Been here a couple of times. They have a great selection and the staff is always willing to help if you’re looking for something specific. On my most recent visit I was looking for a vinyl and the owner and another staff member went above and beyond and climbed over boxes ( they just had their floors renovated) to retrieve the vinyl for me. I will definitely be returning in the future as I’ve always had a good experience in this store!

Definitely a hidden gem in Brandon, walked in and spoke with the owner, very down to earth person and offered a welcoming atmosphere. Prices were very competitive and items I checked were under Ebay prices, do local businesses a favor and support them, will definitely be back.

One of the coolest collectibles stores in the entire county. There’s a ton of awesome stuff in this store, super reasonably priced, and the owner was just such a nice and cold guy to talk to. I walked out my first day in the store with 4 Funko Pops I had been looking everywhere for, and they were all priced exactly where they should have been valued at. There are few stores where you can really tell the owner pours a lot of passion in to what they do, and this is one of those places. If you’ve been thinking about checking them out, DO IT. I can’t wait to go back and see what other cool things I can find. Thanks so much for the awesome experience!!!!! 10/5 stars!

This store was a bit difficult to find but if you can find a big Mario coming from the west on Brandon Blvd, youll be A-Okay! Parking was a bit rough because its right next to Brandon Blvd. It was tough getting in and out. Once we entered the store, it was nostalgia again. Everything was neatly organized and they truly had collectibles alongside magazines and games. We were looking for a Nintendo Gamecube controller and they had the original and third party ones. It was a pretty neat store and we didnt stay too long but it was cool to be there. We didnt see any employees but it was fine since we were not buying anything. They definitely had what we were looking for.

$17 for three basic hot wheel mainlines in bad shape from the mid 2000s. Lol look up the highest ebay sold and thats the price. One star form the newbie 😘

I really want to support this local business, but it all comes down to attitude and how you treat the customer. I always feel like Im unwelcome and its a chore if I have to ask for help. Please.. just try to smile and give your customers a warm welcome...

I love this store it has so much to look at. Also they give you more for a trade than Game Stop will. The people who work there are always very helpful and nice .

Awesome place. They have every antique-looking game that you could imagine. All type of comics you may be looking for they have. Great prices as well. Store is clean and even will let you use the restroom if needed. Great place guys and keep up the good work.

Coolest little toy shop in town but thats it. Parking is rough, staff is less than friendly and as of my last visit, the comic section is abysmal. There was no recognizable organizing method and...NO PRICES. They look up the books at the register and charge top dollar. Literally impossible to get a good comic deal. With 3 great comic shops in town, this place should just abandon their comic section. They dont do it nearly as well as any of the other places.

This place used to be good but has gone downhill quick, the owner is dishonest about selling & buying, don’t waste your time on the comics as he will charge you by highest sales on eBay on a raw book he’s selling doesn’t matter the grade, he’s on organized on the comic department & I’ve had him price a comic of eBay & declined & then he puts it in a special box for rare comics behind the counter, basically your doing the work for him that he’s to lazy to do on his own & his employees also won’t do.

1st time going on November 18th and man when I say I will be going back again and again its the truth! It was a mistake coming to this shop as a star wars fan lol. I will most likely be spending 100s very soon and will most definitely be coming back. The owners are very chill and fun people.

For starters, every time I come here the owner doesn’t have the best attitude. I never really cared or payed much attention though because sometimes the items I purchase make up for it. But the other day, he decided to change prices on a couple of items right in front of me as I was going to purchase them. He literally said “I’m going to put this back on the shelf for double the price”. I’ve heard several rumors about the owner always scamming others but now I finally seen it for myself. I’m sure he’s going to reply to this review about how things are untrue or how someone is out to get him. Absolutely not. Just leaving this here for everyone to see what kind of person they’re dealing with when they come to purchase from him.

Such a neat little store! Friendly and helpful staff, a rockin atmosphere and they have a lot of great pop culture toys from Marvel to Star Wars. They also carry retro video games and classic vinyl records! Everything reasonably priced as well!

Great place for video games and comics

Took a drive from Sarasota to check this store out, totally amazing and absolutely worth the drive. Staff was super helpful and really nice. There is no real reason that anyone should have anything negative to say or any legitimate reason to give it less than a 5 star rating. Fair prices, clean, extensive amount of collectibles, a real gem! So glad to have found this store, will definitely be back soon.

This place is quite whimsical however it wasnt what I was in the market for. Their record collection is small, and doesnt span a wide variety of genres. However if you want vintage comics and toys, thus may be the place for you.

