Im really digging this little local Asian food place. They have a varied menu and everything weve tried so far is really good and fresh. Im lazy and especially like that they have a drive through. Its nice to have the safety and convenience of a drive through while getting a quality meal.

Bathroom commode doesnt work and door doesnt lock...one of the workers gave me a dirty look for accidently walking in on her. Wonder how the other aspects of the restaurant are kept 🤔 prolly wont be eating from this location just to be safe. Lol
I tried this place because it had decent reviews. The first time I got it, it was terrible. It was worse quality than the Chinese food you get at Panda Express or a quick service Chinese place in a mall.I figured it was because I ordered later at night and decided to give it another try because they still had amazing reviews. I orders lo mein, dumplings, and a Thai tea. The noodles were so chewy that it felt like I was eating gummy worms and the beef in it was like chewing on leather. The dumplings I got were overcooked and the outside was super crunchy and the inner filling was dry. The only good part of my experience was the quick delivery and the Thai tea but those arent that hard to get right. Will not be giving them a third chance.
Restaurant owner is a piece of work. Yelled at me and another customer after we were waiting for 20min. All we asked was if our orders were ready. The guy is a little anger goblin and dosnt deserve your hard earned money. There’s more out there.
Extremely rude management. All I said was that “I am here to pick up two orders, and if they are ready”. The cashier started yelling the second I arrived. Decided to canceled my order. Not worth it.

I was craving some noodles and I found this spot close to my apartment. Went through the drive through and the guy at the window was friendly. The Udon Noods I got were amazing. Enough for two servings but I couldnt stop eating until I slurped down each and every nood on my platter. Ill be back.

We ordered via UberEats tonight and really enjoyed the food. We ordered the sweet and sour chicken, combo lo mein, and jalapeño crab wontons. All the food was delicious and hot, the wontons were crispy and delicious. That lo mein is up there with the best Ive tried and it had tons of meat in there. 10/10 would recommend.

Found a piece of rusted metal in our Mongolian plate and the manager doesn’t want to do anything to resolve it. Don’t eat here the food is bad and the fact that we found a piece of metal in the food is worse.Edit: manager agreed to give a refund if we go in person. Hopefully this is true. Regardless it’s such a hazard.

Delivery and dining extravaganza. I cant remember the spelling of the menu item main dish, a thin cut flank type of meat I believe. Very yummy.
The pros:This place is quickThey offer delivery and drive thru, as well as dine in.They have a good, varied menuEveryone in our party enjoyed what they ordered.They have gluten free and vegan options.The portions are quite large (2 full meals for me)The cons:Their food is extremely oily.They charge a $1 fee to make your dish vegan and another $1 fee to make it gluten free, making their food much less reasonably priced if you have allergies to consider.They also charge an extra $2 if you want more than a couple veggies in your dish.Their spicy edamame was literally just edamame with an excessive amount of cayenne pepper on top - so it wasnt flavorful at all, it just burned... And they charge you and extra dollar something for that.

Amazing food every time
Went last week. Probably the worse Chinese place ever. Got beef broccoli and teriyaki chicken. Beef was so chewy and nasty. Panda express taste better and cheaper
Chicken was more bread than meat and was really crunchy? Everything else tasted okay.
Ordered online with a pickup time 20 minutes in the future. arrived 5-10 minutes after that and the person at the window had no food with our name. showed the emailed receipt and was told that our food wasnt ready because we ordered so much (four entrees, which doesnt seem crazy to me, but whatever) and that we should pull around and theyd bring it to us. after waiting for 40 minutes, we finally received our food, no explanation, just sorry about the wait. next time, be up front about whats going on and how long its going to take so that your customers can decide what to do. just leaving them hanging after youve already accepted their money is a poor choice, to say the least.
I just paid $28.00 on food online for pickup. They took my money, and said that it was a mess up in the system.. so then I paid another time. I then drove around and waited for my food. They then brought out my food without my drinks . Which I told the guy at the window first before anything else. The person at the window did not hear me. Aka $21.00 more dollars to my card. So I said now.. I have to pay a third time.. $6.00 more dollars to fix what they didnt hear the 2nd time paying. In a total of $55.00 - $56.00 . For a meal that should have costed $28.00 . Like wait what..
Rude customer service, food took too long to get even after phoning in. They pay more attention to the GrubHub and door dash people than other customers in line.

