I have been coming here since this place opened. They are fabulous. I dont buy denim, but Ive bought everything else from them over several decades: vintage mens utility over-shirts with Enormous Pockets; mens cargo pants with Enormous Pockets (womens clothing totally sucks in this regard;) T-shirts, and some other stuff. This place is the Real Deal!!

Incredibly helpful staff in a store with an intimidatingly large selection of new and used denim. If you know what you want, great, browse to your hearts content. If you dont know what you want, people like Marissa and Mia are more than happy to help you find your size and explain the nuances of different styles, brands, and types of denim. Easy decision to come back in the future.

I had an exceptional experience at Slash. The owner and her employees are all super friendly and charming. Truly wonderful people who taught me a lot about denim! They helped me pick out some rad 80s cutoffs to carry me through the rest of the summer. Ill be coming back for all my denim needs!

My first and last shopping experience here was very unpleasant. One staff member seemed outright annoyed when I didnt know exactly what type of jeans I wanted, hence the reason I came to shop. Her patronizing and condescending attitude created an unwelcoming environment and I felt like I was imposing on her just by being there. I could have gone without the eye rolling too from this not so helpful chic with the ponytails. And to have a tip jar? Thats a joke. This was the most unfriendly service Ive ever had shopping. Definitely wont be coming back.Thank you for your response. I should have specified, it wasnt you but your employee that Im referring to.

A great experience. They have tons of raw denim from lightweight to 21oz heavyweight!! And not to mention tons of vintage pairs! And the staff is extremely knowledgeable!

The employees were so rude, I would have liked to get a pair of jeans, but they acted like I couldn’t afford them and made fun of my conversation with my friend. such an unpleasant experience. sad because they have a large selection, hopefully this was a one off experience and these people aren’t always just mean.

Hands down the best place to find all styles and sizes of jeans for every body shape. The customer service is amazing, too?

Best used jeans place, bar none

These people searched for an hour to help me find my perfect pair of jeans. We did find them and I love them. Will definitely recommend this place and come back.

Staffs were friendly and were always willing to assist. Went here for some pair of jeans. Had just what I need for a fair price.

The women here worked so hard to make sure I found the perfect jean! I am tall and have a curvy body shape, so finding jeans, let alone vintage (non-stretchy) Levi’s, has been a life-long struggle. I finally have the perfect pair!!

Obviously staffed by selfish children.I called ahead to see if it was ok to run in and out if I knew what I wanted 10min before close so that I wouldnt take a wasted Lyft ride, knowing in this kind of place it might be an issue. They said, reluctantly, sure. And then they were extra careful to make sure the front door was locked 11MIN before close, so the STAFF could be sure to go HOME precisely at 7. Good job. Enjoy your freetime.

This place is the best if you find it overwhelming to shop for jeans. I went in and told the two friendly workers I wanted high-rise, not too stretchy, slim but not skinny jeans--and they found me every possibility that fit and helped with choosing the best size, even running downstairs to add a pair of 501s to the higher end jeans I was buying upstairs. I dont live near Berkeley, but will be buying my jeans here when I visit!

Wow I haven’t experienced more unfriendly staff anywhere ever. From the moment I came in they were rude and clearly didn’t want to help me find anything. I wasn’t sure on sizing since I don’t shop often and they tossed 3 pairs of shorts at me that were all the same size and didn’t fit. Definitely won’t be going back there, and wouldn’t recommend anyone else go either. Unless being talked down to while trying to shop is your thing.

Lovely shop. Great staff. $75 after tax for a pair of vintage jeans, so a little pricy. But they have an amazing selection.

I walked in the door and the woman working there handed me a pair of jeans that (after trying on many others) ended up being the exact pair I bought. She read me like a book-- both for style and size-- and I have never had a customer service experience like that anywhere else. Buy your pants here!

Back when I was in grad school, this was my place for Levis. Further, after having returned to Chicago, where my last denim jacket died from too many sessions, I got on the horn with these kats--they found me a duplicate. Ill continue ordering from them. Theyll take care of you.

Best place for denim, rockin tops and jackets. Quality leather belts, too. Staff is super nice.

Good stuff but really expensive

This place is amazing. The store attendants really know their stuff, and can help you find anything you WANT. Theyve got an enormous selection of Levis- Jeans, informal khakis, cordoroy, etc. I havent found a better place in Berkeley. Shoutout to a store attendant Adrianna- who helped me get the pant I needed. Super helpful.
