Been here a couple times (brakes, rotors, tie rod, oil change) and each time left me happy with their work. They even stayed a bit late to finish my car after closing (which I didnt mean to happen!)Will use them in the future for my car needs.

I have been using the Mr. Tire on 21st Street in Baltimore for at least 13 years (Ive lost track). They are customer-focused to the max: they have always been straight shooters, have never tried to upsell, have always honored warranties on tires that failed, and have always completed their work in an acceptable amount of time. They perform their work expertly, and pricing is reasonable. I always recommend them to anyone who is looking for auto service, as I am doing here.

I took my car here for squeaky brakes. The receptionist called me and said that I would need to replace all of my pads and rotors and that it would cost over $1,000. That didnt sound right, so I asked her if I could have my car back. She begrudgingly told me that I could come get it, but when I went back to the store, my car was still up on a lift with no wheels on it. So I went into the shop and asked for my car back and the man behind the counter asked me if I had told the receptionist that I wanted the car back without getting any work done. I said that I had. He wondered aloud why she didnt tell him anything. So he got the tires back on my car and gave it back to me. I took the car across the street and was told that the rotors were fine and that all I needed were new pads. The total cost was less than half what Mr. Tire had quoted me.

Terrible service for a only tire change. Very delayed and slow, minimal service (ended up sending pix of my car to a friend for advice while there). Tires were put on the wrong wheel!!! Firestone across the street does it for 25% less price. Their mechanics do not wear masks, they can cough and sneeze in your car!

I went to Mr. Tire for an oil change. I had an appointment for 8:00 a.m. When I arrived, I was told that my appointment was not in the system. However, Shakeira (the Manager) put me on the schedule. There was one customer before me who needed a tire repair. More customers started arriving.The mechanic was complaining to Shakeira, and was disrespectful to her, in front of customers. He told Shakeira that he did not do repairs to tires nor oil changes. He gathered his belongings and left.The customer before me and I started to worry that our vehicles would not be serviced. Another employee, Douglas, who was learning a new job in the office immediately went out to the bay and started working on our cars. He and Shakeira assured us that our issues would be resolved expeditiously, and they were. A big shout-out to Shakeira and Douglas!

In November 2020, I went to fix a flat tire and the guy there tried to convince me I needed new tires because they were cracked and the thread was not deep enough. He told me he couldnt just fix the flat tire. I recently serviced the car and my dealer told me the tires are good and dont need replacement.The other guy, whos name I believe is Jose, is very friendly and professional.

Awesome folks at N Howard Mr Tire. I planned to have to leave my car here all day. They were able to get it done in 45 minutes. Helped me out with the next steps and has amazing pricing options. Darnell in particular was great. I was stressed and he helped keep things light and gave me the facts in a way I could understand through my frustration. Def coming back for future needs.

Unfortunately, my experience this morning contrasts with many of the reviews here and with the very pleasant experience I had speaking with Joe (?) to make my appointment the previous day.When I arrived for my appointment today, I was greeted by a rather unfriendly gentleman who quite un-politely asked in front of those in the waiting room Do you know you are 20 minutes late?. Might not seem like a huge deal to some, but the place did not seem busy as at least two employees were sitting in the lobby happily chatting. I had been looking forward to the experience given the conversation with Joe the previous day. Just didnt feel comfortable handing my keys and car over to someone who felt the need to interact with a customer this way so I left. A loss on both sides, I guess, as this place is in my neighborhood and would have been convenient.

I came in for tire patching but my tires were too old. I was helped by the assistant manager, Iyesha. She was very respectful and kind. I ended up buying 4 new tires and had my one previous (not completely bare) placed on the back of my suv as a spare. Great service.

