This place is great! I finally found an honest car dealership. I bought my car tires from a dishonest dealer, and every time I get my tires rotated they find something wrong with my car that they want to fix. I always get a second opinion from Leading Edge and they tell me I dont need to get that work done. And their prices are honest. The Honda dealership wanted to charge me $350 to change a light panel. Leading Edge put in a new one for $150. I have never stepped in a Honda dealership since. And why would I? The mechanics at Leading Edge are certified in Honda repairs.

Brought in my 2007 Honda Odyssey for a general inspection to make a decision on whether it was worth investing more to keep the car running or just sell it. I Needed a place that I could trust to tell me the truth and knew people that had other great experiences there. I worked with Joe who told me it would need $2,000 worth of maintenance work, but would recommend against doing it unless I had the timing belt previously replaced. I think another group would have just told me I needed a new timing belt and made that part of the repairs. I respect not only the work Leading Edge does, and I appreciate their honesty even more. I feel really comfortable that I made the right decision and will drive the car for a couple more years.

I have used Leading Edge in the past for different car repairs and have always been pleased with their professionalism, that they are fair and do a good job.This past Wednesday evening I got a signal that a tire was low after I just put air in the tire, so I called LE to ask if they could take a look to see if it needed a patch. Told me to come in at 9 on Thursday, and they took me immediately, checked all tire pressure and found a screw in the back tire. They patched my tire for no charge!! This place is awesome. I have heard about it from numerous friends. I stopped by on a whim with a lense cap that needed to be re-affixed. Everyone was so polite and patient. Colin did a quick temporary fix for me and I was given a very reasonable estimate for a permanent solution. They are all very professional. Colin is a gem!

Customer service is amazing at this place. I got a flat tire on my way to dropping my boyfriend to get his car fixed at Leading Edge. The mechanics and staff were kind enough to change my tire and help me put on my spare (even though I wasn’t the customer). Later that day I went back to pick up my damaged tire and I accidentally locked my car keys in my trunk (clearly it wasn’t my day). The staff was again was kind enough to help me get into my car to get the keys. I am so grateful to them for their help and time. I didn’t pay them for anything and they helped me out the kindness of their heart. My boyfriend has great compliments about their body work and service. I will be returning here for any further service and I would definitely recommend this place!

I trust Leading Edge 100%. I have been taking my older car to them for the past 2 or 3 years and they are always helpful and thorough in diagnosing any problems. They clearly talk you through any issues that they find and if/why they need to be fixed. They don’t try to sell you services you don’t need, and have done a number of small services for me for free (removing a nail and patching the tire, replacing my windshield wiper hose, etc). Great people and excellent service. Highly recommend.

I had a nail in my tire that I have been putting off getting fixed. I called on a whim to see if they had an opening to fix it for me and they said to come right in. They fixed the tire in 15 minutes and didnt charge me for the service! They were so nice and helpful. I will definitely go back there for service.

I used Leading Edge after my 2014 Silverado was involved in a serious accident. Several of my friends who have also used Leading Edge for their vehicle needs recommended that I take my truck there. I must say what a great decision. After my truck was repaired, It looked awesome! Jeff and his staff did a wonderful job. The service was completed on the date I was told. The employees there are great to work with.Since then I have had several nails in a few of my tires. I took my truck to Leading Edge and they fixed the tires free of charge. No wait time. They also have a great deal on vehicle detailing. If you are in need of any type of vehicle service, I strongly recommend you take your vehicle to Leading Edge. Great place!!

I have been bringing my cars to Leading Edge for several years now. As a young single woman, I am often skeptical of mechanic shops and used to worry I was being swindled. I no longer have to worry about this as their employees are extremely honest and transparent with explaining my repairs. They are also very timely in their repairs as I’ve never had to deal with a delay or rent a car for longer than I was told. I’ve recommended their services to my friends and they too have had nothing but wonderful things to say. Most recently I had an issue with a tire and stopped in. Dan was quick to take a look at it for me and my issue was resolved within the hour. This was especially wonderful considering it is the holidays and I know they must be swamped. He took it to Firestone (next door to work). They told him it would be a full exhaust replacement for $5,000.00. He panicked and started shopping for new cars. I told him to take it to Leading Edge.Leading Edge recommended an exhaust specialist. Took the car, with our approval, to this specialist. Specialist fixed the exhaust, and we picked the car up from Leading Edge. Total charge was $350.00. Car sounds great and my son didn’t get the run around.Can’t recommend Leading Edge any higher!