Got a delivery order and besides being very bland, it appeared as though it was barely mixed with the sauce. The chicken was dry and the fried rice had large portions that were white. My wife’s ordered Lo Mein and the noodles looked more like fettuccine. Very little effort put into this order. We will not eat there again.

Best restaurant ever! Delicious food, great value! I also screwed up and ordered from the north Austin location, not South Austin. The manager was nice enough to remake it at no additional charge. Will definitely come back again and again!
Pretty standard for Chinese takeout. Great amount of food for the price and good if youre in the mood for some quick takeout. Not the most flavorful or authentic but not a bad deal.
Updated Review:The food is delicious, but they keep giving me wheat noodles when Ive ordered and paid extra for rice noodles. Its happened enough that I dont want to order here anymore, even though the food is really delicious. By the time Im home theres nothing I can do about it without driving all the way back to the restaurant, so Im stuck with scraping off the toppings and trashing the rest. Paying $11 for a small amount of meat and veggies isnt cool. They shouldnt advertise gluten free/low gluten options if they are going to ignore the order. Its EXTREMELY frustrating to pay extra and receive food I cant eat.Original review:The food here is really delicious overall and the service is good. Ive had a couple dishes I didnt care for, and one that I paid extra to have rice noodles, but received wheat noodles. But generally the orders are correct and yummy. The portions are good sized, so its not so expensive. There does seem to be significant variation depending on what time of day or day of the week but still tasty.

My husband and I really enjoy the cozy feel of the restaurant on Westgate and Wm. Cannon. Ive yet to have a bad meal. The service is extremely sweet and caring. I also have done the Grub Hub delivery and the driver is the sweetest! He is so funny and considerate. Hes an older gentleman with glasses and was a treat to talk to!
Nasty food every time I’ve tried it. Shrimp and chicken have a nasty texture and the food was extremely soggy. The flavor was disgusting and bland.

Ive been a customer of this place for years. I always enjoyed the food & really had no complaints until today. I placed an online order for delivery which was confirmed both on the website & via email. I waited 2 hours before it occurred to me they had no intention of delivering my food. By the time the 2 hours passed they had closed so there was no one at the restaurant to recieve my complaint call. This is VERY upsetting. I will not be giving this place my business any longer.
The manager was rude as hell. He hung up on me when I called with a question and hurried me through the drive through telling me to hurry and leave, meanwhile he had me waiting in the drive through lane for 15 minutes. Worst customer service ever.
I like the quality of the togo packaging, the rice tastes cooked to order, priced right, its made quickly, tastes good and doesnt make me sick. Win in my book for takeout night.

Wonderful food. The staff cares about you and wants you to enjoy this neighborhood restaurant.We had the Pad Thai and their wantons (which are fresh and homemade from scratch). It was all delicious! We will be back often.

The woman taking my order realized I was trying to make my order vegan so she simply said “I’ll make it all vegan for you, don’t worry!”The man looking after the lobby checked on me multiple times to make sure I was doing all right and always had a smile on his face.And the Owner/Manager greeted me+checked on me multiple times as well.10/10 restaurant! Sorry Super Bowl for cheating on you.....never again .Hmmm.... So decided to try something new tonight for fathersday. Why not? And hey why not use grubhub. Welp double nope on that. So the picture shows what we got for $48. So first the good.... ..... cricket cricket cricket(nope nothing good). Now for the not so good. We were informed that it would an hour for delivery....WRONG. 1 Hr and 45 Minutes. And a simple sorry from the driver. STRIKE ONE! Now for the food. Not only was it cold ...it was cold and gooey and the favor was horrible. And I tried it again after a 5 minute break. And yes, my first impression was a correct one.I ate 2 pieces and thought...hmmm this is not good. Then the child comes in from her room with a full plate and says this food is gross and cant eat another bite. And this is without us telling her that ours were both bad also. ....STRIKE TWO!!Then we let grubhub know about this and we get an we are truly sorry and next time you order with us you will have a $25 credit for you....even though you couldnt eat any of your $50 order Huh?!?! STRIKE THREE!!!We told her that isnt good enough. So she then tells us that okay they will contact the restaurant and see about a full refund and the restaurant will call us in 5 minutes. So now we are on an hour and still nothing. STRIKE 50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!In the end we threw the $50 away.... Seems fair. And guessing maybe another delivery service too. And yes it all went in the trash after the picture. YAY :(
I used to live down the road and now that I have moved...I am willing to drive across town to get Bamboo Bistro bc its AMAZINGGG. The service is always great and the orange chicken is the PERFECT combo of saucy and crunchy. Actually everything we get is fire 🔥🔥🔥 #BlessYouBambooBistro
These people are doing so well during a pandemic they do not deliver to Easton Park, and are very rude about it. My husband was trying to order and someone shouted in the background “we don’t deliver there!” This restaurant is clearly exceeding expectations during a pandemic I would go to other places where they need your business
First time getting food from the Bamboo Bistro. Pleasantly surprised by the menu options. The food was good for drive and through/take-out asian food. I got the beef Pad Thai which had great flavor. The Teriyaki chicken salad was unexciting but good. We will be back.