Really awful service, seemed no one knew what the process of changing a tire was. Original time was 1-2 hours, they didnt start for hour and a half, then the manager said 20 minutes max after checking in the garage, took another hour. Then a delivery truck pulled in blocking me after 3 plus hours, the manager said itll just be another minute, he wouldnt even tell the delivery truck to wait for one car, he hadnt unloaded anything! ...... awful awful awful service. Was a single tire change, nothing more, trash service

Darnell was the first person I encountered upon arriving and was greeted professionally. He was informative and helpful as I presented the issue with vehicle. Every question IHad was answered clearly or to the best of his knowledge and overall the service was great and alot sooner than expected. Will be returning soon. 👍🏽

Came in toward the end of the work day, they immediately said, How can I help you today?Was in and out in under 30 mins for a consult (what ended up being a tire patch) despite there being two other people being helped (they were there before I had arrived.) I just watched a movie on their large TV, sitting on the comfortable couch in the waiting area. I will be returning for future services.

Incredible customer service and workmanship from these folks. I blew a tire about a mile from their shop, after contacting multiple tire places and none of them have my tire nor willing to help in anyway. These guys brought me a spare tire and put it one so I can drive to their repair shop. The manager sent some out to some warehouse to pick up my tire and install in the same day while I wait. These folks are awesome

I have been living in Baltimore for the past two years and have always had a positive experience with Mr. Tire and the manager here at this location. Frank is very friendly and the staff there has worked on my 2009 Honda on several occasions. Any tire service you need I would definitely recommend this location because I trust them and the fair prices they offer.

My daughter goes to college nearby and always go there for service. I must say, though I havent met these people in person, every time I interact with them on the phone to process payments or a question, it has been pleasant. We are very happy so with how theyve been treating our daughter and all her repairs. Thanks for the discounts on the tires and repairs!

Just took my car to Mr. Tire on Howard Street. I had my alignment rechecked after taking it to the dealer. Darnell the manager took care if problem quickly and told me what my car needed. He was very polite, courteous, and knowledgeable about what my car needed. This is my third car that I’ve taken to this location. I will return to get my tires. Love the fast service by Darnell. Last year I had a flat tire and I was in a rush to get a new tire. I kept booking appointments, showing up and the tire was not there. This was repeated 3-4 times, and they kept saying their driver is having issues. Even if that was the case, they could respect my time, just call me and tell me the tired is not ready. I went to a different and more expensive tire shop, that got me what I needed the next day.

Got a new tire today at this location. Darnell provided me with A1 services. Very professional with myself and other customers. I only waited close to 30 minutes to get everything done. They were quick and efficient.Update 11/09/2020. Once again, Darnell came in the clutch to provide that A1 service. As long as I live in the area, I will continue to go to this location and recommend to my family and friends!

Just wish I knew about this place sooner. My vehicle was making all kinds of noise. I took it multiple places and no one could identify the problems. One of the other repair shop recommended I go to Mr Tire on Howard Street. While I was waiting the gentleman that runs the shop called me to the back and explained everything thats going on with my cars from the tires to the brakes and the suspension and took his time to explain to me the course of repair. I must say this is the first time that anyone ever showed me was wrong with my car. After a few hours they called me back and told me my car is ready. I rarely give reviews, but these guys fixed my tires up on a Saturday evening when I was so much in a hurry to get out of town even though it was almost their closing time. They were really polite and friendly as well. Mr. Tire is the best place to be on a Saturday afternoon or any day as a matter of fact! I really appreciate these guys.

Terrible service. I was told my tire that had a screw in it that it could not be fixed because too close to the edge - not the case, this was atleast 2 from the edge. Another Mr Tire location gladly fixed it the next day. Bigger issue, and why you should never go there - the guy behind the desk is sitting there without a mask while 6 customers are waiting - completely disrespectful of customers and fellow coworkers. Okay so I went here and they were clearly trying to take advantage of me. Quoted over $2000 worth of work. New tires, rims, breaks, rotors, alignment and balance .... just a mess. I know a bit about cars. Took my car to get breaks and didn’t need rotators, got four NEW name brand tires at a great price and took it to another Mr. tires didn’t need new rims at all, just alignment and Tires balanced. Spent about $450 for everything! I don’t like dishonest people and the guy kept saying “I’m honest about my work”...it’s was disheartening. Be careful!

Frank and his team are absolutely amazing! Would get an oil change here over Valvoline any day! Tires and service are great too. Always communicates every step of the way and the best prices I have found anywhere. Frank has been the only auto shop I have ever actually enjoyed going to! Could not recommend enough!