First went in to the store at the beginning of the year, I’ve been back once a week ever since. The selection and variety of toys, comics, video games, and records is absolutely unmatched. They have lots of new products out each week, so there is always something new to look at. The prices are current and fair, so you never get over charged, highly recommend the store to anyone who loves toys, comics, games, etc. The volume in this little store is amazing.

I love this place. It always takes me at least a hour just to pick up one thing. They have a huge Pop Collection as well as a great selection of vinyl. The owner Josh is a great guy and really fair when it comes to his pricing. It is super rare for me to leave without spending at least $100.00. My family and I love coming here.

Owner blames people for his inconsistency in price and makes accusations of buyer switching sticker price. Showing him the same product with different price and no apology or acknowledgement of being wrong. Ive purchased from him multiple times and opted to bring my children to purchased from him versus going to big box but not anymore. I have witnessed him changing prices on the fly and makes excuses of market price change. Buyer beware! Switches prices on the fly. Wouldnt be surprised if he makes B.S. responses and tries to suppress the negative reviews he gets. Accusing me of making fake account. Trust me youre not that important. Accepting the facts is what people will read and you making false claims and thinking people arent intelligent enough to read all the negative reviews that other people make.

Good selection of vinyl records

Its a fun step back in time. Theyve got a fun collection of vintage and some newer toys and video games. I know one of the guys who works there. Always great to talk to and willing to help.

Nice selection of video games, toys, comics and Jim neighbors LPs. If you spend over $25 the owner will give you a free piggy back ride. Best store of its kind in 20 mile radius, prices are reasonable. Recommended.

We love this store! Always a great selection of games for each system. Were always on the hunt for good N64, PS1&2 games and it never disappoints. Always recommend checking out and liking the facebook page as the owner constantly posts new items going out! Definitely our go to game shop in the Brandon area.

Dishonest owner!!! I picked up a lion-o from the savage line of funko,it was priced at $13.99 so I said to my self its at a good price ill take it. They were three of them so I picked the one with the nicer box,I got some more toys and when I went to pay he change the price on the lion-o to $32.99 without telling me anything.I told him that it was priced differently and he said that they go for $50.00 on ebay then I told him that I wasnt buying it and that I was going to take it back were it was but in reality I just wanted to see the other lion-os and when I got were they were he had took them all and hide them. I was so frustrated by the situation that I told him that I knew what he did and he got super nervous and started stuttering and couldnt defend himself. BTW the owner its like 62 and I was super respectful. Then I started reading all the one star reviews and they all say the same thing about the price changing and he always respond by saying its a fake account . Come on man all the bad reviews say the same thing and they are all fake? So sad when people think everyone is dumb and they are so dishonest.

Every time that I enter this store it’s like a nostalgic oasis! Great prices on everything and an amazing selection that changes weekly. Sometimes I just go there to look at all of the old 80’s stuff but I usually end up leaving with some old comics and toys. Great store and fun to visit! Star Wars, Masters of the Universe, GI Joe, comics, classic horror, posters, you name it, V & C usually has it.

Three times I have come here now and three times Josh changes the price on things right at the register. I understand the collectible market is up and down, but now he tells me that some guy changed the price on all comics. He has a good selection and it’s an impressive little store, but it is no better than a flea market with a guy who doesn’t greet you, changes pricing and just plain frustrates you. This is the last time I will come to his shop unfortunately. Close the doors and get your pricing right before you just upset people who are about to spend money with wallet in hand. Waste of time.....

Cant believe the nerve of the owner to switch prices at the register. Went on his computer to verify how much the item is being sold online, so he could change the price right there. If you cant label your prices correctly its your fault. If prices change on a Collectible and you change the price last minute because you need to keep up to market cost, youre just greedy and trying to maximize your profit. Furthermore, prices online are cheaper than what your store is asking. Never going back! Ive read the other reviews and people are accurate about him.

This is a cute little vintage video game, comics and they even have vintage vinyl and baseball cards store. Its cute and they have a good selection of old games.

Cool place. Has a little bit of everything. Comic books, retro games to modern games, collectable figurines, records, even pops. Love this place. Update: bought a DS lite. But it had an issue, the guy let me pick out another product that was equivalent in price. Little disappointed that Lite has issues though. But things happen and I understand.

This is the most poorly ran business Ive ever been to. No prices. Theyre using some random ebay/website comparison to price things once youre at the register. Its a huge waste of your time... do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Very awesome place, has lots of comics and and collectibles items. Ive been getting mha and dragon ball statues here. They have tons of pops and not sure how often they change up the inventory but its frequent, so theres always something new to see.