My experience with this group started off rocky. A simple brake pad replacement job turned into multiple trips lasting several weeks. After much money and time, they couldnt figure out a brake squeal that developed after their work. While it was frustrating that this couldnt be sorted, these guys were honest and hard-working throughout. Ultimately, they refunded everything back to me, despite putting in multiple sets of pads, rotors and a ton of time. Certainly not the ending youd want, but they get major points for being honest in their approach. Ill be giving them more business based on this alone.

Im a single divorced guy so I had no one to stop me from plopping down a buttload of money on the 6-figure car that Ive always wanted - a C63 Sport with a special gunmetal matte paint job - the thing is my baby. To my immense annoyance, a month or so ago I was rear-ended driving through the city. I started asking around, and searching online, for the best body shop to get the repairs completed and Leading Edge was continually mentioned.I cannot say enough about my positive experience with them. They did a perfect job fixing my car, which, due to the specialized paint, was not an easy task. The Manager Dan was fantastic to work with - always 100% communicative/responsive with updating me on any progress and answering any questions I had. They also completed the repairs within their estimated timeframe, despite several snow days.When I returned to pick up the car I noticed a small dent on the hood which wasnt there when I dropped it off. Instead of it blowing up into a big/contentious issue, Leading Edge was 100% professional and immediately assured me that they would take care of resolving the problem. The very next day they sent out a Dent Specialist to my office and he did a very impressive job of fixing the dent right in our parking lot. I was really impressed with the way they handled this issue and think it demonstrated a level of honesty/customer service that seems rare to find these days (especially amongst autobody shops).I would 100% recommend Leading Edge to anyone looking for quality work done to their car without having to stress/worry about the outcome. I will be taking my car back to Leading Edge should I ever need their services again.

I am from out of state and didnt know any of these guys, also hadnt looked them up either. Stopped in yesterday to see if I could get help with removing baked on brake metal on a aluminum wheel from worn out brakes that werent changed soon enough. Guy behind desk came out and said sure, how much time you have? I told him I had my son in the hospital at Sinai and had time to wait. They got on it immediately. It was only one wheel but the techs worked 30 minutes or better with small brushes and a cleaner compound. Very good, helpful and hard working guys in the back. I went into pay and the guy behind desk said your good. I said what? He wouldnt take payment and wished me the best and my son also. I tried again to pay and he refused. This is not the reason for the positive review I am leaving. The service, helpfulness, team in back, and the end result was of such that anyone would have been more then happy to pay. We needed rear brake rotors and pads for our 2011 Hyundai Elantra. I got a Groupon for ceramic brake pads and brought the car in. Another service center quoted us $250 more than Leading Edge. The appointment was made for four days later, brought the car in at 9:00 and was out by 4:00Joe and his staff were extremely great.I had used Leading Edge to repair extensive collision damage to another car we owned years ago, and they did a superb job.We will use them again as mechanics.

These guys saved my day, My battery died at Whole Foods down the street from them. I called them in a panic and asked what I should do and the guy on the other line stayed on the phone with me while his mechanic came over and got my poor Honda started. I then drove there and they replaced the battery on the spot. These guys are great and very kind. Thanks again!!

I have been experiencing so many issues with my vehicle, purchased new from Hyundai of Bowie. After multiple dealer drop offs and what seems like endless, egregiously expensive repairs, I was told to try getting new brakes and an alignment to address one issue. Hyundai wanted to charge an arm and a leg. I found a Groupon for Leading Edge and decided the deal was worth the 30 + min drive. I cannot express how impressive this shop is. Their professionalism, honesty, and integrity was top notch! The staff was friendly and thorough. In addition to brake pads (Groupon deal), I had new front rotors put on and an alignment. Although they were busy, they completed everything so swiftly, and the prices were extremely reasonable. Their alignment charges are some of the best in the area. My car is driving fantastically now. I will be returning for other services. Thank you all so much for your hospitality and fantastic work!

