This is a very very tight and small place its very big outside but the units to walk away everything is really tight if you have something big and bulky its going to be hard or you have to pay for a larger unit. It is hard to drive into it because it shares the same driveway with productions with big trucks on the outside of it and hard to pull in the back to pull your truck around really need to work on a better way to pull in and out. Every white man this could be a really good place for especially for the amount of money you pay if it is make it a little bit more accessible and a little bit bigger

Not serious company. We hired a truck several days in advance for a scheduled move from Buckhead to Lawrenceville. They just sent us a message (less than 12 hours before starting our work), telling us that we have to look for the truck 30 minutes from where we reserved it, and that we cannot return it where we agreed in the reservation but that we have to do it where we withdraw. When we called nobody could give us a solution because there is no manager available. We hope someone fixes or compensates for the nuisance they are not causing by tomorrow. reservation number 22184892.

Online reservation of storage room made two weeks prior to move in date, for a cross-state move. Showed up on reserved move-in date in the morning, and - surprise! No room available. Waited in the office over an hour while a single overwhelmed and overworked worker helped everyone else while trying to help calling the busy Uhaul support line.Left after an hour with no response or resolution.Sat in the full truck, and through my phone made a same day online reservation at a nearby Public Storage. Got a confirming call back in 3 minutes, had the key to the storage unit in 20 minutes, and unloaded the truck within the hour.Lesson learned.I will NOT return to this location, and do NOT recommend using Uhaul storage in general.

Waited an entire hour (even though we were first in a line of 12 and we reserved the truck 3 days ahead of time). Only one person was working about she was talking to someone on her phone the entire time. PLUS, I ordered a 15 truck and got a 10... Horrific, definitely not going there again. Ill remember to use Enterprise next time.

Love this location! Trail and Stephanie were very attentive to my moving needs. I had a horrible experience with a rental unit after driving 15 hrs from out of state to GA. Rental unit was horrible and I needed a place to temporary place my items. I had my trailer at another dealer but Trail was able to make it where I didnt need to be driving all over town after a long 15 hr drive + 3 hrs with rental apartment that failed through for us. Thank you ladies sooo much! Highly recommend!

Beware. We rented a large unit on the ground level which was temperature controlled. After almost a year, we discovered off the charts, severe mold due to negligence of the facility. As we removed our belongings, the walls in our unit were covered in mold, the walls felt like sponges with bubbling paint and water seeping. There was standing water on the floor, rust, maggots and worms had infested our things, and everything had to be disposed of. The owner/manager is completely unresponsive, has offered no compassion, and is not doing anything to rectify. We wouldn’t be surprised if it was preexisting and they painted over it before we moved in. We are heartbroken to have lost irreplaceable things. We hope the word gets out to other renters there.

This is a great place to buy moving boxes, as well as rent trucks. Kiera helped me find everything I needed, boxes and the correct size, paper, etc. Kiera was very helpful, and kind. They initially rented me a vehicle with a passenger mirror that would not stay in position but for less than a few seconds and without a passenger to help, I cannot even begin to tell you how dangerous that I was given this vehicle and allowed to leave their premises. After I drove less than 0.1 mile, the mirror was out of place and then I went in a parking lot to adjust it and found that I could not get it to stay in a position so I could see to the right of my vehicle. It was hard to get back to the u haul facility given they are on a very busy 4 lane road. When I saw that the mirror had evidence that it had been adjusted so much to try to fix it that the allen wrench hole was stripped almost round, this revealed to me that this was likely a longstanding problem. IMO, this truck or mirror should have been removed from the rental fleet. I was then given a replacement vehicle with over 85000 miles. As old as it was mileage wise, It worked surprisingly well. I examined the mirrors carefully before departing and validated that the allen wrench slot had no evidence of stripping on either side.I was never given a strong apology from the staff as would have been appropriate or a thank you for letting us know of this dangerous situation. They were polite and did not question my concern and took my old key very matter-of-factly nor did I hear them tell one another let us get that one out of circulation.

Five stars to the young woman who assisted us yesterday. She was super fast and knowledgeable. Attached the trailer to the truck w/ no problem; saw all the pieces and assembled it in a snap. She was holding down the fort by herself and it was a busy morning, but she still took the time to help me find the house keys that I misplaced. Thank you!!!

