I tried to order equipment from this place and was suppose to get a followup phone call but only got a call from where the supplies were being shipped from without an explanation. The manager that day I was there, had to leave and could not take the time to explain to a young lady that was staring at a screen to wait on me. She was not very attentive or helpful. This place use to be great but not any more. I would not recommend this place to anyone who wants personnel attention or cares enough call you back.

Really miss the folks who managed Home Respiratory folks for years, before a new group took over about two years ago when the former administrator retired. Compassion and helpfulness among the old staff was abundant. The new group has told me that they no longer re-order equipment and that their only purpose now is to provide sleep studies and sell the bi/c-pap machines and attachments with the first order. After that, you are on your own to find a company from which to order supplies. This seems to be a keep it simple business approach. I can think of several reasons why: 1. they will not need a lot of capital ($) to order supplies in advance; 2. they will not need as much storage space if they do not keep supplies on hand; 4. they will not have to deal with insurance companies for supplies; 5. they will not need to wrangle not only with a billing system for all the vendors, but also for re-orders from customers. What this company fails to recognize (even though they are acutely aware of the problem) is that there are so few supply vendors in the Austin area and some of them are not at all reliable.Their business model seems to be its not what we will do, but what we will not do. Minimal equipment/supplies on hand means minimal storage and expenses up front for the company. You also will need to find a company to evaluate your machine; periodically and to download information from your SD card in that machine that will inform your doctor the average hours of sleep you are getting, etc. However, there are very few companies in the Austin, Tx. area that do this.Last, but not least, the Home Respiratory sleep lab itself was well-appointed with classy antique furniture, giving a homey feel to make patients relaxed and more comfortable....thus more able to sleep with the monitors attached to their body. All that is gone now.

At first they were not very accommodating for someone who works.. the receptionist was eating while talking to me.. Once I got my equipment the gentleman was very nice and informative.. But you have to call several times before anyone will call back

This place is a challenge to deal with. Their technicians come in late, leave early, and will often simply not return phone calls. In the past week, my doctor faxed in an adjustment to my machine that they simply ignored it, leaving me to cope all weekend.

You have 2 options. Option 1: Everything fits and everything works from the start. In that case, these guys arent bad. Friendly enough. Helpful-ish. Nothing to write home about but no complaint. But maybe, like a lot of people, you need a mask adjusted or a change in equipment or have questions, in which case we move to Option 2: youre screwed. They dont answer phone calls. They dont return messages, especially if you bought instead of renting CPAP MAXINE. Their compensation seems based on getting you out the door with equipment -- not their problem if it doesnt cure what ails you. Follow-up maintenance and supply sales clearly arent prioritized. Nor long-term customer relationships. Wish Id read the other reviews before I wasted money and precious months here. Do yourself a favor. Check around.

I have used Home Respiratory for my CPAP needs for 10 years. I do not know why I continue to use their services. I can count on them being rude each and every time I interact with them. In person or on the phone, you get treated as if you are a bother, a real bother. Employees are unhappy and it shows. Time to move on. Its long overdue.

How funny that someone complains about this business calling them too much! I have to call when I want supplies. No one ever calls me. They have very limited hours to call for folks who work. Not impressed with the customer service. You feel like youre bothering them when you go to the office OR call.

Rip off. This place is a racket.Problem 1When I went in to have my study, I paid them. When I came back, they told me they could not give me the results of my study, that I would have to see the Doctor. (and pay yet another office visit). When I pay for a test I expect, and I believe I am given the right to, a copy of my results.Problem 2I used my CPAP machine twice. I could not sleep with it. I called them and my doctor and neither returned my call.Problem 3I started receiving monthly bills from them that looked like rental fees. I never agreed to rent the machine at all. The agreement I signed stated that 3 payments would be charged to my insurance. I received bills from them for almost a year and a half with no explanation.I returned the machine in person at their office and asked to talk to billing. I was told billing was at a separate location and does not accept walk-ins (How convenient for them). I was given a phone number, which I called several times, and never got any acknowledgement of my voicemails or a callback, just more bills for varying amounts.Big ProblemI then started to receive notices online that my CPAP machine, which I returned was being used. They evidently sold the used equipment to another person and I was receiving his notices. I received them for months.Biggest ProblemThey reported me to collections attempting to charge me for a machine, which I returned to them. $500 on top of the $600 they already collected from myself and my insurance. I am writing them a certified letter today.Realize, you can buy a CPAP machine online yourself for $600-$700.