Leading edge auto installed a trailer hitch on my van and went above and beyond to do the job right. They actually had to take off the bumper of the car to install the hitch. In September I was rear ended, and I immediately called Leading Edge. I had been to the shop for body work on my old car, and I will always trust my vehicle in their hands. They made the experience working with the insurance company very easy, and my car was ready within the time frame they gave. I even told friends & family that my car looks better now than before the accident!

I own an 18 yr old Jaguar that I took in for detailing. I was told it would be 4 to 5 hours and they offered to drive me home but I declined because I live about 35 miles away so just hung out in the waiting room. Before starting they showed me various scratches they said would not come out so I would not be disappointed with the final result.They got right on the job and finished in 3. The car looked fantastic when done, both inside and out. I was absolutely amazed what a great job they did and I cannot thank them enough.

So, I called my Mazda dealer and the cost was going to be $150+ just for the parts. Yikes! I opted to go with an aftermarket group and purchased the mirror. All good - but now I needed to get it attached.After checking out youtube, I realized that this was beyond my (limited) expertise. I drive my Leading Edge Auto all the time, and I called - they could do it and no appointment needed.I dropped by and within 15 min they had me set - and the mirror is great. Years ago, I took my car to Leading Edge. I can’t remember what was wrong, but it needed a part so I could go on a road trip the next morning. They drove to pick up the part and fixed my car that night!!That stuck with me, so when I found myself back in Baltimore, I brought my car to Leading Edge as soon as I started having issues. They didn’t fail to impress. I’m a stay at home mom of a toddler and I packed the diaper bag full of toys and books with a long day of repairs in mind. The staff actually drove me and the baby home so we could wait in a more comfortable location. By the end of the day, they had diagnosed a plethora of issues and fixed one free of charge. I plan on returning to finish work on the car... and any time I need them in the future.Leading Edge is a phenomenal auto shop. They go above and beyond to not only provide great service, but to also make their customers feel valued and heard. I’m really happy to have an auto shop that I can rely on.

I was rear-ended by another driver in January and my car needed extensive repair. After reading reviews online about local body shops in the Baltimore area, I came across Leading Edge Auto Body. I decided to trust them with the repairs to my 2015 Mazda3 and they did not disappoint. Over the phone and in person, Jeff and Dan were friendly, attentive and helpful every step of the way. They conveniently arranged a rental car for me during the two weeks my car was in the shop. After inspecting my car for the full extent of damage, Leading Edge discovered a need for supplementary repairs, doubling the initial lowball estimate provided by the insurance company. All said and done, Leading Edge returned my Mazda3 in excellent shape. It looks and feels as though the collision never happened! Leading edge has saved me literally thousands of dollars to date. I have had 2 cars serviced by them- a diesel and a hybrid and they’ve been exceptional with both. I’ve taken my car to them for tire issues, check engine light issues, body work, and inspections. They are across the board the best folks to work with. I’ve had other places, dealers and otherwise, quote me twice what Leading Edge has. They’re also honest when they think it’s best to get the work done at another shop. The most incredible thing is for my minor items (patched tire, realign the bumper, check engine light reviews, etc) they’ve done this free of charge or limited charge.I tell all of my friends to go there and they’ve had similar success with their professionalism/service and also unbeatable prices and quality of work! Leading edge is a gem of a shop- not just for Baltimore but across the east coast. When I move out of state next year, I will probably still hail my car to Baltimore to get it taken care of here because I don’t think the quality can be matched.