Customer service was not acceptable. Upon returning the van, the attendant actually yelled at me and asked what part of the return here sign did I not understand. Trying to explain that I did not see a sign, she stated that I didn’t look. The attendant who checked my van in was totally unprofessional. I returned the van 3 hrs early, cleaner than I picked it up and had more gas than when I received it. They did not bother to acknowledge that, or thank me for my business. This has to be one of the WORST experiences I have had. I will never do business with U-HAUL again.

Didn’t tell us how long the wait will be or anything and just left us hanging in the store waiting like fools. Doesn’t give a damn about customer service. Don’t recommend this Uhaul center. Try the one at 14th instead.

My first ever experience with them was very bad. Booked from this location near to my home for 9 am. They changed the location to some other which is 8 miles away. I called them and was on call for 1 hour to correct this issue. On the morning of pickup they changed the pickup time to 11:30 am. I waited with all my luggage packed and went there to pickup the truck. To my surprise they said they dont have a truck till 5:30 pm. I called customer care, they asked me to pick from other location, I went there and same thing happened again. Again called them, they said there is another location. I got the truck finally at 12:45 pm. Wasted around 4 hours of time on a hot day. Will not use UHaul in future.

Charles was so nice. I’ve been to so many locations where the employees were sullen and fully over being at work for the day. Charles had a positive attitude and was genuinely happy to help.Also, he called me to let me know I had left items in the van when I’d returned it. That was the best.On top of it all, he seemed to be the only one working.To be so rushed and busy and to keep your cool and be polite is rare. Please give Charles more money. Or a new car. Or maybe a nice condo.

Went to Uhaul (11/14/20) to get some tape & a few boxes. Walked in & did not see any employees. After waiting for about 10 mins I go outside to see if someone was around to service me. In the meantime another customer comes in & I ask if he saw any of the employees & he points to a heavy set black woman. I ask the woman was anyone else working & she rudely replied NO and continued doing what she was doing outside. I go back inside & wait an additional 5 mins, STILL the woman does not come inside, ask if I need anything .....NOTHING!!! Definitely do not recommend this particular Haul location, if anything GO IN THE MORNINGTIME or not at all. Very disappointed.

I originally reserved my truck online and chose additional insurance. Safe move plus and a special policy called safe passenger coverage for COVID-19. When picking up the truck there was a technical difficulty on the U-Haul side, as well as an employee who was new and only had been working there 2 days. I was told that they had to start my reservation over as a “walk in”. I said to the the employee inputting the information into the computer, and the training employee, make sure I have the same additional insurance and Covid insurance. The new girl didn’t know what that was and the training employee came over, pointed to a few things on the screen and went back to her area. When I signed the paperwork I paid an additional $128 for what was listed as additional fees for Safe Move insurance. I assumed this was for the additional insurance and the Covid coverage. I ended up needing the additional insurance due to a health issue with Covid 19. Well apparently the additional coverage I ordered was not included on my truck rental like I requested, was verbally confirmed by both employees, and am being told basically, sorry...wish we could help you! I have tried to reach the on site office countless times and never can I get through. I am no longer in the state (hence, needing the U-Haul) so am not able to stop by in person. I have spoke to the insurance company countless times, who has been instructed by U-Haul corporate not to acknowledge coverage. I am hoping that someone from U-Haul with the ability to assist me will read this and contact me, as I would like to get this resolved without any further escalation! This is if no fault of my own and in my mind a simple solution would be to pull the tapes of the 10 or so cameras in the office and play back the transaction and conversation that was had at the time of rental.UPDATE!!! I have since found a screenshot of The original reservation and inform them of just that and I am not able to get a phone call or email back!!!

The U-Haul facility is accessible off Piedmont. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable. I assisted in a storage to house move. The only thing I noticed was there was no air flow on the fourth floor. All ceiling fans are were off.

Ive increased the rating from 1 star to 3 because it seems they are willing to correct their mistakes and improve. I caution future customers to be sure to tell them how they can improve.9/2017 - Original Post - These people are thieves. The bill stated $81, even after all the surcharges and taxes, they charged me $92, its on my credit card statement as well. I call, I email, they will not respond.In addition, I spent my personal money to refill the tank to precisely the level I found it at, but they charged me additional $10 nonetheless. That brought the bill to $81 (it should have been $71). They owe me $21 and wont return it to me. Its clear what kind of business theyre running here.These people are literally thieves.

