Generally very helpful and professional but we were surprised at the extent of the referencing process, which we were not warned about by anyone at Sawyer. As id made clear my partner was just waiting to sign for a new role, it would have always been difficult to badger her employer at that stage, which it was. There were also some issues with the property which werent brought to our attention prior to moving in, these were however largely fixed within 1 week of moving in.Generally a friendly and helpful team.

It is something that we had already considered and had approached another estate agent previously. With the other agent it appeared that we were expected to do all the work in an area in which we were not familiar, whereupon the agent would step in at the end and take their commission. How different things were with Sawyer & Co.The whole team and Matt in particular were brilliant from start to finish. They worked relentlessly to make it all happen. Nothing was too much trouble for them, even when we kept changing our minds about what we wanted to do. They definitely went above and beyond the call of duty.With their guidance and assistance, we ended up selling the plot of land to developers, which included the refurbishment of the existing property (currently let to the developer) and also our fathers property, to enable us all to relocate to the country and a property with an annexe for the father. I honestly do not think we would have achieved all of this without Matts help.We would not consider using anyone other than Sawyer & Co to manage the letting of our property once the developer has finished with it and I would recommend them to anyone.

Showed me 7 of the 10 worst places I saw in Brighton. Keep in mind that 10-15% of the places I saw did not have a full floor/walls/ceiling and that number becomes scary. All their advert pictures were beautiful, surprise surprise.I made an offer and even followed-up with more money on what was essentially a building site pretending to be a home (the toilet was stained black and hadnt seen a clean this side of the decade to give to you an idea) and a week later they hadnt even replied. After I told them to lose my details because I didnt want to work with them they replied at 8pm on a Friday with sass.They couldnt reply to my mail in over 40 business hours but could reply to insult me after hours.The irony is I would have paid over list if theyd bothered to speak to me.Buyer, seller or renter alike - I suggest you go elsewhere.

I’ve had a few experiences with sawyer and co now and I must say, they are the best letting agents in the area.I have dealt with Paige and Grace on a few occasions now and both have been a pleasure to work with. Sawyers are the managing agents of two properties I own. I have now been using them for about nine years now using their full management service. The whole Letting Team is efficient, polite and do a good job both managing and finding tenants whenever either of the properties become vacant. I feel pleased to recommend them to others.Over the nine years a few minor problems have arisen but all have been resolved satisfactorily.The manager designated to oversee my properties is now Tracy Lewis, a real gem to Sawyers and their clients. Very diplomatic, experienced, efficient and a likable person. If there is a problem she has the maturity, intelligence and experience to deal with it. I am very lucky and pleased that she is managing my properties and really hope she continues to do so.

My partner and I are moving from London to Brighton and we had no idea how competitive flat hunting was. After six weeks of looking we started to panic- flats were being let after the first lot of viewings. Ive rented out two properties through Sawyer & Co in recent months. Despite these difficult times, both rented after the first day of viewing and both at the asking price. I can not praise Kerry-Anne and Paige enough. Communication is always prompt, advise and updates clear and concise. Bought our home from this agent. In our experience they were unhelpful and unprofessional. Would not use them again.To top everything off they had the keys to our new home the day before we moved (without us knowing) and deliberately requested we wait for them to call us after completion. We waited a further 2 hours after we completed ( almost closing time) and still had not heard from them and chased in order to get keys to a property we had been in ownership of for a number of hours.

Poor service and everything left to last minute. Property rented with a working but expired carbon monoxide alarm.Tenancy agreement for signature not provided until less than 24 hours before move in date.Would not recommend

We’re renting an apartment via Sawyer’s since summer last year and we’ve felt our needs have been neglected (technical issues on the property) for a long time but when we raised the issues recently again we finally got the response followed by actions. When Spyros Miaris took care of our case we got all problems solved in no time. He provided exceptional 5* service, communicating, managing and pushing forward all that needed to be done to fix and eliminate issues on the property and made sure that everything was done properly and in a timely manner. With Spyros in charge of managing property we occupy we feel that we can trust Sawyer’s again not only to respond but to take actions when necessary.
