I’ve been a big fan of Tecovas boots so was glad to see they had a physical store to stop in and check out. Staff was very friendly and the store was clean and well organized. Easy try on process. No complaints and highly recommend checking this place out if you’re looking for quality boots at a reasonable price.

Juju was great! She was very professional and helped me pick out the perfect pair of boots even as my baby screamed in the background. I ended up getting a men’s pair because I have challenging feet, but she assured me they still look great and women buy men’s boots for themselves all the time. I loved the store and the quality of the Tecova’s, would recommend.

Worst customer service experience probably of my life today at the South Congress location. I was patiently waiting for a pair of boots to be brought to me after giving my size and then was completely ignored by the girl who was supposed to be helping me. I then see her hanging out and laughing behind the register (knowing she sees me). Very confused at this point. After 15 minutes go by, she tells me that those were the owners and that they have to be given special service when they come in the store.If the owners believe in making their customers wait while they get VIP service, I wouldnt recommend shopping here to any of us normal people.

Amazing customer service. Justin was so helpful. I walked in yesterday and didn’t really know what I wanted. Justin showed me the best sellers and trends, got my size in the Annie’s, and made sure the fit was correct. I wanted them in white which they didn’t have in store so he signed me up on the mailing list so that I can be notified when they are back. He was very patient with my questions which I appreciated since it was my first time in the store! Thank you Justin for a great experience! :)

From calfskin and suede to ostrich, gator, and lizard, the boots are high quality at fair prices. I appreciate the service, attention to detail, and high standards that Tecovas adheres to. The denim jeans and duffel bags are equally exceptional. I hope Tecovas makes a Womens version of the Jackson and creates a side zip option for female clientele. And, our Associate named Luke was delightful! Keep up the great work.

Bought a pair of Tacovas on-line. The boots fit perfectly, look great and are very well made.After dealing with Chinese made artificial western boots for some time its a real pleasure to finally have a pair of boots made by people who have pride in their work and know what western boots should be. Dont make the mistake of buying Chinese boots, youll be happy you bought Tacovas.

Best boot value ever; have a pair of brown Stockton’s for weekend wear and a pair of gray Roy’s for work. Both are super comfortable. Materials are high quality and workmanship is excellent. Design is simple and not over-done. Fit is great out of the box and after just a few days is like nothing I have owned before. Highly recommend.

These boots are extremely poor quality! I bought 3 pairs of boots from them and 2 of them didn’t even last me a year without having issues. They are cheap for a reason. Don’t waste your time going to this store. If you want quality boots go across the street to Allen’s. Customer service is much better & so is the quality of their boots! Will never recommend a pair of Tecovas.

My husband was looking for a certain type of cowboy boot. This store has a large selection and has rustic elegance decor. Luke helped us, he was helpful and knowledgeable!Im rating a 5, because of the store and all that includes. However, parking is almost impossible unless you pay at a lot just behind the store. We did not, so we dont know cost. Possible to be lucky and find side street parking..If your looking for an upscale store of this kind, in our opinion, it will be worth going, even with any parking issues.

I have purchased 4 pairs of boots from Tecovas. The last pair I purchased from the store on S. Congress, the customer service is terrible. They act like they are doing you a favor if they wait on you. I have no issue with the boots, but will think long and hard before I purchase another pair from Tecovas. When people are willing to spend $300-500 for a pair of boots then the sales people should act reasonably interested .

They have a lot of amazing stuff and it’s a little on the high end of the price point, but obviously it’s well worth the quality you receive; which is the absolute best. Tecovas make fabulous boots! Here is a picture of my boots - currently one of the most comfortable pair I own. I live in Austin and having a showroom in town was a HUGE selling point for me because until you try on a pair of boots you just dont know how they will fit or look. Also, the owners are so knowledgeable, helpful and super friendly so a visit to the showroom is a pleasant experience regardless. Drop by - you will be happy you did.

First visit to Tecovas. Have been hearing about how amazingly comfortable these boots are. Well, I must agree ! First one I tried on felt like I had been wearing it for a year or two. Can’t imagine how they will feel after they are actually broken in ! Didn’t purchase on this trip, was doing a little recon for Christmas. The store has an amazing selection of boots, belts, and bags. Top of the line quality and without a doubt the best prices on boots of this quality anywhere. Gonna pick up a pair of the Caiman belly boots for 485$. Regular retail anywhere else will run you about a grand $$$. Only drawback getting to the store is the parking situation. It’s on S. Congress, nuff said ☝️

Got a pair of their boots online but they are not true to size, they run 1/2 size big. Their customer service advised to exchange the boots rather than order a smaller pair and return the original. The whole process took 3 weeks because they wait for boots being exchanged to arrive at their warehouse before shipping the exchange. The boots I got as an exchange were used!

Austin (yes, thats one of the associates name, gotta love that) took fantastic care of my partner and me and helped us both find the perfect boot. While trying out the best, most supplest leather boots I HAVE EVER SEEN, we were actually served cocktails!! I said I wanted something fruity and fun and thats just what I got! Austin also recommended Tecovas socks, which honestly are the perfect thing to wear when pulling on those boots.I cant wait to stop here again when Im back in town, this time Ill throw in one of those gorgeous leather duffles and maybe two or three (five) more boots.

