Best car buying experience I’ve ever had. I found the car I thought I wanted on their website. The sales person worked with me online and helped me select a trim that we liked better, communicated clearly about price and costs (NO surprises), and we agreed on a price that beat every other dealer we had talked with. We arrived at Burlington Subaru the next day, our car was ready and we were on our way in no time at all.

This place has hit rock bottom. I used to be delighted at the service I received here, but it has gone down hill every year for the past 10 years. The straw the broke the camels back is that I purchased a used vehicle from them that apparently had aftermarket parts in it for a repair that had occurred prior to my purchasing of this vehicle. My technician discovered the aftermarket part (a catalytic converter) because it had failed. I found that there was a recall on my vehicles catalytic converter originally and so I called burlington subaru and asked about the the recall, I was told that because the certified used car was sold to me with with the aftermarket part on it that they would honor the recall. Burlington subaru told me the day I scheduled the appointment and the day I brought the car in for the appointment that it was not going to be any issue and still fully covered and my car would be done by 4pm. They called me at 3:15pm and alerted me they would not be covering the recall as they previously told me they would because it had an aftermarket catalytic converter. I spoke with the service manager who has absolutely unhelpful and told me I was lying that that there was not an aftermarket catalytic converter on there when I bought it from them. I dont make enough money to not notice a 1500-3000$ repair. The cat was on there when I bought the car. So when they tell you they do a 152 point inspection, understand that it is hardly taken seriously and if they missed something on it then they will assume youre a liar because you dont have them service your vehicle on a regular basis and there is obviously no way of providing them wrong as they are the ones who inspected it to begin with. I will be making the longer drive to a much better dealership in the future.

One of the best first impressions Ive ever had with a business. Last month I came into this dealership just to browse a few suv type vehicles and did not expect to find a vehicle I would be buying anytime soon. Their front desk greeted me and set me up with an appointment (almost instantly) with Lance, one of the sales consultants. Lance was pleasant, welcoming, patient, and laid back-all great qualities that made me feel like I was at home with this business. He took over 2 and 1/2 hours out of his day to show me different models of cars, let me test drive a 2018 Forester, figure out finances, look at paints on different models, picking out what I want in a car, and looking at various quotes. I ended up leaving that evening with a brand new car on order.Just this past weekend, I came in to pick up my Subaru and spent quite a few hours going over questions I had, paperwork to complete, and learning how the vehicle operates. It was all a bit overwhelming and a big step from first driving a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but Lance, his manager, and Cinder were all very patient, helpful, considerate, and even stayed past their business hours just to help me out with everything and I cannot express how much that all meant to me. Even now they call and email to check up on me and the Subaru and I havent even had her for a week haha.😂 They never once made me feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, bad about taking time on some decisions, or dumb because of my lack of experience and knowledge on newer models of cars. So if youre looking for a newer vehicle and absolutely amazing customer service on top of that, then I couldnt recommend a better place to stop on by-and this is coming from someone driving 3 hours one way just to stop at this dealership. I would do it again in a heartbeat!!

Konrad was the most helpful salesman when it came to purchasing my end of lease option. I was in a time crunch to buy out my vehicle and with two recalls on my car, it couldn’t be purchased until those recalls were replaced. Because of my situation, they were able to squeeze me in on a busy Friday to have my vehicle serviced and to go through all of the paperwork to finance my car. This dealership truly has the kindest employees and the nicest manager/owner. I would recommend them to anyone and I look forward to buying from them in the future. When I took my car for service, I thought oh its Subaru authorized dealer, its going to be great! They took my car in, although they gave me a loaner car, they kept my car for 2 weeks to change a part that was shipped by Subaru America. I had to call them and remind them that my car is still with them. When I got my car back, the paint was stripped at more than a few place on hood and roof. it is like paint came out in chips. There was a dent on the passenger side door.When I took the matter to service manager, he just ignored me. He said it happened because of concrete in the parking of my apartment. He said concrete drips down and this kind of things take time to happen. I am not a expert on concrete but I have never seen this happen if someone park their cars inside an underground parking. I told him that if it would happen before, wouldnt I notice it. I do take my car for wash 2-3 times a week. I know the dent and scratches on my car.Seriously, that manager has turned his hairs white just ignoring customers all his life -- he has a lot of experience doing it. You can tell by the way he nods calmly -- like he is listening to you and understand your pain -- and at the same time he is ready to give a stupid excuse whenever you tell him something. I am not really going back to this place.I am trying to reach subaru america now. hopefully they will intervene. For me, I have learned my lesson. This place is really bad thats why they are small business compared to toyota heritage in burlington. Subaru as cars are famous in Vermont despite that this service centers lack of service and unwillingness to help out the customer will never make them as successful as Heritage Toyota. And yes I am talking about Heritage because I bought my car and had a service there once.The car I was going to buy was stolen from Heritages parking lot. The thieves then stole an atm from nearby gas station/grocery. It was in the burlington news. It was stolen just few hours before I was going to pick it up. I was very sad. They were straight forward with me and accepted responsibility. They gave me few car options right away and lowered my interest rate on the loan. Now thats customer service!!