Used to love this place but it has gotten overpriced, if your a brick & mortar store shopper I recommend this place. Staff is pretty cool but don’t have any knowledge of prices or condition only person who does is the owner josh. But word of caution ⚠️ he changes prices on the fly (doesn’t honor his own prices) especially comic book prices. He’ll eBay search a comic/item in front of you & price a damaged comic/item as high grade or slabbed (cgc,cbcs grades) there’s no way a raw comic should be priced as a high grade when it’s a low grade.....or a raw comic be priced as a slabbed comic. There’s a huge price difference in raw & slabbed comics especially if there damaged

We did not feel welcome here. Asked for help with vintage vinyl and the guy just tosses his head in the direction.So we start pawing through boxes and then soon find out, these boxes of vinyl are not ready for sale.Finally found the stuff actually for sale, nice selection, but I have to say the prices are high retail, especially compared to record shops in St. Pete.

One of the best stores I seen in Florida for anime and vintage collectibles since moving from NYC. The prices are extremely reasonable, I mostly shop online on eBay or Depop/Mercari and the prices are about the same or cheaper. I drove by a lot by the store and very disappointed in myself for not checking it out sooner. Love the environment, im definitely stopping by more often.

I stopped in here while visiting Florida and left very happy. The owner was nice and friendly and cut me deals knowing i intended to sell some of the items in my own shop back home.Some things weren’t priced, and there was a lot of stuff “sitting around”, but this is not a bad thing to me. I enjoy digging through boxes of unpriced items because it’s more fun to discover something cool like that, rather than just seeing it in a glass case sometimes. He pulled stuff out of the back for me to check out and loved chatting about metal music and video games. I’ll definitely be stopping in next time I’m visiting Florida!

They have a vast amount of collectibles, nostalgic, figures/toys, records, retro games and systems. Expect to spend 30 minutes or more just browsing at all of the amazing different things to buy! Its an awesome store. No bathroom unfortunately.

THEY SELL FAKES. Bought Nintendo game and THEN discovered its a fake. I paid a lot of $ for a fake and they didnt tell me and now will not refund my money. STAY FAR AWAY. THEY SELL FAKES.

Good selection of items but was surprised they didn’t have any amibos. As for the fake reports, they clearly state on the specific games are not original. This is common place due to technology and able to duplicate the same game but not have to spend crazy prices to get it. I see nothing wrong with this. If you want original then go on eBay and pay 100 for a game to add to your collection. Some of us want to play it and don’t care about originals.

Ive spent hundreds of dollars at this store and all it took was one bad experience to write this 1 star review. I went in recently to purchase a Funko Pop not knowing what the price would be. He regularly checks Ebay to price his items and when I inquired about the price he said the Pop was going for a minimum of $75 on Ebay. I said, ok, too much for me and i didnt question the price because I trusted Josh. When I got home, something told me to check Ebay and I seen multiple brand new ones going for $50. I immediately purchased one and Im sure they didnt just pop up by the time I got home. Anyway, highly upset with how he handled the pricing, if you want to sell them for $75, thats fine but dont lie to my face and regularly say your prices are cheaper than Ebay. Im ranting but its upsetting when you have had good experiences somewhere but then realize all the terrible rumors are true.

Ive only been to V&C a few times, but Ive always had a good experience. They have had SNES games that Id been searching everywhere for. And the prices have been better than other retro game stores in my area.Im surprised to see reviews in regards to poor attitude. Be it on the phone or in store theyve always remained professional.I have not tried to sell or buy collectibles so I cant speak in that regard, but my experiences thus far have been positive.

Lots of stuff and good priceing

The owner here will definitely try to rip you off!! We definitely have knowledge behind what we where selling and this guy was beyond a lowballing guy! He most definitely offer more then half lower then the toy attic will pay for collectibles that are 100% clean, complete and not yellow! Non of our items where Florida kept non of them had been exposed to heat or sun light! It would be a “OK” place to shop at but not sell to!

Lovely place for toys and games of the past. Excellent place to find old and unique items at very cheap and often fair prices. From comic books to records and even trading cards, figurines and Japan only games, this local shop is a treat to see. They dont always have what youre looking for but if you wait a few weeks then chances are they will. Plus the staff is pretty knowledgeable about their products and are willing to help you out if you have a question or two.This place can be a bit tricky to find if youre not looking for it and aside from word of mouth and their business cards theyre pretty much invisible, but regardless I highly recommend checking this place out at least once if youre in the area.P.S. Theyre also right next door to a taco shop, so if you like tacos then this just might be a nice bonus for you as well.P.S.S.This review was made a few years ago. Great store with action figures, cards, pop figures and more. Gave amazing deals for trades and for items I was looking to purchase.
