Very friendly, fast an excellent service. We were on our way out of town and had a flat tire. We had a 10 hour drive ahead of us. This was the 5th tire repair store we visited and all except this one had a minimum wait time of 2 hours. Auto Tread was a God send. The gentleman immediately fixed our tire and made sure we would have no issues on our long drive. We were so happy and thankful!

This is the best tire shop that I have ever been too. I took my car to get a knocking sound in a wheel checked out. Carl looked at it within an hour of me calling late on Saturday and found a flat spot in a tire. I ordered two new tires and returned to have him install them. The job took about 25 minutes total. Carl didnt try to sell me anything, was extremely professional, courteous, and friendly. I wouldnt hesitate to come back here! Highly recommended.

Super inconvenient morning due to a flat tire! I was able to get to the shop and I kept getting calls from work; needless to say, I was stressed. Thankfully, AutoTread was nice enough to open a bit earlier than usual and provided super fast service for me.They plugged my tire, checked my air pressure, and pulled my car back out in about about 7 minutes.I did some research before driving there and saw great reviews, but I didnt really know what to expect and I am also new to Birmingham. I know I didnt expect for them to take care of my car before they actually opened and I didnt expect such genuent customer service. Aside from being open at 7:00AM, this is probably the best experience Ive ever had with a maintenance shop.Carls Tire (now AutoTread) is a one-man show, but he probably provides service better than any other tire service in the area. When I asked if he had my tire size in stock, he said no. However, he was quick to add that he would look around for me. On top of that, he offered to come get me had I been stranded.The service was completed quickly and at a reasonable price. Hes also customer service oriented. It was raining when I returned to shop. When I walked up, he reiterated the he would have been glad to lock up to give me a ride.As long as Im in the Birmingham area, its unlikely that Ill go to any other place than Carls for tire service. Hes the man that other businesses should strive to imitate.

Phenomenal service! A tire on my wifes car had a leak for about 8 months, and after bringing it to another local tire service shop twice and nothing being done about it, Tire Tread was able to find and fix the problem and save the tire. I had an appointment on Wednesday to get new tires and I called Carl Tuesday morning to see if he could get me in that day because I desperately needed the tires and he was able to get me in that day. Drove by today to get the tread on my tires checked before hitting the road for a long trip. Carl checked the wear and alignment and let me know that the front tires were out of alignment and the rear tires needed replacing before the trip (~70k miles on them). He didnt have a matching pair (Douglas brand) for the rear so he gave me his honest opinion, which meant getting the job done somewhere else. I got him to fix the alignment since I was already there and he did - on the house! Im almost looking forward to having my tires wear out so I can go back. Carl knows how to take care of people!

UPDATE 2.26.19: Due to a mishap on the 20/59 I needed new tires. As promised, I revisited Carl Colvin @Auto Tread. We went over the best options for my 2012 Highlander. I purchased two new tires with road hazard, rotate and balance and the price and service was superb. Latoya that answers the phone was most helpful. Its a family run business and I will be sending my friends, co-workers and anybody that asks to Mr. Colvin. As far as Im concerned Auto Tread is a best kept secret that I want to share with everybody. Keep up the good work.1.30.2019: So I got a nail in my tire and I went to Good Year to put some air in it. They told me they didn’t plug tires but sent me to Auto Tread. I went in and the nicest guy told me it would take 5 min and to plug it would be $10. It was a super cold day.He allowed me to wait inside and in 5 min he came and got me. He wanted me to pull the car up so he could put air in the tire. I truly believe if I hadn’t gave him the $10 he wouldn’t have let me pay him. I then asked him if I needed tires . He told me no I was all good. I told him when I get ready to get tires I was coming to him. Auto Tread is tucked off and it’s in a tiny white building. I’m all about small owed businesses. Please give them a try. He said the been there for 6 years.

After traveling to Birmingham from Tupelo, MS, my husband and I were staying at a hotel downtown for the weekend of his CrossFit competition. We walked out to our car Saturday morning to drive to the event location, only to find we had a flat tire! After talking to a couple other companies without any luck, Carl came through for us. He stopped what he was doing and drove to our hotel to look at the tire to decide if he could fix it or if he would have to get us a replacement. He kept in touch with us throughout the whole ordeal, keeping us updated on the situation. The amazing part was, he did all this work without us having to leave our competition to meet him! He was courteous over the phone, did an awesome job on the tire, and saved us so much trouble that weekend! I cant recommend Carl and AutoTread highly enough. My wifes car had a slow leak and I brought it by Carls shop late on a Friday afternoon. Carl wasnt able to provide a full tire repair due to a shortage of sealant, but he put in a plug and, due to the fact that a normal repair would have included the sealant, didnt charge me a dime! He wouldnt accept payment and said that if I came back later he would internally reseal the tire for free as well. The best part was that this whole process took 20 minutes. Carl also offered to drive me back to work and pick me up later if I was in a time crunch. All in all, Carl really went out of his way to make sure that our car was repaired and in safe condition. I cant recommend Carl and AutoTread highly enough. Five stars.

Carl, is honestly one of the best tire service providers I have ever used. Ive been tuning cars since I was 16 and have visited my fair share of tire shops. GoodYear, FireStone, NTB, Walmart, Express Oil, to name a few and I have NEVER experienced service like I experienced with AutoTread. Carl is an Honest and trustworthy individual. He offers great prices and his mobile truck service is one of a kind. He came to my work and in under an hour, removed my old tires, mounted and balanced the new tires, reinstalled them on my car and disposed of the old tires. He even uses a torque wrench on the lug nuts to insure the proper tightness. Attention to detail. I couldnt ask for more. A+
