My mistake was not reading the reviews before I ordered with them! This was a simple barn door (with no hardware) - so basically a big piece of MDF! I was told it will take 2.5 - 3 weeks (also written on the order sheet). Were now 8 weeks in and after me calling almost every week to follow up, today they told me that the door was received by the warehouse and it takes more than 4 days to get it checked in! Do yourself a favor and dont tell your customer that youre doing your best. Your best would be to at least expedite your check-in process to make up for your supplier who wasted this much time!8 weeks and I still dont have what I ordered and no one can confirm the date I would receive my piece of unfinished wood!Not factoring the fact that the sales person knew that this was delayed and never called to let me know. I had to call once (or twice) every week to get a status. TERRIBLE customer service, they promise you inaccurate timeline, take your money in full, and after that they dont care what happens to your order.

No Customer service and follow up from salesman. 8 weeks and no doors. no proof or receipt if they were ever ordered. Went to store twice for the initial ordering process and even signed CC authorization. No emailed purchase for receipt, and no answer from salesman when asked via email for follow up. just a simple, will check. Further email follow up went unreturned... ghosted! 8 WEEKS! nothing to show, my construction project is now on hold.

Running a crooked business, prey on normal customers to buy custom doors with no return policy. When asked if they can measure doors to confirm customers measurements (not a contractor or in the business) was told not needed. 6 weeks kater beautiful doors that were too big for doorway. They wont replace unless i pay for a new set. Customer service pretty much told me too bad. When I called my sales agent to dispute this, he was on a field visit Measuring doors!!!

I love this place. Everyone is so nice and heloful. Besides that they always have the best merchandise and deliver on time. I really never had any issues with them. I am a repeated client and I would definitely recommend this place for everyone

Our experience with Smith&Deshields has been disappointing from the very beginning, with organization issues where they would say one of our orders was ready when in fact it was another order. We have deal with delays after delays when it comes to the pickup date. We had 3 orders with them and 2 of them had at least 2 weeks set back. This experience was honestly frustrating and a complete letdown. We have tried to be patient and understanding but this has caused a hold up in our jobs and is unacceptable. How can I explain that to our customer? Hopefully this situation will be solved until November, 19th as they rescheduled the pickup date.

Ive been coming here for years. I have my own small business and i rely on Scott M and John K constantly for my doors and trim. Even though they are not huge big money orders i still always get the attention i need and the timing of delivery is always clarified up front. Even the delivery driver (forgot his name) is always friendly and knows me by name. Great company and fantastic selection of hardware.

The previous reviews about Steve are accurate. He is smug. After receiving very lack luster service, I was told I would receive a quote by the next day. Of course I did not. I was very serious about placing an order, but I shouldn’t have to follow-up to receive information when you provide a timeline. I took my business to Miller’s Elegant Hardware, where they provided excellent customer service and I placed an order on the same day.

Tried to make an order multiple times, Wendy made it difficult. She once ended a call to attend to a customer at her desk, as if thats more important than a customer on the phone. Then never emailed me or returned my call each time I called them. Im told this is typical for them. I recommend Coastal Supply in delray because this place doesnt have its act together.

I think that they have a decent selection of doors and moldings and prices are fair. The sale man Mike who helped me was very nice and accommodating and I really enjoyed shopping with him. I met the general manager too, who came over to say hello and was just being friendly. I liked that. They even stayed open almost 20 minutes late to finish helping me. I docked them one star only because I think that they could have a lot more in terms of baseboard and door casing choices. But they do have a TON of cabinet and drawer pulls that are really nice. If youre building or renovating, its worth a trip!

This is the way a business should run. Great selection and professional help. Even though we had a small purchase we were treated as if we were spending thousands. Great prices and our crown moulding was delivered the next day as promised. I wish the rest of our remodeling would be as pleasurable.

The store has most of your door, baseboard, crown molding, trim and door accessory needs. Sales people are busy, it is hard to get someone unless you are a regular customer or pro. However, Wendy was able to spend some time w/me. It was a little difficult to get pricing. But they have more than enough selection. If you know what you need and want, it would be easy to shop there. They do both retail and wholesale pricing. You can still buy as a retail customer even if you dont have a contractor.

I called to schedule someone to come out to the home to look at a door that needs replacing and did not hear the woman say that she was in sales. I asked if she was in sales, and was met with a very snooty tone and sarcasm when she relied yes, that is what I just said when she answered the phone. I am an Interior Designer and this door and hardware was for my top client. I will not be using this company now for my projects. I should not be made to feel bad because I wasnt able to hear what the woman on the other line said..... Very poor taste and lack of professionalism!

I was looking all over South Florida for some Metrie casing and baseboard. Had a really hard time getting help and this place went above and beyond. The found the special order stuff I was looking for, but also recommended another in-stock product that was half the cost, with the same profile. They worked around a very messy work schedule to get it delivered early in the morning to accommodate my wife and I 2 days later. Above and beyond, very greatful for the help. Returned a call as a courtesy to tell them they had the wrong number. A young lady answered and decided to hang up on me then i called back and requested her manager she then hung up on me again. I called back and got a young gentleman. He transferred me to Steve who apparently was the manager and the guy who called me and refused to do anything about the rudeness he then hung up on me. I am not even a customer but attitude speaks for service and they didnt seem to care. That said how can you trust they would care about the job being done?

I ordered front doors from Scott Majors and 6 months later, we still have not received them. We get the runaround... extremely poor customer service. I would not recommend anyone to go here.

BUYER BEWARE!!!Being a new local home owner, we decided to go looking for a new entry door. We were directed from a neighbor to Smith & Deshields in Boca to look around and ask some questions. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very standoffish representative Scott who basically crossed his arms and stood like a statute nodding his head to our questions, and talking to us like we were some low-life back alley street people. Wow... a very bad initial impression, but unfortunately continued with him after he was assigned to handle us. After 15-minutes of being talked down to, we made a general request for 2 quotes, which he reluctantly acted like he wrote down. He said he would call the manufacturers and get back with us in a day or 2. Nine days later we called to check on the quotes, to only receive a very abrupt receptionist saying hes at lunch. (at 4pm?)... we asked to leave him a message & to return our call but never received. The next day we called back to that same rude receptionist, but this time we demanded a manager! Funny how Scott picked the phone up immediately but to only inform us that our quotes were almost complete and he would return our info later in the day. Surprise....lol, no phone call. We then decided to call around town to some different door dealers and were pleasantly greeted and promptly quoted several doors to service our needs. Needless to say we paid cash for 2 beautiful doors, and were taken care of quickly, and without being made to feel stupid. To this day we have still not heard back from these Bozos, and I would NEVER/EVER do business with such a completely poor excuse of a company such as Smith & Deshields. Shame on YOU!btw...this is my first ever internet review, ..but felt such a need to do so, such an awful experience. STAY AWAY from this company, as management must be blind to have people like these to represent their business!

Great supply store

We bought an expensive hurricane door however they put on cheap hinges that rusted out. Scott lied to us for a year saying that he would get us new hinges. Finally, after paying for the hinges, they came in 5 days. JR told us to pick them up at the front desk. After going from front desk to counter to warehouse 4 to warehouse 3 and back again to warehouse 4 and after no one knew where the hinges were, someone finally found them on someones desk. What a fiasco. If I ran my business that way, I would be out of business.