I had a really bad accident. My insurance wanted me to go somewhere else, but I chose these guys. I had never been here, but I had heard about them. These guys know their stuff. They were able to meticulously and pretty flawlessly put my car back together. You cannot tell that the car has ever been in an accident. I saw Leading Edge Auto Body had a Groupon for a wheel alignment, which I knew that I needed for a car I recently purchased. I called to set up an appointment on Sep 17, 2020, and I was told that the alignment would not be able to happen if there was damage to the vehicle. I decided to set the appointment, but not buy the Groupon until I knew for sure they would be able to do the alignment.On the day of my appointment with Leading Edge Auto Body (Sept 28, 2020), I explained I wanted an alignment because I had to hold the steering wheel to the left for the car to drive straight. He visually inspected the car and said it was probably because only one front brake was replaced. I told him that it was crooked before I got the brake replaced.I was told that I could not wait in the waiting room of Leading Edge Auto Body due to Covid-19. Leading Edge Auto Body asked if I would be leaving the car. I said no, I will be waiting. The man told me there is a Starbucks down the street and pointed in that direction.I went into the Whole Foods and ordered two pieces of sicilian pizza (super good btw). While I was waiting for the pizza, I got a call from Leading Edge Auto Body asking me if I was going to be using any Groupon or coupon. I said yes I will be using a Groupon, but I didnt buy it yet, I wanted to see if you would be able to do the alignment first. I was told they would be doing the alignment so I agreed to purchase the Groupon. I was told I had to purchase the Groupon before they started the service, and they had to see it. I walked back to Leading Edge Auto Body.When I first got back, I told them that my Groupon just said pending, and they said thats okay... It takes Groupon a couple of minutes to create the barcode. I sat down and I ate my pizza, and no one bothered me or told me about Covid-19 restrictions. I was the only customer present in the waiting area this entire time anyway.Ten minutes or so later, a worker came over to me and gave me a paper with an estimate on it for $1,235.10. He told me they did the alignment, but the car would need the following repairs, and then, once the repairs were completed, it would need another alignment. I was so confused, because this directly contradicted what I was told when I made my appointment weeks before. Furthermore, when I was given the estimate paper, I was not given the alignment paperwork, and I was not given my receipt. I was asked to wait for my receipt.I waited for 5 minutes before I asked for my key. I figured while I was waiting for my receipt and the alignment paperwork, that I could check my steering wheel to see if it was truly fixed. It turns out, that it was not fixed at all! I was really upset, because I was very explicit on the problem that I was having with the car. Instead of going back inside upset, I drove away without my receipt and alignment paperwork, but still with the estimate paperwork, which I will attach.I tried to go back to Groupon and cancel my Leading Edge Auto Body Groupon, but to my surprise, they had already marked it as used, on their end, with their computer. They hadnt looked at my phone at all. I called Groupon, and they said there was nothing they could do, because Leading Edge Auto Body had marked it as used. I called Leading Edge Auto Body and I explained to the manager why I felt I was being scammed. After we talked on the phone for a whole 15 minutes, he got frustrated with me as I detailed my encounter just as I am right now in this review.He ended up yelling at me, telling me that he will call Groupon so that I can get a refund. Then he said Never come back do you hear me? Never. Come. Back. (As if I would.) As I was agreeing to this, he hung up on me.The manager of Leading Edge Auto Body was true to his word, and I did receive money back for the alignment Groupon. Unfortunately, Groupon does not allow you to receive a refund back to your card, so I am stuck with Groupon Bucks instead of having my actual money back in my account.The rest of the review is on Yelp. What a great shop!! If you are looking for an honest, dedicated mechanic and body shop, this is the place to go!! Jeff and his team of guys have been amazing in helping me get my car back on the road! completing my work 3 days ahead of schedule and almost 500 dollars below my initial estimate, you can understand how happy I am. That being said, the work they did is amazing, I cant even tell my car has been in an accident! If youre looking for a body shop or mechanic, look no further. Call these guys and schedule an appointment, you will not be sorry!!

Got me to bring vehicle in at one price but after 2 weeks in shop price was increased 2 times the initial price quoted. The delay in part may have been due to COV19 but not the double in cost.

I cant say enough kind things about this auto shop. I work near by and have used them for years. They are kind, efficient, and very reasonably priced. They do great work and have helped me with a wide variety of car needs. If you have car needs from flat tires, oil changes, maintenance, whatever it may be go to leading edge for incredible service every time.

Had to get a scratch repaired at the auto shop and the people I dealt with very knowledgeable and provided a reasonable quote. The work was done in a timely manner and the scratch was completely fixed. They worked with my insurance company to submit the claim and got it approved.

They ALWAYS take great care of my vehicles in a face and courteous Manor. Staff very friendly and quick to help.in anyway possible. I never feel like I am being mislead or have had concern about what needs to be done. Great customer service!

By far, the best!

