would try. After attempting she said hold on she thought it wasnt working because of an order printing out. 7 minutes later ( after she is done ringing people up And bringing the line down) she comes back to try it again to no avail. 15 minutes waisted....

I highly suggest using a different location for your pharmacy needs! Extremely long hold times when calling in, standing in line, or trying to get in touch with any staff member. Two of my doctors offices had to call in presciptions, they told me they were on hold for over 25 minutes just waiting for someone to answer, then got put on hold for another 15 minutes. I showed up to the pharmacy 5 hours later, it was still not ready for pick up. This is the last time I’ll be using this location...

I have been going to this CVS for years and wonder why I haven’t changed pharmacies earlier. The CVS app for this location is worthless - minute clinic wait time listed as 0 minutes and after arriving 5 minutes later find that wait time is over 2 hours; prescription listed as ready and on arrival and on arrival they say it is on back-order. Able to get naturethroid from nearby Walgreens but it’s been on back order at cvs for weeks. The pharmacy cannot handle the workload and provides inadequate service. Do yourself a favor and find a better pharmacy at a Walgreens or another CVS location.

If I could give it a zero star I would. For the past week I have been trying to get a refill to my meds. The recording told me last week that it was in the process of being refilled. I called this morning to check and was given the same information. I then pushed the button to talk to a pharmacist and 20 minutes later I was still on hold. At that point, I hung up and redialed to speak to a manager. I was put on hold for another 5 minutes. I hung up, called once more, asked for the manager, when the girl who answered asked if she could put me on hold because, while the manager was right there, he was ringing someone up. I told her no, she couldnt put me on hold because I had already been on hold. She basically said I had to. When I finally spoke to the manager, he took down my information and my number to call me back after he finds out what is going on with my meds. Needless to say, I will not be picking them up this morning like I thought I would. And, this entire process took up my entire lunch hour. I will be transferring my prescriptions to the Walgreens down the street. Anything should be better than this CVS.

Well, now I know at least one reason for the bad reviews. I decided to try them for a new script for a medication that I use regularly. When I went to fill the prescription, I was told that they did not have the medication but they would order it and it would be in the next day by 3:00 PM, which was good since I only had two pills left. BUT, when I called the following day at noon, I was told, Sorry, your medication did not come in because it was not ordered. Geez, really?!

The people who work at the front are very nice and helpful. The pharmacy however is HORRIBLE. It is the worst CVS pharmacy I have ever been to. They are not helpful in the least bit and take forever to help you in person, if you try to call on the phone expect to be on the phone waiting for at least an hour. Update: After waiting for 2 hours at the Centreville CVS to be helped with a transfer (and still not being helped), I went to the Fairfax CVS in Greenbriar and they helped me in 15 minutes. I will never be going back to the Centerville CVS again.

Thought I was actually moving up when transferring my prescription from Walmart to CVS. Walmart loves to sneak in the generic without telling you, and CVS has what I need which is why I transferred. Ah, I was assured that this would be an easy transition, and they were more convenient. Its day 3 and no one ever called me for my status. I followed up to discover that my prescription has been waiting on me. The lines are terribly long, limited staff. Makes me miss the family owned pharmacy which is where I may be heading!

This pharmacy is the absolute worst in the area. The pharmacist on duty is unfriendly, curt, and insensitive to what’s happening around her. She is supported by a pair of folks that can’t operate independently. It took over 20m to check iout and the people doing the checking out had to refer to each other and the pharmacist every 30 seconds or so. Incompetence and a major attitude make us never want to use this place again. Forced to come here by United Healthcare rules otherwise I’d never come back. The good people at Walgreens a block away are wonderful. CVS needs a better caliber of staff that are far more customer-service oriented at this location.

This is specifically for the pharmacy as Ive been a customer off and on for over a decade! Super expedient and efficient, I rarely have to wait long at all and customer support over the phone was fantastic confirming details of medications that were in stock and out of stock whereas most other CVSs I called basically gave me the silent treatment. Ive never had to use the 24/hr service or drivethru but Im sure other people would appreciate those amenities. I HIGHLY recommend using the CVS APP since you get notifications on when medications are ready as well as a LASER QUICK checkout as they scan the unique barcode for your medication on the app! Lastly since CVS bought Aetna for 69 billion, being an Aetna customer it has made transactions between Insurance Company and Pharmacy absolutely SEAMLESS!In reference to the front, there is one lady that stands out who is above and beyond Friendly in a genuine manner even when everyone else is miserable because of the atrocious weather. I appreciate the small things like (the warm greeting when you walk in) It really makes a difference!