Very honest and straight forward service. They made sure to point out any issues they saw with my vehicle when they were changing my tires; but werent pushy when I refused additional service. I took an UBER home so I could get some work done, and they called me while I was walking through my front door. All included, it took about an hour and a half for new front tires.

I hate having to do anything with my car other than to pump gas and drive. I walked in the door with what some would call an attitude. When I approach the counter it must have been written all over my face that I didn’t want to be there. Vinnie greeted me with a smile and a joke. I couldn’t do anything but laugh. His humor and kind gesture soften my attitude. Service like this is hard to find and it was greatly appreciated. He provided excellent service and made suggestions to make sure I keep my car in good shape. I’m definitely suggesting this Mr. Tire location and Vinnie is the man.

My experience was wonderful!! Donnell and Vinnie were so nice!!! They explained everything to me that needed to be done to my vehicle. The issue that I thought I had was not the problem, they told me what the issue was and how it was going to be fixed:) I love the fact that they gave my vehicle an entire inspection!!!!!! I recently purchased a fourteen (14) year old truck. I took it to Mr. Tire for inspection. After giving it a very thorough inspection, it was returned to me in a timely manner. the employees were professional and friendly. It did not pass;; but, I only had two (2) things to fix. Subsequent getting them fixed, I dropped my truck back off the following week. Again, the employees were fired;y, thorough and professional. I was able to pick up my vehicle and my inspection documentation saying PASSED.

This has been one of the best shops ive ever had my car in. Frank was wonderful, caring and ever so kind. The very stressful situation we where in was made very easy by frank and his team. I cant recommended them enough and if anything ever happen to a car i have again i will definitely be a return customer. Thank you so much!

I HIGHLY recommend this shop to everyone. They don’t just do tires they do everything! From the time i stepped on their grounds i was treated with nothing but respect from the manger Frank and Vinnie (the tech who worked on my car) they didn’t try to up charge me like other shops do and they. I was referred by a friend to go to Mr. Tire. I went on a Saturday afternoon for an oil change. It was busy, but they handled the rush very well. They waited on myself and every other customer in a timely manner and gave their undivided attention. First off, Ive always had good service at several Mr. Tire locations (Catonsville, White Marsh and now Howard St) and have felt comfortable with their recommendations. They have consistently told me honestly what needs to be done and what can wait. I know a little bit about cars and its nice to find a place you wont be swindled. Recently I brought my car in for control arm replacement and they saved me $500+ by not replacing parts that were still good and only replacing the parts that were about to go. Awesome! Thank you Dave & Mark! Ive had my car serviced at this location a few times now and its become my new shop. Highly recommend!

I wish I could give this place 0 stars! Absolutely horrible experience. We called for a tire on Thursday, the manager (Frank) told us they had it and we could pick it up that afternoon - perfect, great. Went to pick it up & Frank says now they do not have the tire they said was put on hold and tried to sell us a crappier tire. Turned that one down and said we wanted the initial tire put on hold, he said, ok well have it tomorrow. Two days go by and I still dont have that tire. No calls when they were promised, every time we call they say its not ready yet (Ready??? We just wanted to pick up the tire - no service). I call on Sunday, someone different picks up the phone and says they have no tires of the brand I asked for. I should have gone to someone else initially, and would have had my car fixed days ago. Horrible. Do not go here.

Vinnie is the absolute best. I’m a college student with very little money. He did not sell me anything that I didn’t need. However, Frank is the rudest guy ever. He sells you products that you don’t need. They rest of the crew is awesome. I’ll recommend Vinnie to anyone.

Great experience here! I had driven over a piece if metal and I wanted to check for a leak. They were very busy, but the manager (I think) did a quick visual inspection on the spot so I didnt have to wait or leave the car there. Luckily there wasnt one, but he was kind enough to top off my tires while I was there. He didnt ask for any money, just that I leave a good review, which I am happy to do because it was a pleasant experience. Thank you!

