I cant believe the quality of boots they make for such a cheap price. And customer service was second to none. They actually are excited about their own boots when you call them. Thank you Kimber and crystal! The pics on three website dont do the boots justice.

Great experience buying boots from here! Folks who work there are VERY friendly and not pushy at all. Much more of a personal experience than the other boots shops in town

Can’t say enough good things about Heritage Boot! I’ve visited a few times and everyone I’ve ever dealt with has been incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Most recently Erika helped me find my first (but not last) pair of Heritage boots. Go visit if you’re in Austin, you won’t find boots or service like this anywhere else.

I came in today looking for a pair of boots, not entirely sure what I wanted. Keri assisted me, and was absolutely wonderful. She was attentive, warm, and welcoming. You could SEE that she was more than well informed-- she was passionate! I bought a wonderful pair of boots, and couldnt be happier. Im going to be sure to post pictures and leave good reviews both online and by word of mouth! Seriously, I cannot have been more welcomed or pleased with my service.

Finally made it to Austin and visited the store.So nice meeting the staff...wonderful folks. I ended up buying my second pair of heritage boots. I purchased the first pair of shark skin boots about five years ago and have been very pleased with the quality and comfort. My second pair was purchased about 3 weeks ago...Caiman Boots. Really nice, and again well made and very comfortable. The fit is perfect. The product is everything they say it is....There is truly a difference in a real handmade boot made in small quantities as opposed to a mass produced boot. Thanks again to Kimber and the staff. Awesome, handmade (in Mexico) boots. A Great Quality product!! Be sure and take money with you! These boots are luscious and you will not be able to window shop without buying! Seriously. Be ready to fork it over. I bought three pairs from this shop in quick succession, they were so good.

I had purchased a belt for my husband while in Austin and when I got home it was too small. I called Heritage Boots and they had me return the small one and they shipped me out a bigger size. All of this happened within a 6 day period. AWESOME customer service. If you are shopping for boots or belts I would Highly recommend Heritage Boots! They Rock!! :)

So happy I stumbled upon HB on a trip to Austin. I just purchased my first pair from them yesterday. All of the boot mavens are friendly and knowledgeable, but Chrystal is amazing! Chrystal had awesome opinions on style and ensured I got the right fit. She knows so much about boots and is a really fun person to talk to. I bought my first pair of Heritage boots while on vacation in Austin in May. I tried on quite a few different boots and the staff were very patient, friendly and professional. I am from London UK and have a very large collection of English handmade shoes and I have to say that the quality of construction, materials and design are up there with the best of these. The big surprise for me was just how comfortable they are - I was walking around the streets of Austin straight away with no uncomfortable break-in period. Shortly after I got home to London I saw a new design posted on Instagram that I had to have - after a call to check they would fit the same as my first pair, I placed my order... they arrived and as expected fit perfectly and look absolutely awesome ! I will certainly be returning - hopefully in person!Oh, and the belts are really nice too!

In my opinion best I have seen for off-the-shelf boots. Totally hand-made.The only thing better than the boots was the service. I am very indecisive and spent over an hour at store trying on plenty of boots. Great help from Jason and the 2 girls that were there. They were extremely patient and answered every question and concern I had more than once. Extremely knowledgeable staff!I strongly recommend this place!

Excellent boots and service. The styles are unique, though not every style is available in every size so call if you have your heart set on a particular boot. The boots, purses, bags and other accessories are very well-made from quality materials, and everything is handmade, including the leather tooling. The prices are very reasonable given the quality. The staff is helpful and pleasant, and have a very thorough understanding of boot styles and terminology. Like most boot salespeople they are on commission, but they are very laid back since the boots pretty much sell themselves. I found the sizes to be a half size smaller than my usual boot size, YMMV. I probably dont need any more boots, but I will definitely stop by again, even if its just for the rich smell of leather in the shop (and maybe pick up another pair after all).

Nice boots, limited selection. Wouldnt let you touch the boots Thought that was strange. Never heard of the. So could not a test to the quality. Were somewhat on the expensive side

Terrific boots and serviceYou walk into a small storefront on South Congress and are surrounded by floor to ceiling boots. A smiling face humored me as I uncertainly explained that I might be in the market for some boots to dress up my office attire. First step was to get the right size. Im a 13 in running shoes, but an 11 wound up fitting perfectly.My first criteria was comfort and the boots just disappeared when my feet slid into them. Ok, I wasnt used to heels. They were gorgeous works of art on my feet. I tried on several pair and walked out with black, bull shark boots with a clipped toe. This could become an expensive habit because there are some other boots that are demanding a place in my closet.