I was only able to take a very quick spin of this store. Parking is next to impossible on South Congress. The store was packed, standing room only! You would think they were giving away the boots. I would like to go back when its not so packed so I can actually try on the boots that I went to look at. But when is that going to happen in Austin on South Congress? The good old days when it wasnt as hip and crowded are gone!

I find it hard to believe that a company of this nature would discriminate for years and no one says a word! I have received so many emails from them over the years and I repeatedly asked for 3 or 4 E shoes, only to get a generic response every time! Only serving the elite few with the acceptable widths. Bigots plain and simple. And then to put computer generated response to all letters including this one tells me they really dont give a rats patootie Its all about the almighty dollars Eh Tecovid?

One of the best shopping experiences I have had. Everyone that works there is extremely knowledgeable and I even met Paul, the owner since their corporate office is upstairs. My wife and I were both served complimentary drinks from their bar while we shopped. I love these boots and gurantee they wont be my only pair of Tecovas.

We went into this boot store with very high expectations. Our expectations were not met. There were maybe 4-6 people in the store. After sitting on the couch for 10 min we found someone to help us. We told the person helping us what we wanted to try on. That size boot was brought out. It didn’t work. No suggestions, just silence. We asked about being measured to see if there was an alternative. Again silence. No purchase was made. We were very disappointed with our experience.

These boots are made on a assembly line , they are not custom. I sent my pair back three times and received the same thing. I have a $400 pair of boots I don’t wear.Do not waste your money.

Bought my first Tecovas boots last year and loved them! Was intrested in visiting the new store when I booked a job in Austin. My feet are hard to fit, but the staff was absolutely amazing in finding an exceptional fit. They brought out multiple boots and sizes until everything was perfect. My gratitude to them! I have been warring boots everyday for 25 years. I have owned 100’s of pairs so I know what I’m talking about. These boots are beautiful, very well made and fit well. I will say that the strong leather smell might take a few days to air out. If you are unhappy in any way with your purchase Tecovas will do what it takes to make it right. Give them a try!

Found out they dont get paid on commission.They were out of stock for my boot, but will buy online after getting input on size. (Usually 10.5, but will order 10) What seemed like good advice to me:Boot should hold your forefoot and allow your heel to lift about a 1/4-1/2 inch as you walk. Leather will adapt (or stretch) a bit to your foot.Online orders have free returns.Thanks Tecovas.

We had an amazing experience at the Tecovas showroom in Austin. We were pretty much already sold on the boots prior to dropping by the showroom, but they were even better in person than we anticipated! So soft and comfortable. I love the clean, not overly ornate, design of the all the different models - perfect for everyday wear, but could easily transition into a more dressy look. We were welcomed into the showroom with a handshake and a smile. Getting to try on the boots and speak with Branden made the experience more personal. I would highly recommend these boots, and going by the showroom if you are local.

The service and friendliness was absolutely phenomenal. For a first time boot buyer they walked me through it all and made it very easy. Not to mention you can tell its a quality products. Hats off to these folks.

These are beautiful boots by any standard. Still in the break in period now. Comfy enough. A very cool boot buying experience at the store front in Austin, and easy exchange after I found a small defect in the stitching. I will say, these are “going to town” boots, not up to any more strenuous activity. 4 stars because I feel like if I can work in my 175$ Justin’s, I should be able to ranch in Tecovas for 375$ if I needed to.

Great high quality items such as leather Texas boots and nice cloths. The store looks really nice and very friendly staff. If you are a tourist this is a great place to get something from Austin to remember your trip or to give as a gift. They have real nice shirts with the Texas state on it and some that say Austin.

My husband and I visited the store to try on some boots, but unfortunately they did not have the size in stock. We were able to order them and a belt and received them three days later. The fit and quality of them are perfect. Exceptional customer service was given by Juju at the store. Will definitely purchase another pair.

Ordered and received my Tecovas Cartwright boots about a month ago. As I normally like to touch and feel before I purchase I was a little skeptical. I am thrilled with my purchase. Perfect fit with quality, soft leather. No break in period. Only made one mistake...... I ordered to early and missed the free ball cap being offered.

I love my boots from Tecovas! I really love the style of the round toe boots they carry. They are probably one of the most beautiful and comfortable boots I have ever owned. I am very pleased with them! Customer service is very responsive and helpful. Shipping is free so if you get the wrong size you can easily make it happen. Only thing I was sort of thrown off about is that the boots had some kind of stains and niches on them. Of course they made it right and sent me another pair. Although, I was sent another pair these to had a scratch on the side but not bad enough to send them back and wait. Overall, I am happy with their product and service. Thank you.