If your picking up a prescription, get ready for a surprise, whether it be checking on the status of a medication or if something needs filling, anything. I get CVS VM’s asking if I would like the following prescriptions filled, I say yes, it says it’s being filled and when it’s ready, yet I go and show up and they have no recollection of any medication I’m talking about. Then just the excuse game. They are quick to not mention the phone number and prescription discount and when you mention it after you’ve realized they didn’t remind you nor ask and you want that discount added, they really don’t like when you do that. The drive thru is pure torture and every staff member, except for 4 is very abrasive. I don’t do reviews but this cvs really needs to be swept up a bit. Put some money into that.

Imagine you have a sick infant and you go to pick up your prescribed medicine and wait for an excessively long time for it to be ready only to go home and find out that it wasnt properly prepared. Or its the wrong medicine. Now imagine that you call said pharmacy, and have to stay on hold for OVER AN HOUR to actually speak to a pharmacist. And the pharmacist only picked up after your spouse called to speak with the store manager to physically GO TO the pharmacy and demand that someone pick up the d*** phone so your sick child can get his medicine. Only a parent of a sick child can imagine what hell this is. CVS---after having numerous bad experiences with terribly long wait lines, absurdly long hold times, rude employees, receiving the wrong medication, and receiving an unmixed powder for an infant medication---we are 100% done with you and switching to Walgreens. This pharmacy is terrible.

Went there Sunday night at 10:30 to fill antibiotic for sick child. Mr. Bob the pharmacist told me that my coverage ended on 12/31/2014. I was like that’s impossible as a CFO of my company I personally pay premium for the group plan. He looked at me as if I was the biggest fool on the planet and kept saying coverage is expired. Finally, printed a paper to show me that the coverage was expired. Guess what? He was refilling for someone who lives in Manassas and is 23 years old. After I pointed it out to him fixed his mistake with an attitude and without any apology. This place needs basic Customer Service and attention to detail training!!

This is the worst Pharmacy drive thru service in town. Do not understand the extended wait time. Drive thru is supposed to expedite the pick up time. On top of that, they did not give me all my meds. Waited 30 minutes maybe more...

So, so ,so bad. I went to pick up my moms prescribition waited in the drive thru, said it be 15 minutes so I told them I was coming in to wait. Got to the pharmacy inside gave them all the information again, waited as people started getting called one by one I was waiting for 30 minutes when I heard a lady in the pharmacy go I have 22% left on my phone, will that last me the rear of the hour?. So mad I got up and demanded to know why I was waitingingredients this long and no lie, the lady goes Oh thats why youre waiting.. Ive refused to ever go back here, this was just disrespect.

Called in on Friday to see if they had the name brand of my prescption in stock and was advised they do. Stopped by after work to drop off the prescription and was advised that they had to get my doctors pre-approval to fill the prescription and faxed the request without asking if I would like this option. Called them on Monday to see if they received my doctors approval and was advised that they dont have the prescription in stock because they dont keep the name brand on hand and wont have it until tomorrow or Wednesday. Update...my doctor advised she never recieved the request from them.

Horrible service in drive tru pharmacy I waited for 10 min for help after I waited they told me my prescription was not ready and advised me to drive around because they had 1 costumer behind me waiting as well, I told her I have a new born baby (3wks old )at home waiting for me and she did not seeing to care that she threat me that they had call police officer before because people did not want to drive around. How professional can that be and upseating is when they threat me and on top of that did not get my prescription fill. HORRIBLE COUSTUMER SERVICE I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN! I guess for being Latino you can get threated like that no fear. Im a US citizen and I do not need this type of treatment from anyone.

TERRIBLE COSTUMER SERVICE!!!!!! They made me to wait for more than an hour with my little one, just to tell me that they were out of stock of my prescription medication??? I had approached them during that wait time a few times though just to check if its ready, and every time they said - it would be ready in 10 minutes. If they were out of stock, what was going to be ready in 10 minutes??And then they billed the insurance for the medication I was never told to pick up, as a result I couldnt get it with a new prescription from different pharmacies.I will never ever go there again and spend a penny in that store.

I called a week ahead to confirm my 3 month olds prescription would be ready. At the drive through the extremely rude girl not only told me the prescription wasnt ready. she said they had no information about my sons prescription and there was nothing she could do. Keep in mind I CONFIRMED it, after i waited 20 minutes on hold a week before and she said okay it will be ready Friday horrible horrible customer service.