I just ordered a pair of Heritage Boots for myself, after examining the pair I bought for my wife. When I put them on, they fit perfectly (ordered over phone). They are the most comfortable pair of footwear I have ever worn on first fitting. The materials appear to be of very good quality and the workmanship is excellent. I paid about $450 out the door, so to speak, for these boots and I feel that I got a tremendous bargain. Look around, you will NOT find this quality of footwear, particularly cowboy boots, with the serious craftsmanship and attention to detail at this price range anywhere else. Prior to buying these boots, I looked pretty seriously at 600-1000 Lucchese boots and their high end competitors. These Heritage Boots exceed those brands by far. If you are in the market for a pair of boots, do yourself a favor and buy some from Heritage. You will not be disappointed.I am a little dismayed by others comments about rude service. Each of the employees I spoke to over the phone were quite courteous. Furthermore, these boots are moderately expensive for boots as a category, but for what you get, they are not at all overpriced.

I ordered over phone as Im not in Texas. Fit was great and quality is superb. Id tried to find boots at many shops in Texas and around country and never found comfortable fit or quality close to that at Heritage boots. I have two pairs and plan to get more in 2017.

Heritage Boot took me from a dedicated dress shoe guy, to a gave them all away, daily Heritage Boot wearing guy.No, they are not inexpensive, but high quality item is? I respect the request to not serve yourself when in the store. Why wouldnt you just let them help you? It is their store, and the Boot Mavens are certainly not pushy.The Mavens are exceedingly friendly. They take a genuine interest in what boot will feel comfy, look the best, and which boot will be best for you in the long run.Many other stores have zillions of options, not Heritage. But, the choices available are simply divine. I order most of mine over the phone now. They make it that easy.Today, I expect to receive my 9th, no...10th, no, 13th pair. I am a fan, and a converted dress shoe wearer, even in warm Florida.

My family recently visited this store and we were very unimpressed. Terrible customer service. Rude and not helpful whatsoever. I dont have a clue why the store says custom boots when they have a factory in Leon, Mexico making their products. I would highly recommend going to a REAL custom boot store- Leddys in Ft. Worth, Texas. Well worth your time, and the customer service is FANTASTIC!!

11/12/2012Today I visited Heritage Boots and had the worst shopping experience of my life, bar none. As a veteran shopper at 54 years of age, I have never been yelled at and addressed as Hey, Momma! (except by my young children) in a retail establishment.From the get-go, the female assistant demonstrated attitude to my friend and me. Upon entering the store, I told the assistant that I was shopping there because they had come highly recommended by a personal shopper at Nordstroms. (Since the Nordstroms shoe department is the king of customer service, I was confident I would receive excellent service here, too.) The assistant had no response to my compliment but gave me a verbal reprimand for touching the boots. I continued to inquire about the price of the boots (starting point is high $300s but many are twice or three times that much, btw) and asked why I could not handle the boots. Shortly thereafter my friend and I left, but I returned to express my concerns to the manager/owner about my customer service experience. Before I could finish my first sentence, the manager/owner cut me off with Hey, Momma! You are the one with the attitude. When I told him that I was unaware that I could not touch the merchandise, he continued in a raised voice, Hey, Momma! There are signs all over the store telling you of our policy. We are a full service boot store. If you want to take boots off a shelf, then go down to Allens Boots.! I answered that I did not see the signs; when I came into the store I was focused on the boots. I also told him that after this, I wouldnt spend a dime in his store. As I walked out, he continued insulting/berating me with his chant of Hey, Momma!I also took his advice -- walked down to Allens Boots. There my friend and I were greeted by a friendly young salesman who immediately asked how he could be of service. He spent at least 20 minutes showing me his selection of ladies boots and discussing the brands and qualities of boots the store carried, as well as how to ensure a proper boot fit. I told him I wasnt quite ready to purchase but when I was, I would come back to see him! He handed me his business card and wished me a good day. I then told him of my shopping experience at Heritage...the sad thing is that he was not all that surprised.By the way, I have never written a review of a business but felt compelled to let Heritage know that retail is no place for insults and name-calling. But that would seem obvious to most people.

After turning 40-somthing last week, I realized I really was turning into my father. The man had a closet full of bespoke cowboy boots, custom built by the same bootmaker using a last of his feet from the mid to late 1970s. Now I dont think I have ever had the trouble he did finding high quality shoes that fit me off the shelf but I did want to make the investment in something of similar quality. After seeing article after article this year regarding Heritage Boots, I wanted to start there and see if I could find something to fit the bill. The first thing that hit me was the smell. You can almost hear Ricardo Montalban saying ...rich Corinthian leather.... I can understand the urge to pet each boot as you walk in, but really, I dont want to pay for boots that someone else was fondeling. I can appreciate the policy. It was extremely helpful in guiding me in size, style and leather to suit my needs. I even think I found my next pair when Im ready for something fancier. Trying on different sizes and having his experienced eye tell how one will work over the other was very helpful. Then he asked if I wanted to take them around for a walk, as he took the tag off and gave me a bag for the shoes I wore in.So, some new black sharkskin kicks and Im a happy customer. I cant wait to introduce others to this local craftsman here in South Austin.
