Incredible customer service. I live in SC and I reached out to Noel for a pair of customized boots for a retirement gift. He personally went out of his way to purchase a pair of boots at a Allen’s Boots down the road, and then added on to them. I gave him an idea of what I wanted and he nailed it.

Noel is a royal dude. He pays great attention to your names and interests. And guess what. He’s got an extremely high quality vintage boot for you. I’m sure the custom built ones would be very special. He has tremendous passion and knowledge. We have great memories of visiting here. By far superior and more interesting than the other boot shops.

Noel was patient and worked with me to get my custom boots just right. I flew in from Colorado where, just like Texas, cowboy boots are a way of life, and not a day goes by here without someone stopping me to see where I got these beautiful boots and paying me a compliment. Noel is a true craftsmen, a great person, and after pouring his heart into this, a friend. Thanks again Noel, I hope you see this, you knocked it out of the park!

Noel has a neat store and seems to have a good reputation but my experience was not very good. I went in last September and was measured for a simple pair of boots. I wanted my company logo on the boots and nothing else. I paid him a deposit of several hundred dollars (50% of what he quoted me for the finished product). He told me to expect them in 4-6 months--from Feb-April. I never heard anything from him so I called him in late March and he seem to have the logo ready but he did not comment on when they would be finished. Called him again in May and June. No communication was ever initiated by Texas Custom Boots. I really started feeling uncomfortable with the lack of communication and I didnt want to put more money into a bad deal so a couple of weeks (July) ago I emailed him cancelling the order and asking him to refund whatever of the deposit he felt was fair. I got no response and no refund. I would not leave a deposit with him if you order boots. Good luck to all and to Noel. I hope he isnt sick or something.Follow up Noel texted yesterday and we seem to have a plan to resolve this.

Noel and his team are artists. Theyve made boots for some of the biggest names in America. From Ronald Reagan to Clint Eastwood to Kevin Costner. Texas Custom Boots is a true Austin original business. The ambience is great and very real. And theyve never gotten to big to repair a pair of workboots. Really good people

The people who work here are very nice and fair. I bought a pair of 200 dollar ostrich boots (the price was low because of a small tear on the front of the boot) and Noel patched them up quick and re heeled the right boot for only 25 dollars. I think I lucked out with these, but the other boots only range around 400 dollars for a great pair. Theyve got a wide variety of materials, and will make sure you are happy with the ones you get. They said custom made ones start around 1000.. Im sure those are worth it if youve got that kind of money.Anyways, stellar place.

I took my boot to five different shoe repair places and they all told me my repair could not be done, or the repair wouldnt be pretty. I was so lucky to find Texas custom boots. He was able to fix my boot like new again:) I highly recommend this shop. It also took less the a day for the repair.

Very knowledgeable and courteous staff with quick turnaround. I brought in an old pair of boots I got second hand to get them resoled to fit tighter. Instead of taking advantage of me the man that helped me suggested a cheaper alternative of custom insoles. Saved me money and made my old boots look and fit like new.

I think that they must do a good job on repairs from what I have read but my daughter ordered a pair of $2000. custom boots a year and half ago and each time we go to check on them we are told they just got the leather in and had to send them out to be made. A 50% deposit and no work has been preformed on them at this time. I would never order another pair of customs from them. They have never returned a call or email and we have had to go to the shop to inquire each time. Maybe it is because we have been patient but the patience are running thin.

I stopped in here on the rare chance that they might have some leather straps for a hat project Im working on. While they didnt specifically have hat bands, the owner (who embarrassingly I didnt even get his name) said he had an idea and led me to his workshop. He helped me find EXACTLY what I was looking for and I didnt even know what I was looking for exactly. Thank you sooo much! Im not sure I expressed my gratitude enough before leaving.

I had my $300 favorite sandals torn and ruined in the suitcase on the plane and was about to put them in the trash when my husband suggested to try to fix them. It looked hopeless, but when he brought them back from Texas Custom Boots, they looked and felt like new for very little money, I was really impressed. Thanks a lot!

I was a first-time boot buyer from Austin who came to TCB after a disappointing experience at Allens. Not only was the attendant helpful when figuring out my boot size, he showed me their impressive collection of refurbished boots and picked several out for me. He explained their refurbishing process in detail and provided me with advice on boot care and storage before cutting me a fantastic deal on the boots and boot trees, which (combined) cost much less than HALF of a comparable deal at Allens. I also requested a custom dye change which was ready the very next day. TCB has a remarkable selection of refurbished boots and an incredibly friendly staff, and they provide excellent customer service in every aspect of the boot purchasing and repairing processes. I would recommend this store to absolutely anyone!

A friend, Krissi Marshall Stull, told me about this place. Ive been in several times looking for used boots. The owner, Noel Escobar, and all his employees are real craftsmen. They can fix anything wrong with your boots - from a new sole to rebuilding the entire boot. Dog chewed the toe off. No problem. One day Im going to have Noel custom make some boots for me.

So I usually get my boots reconditioned once a year. Last time I went to Austin Shoe Hospital and they didnt do a very good job I had some scuff marks on the tips of my boots and they didnt even recondition my soles! They charged me $30 at Austin Shoe Hospital just for reconditioning and so I found TCB and Noel was friendly and knowledgable he will tell you exactly what needs to be done. He said my heels were worn out so I got them replaced plus reconditioning for $50. To me it was very reasonable and I dont mind paying a little more to have great quality craftsmanship. In the end my Lucchese boots came out looking amazing as in looking brand new. Will for sure be coming back next time.

I came here for a purse repair because the reviews seemed really good. Im sorely disappointed. I dropped my bag off on January 7th and explained I wanted the handle glued and restitched and the bottom corner restitched. The guy told me it would be done in a week and it would cost 15-20 dollars. He gave me a little ticket with no other info on it other than a claim number. I came back in a week and 2 days assuming it would be ready since no one contacted me. They had no idea where the purse was, who I was etc. They eventually found it and the guy said hed just started working on it. Another guy took a ticket to write my info on. He took my ticket and wrote down a phone number I could call but said hed be on top of it and would call me when it was ready. I never got a call. I called them 2-3 times and never reached anyone or got a call back. Today, February 6th I called to see if theyd finished it. A guy picked up and said he had received my voicemail and didnt know who I was or what bag I was talking about. I described the bag to him and he found it eventually. Then he said he just needed to brush it down and condition it and I could come get it. I came down and a guy eventually came in and I gave him my ticket. He brought me the bag and the handle and bottom were repaired. The handle still had some wear that they didnt bother to fix and more importantly there was a huge rip in the inside pocket that wasnt they when I dropped it off. The guy tried to tell me it was rotted which is bs. He ripped the hole so he could restitch the bottom and he never sewed it back. It was a huge nasty rip that was not there when I dropped off the purse. He took it from me and crappily stitched it on the sewing machine while asking me how old the bag is. Then he charged me 50 bucks for the repair when he initially said it would be 15-20 bucks. The guys arent mean dudes just super disorganized and unprofessional. I think its lame they tried to blame the rip they made on my purse being old and rotting. The purse is quality. I also think its lame they made me wait a hundred years, never contacted me, had no clue where my purse was or who I was and then over charged me on the estimate. Its b.s. Id never come back.