Id never bought a well made pair of boots before. I always went bigger because of my wide feet, and the options for a good fitting wide boot in my (former) price range always fit big. I wasnt willing to pay for truly custom boots, but after reading how easy exchanges are with Tecovas are and how almost everyone eventually found a size that fit very well, I decided to give them a try.Ordered my normal boot/ sneaker size to get an idea of fit, and they were too long and much too narrow. I used the included exchange form and return stamp to get my dress shoe size in EE, and got the new boots 5 days later. They fit perfectly, and now Im mad that I couldve had more pairs of Tecovas with all of the money spent on ill-fitting boots in the past.Three weeks later, and Ive found myself reaching for my Tecovas almost every other day. Ive just ordered another pair, and find myself constantly tracking their next style release. It pays to pay a little more for their quality, both in the boot and their awesome customer service.Also, dont forget to properly maintain them, as they will last you a long time if you do. These arent Nikes or Adidas that you buy and trash after a year or two. I personally use Chamberlains products.

My in store shopping experience at Tecovas Boots was excellent. Great location. The re-purpose of an older house is perfect for both the business and the neighbors. It was like dropping by to visit an old friend in a neighborhood where I actually lived back in the 70s. I had a cold one with Paul, talked boots, tried on a pair, placed my order. Boots were shipped on Monday and received on Thursday. Perfect fit. It was well worth my time to make the trip and I think you will find it will be worth your time to make the trip as well. Great customer service in the fact that they let me know when they received the pair I returned and that the next pair would be shipped out soon. If you cant make it to Austin and you think you might like these boots, I strongly recommend ordering a pair and trying them out as there is no loss on your part. Great company!

Love these boots! Received 2 pair for Christmas/Birthday and couldnt be happier! Very high quality leather, extremely comfortable. I live in Austin and was able to try on a pair in the showroom before purchasing (or telling my husband what to purchase), and was pleased with how true to size they are. I will definitely purchase again in the future. I believe they have belts now as well, looking forward to checking those out and purchasing one for my husband.

If youre looking for exotic leather gear, it seems like a great place to start your day.I stopped by on a bleedin hot Austin Summer day, about 105F out, and they offered me water and had some live music playing at one end.I mean, its a leather goods store with jeans and shirts for sale too, not much else to say.Oh! I wear a wide fitted shoe typically.. and found their wide to barely make it. I know parts will stretch a little which is good for me, but if youre a wide to double wide, youre going to be out of luck here I think.

Was really on the fence about buying these or Cuero boots which is very similar in style and craftsmanship but are much more affordable. Since I have bought a pair of these before I decided to just wait.Ordered a pair of boots after waiting 3 weeks for my size to come in. When they came in they sent 2 different size boots. Size 9 and 10.Sent them an email letting them know and they told me they no longer had my size and they could instead ship me back a pair in a different color or style.I did go ahead and give them 2 stars instead of one because they did issue a refund and my previous experience was better than my last.Going to try the Cuero boots out and see if I have better luck.

Fantastic service in the store. Branden knows his boots! I rocked up on a Saturday afternoon and spent an hour sinking a beer and talking about the boots and the craftsmanship behind them. I was pretty much sold on what I wanted before I visited but it was worth visiting just for the experience. Ended up with a cool pair which he sorted shipping on back to my hotel for me! Definitely worth visiting to try them on to find the ones you like the most. Will visit again next time I am in Austin. As a postscript, it has been four months since I visited and the boots are wearing well!!

I ordered a pair of alligator boots a while back on the website. They were advertised as gator but turned out to be crocodile. When I called them and made a suggestion and or place my complaint they told me that these are the cousins..LOL I received them and they didnt fit correctly so they gladly sent me another pair and made the situation right..So that was a good experience. Ive worn the boots a few times and get compliments however I really wanted alligator not crocodile... However what Im really upset about is that now theyve come out with the real deal alligator and I just got off the phone with some gal in customer service and explained this and she checked with the manager and said I was out of the warranty and since Ive worn these few times they wont take them back..I wanted to pay the difference and get what I really wanted in the first place..As far as customer service is concerned I feel to keep a good customer they should have done there best to take care of me..Not the bait & switch technique they used to begin with..HAVE A DIAMOND DAY!!!

I just received the most beautiful boots I have ever owned...and for about half the price as the ones I usually wear! I got the Harper, which is a perfect blend between Western and English. The leather feels like butter and they are made amazingly well. I got my actual size and they are spot-on. And Incredibly comfortable. I am now looking through the catalog for my next pair! Thanks!

This company has the most beautifully made boots and excellent customer service! I bought my husband a pair for Christmas this year and they are his absolute FAVORITE. (Hes a boot man with many pairs!) They are incredibly soft and well made he said they are the most comfortable boots hes ever worn from day one. I need to get a pair for myself now! Luckily for me, I live about a mile from here and I was able to go try on my boots in person. The showroom is set up quite well, and they had enough variety for me to try on several different styles in my size (10.5- which is a hard to find size!) Ive had my boots (went with the Penny) for about a month now and I love them! Extremely comfortable and the quality looks great- time will tell, but I plan on getting a lot of mileage out of them!

This was my first pair of real boots. They look/smell/feel spectacular right when you open the box. (If you size them correctly) They fit exactly how they are supposed to. Im looking forward to getting a lot of wear out of these things. Jump in a pair of these things now before they realize they could sell them for an extra $100 without much issue.