I have used Leading Edge for mechanical work twice now. The first time, they came with an estimate that was 40% of the cost of the dealership for brake work. They were fast and friendly with the work.For the second repair, on my heater, they diagnosed the issue and provided a clear set of options and outlined the pros and cons. When the cheap fix didnt ultimately work out (that WAS one of the listed cons), they were great to work with on the expensive fix. They communicated clearly on the timeframe and cost estimate and delivered EXACTLY on both commitments, which was great!And to top it off, I had accidentally dropped a $10 bill in my car at some point, and the mechanic who was doing the work found it and left it out for me to find. It just reinforces the sense of honesty and respectability from them.

This company is very honest and even more importantly they patiently explain your situation and sometimes will not charge you if they do not find the mechanical problem you think you are having. I have used them for body work in the past and they did a fantastic job so I decided start using them for mechanical problems. Jennifer is so sweet and helpful and Tim is very knowledgeable with the patience of a saint. Keep in mind that they are very busy and you have to work with their schedule but they are worth the wait. I brought my Honda to them and I highly recommend them.

Jeff & Co. are the best. I have been going there for years, and I have gotten great mechanical support. Jeff always serves as a trusted advisor, too, letting me know when I should consider replacing my car rather than continuing to sink money into repairs. Recently, I took my car to the dealer for a recall repair. They told me I needed a very pricey brake job. Leading Edge said I had much useful life left to the brakes, and they quoted a price far lower than the dealer. Leading Edge is great!

The work they did was excellent. The service was lacking. I was NEVER contacted by them until time to pick up my car. In the three plus weeks my car was there, no one communicated to let the status of my vehicle. I had to do all the calling.

Hello, this place is awesome. Brought my car in unannounced and mechanic scheduled me an appointment. Came in at scheduled time and they took me right away. In about an hour they were done with my car. I expected to pay a high price because of the neighborhood but they were right on point. Even if they cant get you in same day, its definitely worth the wait.

You wont find a better Auto Body repair shop. These guys are the best! They take pride in there work ,and are as honest as the day is long. Every time I have brought my vehicle to Leading Edge my expectations have not only been met, but exceeded. I would never take my car to another shop after having it serviced here. Saved our vacation! 30 minutes into a 6 hour drive, our tire pressure light came on. One tire just wouldnt fill. Called LE --they said they could see us right away. They plugged the tire (with our luggage and cat in the car) wouldnt take payment and refused a tip. We are regular customers because they are consistently great.

Leading Edge is SO trustworthy!Jeff and Ryan are the best. They have helped me with all my car problems in Baltimore. I recommend them to ALL my friends! Ive even recommended them to friends who live in Philadelphia. Its so worth finding a mechanic who you trust especially when you live out in Baltimore City and your car gets dinged here and there from the most unexpected of events.Theyve done so many extra services for me free of charge. Its hard to repay them for all the extra things theyve done for me because theres been so much! Its unbelievable how nice and how reliable they are-- they definitely go out of their way, their customer service is amazing, but honestly everyone who works there is just a great person. I purchased a Groupon for a brake replacement. I have a vehicle with 20k miles on it that was evaluated by Mini... so I know exactly what was necessary as determined by the dealer. I walk in for my scheduled appointment and the first thing I am asked is if I have a groupon. When I reply yes, the man wants to look at my car. He takes my keys into the parking lot and returns 2 mins later to announce that my groupon doesnt cover the $280 fee for new rotors which are mandatory. When asked why the rotors can not be turned, he informs me that they do not have machining equipment. To replace OEM rotors that have never been previously machined is an absolute scam. I declined and went next door to the shell station who does brakes....and got a third opinion (even mini didnt require rotors)...... they agreeded no rotors necessary. In conclusion, if I would have paid the $80 for the Groupon and the $280 for rotors, it would have been more than the Mini dealer. This place takes advantage of women. Thanks for wasting an hour and a half of my day.

Please dont listen to your insurance when they suggest you use one of their approved shops.I will always take my car to Leading Edge - they work very hard for you when dealing with insurance. They fight to make sure you are getting the best parts for your car and make sure you get absolutely everything fixed that you should. Their work is always spot on!As a bonus my car was detailed before it was returned - it was so clean it was distracting!

The whole team is amazingly good natured, efficient and helpful. Not only that, they know what they are doing with cars and take care with their work. This is the best car repair place I have ever gone to. And Ive been driving for many years! Im grateful they are there. They even make good use of the limited space they have to stash cars being worked on. Amazing!
