An employee who was interacting within 6ft of others was not wearing a mask while roaming the first floor. High risk elderly shoppers walked in and out but the employee remained maskless. This location is not taking safety measures seriously, which can encourage the spread of COVID-19 to the community.**To readers: please share if individual stores are not safe for shopping. Though business are able to reopen with safety protocols, stores that do not enforce them are a danger to us all.**

Great store! Very helpful staff and high quality products. It doesnt have a lot of variety of the same product, but it has all the essentials! Very refreshing to go to a nice local shop that focus on high quality useful products and good service (instead of pretty junk no one really needs)!

Great store full of all sorts of super useful things! Much more than just hardware store and super helpful staff! They were able to help me find the right size screw to fix my bike and dresser, and I also stocked up on kitchen tools, bathroom accessories, command hooks, a bungee for my bike, etc.!

Dickson Brothers has a terrific range of products and for years has been my go-to in Cambridge when Ive needed hardware or household supplies. Ive found the associates working in the store to be helpful and friendly, always willing to answer my question and steer me in the right direction if for some reason they cant help. Some examples of things Ive bought there include outdoor twine, light bulbs, copies of keys (made on sight), plastic food storage bins, batteries, drinking glasses, Ball glass jars, poster board, and a lighter torch.

Recently moved into the neighborhood, incredibly happy to have such a great hardware store only a few blocks away. The staff is incredibly helpful and they have a great selection. Definitely beats a trip to Home Depot or waiting for a package from Amazon.

I had a nift (neighborhood gift coupon) for here and I was happily surprised. Its much larger than I thought but the staff was really nice and knowledgeable. The place is also huge. Three floors with tons of great home stuff. Needle bike pump attachment? Yup. Organization stuff so I can get my Marie Kondo on? Oh yeah. Its a little hard to park around there but its definitely something to keep in mind whenever Im in Harvard.

This must be the best hardware store on the planet! I had managed to completely mess up my IKEA project and the staff were so helpful with fixing the problem. They spent plenty of time and made use of their extensive set of tools to get things sorted out. There is no way I would have been able to do it without them. I would give more stars if possible!!

These guys just made my day - a screw had fallen out of my carry-on suitcases handle, making it unusable. A staff member here matched the remaining screw, fixed the handle, and gave really good advice about future maintenance. He was kind and patient, and absolutely made my day. I was only charged for the price of the screws. I cant recommend this place highly enough!

Small hardware store in the heart of Harvard Square. Despite its size, they seem to carry everything you could want. Helpful, professional staff. Pricey, but thats true of everything else in Boston. No parking, of course, in Harvard Square, but conveniently located around the corner from the MBTA red line Harvard Square subway station.

Best hardware store in the Square (but also the only one). Youll be able to find most of the things you need here, but sometimes Ive been disappointed by their selection. Dickson Bros is also a UPS drop off, which is very convenient.

This little gem is a treasure in the midst of Cambridge. It has normal hardware as well as obscure items for the college student. I stop in every time we visit our son at Harvard. The last time I purchased an awesome wireless doorbell.

The most conveniently located hardware store in Harvard Square with decent prices and a good selection on household items. Great for emergency dorm supplies, e.g. towels, kitchenware, mounting adhesives, etc. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable if you need help figuring out how to assemble / mount furniture.

A gem.As Harvard Square becomes more and more just another shopping mall, but with bad parking and no roof, there are a few of the great old businesses still here. Dicksons is one, a real service, stuff people need, not yet another cell phone store. Small place that has a second story, they cram in a great selection.