On April 9, 2021 I brought my Subaru Impreza lease vehicle to Burlington Subaru for its yearly inspection. While waiting for it to be finished I shopped for my next lease and was assisted by Jordan Lowe. He patiently walked me through the process, explaining the specifics of the vehicle I was interested in, preparing the paper work needed to order my new car, explaining how the lease would work and the specific details that would put me behind the wheel, and one week later, I was driving out of the yard in my new Subaru Forester! I love my new car and Im delighted to have been escorted through the transaction by a knowledgeable and kind professional who made me feel heard and understood. Although I didnt end up buying a car here, they were very helpful! I went in with a few ideas about what kind of car I wanted, and Anthony (the sales person we met with) ran through the different pricing options, model options, etc., and was all-around quite informative. I was looking for a used Subaru in a certain price range and mileage range, and even though they didnt have any in stock that fit my needs, Anthony did a great job of keeping me informed when they got in some used vehicles in my price range/with the specs I wanted.Like I mentioned, I didnt end up buying my car here; there was one that Anthony sent me that I was thinking about buying but someone else got it before I was able to come up and look at it, and I found a used car elsewhere that fit my needs. But I very much appreciated Anthony keeping me informed as they got cars that he thought I might be interested in.Overall, I had a great experience with Burlington Subaru, especially with the sales person Anthony. He was very informative and helpful, presented us with some good options, gave us a good pitch but was never too pushy with sales tactics etc, and was respectful throughout.

I am extremely disappointed in this dealership. My family has had subarus for decades but this was the first car I bought in Burlington and I am frustrated to say the least. Bought a car and then one month later needed over $2000 of work done on it. The maintenance people were less than helpful, in fact, failed to find significant issues with the car. It was only when I went somewhere else that I got the help I needed and found people who were not disrespectful on the phone and in person. The customer service after buying the car was condescending and rude, before they were nice but that all changed the second I drove off the lot. I would highly recommend going somewhere else to buy your subaru

Joe, sales was a great help. Well be back.Update 11/20/20 and 1/3/21.I test drove several cars and found only one that was very interesting. It was a 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited 2.0 Turbo. The salesman John Balin helped us. I took the car for a pre-purchase mechanical inspection at Essex Automotive. They found it a very good car. Upon my return from the inspection to the dealership my timing was unfortunate. I entered the parking lot and one of the employees backed into me and damaged the car. This did not dissuade me from purchasing the car so I went inside and made the deal. Of course the dealership covered all cost and repairs for the damage to the car. They even provided me with a service rental car at no charge while the car was being inspected repaired and the body work completed.One of the bad things about the deal was that the finance officer ended up not telling the truth about the warranty on the car. There was a warranty sticker on the window of the car when I drove it for the test drive. He insisted it was an as-is purchase and that the warranty sticker was a mistake. As a previous car salesman in California I knew this was not true. Even though this was an outstanding dealership you need to be careful with any finance officer who will sell you anything for an outrageous profit. The extended warranty price was $1,600 on a car that was already covered.Subsequently to the purchase I had a opportunity to visit the sister store Burlington Hyundai and they took care of me service wise. This is where I found out there was a lifetime warranty on the engine and the drivetrain.I put the car through its paces and found that everything on the car was working and was very pleased with the quality and power of the car.On January 3rd 2021, I was driving home from a day trip and while driving through a blinding snow storm I had a dangerous situation. The snow plow ahead of me drifted from the left lane over to the right lane without warning. I braked heavily and the ABS brakes worked fantastically. There was no slip or slide. The winter tires on the car worked great I was able to stop the car and avoid rear ending the plow truck within 25 yards, amazing.

Unless they would have delivered the car to my house, and brought pizza and a few salads.And a few drinks. And dessert. My best friend took her car into this dealership because her and her family were almost killed after their two year old cross trek lost all power without warning and she could not break. Luckily they happened to be on a side road and were able to coast off the road, but if this had happened on the highway they could have died. When she brought the car in, the dealership said they could find nothing wrong, and told her there was nothing they could do, even after agreeing “they would not trust their family member in this vehicle.” Maybe this speaks even more to how problematic Subaru is, but it is immoral to allow a vehicle that is obviously defective stay on the road. This threatens the safety of not only my best friend and her family, but anyone who comes within close proximity of this car if this problem happened again. And for that, I had to write this review.

I reached out to this dealership to inquire about getting a pre-purchase inspection on a Subaru I was purchasing from a 3rd party. I have been searching for a very particular vehicle and wanted to make sure I wasnt being too impulsive, especially since I am not located in VT. The service rep I spoke with (happy to give their name outside of a public review) went out of their way to properly vet the vehicle and the 3rd party dealer as best they could. They discovered a lot of discrepancies and ended up saving me from a huge financial regret and countless headaches. I have had two Subaru vehicles serviced here for the airbag recall.Service was timely, as stated. Service agents are professional.Parts department has been helpful sourcing odd engine parts.The first recall service went fine. However, the second service wasnt smooth.Upon driving home, I noticed that the glove compartment was not fully reassembled correctly. This will now require me so spend another few hours bringing it back.Im not mad at them, just disappointed.