The team took care of a State Inspection for me in less time than estimated. Clean inside and out, cable television. Courteous staff, knowledgeable, patient and very accommodating. I’ll use them again.

From a Covid safety perspective, it wasnt great. Inside the litttle shop the employees didnt wear masks, or one had one but it didnt cover him fully. They didnt seem to follow basic safety precautions around wearing gloves, touching pens and things, or enforcing social distancing. I ended up waiting outside for over an hour in almost 100 degree heat because it was preferable to being inside. I regret not going elsewhere.

I rarely give reviews because I try not to judge an establishment or a person by one or two interactions. This place has been consistently delivering and exceeding expectations. Had a blow out and no one had my tire in stock. Everyone was telling me about having to order it and I would have to wait for several days. I called this place and the manager Frank told me to give him an hour he would have the tire in the building for me. Within 45 minutes, he called me back ready to install my tire. Great customer service and bubbly personality

It’s great to see that there are still honest mechanic shops in the area. I’ve recently moved here from out of state. And actually being brought into the shop to see exactly what was going on with my car gave me even more peace of mind. Mark was great to work with and explained everything in great detail.

This place is awesome! My hubby and I were on our way back home from our mini roadtrip and saw a tire pressure light coming on. We realized one of our tire went almost flat. (Mild panic... because we were still hours from home.) We tried local tire centers around us and none could look at our car because they were all about to close and were not accepting additional cars to repair till the following day. (Mild panic continues... D:) We came to Mr. Tire and hubz and I said to one another, if they say no too, then we will just drive home and keep our fingers crossed. Thankfully, someone from Mr. Tire was able to take a look at our car and offered to do the repair and made it quick! Really appreciate the fantastic service. Kudos to Manny and team! Thank you!!

Good place. Quick. Clear explanation of my choices and the costs. They had parts on hand. Were able to put two new tires, rotate, balance, align, change oil, check fluids, change back brakes all in one visit at a reasonable price. People who work here are friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.

Mr Vinnie is the best!! He did not try to sell me stuff that I didn’t need. I was there Saturday and Frank tried to sell me everything that I didn’t need. I’ll recommend you come see Vinnie and his crew that was dope.

You could say I am now a repeat customer. I have been going to this Mr. Tire for years. You live in the city, youll have issues with your tires. Well, these folks take car of my car. They are friendly, get you in and out as quickly as possible, and are professional and up front about things (the wait, repairs, etc). I would recommend calling ahead if possible and making an appt. - because they are a good place, people go there. Today, Frank greeted me at the front desk with a smile, looked at the tire and explained the issue, expedited my check in, and just as I was settling in for a wait, he called me up to tell me the car was done. Good to go!!!

This is more like a 2 part review.PT 1: So, the first time I came to this location (a year ago) I was not greeted and waited forever just for this nonchalant, attitudinal man named Mike to tell me that my tire order was lost. He had no explanation, zero customer service skill and wasnt trying to make it right even tho I had my receipt in hand. After the issue was finally resolved I vowed to never return to this location.PT 2: Fast forward to a week ago. I went in having no choice because of the limited time I had and was completely surprised. Not only did I get everything I needed done in a timely fashion but the man that assisted me was so kind, attentive and courteous. This time as I left this location I felt that my money was well spent and I will definitely be coming back if Vincent Gilliam is going to be there. In just one visit he has completely made up for the horrible firstimpression that was made just a year ago. Thank you again Mr. Gilliam

Avoid at all costs!The staff does NOT wear masks in the waiting room area!The bathroom is not stocked to allow one to clean their hands during this pandemic!They did not honor the warranty. I had a fire repaired (patched) by them on 7/15. My tire went flat on 7/28, I aired it up and made an appointment for 7/29. On the morning of 7/29, I re aired my tire and went to my appointm ent. Two hours later the maskless guy said he couldnt find any problems, and even questioned my truthfulness in airing up the tire! I demanded my keys back, and went to another shop who quickly fixed Me Tires patch. Im out $26, not a big deal but the time and accusations of lying and not wearing a mask or keeping a useable bathroom while I waited forever are intolorable.