Ive had their food maybe 6 times and first 5 were...standard, par for the course food for this kind of place. Last night I ordered a Chef Special pepper shrimp and I didnt sleep at all, too busy running to the bathroom. That can only be dirty food because it is passing this morning although my guts feel ragged and I need to fast today to heal.
Every time we come here we are treated well, the food comes out quickly and the service is amazing! Its one of my favorite places to eat. My wife and I are vegans and they always accommodate.
This is a weird place. The food is great -very flavorful and sweet. But I think this used to be a different restaurant because it has the feel of a fast-food joint. No one is ever in there when I go for dinner, and I am not sure why.Perhaps I have just found a wonderful secret?Highly recommend this place for delicious Chinese food at very low prices and absolutely no wait.

Food tasted great! Enjoyed the sweet and sour with tofu and Bangkok noodles with tofu. Only reason for 3 stars is because they forgot our miso soup and our peanut sauce for our appetizers. Would have most likely tasted great.
Ive experienced some ups and downs over the years, but my last order was FANTASIC. The food was great and my delivery driver Sam was early and courteous (I asked for contact-free delivery). Highly recommend, especially with their great prices.

Ive always really enjoy this restaurant because their services fast and everything is very affordably-priced. The location is also ideal at William Cannon and Westgate. I will say when they start out a few years ago the food was amazing and now that theyre busy all the time the food just isnt as good as it used to be but its still good and its still a great price.

Listen yall - your takeout dreams are about to come true with this place. for what it lacks in curb appeal, bamboo bistro makes up for (and then some) with their food, customer service, reliability, and quick service. bamboo is an insanely well managed restaurant with great food and an amazing staff. worth your business... again & again.

Waiter was obviously having a hard time and distracted, food was good however, i had the rice noodles with broccoli and tofu; extra- spicey, and tofu aveggie dumplings *(which i had to take back bc i thought i just ate meat/turns out it was TVP and tofu inside) but i only got one small container of the chilli oil to sufice the extra-spice i requested)
This place always satisfies. The staff are super nice too! Our favorites are the pad Thai (level 2 spicy) and the Red curry dish. Our kids love the vermicelli steam bowl with chicken, which makes a kids meal that we can feel good about, nothing fried and they get their veggies too!

The last three times ive been here since covid, I haven’t been able to get anyone to either understand, or have enough free time to get me when I ask for sriracha. I’ve literally been told I’m. “Too busy” to get that for you. But they’ll have enough to time to pretend to run to the back and come back and tell me they’re fresh out. They’ve messed up my order for the manager to tell me “sorry he’s new” and do nothing. I showed up admittedly close to closing one night for them to tell me “you lucked out my kitchen don’t want do nothin, here” it took me three separate visits to finally write something. Service has suffered a massive blow here recently as I’ve been coming to this place for the last two years. I have not been rude about a thing to this establishment to illicit any kind of treatment this way. I really want to keep coming to this place but this is just embarrassing.

First time visit, was very impressed at how clean the store is and how quickly they cleaned up after us. Kudos to the young woman who greeted us at the counter, walked us through the ordering process, and kept up with us during our visit. My Thai chicken cashew dinner was wonderfully seasoned and delicious; as was my grandsons General Tso chicken. We will definitely return to try more dishes.

My favorite asian restaurant in Austin! The food is full of flavor and tasty. I usually get the chicken fried rice or sesame chicken with fried rice 100% recommended. Great customer service and really fast service with a drive thru.
