Not a bad little store. The salesman was a little overbearing. When you come into a store to buy an instrument you want to play it not hear the salesman play it. I found what I was looking for at a decent price.

I am a BEGINNER, but nobody talked down to me while I was trying to make decisions for my son and my first guitars. We came in during the week and the staff was soooo helpful! I went back a week later and again we were helped by a very patient and knowledgeable employee! I never felt judged or taken advantage of! Highly recommend!

These guys rock, they fixed my guitar and bass today for a minimal fee and let me try out some different guitars. Now I am back recording thanks to IRC.

Great music store! They have a bit of everything for everyone here! They have all the stuff you would expect like new brand name guitars, drums, keyboards, as well as amplification and stage audio equipment. Its all nice stuff, but besides that they have a lot of hard to find niché stuff, like tuners, machine heads, bridges, strings, harmonicas, on and on..... Great place to find hard to come by musical items! The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they really seem to know their stuff too!! I highly recommend checking IRC Music out for yourself!

They may not be the biggest in the Indy area ( just west in Avon on Rockville Rd.) but I think that may be why their customer service is second to none! Their selection is Awesome and their prices are more than fair

I took my guitar for a basic setup right after I purchased it. The guitar was in perfect condition. When I picked up the guitar, I immediately noticed a few light scratches on the front of the guitar that hadn’t been there before, as well as a scuff on the side of the guitar (about the size of a quarter) and a large, deep scratch on the back of the guitar.Unfortunately I will not be returning to this store for any more maintenance. Even though it was set up properly and sounds good, the instrument suffered damage that is not repairable without refinishing it, which is crazy being that it’s only 2 weeks old. I wish they had taken a little more care during setup to prevent damage.

I feel like I was overcharged for the services I received, also waited a long time for a tiny piece they had to order special. The employees didnt seem to have very useful knowledge about instruments or a couple other things I asked about...However the services I asked for were able to be completed so thats good.

Great selection. Went in with an old, broken electric guitar I was gifted. They were happy to take the guitar and give me store credit for some items I needed. Very helpful.

I love IRC been buying stuff there for the past 5 or so years and the employees there are great musicans and great people. Chris the owner is also a great guy. The store is very clean and well kept. Would recommend to anyone looking for great gear and great service.

I think IRC west is a dandy music store. Dandy indeed. I think Chris is a very nice fellow (much like myself. I too am a nice fellow) I think the staff are very knowledgeable and a nice fellows as well. I recently bought a Yamaha mixer from them and my happiness and satisfaction factors are very high. Very high to be sure.I have also bought an Epiphone Sheraton, A Paul Reed Smith and a Taylor guitar from them. They have always been very kind and helpful and willing to make the instruments play and sound their best. Now if i only knew how to play any of these lovely guitars, my experience would be complete.

Excellent music store, extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. I cant speak for all of them, but the music teachers Ive encountered are absolutely first rate, both as musicians and teachers.

Absolutely great. The selection is similar to most similar guitar-type stores Ive been in, but the staff was great. Professional, helpful, and attentive, but also let me poke around in peace. I was in just looking for a mic stand, but was treated like I was buying a $1,000 guitar. Several people working even on Saturday afternoon, and on top of it all they offer lessons in piano, guitar, and drums for sure. Possibly also singing and other instruments, but I didnt hear those specifically mentioned either way.

I guess since theres so much online shopping these days, music stores dont carry large inventories anymore. What a shame. Makes it hard for musicians to hang out and trade horror stories about gigs. A pity.

My boyfriend took his bass in to get cleaned up and restrung. It was finished the next morning, in great shape. We took a look around and they have some great guitars and drum sets in there.

Stopped in to fix a string on my guitar. I’ve never fixed a guitar string, but I planned on learning on my own and getting it done. Very helpful. I first went in to have some old Cerwin Vegas brought back to life and get a new, modern Amp. Barry, the speaker tech, did a great job with a new horn. About 2 weeks later the Amp head went bad and Barry took it that day to the warranty repair shop. Great selection of new and used products as well.

They have a pretty good selection of music equipment, most of it is decently priced. But its hard to even try to negotiate a price.

Best place to feel at home and comfortable. The staff are super friendly as well as knowledgeable. Its a very honest place to get any music gear or instruments. I love this guys attitude and their work environment.

This shop still has that mom and pop feel that’s getting more and more rare. They have a lot of beginner gear along with some used sprinkled in. The staff is always very helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend if you’re starting out and don’t know what you need - they can help you out.

Very helpful and reasonably priced instruments (if youre looking to buy. I went in for a neck adjustment on my guitar (started by Tim) and got some tips to take better care of my guitar before I left from Moses who also gave my guitar a final check before I left!

Be warned they dont wear masks in this place nor do they enforce customers wearing masks. An overpriced plague nest this is.

Well, its nothing that I didnt expect.I was hoping to meet manager Chris regarding brass pedagogy but, as it turned out, he had just left.Tim helped me with the high-hat clutch Id popped in for.They have a lovely selection of instruments waiting for a home, including what looked to be a silver-plated King 1124 marching baritone.

IRC Music is fantastic! Ive purchased several guitars from them and have had them setup and intonate several of my electric guitar builds. I have been thoroughly satisfied. We went in looking for strap locks. The elderly man didnt even come out from behind the counter to greet us. We looked at straps, slim selection, then I showed him a picture of a Jimmy page gibson double neck 12/6 and he didnt even know what it was or where the second strap hook was. As a woman he tried to sell me the most expensive and when I looked at something less expensive but workable he totally blew me off and continued to talk about most expensive (typical salesperson). I just walked away and told my husband you talk to him. Too expensive, poor selection of inventory (very few high grade), and very unsociable. After looking at my receipt he over charged me and the amp cord doesnt work.

The staff knows more than the national chain. They keep you informed and can make repairs. It’s my music store to go to. Clean and respectable environment.

I saw a cymbal I wanted on Craigslist that was listed by IRC music in Avon, I called them and spoke with a very helpful salesman who patiently answered all my questions then checked me out. Two days later I had my cymbal exactly like it was described, well packed with receipt inside. These days that is all it takes to get 5 stars.