If I could give zero stars I would—the key for our after-hours rental was not in the lock box, nor were any other keys in their respective lock boxes. We called U-Haul and were transferred from department to department for an hour and a half and all they could say was that the missing keys were due to a management issue. Truly one of the worst experiences I have ever had with any sort of transaction.

Rented a cargo van to move apartments. Picked up van 5/30 at 530 pm. Was able to check on online and provide my license and credit card info. Got in & out in about 20 minutes. Only one person in staff, so had to wait Let me park my car there overnight while I was renting the van. Van was clean and they had the requested equipment. Quick easy return. Again only one employee working and it took four minutes for him to come to the counter.

Every visit to Uhaul has been a calamity. Quality and speed of service has continued to decline. The app never functions as it should, in fact, Ive been warned by every employee Ive encountered, that the app is garbage and dont use it. The issues with customer fulfillment and overall negative customer experience is not the fault of the those working in the locations, I fully blame the company and its senior leaders. It is clear that Uhaul does not ensure frontline employees recieve training, it is clear that the mobile app was launched with a number of critical defects that are still not addressed, it is clear that Uhauls POS and asset management systems are outdated and contributing to many of the issues. Somebod at Uhaul needs to do something different and stop relying on comfortable brand recognition. My experience is not isolated. Your brand is damaged by poor operations and negative experiences.

The staff at U-Haul Moving and Storage at Piedmont is EXCELLENT! The day that I picked up my U-Haul trailer for a cross-town move, the computer software was slow and not loading. Manager Kierra and Jasyme were SO kind, patient, and seemingly unstressed given the crazy logistics that goes into renting out trucks and dealing with the line of people that had formed. They could have both been in a bad mood - I sure wouldve been! - but they handled the situation beautifully. Its obvious that Kierra knows what shes doing! T helped me hook up my trailer, but with my bad luck the electronics on my SUV didnt work and the trailer brakes wouldnt activate. T even hooked up another trailer to double check AND use an electronic tester to determine that the electronics were shot on my car. This whole time he was hustling outside in Atlanta in July! Crazy work ethic. He then helped me find a U-Haul van that I could rent instead. Moving is the worst, and this experience couldve thrown a huge wrench in my plans, but the staff at U-Haul Moving and Storage at Piedmont totally saved my day. Ill definitely be a repeat customer!

The manager Paul was so calm and competent, he really put me at ease. He made sure I was taken care of, and set a wonderful tone for my whole day! My move was last minute and extremely helpful. Patreace, Tim, and Damion gave me 5 star customer service from start to finish. Any misunderstanding I experienced, Patreace patiently walked me through the process and helped me accomplish my goal. Staff is kind and personable. When we arrived to pick up our online order no one even acknowledged our existence as we were standing at the counter directly in front of the two clerks. They were both on their phones answering only what I can assume to be personal texts. Finally they asked what we needed and we replied with the fact that we were there to pick up an online order. After giving them our info they handed us a piece of paper with our order printed on it we were motioned towards our tape that we ordered and told us “you can get your own boxes” then yelled at me when I chose from “the wrong pile”. I hate this place. Never again.

This has been the worst experience from the time I called. I originally called just to price check the units but was told to stay on the line and I was getting the best deal. After being on the line over 20 mins, still nothing was accomplished. My information was taken by a lady who kept stalling me with idle chitchat and random conversation only for her to transfer me to customer service because she was not able to figure out what she was doing. All the while I had no idea why I was transferred, so when customer service picked up they had no idea why I was on the line. To top that off, the CS rep that I was on the phone with hung up on me when I asked for a recording of the entire call.I then called back to speak with a manager or supervisor and was told that that there was no one for me to speak with and she couldnt even pull up the proper information for me to contact the store manager or any person of authority. Needless to say, I am extremely dissatisfied with me entire experience.

