Theres no where in town of bakersfield that carries my favorite product but this store i am truely thankful they continue to keep products like this i Thank them highly for being kind and greetful when i arrive to purchase i shop no other place for cleaning supplies and hardwareManager and cashiers are amazing

Customer service rep didnt really l ow what he was taking about in the Bakersfield store. I knew more about the item we were asking about by reading the nearby pamphlet and when I asked questions about what he said that contradicted the pamphlet he could not explain why things were different.

Couldn’t get any help. One employe pointed where we needed to look he then completely disappeared. The employees were all talking at the front of the store. Will not go back to this store.

Saved me $250.00 by helping find a tap and die set to rethread the bolt for a pool filter clamp. They took the time to fit my bolt for the correct set which was not and an easy task. I love this place!!!

Went in for fittings for a dryer and got exactly that and staff assisted. Couldnt of asked for more.

Don’t waste your time: they don’t have it. Went in to get some help and parts for 5 projects. Ready to pay more to get the service. Not only didn’t I get service, they didn’t have the parts or any idea how to do it. When I checked out Josh asked if I got what I needed, I told him no. He just kept wringing up one item I could find and didn’t reply.

Home Depot & Lowes are inundated with customers due to COVID-19, you can get what you want but takes forever to check out.Decided to try the local Ace Hardware store in Bakersfield off Rosedale Hwy & Verdugo. Placed an order online at the Ace website, waited for the email to inform me the order was in. Instead got a personal call from the store and thought that was nice. Until I got to the store and they only had 2 of the 7 items I ordered. No one could answer where the rest of my order was, that the print out only said I had ordered 2 open bar holders. I informed them that I had $40.00 worth of items, gardening soil, fertilizer, sprinkler head etc. I threatened to cancel my online order and then the manager tried to make it better by dragging me through the store trying to find the rest of my order, had me pay for the items I had already paid for online, took my order information, name, number, email and said another manager would the next day credit me for my original online order. THIS credit NEVER happened. A week later and I am still trying to get my money back for my original order, over $30.00. WHAT A JOKE!I have had PHENOMENAL experience with Ace Hardware on the Central Coast (Grover Beach & Morro Bay). But, I will NEVER be going back to this Ace Hardware store again.

I love my neighborhood hardware store. If I ask where something is they actually know where it is. They have a good variety of odd-ball parts and when you live in a 80 year old house those odd ball parts are needed frequently. The had, in stock, the control valve for my 1920s antique floor heater. Even had the parts for my old style crank open windows.

I try so hard to support the smaller stores but every single time I come in here I leave empty handed and irritated and head to Lowes. Theyve never got what I need but they enforce Newsoms mask policy like they were all deputized by the CDC.

Friendly and helpful environment. Very mom and pop store with an abundance of useful home, lawn and garden products.

All i need to do is ask for help and you get it with the most respect. Your team is awesom

Ace has specific items the large hardware stores dont have. Must see store inventory.

Went in with the intention to buy a lawn mower and I asked an employee for assistance and he just pointed to the area where the lawnmower would be, then he just turn around and walked away. Of course did not bought lawnmower and went somewhere else

Selection is kind of low. And they are out of half of what they do carry. But there are no lines to get in. Ill go to Ace before I stand in line for Home Depot or Lowes in 100 degree heat.

They were out of the parts I needed. They were really slow when I was there. I think I was the only person in the store. The person that helped me Roger was nice and did a good job. My rating is more about the selection and higher prices.

Went in store on a Sunday. Had to wait for some time to get help. Finally a older man by the name of Roger helped. Roger had no patience, I told him what I needed and he was quickly assuming what I needed. I told him I needed a foot of a particular hose, he didnt even measure it. I told him it looked rather short and he assured me it was a foot long. I also got 2 washers at 10 cents so he wrote it on the plastic bag which he said 10 cents a piece. I went to pay for the items in which he cashier the transaction. I got home and measured the hose and it measured under 8 inches and I was curious why I spent a lot more for the items so I looked at the receipt and it showed $1 per washer. So I got over charged for the washers in which he charged me $1 for, remember he wrote it on the bag for 10 cents in which it should had been. Also I had to go to a auto parts store nearby to get a foot long hose. Bad service and arrogant employee. Wont shop there, beware and check to see if youre being charged accordingly to what the price should be.

I went in today trying to figure out what size of pvc I needed and i was really talked down to. This guy was super rude. You guys really need to work on your customer service cause you guys suck at it really bad. They need to fire whichever bald guy was working there Wednesday. He ruined my whole day. I was just looking for help. Not for someone to treat me like a kid which I’m not.

Need to train your clerks about terminology. Whether it is called a torx head or a star head...same tool. No need to be condescending as both terms are correct. Have spent a great deal of money at that store...no longer...don’t need to be man-splained.

Great Store. A bit hard to find but worth it.

Most of the people that work there are helpful and friendly, but you have the few that are not! We took our Traeger BBQ for service( traeger told us they had already contacted them and sent all the information over) and when we dropped it off I tried to explain what was wrong with, well the guy that handles all that wouldn’t even let me tell him what was going on with it. His response was “oh yeah I got the email but hadn’t read it” REALLY! He had it maybe 4 hours and then call and said theirs nothing wrong with your BBQ and that my pellets were wet and that we didn’t take proper care of it. So not true! So she said he had been running it all day and it’s fine , come and pick it up. What? All day? You had it just a few hours! So we come to pick it up ( mind you we have to drive 100 miles round trip) and guess what, the guy says , about your BBQ it does not work! NO KIDDING! So I was fuming at this point! I told him I tried to explain to you what was going on and so did traeger! He literally started to argue with me. I said fine what’s next!? He said you’ll get a new one. So I’ll send everything over to traeger and let you know Monday. Okay thank I’ll call you then. Well I call Monday, oh he don’t work Monday or Tuesday he’ll call you Wednesday? Excuse me? This guy has lied to me so many times, I’m call traeger. So I did and guess what, he did not even put the order in for us to get a new one. So I call Wednesday and talk to him and his lying response was oh yeah I called, but let me call and see what’s going on. I said that funny because you did not call! So the next call I got was from traeger and the they would be sending me a new one straight to my house and I didn’t have to worry about the old one. So if you have to have your BBQ worked on, DO NOT TAKE IT THERE! The guy is a liar!

2 stars for the store not having a line. Thats about it. The fat, bald male employee isnt very customer friendly. The older lady who checked me out, forgot her name, she was nice. More expensive than the big box stores. I would reccomend you only go here if you need something quick and in a hurry, as the bad service really is really offputting. As others have reviewed, they are rude here.
