We lost four vehicles, including our brand new, 2020 Lexus SUV in the storm surge from Hurricane Isaias. Because so many on Oak Island were in the same boat, there were no rental cars available. We needed a replacement vehicle fast. We were fortunate enough to come across a 2017 BMW X5 with super low mileage that Ivey Motorsports had for sale. I dealt directly with Kevin the owner and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience and the quality of the vehicle which was even better than described. I bought my Chevy Traverse from here roughly 3 weeks ago and had a great experience! I had been searching for a few weeks to find the Traverse that had everything I wanted. We went to another dealership about 1 week prior and did not have a good experience at all. Reid was our salesman and he was extremely nice. We drove a little over 2 hours to see the truck. The test drive went great. On the day we went it was raining pretty hard and at that time my son was 2 months old. Reid brought the Traverse in the garage so we didnt have to get the baby wet. I traded in my vehicle and was given a very fair trade in price. One of the things I appreciated the most was Reids honesty. He pointed out a tiny ding that we hadnt even noticed in the truck. Also, there was not anyone there to detail the car prior to us leaving & because of that they took money off the purchase price. Being a mom to 3 kids any little bit helps. If more used car dealerships were like Ivey Motors, the reputation of used car salesmen wouldnt be a punchline. I made my purchase from out of state. The recommendations, advice, and knowledge they gave was very helpful. I bought a barely used BMW M4 from them. The best advice they gave was when having it shipped to me, use an enclosed trailer. Otherwise, I would risk having a rock chip the vehicle during transport. They made the whole purchase easy and assuring. I Would buy from them again in a heartbeat!!!

Although my wife and I did not buy at this time, it was a very nice change of pace to be able to shop for a vehicle and not have someone trying to put you in a headlock to buy. I had been test driving newer cars, but as soon as i sat in the Pathfinder I knew it was the car/truck for me. The folks at Ivey were sweet, friendly, and excited for me. Recently bought a lovely LS 430. Great condition, no sales pressure, etc. They accurately described the problems/scrapes/dings on the car. Communication was good with the exception that phone calls were a little slow to be returned. We would buy from this dealership again. Definitely!

Horrible customer service and communication. They should really send their Vice President Julie Ivey to customer service training. Told one thing by Kevin (president) and another by their VP. Im amazed at how they do business in this day and age. They will make you feel like they are doing you a favor by selling a car. Strongly not recommended.

Planned to pay cash for an FJ Cruiser here today, but it quickly became apparent that this dealer is not to be trusted. Vehicle had obviously been in an accident (body panels out of alignment, parts missing, etc), but they claimed it had not been. Underside had extensive rust that had been freshly painted over. After we spent a good amount of time looking it over, they told us they did not have enough people on staff to go with us to test drive it so a test drive was not possible, that there was someone coming in to look at it in 20 minutes, that 2 more people are coming to look at it tomorrow, & that we could come back tomorrow to test drive it. Assuming Rick spotted our SC plates & knew that would be inconvenient. We started to leave because who buys a car without driving it first? Then, he came rushing back out to tell us that theyd spoken with the owner of the dealership, & he said we could test drive it if we agreed to pay full price & that his initial statement that we could not test drive it was because they get a lot of joyriders. We did not pull up in a Rolls Royce & were not dressed in our Sunday best, but trust me when I tell you we did not look like joyriders... We caught them in at least 5 lies or deceits in the 30 or so minutes we were. We left & bought same vehicle in better condition from Darin Grooms Autosports in Denver, NC for less where we found VERY nice, honest people willing to take our cash.