From the beginning this was the wrong choice for me. I generally go to the one in Brookhaven and I always have the most pleasurable time and customer service experience there, but this morning I choose to come to the one closet to my home because I needed some extra packing and moving supplies. After arriving and looking for parking (there is no signs that says parking is in the back) I tried to park on the side safely so I can run in and out to pick up my 2 items, but was GREETED by a young black lady that screamed at me to move my car “You have to park in the back, you can’t park there, move your car now.” As I drove around trying to find parking, I asked a guy with a uhaul shirt on helping another individual if there was parking in the back, and he said it’s back where the other cars are parked🤷🏾‍♂️ It’s 395 feet down a Gil around back and not visibale with signs all around it that says no parking👀. I would know this because I had already tried to find parking there and nothing specific said that this was uhaul parking. Anyway, as I grabbed my little dog (who Is properly leashed) that the young black girl attendant who screamed at me before clearly saw was in the car with me, immediately says to me as I open the door. “NO DOGS ALLOWED SIR” again, saw signs that said no smoking 🚭 no weapons but no sign that said no pets! Instead of arguing on this fine Sunday morning, I realized that it was a MISTAKE for me to even come here in the first place. My mistake!. But it will never happen again!.. When will we as business owners begin to offer proper customer service training to these new, young and fresh employees?? If I could have given them a NO STAR .. I would have. It is too early on Sunday morning for anyone to be this rude! If you did not want to come to work today, stay at home with that! You work in a service industry.. PERIOD

I had an absolutely awful experience with uhaul this weekend. I booked a truck roughly 3 weeks ago at the peidmont rd location. Without informing me, uhaul changed my pick up site to a further location because they did not have the truck I ordered at peidmont rd. When I got to the further location the man laughed at me and said he didnt have a truck available for me and already had more reservations than trucks. Why would anyone logically do that? I then called back to my original location (very angry) and she connected me with some sort of area manager who sent me to yet a 3rd location (even further) to pick up a truck. At this point I was already an hour behind on my day and I was only supposed to have the truck for 5 hours. She told me I could only keep the new truck for 4 hours. Why should I be penalized for their mistake??? So I showed up at the 3rd location and the man said he had my reservation but laughed because someone locked the keys in the truck and the man wouldnt be there for 30 minutes to get them. WHATTTT????? I was very angry. After some strong convincing he eventually gave me another truck on the lot. Im not sure if I was screwing someone else over or if it was not booked for that day but the man working said uhaul does this all the time and people frequently come in angry. I had a terrible experience and uhaul ruined my moving day. I will not be using this company again.

They advertise extended access and 24 hour access upon request. This is false advertisement and i am pretty much locked out of my unit the only time i have to go there is at night when i am off work. The access cards are always getting deprogrammed somehow and not working. The B building finally got the A/C fixed after being disregarded and not fixed. For 2 of the worse months of heat Atlanta has ever had. The manager. Wouldnt take responsibility for it and perhaps compromise but 1 of the 2 months and that was only because i had to argue my point that it was a breach of contract and bad business. If he didnt fix it and perhaps comp the monthly fees. It was a pure hassle and agony trying to move furniture around and consolidate the contents of my unit in 89-90 degree heat inside metal buildings, with no airflow. I had planned on selling the contents of unit this prior month but under circumstances could not due to the heat. So another month hasgone by that wasnt bugeted for. If i do finally get to sell my belongings, Now that a/c is finally fixed. I am in prelien status and possibly in danger of loosing, to auction, the contents and alot of my personal family hand me downs. Hopefully a compromise of partial payment as paid in full and apology will be given for the hassle. Will keep u updated.

Ive used this place several times over the years. My unit was broken into and I was never noticed. Only when I went to put something in unit did I know that the lock was different.

On Saturday January 24th 2014 I loaded my U-Box in Atlanta, Georgia (Piedmont Rd base), I gave them all the information (I had actually already scheduled the load over the Internet). They said that it would take 9 business days to get to Houston, TX. I tried to see the status of my shipment thru the website by using the contract number... It never worked... (a error message prompted reading There was an error processing your request, after 2 weeks waiting for my U-Box I called the Atlanta base, they had no idea where my UBox was, they called me back and they said that it was still in Atlanta because they couldnt call me to confirm the destination address because the number was not right. I doubt it because I had already confirmed everything twice with them (online application + in the store). Nobody tried to reach me thru email either and my contract status on the web still is not working... Right now I havent received my things yet and its been almost 17 days with ALL my things, its going to take another extra 9 BUSINESS days because the unprofessional work of the U-Haul people in Atlanta. I had to buy lot of stuff that I had in my UBox.I want to express my totally disappointment with the service provided by U-Haul, it-s my first and last time I will request your services. Its totally a surprise that such a PREMIUM moving service (900$ for a UBox its not cheap) and such a big company operates so bad and they havent had the resources to find out about the owner of the UBox. (I still dont understand why they have to reconfirm the address before shipping the box... and why my online profile still doesnt work).TERRIBLE SERVICE