I recently purchased a new 2021 crosstrek from this dealership and I worked with Phil from Sales. The team could not have been more accommodating and really worked hard to get me the price I wanted to pay for the car. RUN! This dealer will scam you.I am writing this for my elderly handicapped parents (77 and 70) in regards Burlington Subaru preforming a brake job they didnt need, because this dealer says it was required for Vermont State Inspection but it was not, the bill for that came to $1000 and preformed a ton-up for $500 that was also not needed. This Car only had 28,000 miles on it and is still under warranty!It happened on 2-18-21Burlington Subaru told them the brakes were out of spec on the pads at 5mm (Subaru of America says 1.5mm) and told them they needed new rotors because were vary rusty, and that the rear pads were seizing, there was only a small amount of surface rust from being parked inside for 4 months, same as would be on a new car that sits for 4 months and I inspected the brakes and suspension (wheel off) a week before to make sure they were good before having them bring it in and there was 1/4 inch (little over 6mm) on the pads and the pads were not seized.Even if the rear pads had been seized a simple brake maintenance (clean and lube) would have fixed that.I did call the dealer assuming there was just an error and they told me “no there was not and to call the state if I dont like it.”DO NOT TRUST THEM! They over charge and lie

I was not sure where to post this review since it has to do with all of their dealerships in Berlin as well as Burlington. We visited them all, found a lot of great option, and in the end bought a Subaru Outback from them and the service is top notch. We worked with Pinhas and he is excellent. Ive lived in 6 countries and done work in 50, and this is some of the best service I have ever seen. Also, you can tell a companys culture from the owners and I have the pleasure of knowing one of them (and no, Im not trying to be biased) and trust and reputation is everything in this business. When good people run a business, then you know you can trust them. I highly recommend them.

Having bought and owned 3 Subaru’s in my life...I can tell you there’s no better sales consultant to go through than Phil Sheridan. I’ve purchased all 3 with him, most recently, my wife and I bought the new Ascent (which we love)...as a new model, we were a little unsure and didn’t want to entrust the decision to just anyone, so we drove from Boston to Burlington VT to see Phil at his new digs...and the trip was well worth it. As always, Phil new this car in and out, from the basics, to the techy stuff, and all the little nuances in between. Not as fun as my old WRX, but, as a father of 2 and a pup, Phil made the purchase feel just as exciting as the WRX.Would highly recommend seeing Phil for all your Subaru needs.

In 2015, I purchased a brand new 2016 Forester off the lot with 7 or 8 miles on it. Fast forward to 2020, I’m in a small fender bender with some front end damage. I go to pick up my vehicle from my insurance recommended auto repair shop who informed me this vehicle had previous front end damage and the metal under the bumper cover was crumpled. He said this was not new damage and that the front bumper cover had been previously replaced. I have never had another accident in this vehicle which means I was sold a “new” vehicle that was damaged upon receipt. Repair shop owner also advised that unfortunately this wasn’t the first time it’s happened. Buyer Beware! Additionally they offer free state inspections as long as you own the vehicle. Go somewhere else. This dealership will always find something to fail that will cost you $400-500, usually something you recently replaced like brakes or rotors. Looks like I‘ll be going to St J Subaru for future service and to upgrade to an Ascent.

He worked with my price range to help me find the right vehicle and made sure I was happy. I have been bringing my past Subarus here for service, which I am always happy with, but this was my time leasing through them and I hope to do it again.

Had an oil change done here, they didn’t tighten the plug to the correct spec and it loosened, then fell out while driving on the highway. The engine is seized, 7-8k in repairs and they aren’t covering the cost.

Well... we dropped off our 2005 legacy GT for an airbag recall yesterday afternoon. We picked it up 30 minutes ago. Well on our way home our glovebox slammed open and we notice the string that connects the door to the frame was not connected. Had to call back to get it back in to fix before it ends up breaking. Suprised with the fact that this is a subaru dealer and having to own go back again to fix it

The service center will take advantage of you any way they can. They do not honor their extended warranty that they dealership pushes on you and they lie about the repairs needed. If you look at the 5 star ratings they have on Google those are made by their employees and fake accounts that have only left 1 review and it happened to be for them. I will never own another Subaru as long as I live just so I dont have to deal with their service center. You have a better chance of not getting ripped off taking your car to a random person on the street then to bring it to them. Be warned.

Bought a Forester from Phil Sheridan this week. Phil was professional, competent and kind. And even more. The simple truth is Phil is also the best-looking salesperson in the place, not even close. His golf game is also exceptional although my partner and I beat Phil and his partner. Ha. But I recommend when you want to purchase the number one selling vehicle in Vermont, you come to see Phil Sheridan. It was truly the best new car purchase experience of my extremely long life that I have filled with Jack, cigars and golf. God bless America.
